It's been a long day, without you my friend, and I'll tell you all about it when I see you again. Due to the lack of updates over the past (couple) months and the fact that I was busy, I'm going to try and get this chapter from 6000 to 8000 words. Essentially, I want to pack nearly everything about episode three but with a few extra things on top. I know what I'm about to write might piss off some readers but there's a method to my madness and a desire for some actual conflict that's not anime or Star Wars based and is my own semi-original works.
PS. I now have a job and a drivers license, the 19-year-old mess that I am is finally getting his life together.
"I'm home!" Izuku called out as he entered the domain. Honestly, his day was exhausting and not because of school. Learning about not just one of the world's greatest secrets but two of them, put a toll on the Sith's mind. However, while he still knew what his answer was going to be, he just needed to consult his Master on the dangers first. "Big Brother!"
A small 3-year-old weight crashed into the greenette and had he not been as strong as he was, he would most certainly have been knocked over. A small boy hugged his, while not biological older brother, older sibling none the less. Oliver Lee was an almost spitting image of his late older sister, save for the scar on his left cheek. When Oliver was only a year old, his parents crashed the car. Honestly it wasn't their fault, Samantha was simply driving with her husband and child when somebody came at them headfirst. The one who crashed them was intoxicated and was driving about 35 Kilometers per hour over the speed limit. While the man only broke some bones and bruised his body, simply due to having a bigger safer car, the married couple weren't as lucky. Oliver's father died on the operating table after being rushed to the hospital. His mother, while some time was bought from surgery it would only last her so long. Oliver, only suffered some glass shards cutting his cheek due to being in the back seat with a child booster seat.
Samantha, using the last few hours of her life, remained calm and wrote out a final will to her loved ones. A few things were to be given to Izuku, her late daughters' boyfriend, and a small amount of money to be given to her younger sister as well her brother-in-law each. The rest was to go to Oliver once he became a legal adult of 20. As it turns out, the Lees owned a small plot of land and a two-bedroom house on it outside of Mustafa, but they wanted Ana to be able to interact with children her age. Samantha also made a request to Inko, as her sister and brother-in-law were not financially stable at the time, she wanted Inko to adopt and raise Oliver in her and her husband's stead. Samantha was even willing to give a portion of her will to Inko as payment, but the green haired woman refused it. Inko had no desire to extort a dear friend on her death bed, and simply said, "The only payment here is that Izuku now has a younger brother, someone he can watch over and care for. I don't want your money, leave it all for Oliver." Samantha reluctantly agreed and called her lawyer asking for custody to be held by Inko until it became permanent. Inko now was the guardian and mother figure for Oliver as well as manages his inheritance until he is old enough to claim it.
The man who crashed into them, had his license revoked. This wasn't even his first offence, he had two other DUI's on his record from years ago. He was charged with vehicular manslaughter and was sentenced to 6-month jail time. He was also to turn over about 54 million yen to Oliver and 10 Million yen to each of the siblings of those he killed. (In united states dollars it was almost the equivalent of 700 grand.)
The man was, while not poor, was well off enough to live comfortably and as a result could not afford the payment, so he had to sell his home and his second car, his first one, being worth almost nothing. His final addition on his sentence was he would have to attend AA and a psychologist to keep an eye on him after he got out of jail. Sometimes Izuku, hears his mother grumble that it wasn't enough.
Oliver, while too young to remember his parents, always questions why he doesn't share his last name with Inko nor Izuku. Their answer was that when he was older, they would explain everything. Although, Darth Ferno knew he would not be present for that conversation as he would be long gone, building his empire. "Where did you come from? Did you have a good time at preschool?" Oliver nodded his head quickly as he hugged his big brother looking up at him. "Could you let go, I need to get to my room and do some work."
"No, hug time." The Sith gave a tired sigh. Some days he didn't want to go through this song and dance, but he didn't have much of a choice, appearances must be kept. "Fine, but only for a few minutes." Darth Ferno stood still as the younger boy hugged him. Inko came in on the sight with a smile. "You're awfully late, young man, what took you?" Izuku shrugged as he removed Oliver for the embrace, the young boy pouting. "You'll likely see if you check the news." Izuku put a smile on his face and walked to his room. "That does not inspire me with confidence young man!"
Izuku, opened his door dropped the smile and closed it, while simultaneously locking it. He began his after-school hobby of mediation. He didn't even need to reach out with the force because he knew his master was right there. "You know you're not fooling me, right?" Izuku made no move towards his master. "I have no idea what you are talking about."
"You are quite lucky Lord Ferno, had you had a different Sith Master they would have ordered you to kill them by now." Izuku twitched but Alcor paid no heed as he continued. "I think I've been too lenient with you regarding your two ties." "Simply following your ideals." Alcor paused in his rants. He gave a low chuckle before responding. "Oh, you clever little thing, funny, but remember that right is reserved for a master of my line, not an apprentice. For now, you can continue doing what you were, but when the times comes, I expect you to cut those ties."
Ferno nodded his head. "I'm not going to kill them." Alcor gave a pointed glare at his apprentice. "Not what I mean but whatever." A small part of the younger Sith that still retained humanity was glad, at least Oliver and his mother have each other when he inevitably leaves. "I wanted to ask you."
"About One for All?" Izuku made a sound of acknowledgement. "Yeah, how did you know about that?" Alcor let out a laugh. "UA's rodent problem is partial to many secrets." Ferno understood. Alcor had told him what happened the night he fought Endeavor. "We can discuss it more in detail when we sneak out to the bunker. For now, just continue to meditate."
"I know you're the boss and all, and I really don't have much of a say, but can you please stop pacing while muttering? I need to work on my latest baby." A pink haired inventor called out from her position on the floor, holopad in hand. Mei Hatsume, with the directive and help of Alcor and Ferno managed to get her hyperactivity under control, but no less passionate about inventing. Ferno didn't know what she was designing but the fact that Alcor was advising her, likely meant it was something form the ship they were building.
Outside the bunker sat an unfinished ship that took years to make with only three people. The outer shell was made with a Magnesium Aluminum Alloy, a middle shell made of Carbon Steel for strength, a thermal insulator that keeps the inside warm preventing heating leaks, and the inner shell uses a thin layer of Tungsten Carbide, for structural integrity and rigidity. Of course, the inside was painted red and grey to act more inviting, because the ship was supposed to be used as a home of sorts. Only the main rooms for the three floors had been completed, while the smaller rooms had yet to be built.
The lowest level currently consisted of a small kitchen area, said space, holding a countertop, a table, an oven, a large sink, and fridge. Alcor also pulled out the schematics for what Ferno could only describe as an advanced microwave designed to not only perfectly heat food, but also flash freeze it. The next part of the level was a large cargo holding space designed to act as storage and a boarding zone. It also had the ability to keep the cargo door open while in deep space with a smaller gravity shield. It was adapted by Mei after studying bigger ones designed to go on multi-km long ships. It allowed the passage of objects when the field was on but keep the air and artificial gravity inside. The final two parts of that level were ten unfinished small private quarters, and two unfinished fresheners, with a single one complete.
The middle level consisted of the vital systems belonging to the ship. The cockpit was unfinished but was set to be completed by the end of the year, save for a few missing things. Alcor had yet to bring up schematics for computers and climate control systems, but Ferno figured they would come later. A large room next the cockpit remained empty that housed high voltage outlets typically designed for heating and cooling devices, so Ferno assumed those were for Air Scrubbers and climate control devices. A small room on the opposite end of the Cockpit housed an advance emergency battery for when the generators might go out. Apparently, Mei took preexisting schematics and improved upon them with graphene and gallium-nitrate based technology, increasing efficiency and decreasing waste heat. The room also acted as the main circuit breaker location and was given a separate lock from the other rooms.
Opposite of the climate room, held a gravity generator that created artificial gravity, epically in deep space or hyperspace. Unfortunately, Alcor banned Mei from improving on the technology because it had the potential to create a small black hole if not worked on by experts. The Blackhole that could've formed wouldn't have been big enough to destroy the planet but enough to cause some serious damage to Japan itself. In between the cockpit and the power distribution room sat a large open area for Alcor and Ferno to meditate on and the remining space held a lead walled room for the ship's generators.
Currently the room held Alcor's upgraded fusion generator, a large heavy wire running out of the ship and into the bunker for power. The plan was to not only increase the power output of the generator but also to create a backup fission-based generator should the fusion one goes down for any reason. However, despite knowing the plan, Alcor had yet to bring out any schematics for a smaller fission generator, which Ferno found slightly odd. And finally in the meditation area was a small wall that sat hidden with a switch holding 5 lead-based firearms and 10 energy-based blasters, five long range and five short range. Apparently Slug shots, as Alcor described them, moved too fast for most trained force sensitives, meaning that only the fastest could doge. They also had the bonus of making it impossible to reflect with lightsabers. The final door was more of a hatch and an extension of the Generator room, a crawlspace that has enough clearance to install two hyper drives, one primary and one secondary. Alcor had yet to reveal any schematics and quite frankly Ferno was starting to get ticked off but kept his temper in check.
The final floor and the one above the others held a large center training room, lined with stronger tungsten alloy walls. This was to prevent damage if a lightsaber went flying. Connected to the center room were four large empty rooms with two smaller rooms already built. One housed the Holocron vault with magnetic locks that need to be opened simultaneously with both keys and the force. The vault could hold up to 32 Holocrons at a time. The other small room held a manufacturing facility that created both bullets and blaster cartridges. Raw material was imported via a small elevator from the cargo hold and processed into ammo. Aside from what was already loaded into the firearms, ammo was also stored there.
One of the large empty rooms was claimed by Mei as her future workshop, but only a few things and tools had been moved in, the rest sat in the bunker unmoved because Mei had many unfinished projects. The three other rooms remain empty until allies with talents need said space. Of course, the walls curved where they met the ship exterior, but most of the ceiling was around 3.5 meters tall. Connecting the three floors was a small spiral staircase, and firepole for quick access. Aside from the aforementioned items that Alcor had yet to mention the ship was coming along nicely. Which is why Mei would prefer if Ferno paced around in the ship rather than the bunker when she needed to work.
Ferno gave the inventor a pointed stare as she gave one back. Judging by the bags under her eyes she likely spent a few all-nighters trying to design something and was showing it off. Alcor took another look at the holopad before turning his attention to his apprentice. "Apologies Mei, but it would seem that Lord Ferno needs some advice. Continue working on what I pointed out and I'll get back to you in a few minutes." Alcor dispersed his fog form and went up the ladder, Ferno following.
Once arriving at the clearing next to the ship, Alcor began walk the perimeter of the ship with Ferno catching up. "You wanted to ask me about One for All Correct?" Ferno nodded, picking up the conversation. "I want to use one for all as a trial of independence, but I still need advice." Alcor had never agreed with the old method of defeating or killing your master in order to become a master yourself, seeing it as inefficient and valuing strength over other traits. A trial of independence was Alcor's method of testing future apprentices on how to identify and problem solve without outside help. It's one of his many requirements to becomes a master following his own line, Alcorian Sith. Ten of these instances were to occur, 7 of which must be completely independent without advice from one's master. Of course, it wasn't the only thing required for mastership, but it was a genuine start. "Very well then, my knowledge of One for All is less than your to be honest, so, I can't really advice you on what to expect should you take it."
"Do you have any advice?" Alcor closed his eyes in thought. "Well taking One for All can and likely will affect your force signature. All Might is proof of force sensitivity retention, but we don't know if you're going to get stronger or weaker. There is also to consider the fact that All Might's ridiculous strength has to be a result of One for All. It likely means that you'll have to up your training regiment, and that could negatively affect your height. It why I don't really push you to exercise much harder than you already do. My personal recommendation, is that One For All can throw an unexpected wrench into your plans unless you're willing to compromise." Darth Ferno nodded, thinking for a moment. "One for All is a power that could easily rival Sith Lords or Jedi Masters, even if it isn't the force, passing up such an opportunity is not ideal. It also doesn't hurt that the force itself is pushing me to accept All Might's offer."
Alcor made a noise of acknowledgement. "Very well then, it is your choice after all." Alcor closed his eyes in thought for a moment. "Hmm, I sense that you have more questions, ones not related to quirks and more towards your training." Ferno bit the inside of his cheek, trying to find a way to put it eloquently without incurring his master wrath. Even through Alcor wasn't keen on physical punishment, he was more on mental. "Master, you've been slowing down on teaching me, why is that?" Alcor smiled.
"Well, I suppose, if I have to be honest, in my limited experience, you are talented, far more than other Sith that I have observed. Throw in you drive to exceed makes you the most diligent of students." Darth Ferno paused, of all the things he expected, that was not it. Praise was not something a Sith Lord gave out regularly, despite Alcor's habits. "I'm talented?" Alcor smirked. "You created your own lightsabers, with little direction from me, mastered the 5 lightsaber forms I am aware of, learned and mastered the Sith Sorcery and Alchemy I know of, integrated some of the nasty ticks I'm known for using in combat, and grew your own strength in the force beyond what I was expecting. Your determination, drive, talent, and power have made you the strongest on the planet baring reality warping quirks. Although, considering the irrational fear of humans I don't think any such quirk exist." Alcor began to talk to himself trying to analyze the power of potential quirks as Ferno tried to process his master's praise.
Darth Ferno's mind was made up. Later that night All might would receive a text message from his hopeful successor's phone.
Izuku looked around the trash filled beach and raised an eyebrow in contemplation. Was this the location All Might planned to train him in? If so, it was a dump. He looked towards an open dumpster that was nearby and had a thought cross his mind. 'I should probably clear a large enough space to train in.' Resigned to his fate he spent a good half hour cleaning a small circular spot that was surrounded by massive hills of garbage. The Sith, so engrossed in his work didn't even notice All Might show up.
"Ha Ha, Young Midoriya, I see you have already begun on your task, and I didn't even need to tell you what is was." Ferno jumped a little due to his concentration and turned to look at All Might. "Task? I thought this will be where I'll be trained. I figured that clearing an area would be ideal." 'Have I been letting my senses dull somehow?' All Might made a tone of acknowledgement. "Ah, I see, I suppose sending a proper text would have been ideal. Take off your shirt."
A few second pause passed before Izuku called out All Might, causing him to cough up blood. "Do I need to call the police? I will do it, regardless of your status." "HACK, NO, no, sorry for dropping that on you, your task is to clean this entire beach in ten months. I know that you have some skills when it comes to dodging and you have speed, I just need to understand how toned your body is. Just enough of an idea to create a plan." Izuku prodded All Might with the force and decided to ask the obvious elephant, despite already knowing what the answer will be. "Okay, so why am I going to be cleaning trash?"
All Might feeling the poking sensation once again, decided to ignore it, but promised to get to the bottom of it later. "Look at your body, even if you worked out a bit, it's not ready to inherit my quirk. It's the culmination of over 8 people, and I personally held the quirk for nearly 40 years. An unprepared body could experience dangerous negative effects. One's arms and legs could shoot off." Izuku, prepared, still flinched at the image. "So, this place is to train me to be able to hold One-I mean my quirk properly, correct? Alright, alright." Izuku took of his shirt and jazzed hands as All might took in his form. Izuku, was somewhat thin but had a few muscles along his arms and shoulders, and his pecs were somewhat pronounced. He didn't have a six pack or anything special like that, but he was very fit for a teen his age.
"You're more toned than I was first expecting. Why exactly do you wear such baggy clothes?" Izuku's face twisted in a grimace. "I'm already physically bullied for being Quirkless, what would happen if the other kids my age find out I'm far stronger than I let on." All Might felt like an idiot. "Right, dumb question. So anyway, my original estimation was going to be around 9 and a half months to 10 but it looks like you might be able to clear this area is only 9, maybe a week or two sooner. Let's have you start out small and pace you."
Over the course of the next few months, Izuku worked out his body and when he was resting, his mind. His power in the force didn't grow all too much, he was still impressively powerful. Now it was as if his body was finally catching up, he even grew about 5 cm's (2 Inches), not supper impressive but for somebody of his height he was glad.
By month three, he had cleared out a good third of the beach, shocking All Might. At first, he thought the future holder of OFA was burning out his body, but after watching Izuku for a few days, he didn't show any sings of exhaustion. All Might left it at that. But what he didn't know was Izuku, as a trained force sensitive, had a stronger body and mind than the average teenager.
By month five, about half the beach was cleared, and to celebrate, All Might, took Izuku out to an American style burger joint in Mustafa. Izuku, while not that big on the portions did enjoy the good tasting food. A small part of the Sith nagged at him that they could still have this. He pushed down the feeling as much as possible, focusing on the end goal. By the seventh month all but a few piles were left behind, and by month eight, the trash had been cleared spotless.
Darth Ferno stood at the top of the beach, proud of what he had accomplished. Not only had he cleared the place, but he did so in record time. His body was now far more physically capable than it once was, and future lightsaber strikes in Form V would have some decent power behind them. Even if he wouldn't have been offered OFA, he probably should have done this sooner.
"My boy…" Izuku turned to look at the hero form of the number one. "You have exceeded my every expectation. When I first approached you, I thought it would take more than nine months, now here you are not only meeting but going beyond. You are the living embodiment of UA's Motto." At this point All Might had plucked his hair, holding a strand in one hand. "A wise woman once told me, that luck and hard work are two quite different things. One is an accident while the other is self-determination."
Izuku smiled, a bit of genuine feeling peering through his shields. "Thank you All Might." "Now, EAT THIS!" All Might brought his hand forward. Izuku stared at the hand or rather the hair in said hand for a moment. "Excuse me, what the fuck?" He had a look of disgust on his face. All Might coughed in shock, a droplet of blood sliding down his grinning face. "L-Langue, Young Midoriya. In order to transfer One For All, you need to ingest some of my DNA. This is probably the best option for both of us." All Might shook his hand getting Izuku to take the hair. He nervously swallowed, before walking over to the water fountain, testing if it worked and then downing the hair, followed by copious amounts of water.
"Even with the water, that's disgusting, how much hair spray do you use?!" Izuku snapped at All Might, scarfing down the nastiest thing in his life yet. All Might simply chuckled. "Now, your quirk will take some time to work though your system, so come tomorrow we begin proper training. And word of warning, I'm brining one other with me, so don't be surprised. Now I'm off to go do some heroing." All Might jumped off to make use of his remaining time. 'I'm ninety-nine percent certain that is not a word.'
When Darth Ferno arrived home to rest, his Sith Master was waiting. "How'd the hair taste?" "Fuck off." Alcor only laughed as Izuku hit the bed, wanting to take a light nap.
It began with a yellow ghost. It was the first to appear in the barren landscape of Darth Ferno. It could not speak, but it could see, and it was worried.
"Now young Midoirya, I want you to hit me with everything you've got!" Izuku looked a little skeptical. "You sure?" "Positive! Besides, if either of us get's hurt, Recovery Girl here will patch us up." Said heroine look about two seconds from saying 'screw it' and walking out. All Might had to pull every favor he had to get her to come with him. And even then, it took a bit of persuasion from All Might and reassurance from Nedzu to get her to come to the beach. It was for a few hours in the morning for a few days, but All Might was glad to have it. "All right how do I do this?"
"Well, I'm certain you now feel different, like a new energy is coursing though you. I want you to take that energy, channel it, clench your buttcheeks and yell SMASH!" Izuku looked at the hero, before dropping his head into his hands. It was muffled but it sounded like Izuku had said, "How are you qualified as a mentor?" Recovery Girl looked just as dumbfounded. "I'm sorry, but I really don't know how to give you better advice than this giant dumbass of an oaf. Just…Just don't worry about it for now."
With nothing to lose, except maybe an arm, Izuku grabbed ahold of the powerful energy and shaped it into his more dominant arm. "SMASH!" And with his strength and power, he slammed against All Might who had been pushed back a few centimeters in the sand. "Good first blowwwww…Crap." Izuku felt a sort of numbness as he looked at the arm. It was swollen with bruises, and he might have cracked his bone. Pain caught up to him and Izuku dropped trying not to let a scream of pain out. He clenched his right shoulder as Recovery Girl approached. "Oh, dear…"
Suddenly Darth Ferno felt far more tired. He looked at the eldest of the three and saw that she had applied her quirk to him. "Ah, thank you Chiyo-sensei. I was afraid of that happening." The elder began to berate the blond as the Sith looked at the now healed arm. He moved it around for residual pain but found none. "I'm ready to go again." Chiyo shook her head calling for his attention. "From what I have managed to observe, you have two problems. The first of obvious, too much power behind the blow. The second not so much. I'll give you a hint, think of how All Might uses his quirk."
Izuku entered a thinking pose. 'How All Might does it? Well, I assume that he pushes it outward to transform his entire body and, wait, entire body? It couldn't be that simple, could it?' "I have an idea." Recovery girl smiled, as if reading his mind. Izuku pulled the smallest amount he could and applied it to his entire body, gradually upping it until he felt discomfort. "Young Midoriya, it would seem that you already have a great grasp on this. How much do you think you are using?" Izuku looked at his mentor green and black sparks flying off his body. "My body is heavy, but it's not painful? Maybe four percent?" All Might nodded, inviting Izuku to attack.
By the time UA's Admissions rolled around, Darth Ferno would be capable of a slightly uncomfortable ten percent, but that doesn't mean road bumps won't appear.
Seven individuals had arrived, each holding a unique feature about them. One had a mole by her mouth, another had a massive coat covering the lower part of his face. A tall one had a bald head and the one next to him had cracks in his face. The last two, who sat off to the side, both had spiky hair, one of them bearing a striking resemblance to Bakugou. They were waiting for the last one of them to show up in this barren world. "What's taking One so long, it been what I can only assume days."
Nana shook her head that the bluntness of Daigoro. "You forget, he literally one half of this quirk, of course it will take him awhile." The deceased bald hero grumbled to himself. "I'm a man of action not patience." The one wearing the comically large denim jacket laughed. "In case you haven't noticed, we're all dead. I don't think you have a choice in the matter, Daigoro."
He wanted to retort but the soul fragment of All Might turned and looked in a specific direction. The other took notice as he was the only one who could sense the other arrivals for some odd reason. Although, he looked tense. And unlike the others who arrived standing these two fell, yes two. One was who they expected, the other was not. They both had white hair.
Now I know I promised a longer-ish chapter, but I'm tired. I'm going to read over and submit this. Next chapter is the continuation of the adventure of the mindscape and Izuku taking UA's entry test. Write down your theories as to what's going on, I', excited if any of you can see though my hints.
