That was the word that defined Booth.
He barely spoke to the kids, luckily Parker and Joy had their own conversations.
Booth was tapping the steering wheel with his fingers.
He wanted to go after Bones, put on his shoulder and take her home.

He stopped at the pizzeria and took two pizzas and took the children to the apartment.
As soon as they arrived at the apartment the two ran to Parker's room.
He came in, said Hannah a good night, went into the bedroom, take a shower, changed clothes and then served the boys pizza and called the two of them to dinner in front of the TV.
—Joy, Parks dinner time! (He yelled at the kids.)

When the children went to the living room, she went to the kitchen.

—Where are you going Booth? (Joy asked) I want to be with you, not Barbie Baghdad! (She murmured and crossed her arms)

Temperance Brennan was not drunk.

They were both outside the bar, in the parking lot at the back. and Booth had lost the last thread of his patience.

—I want my friend back! (Temperance said irritably and shoved his shoulders in anger) We are friends, always have been and you are throwing everything out the window for Barbie Baghdad!
He laughed irritably and pinned her against the wall.
His arms were wrapped around her waist and one of his legs was between hers.
The sinful Dress had risen just above the thigh and she could feel his arousal against her.
Temperance sighed and looked at his mouth.
They were so close, Temperance felt his breath against her cheek, his lips hovering over her.

He sent everything to hell, thought no more and pressed his mouth against it and kissed it.
And it was like every other time.
As if fire spread through your veins and everything became hot, it was perfect and it was just them.
He lifted her legs and pressed her closer to the wall.
Her hands flew into his shirt and she lightly scratched his back as she whispered his name, while he distributed kisses on her neck.
And there was no more Hannah or the bar or the jealous shit.
They kissed frantically as if the world was going to end.
His hands were aimless, going under her dress, touching every silk skin hidden by the little dress.

—I go Bones, you don't deserve my attitude.(Booth said acknowledging)
—If you promise to be nice to me, I won't be going out with Becca anymore, at least not go hunting for some guy.
—This is good.(Booth said pleased.)
After some more time in silence, Booth asked something that was hammering in his head.

He tightened his grip on the steering wheel and swallowed hard while nodding.

Parker nodded and left the room.
—Do you want me to take you home? (He asked to check on his sleeping daughter)
—No need, let's go by taxi, I already called. (Temperance said and approached the daughter) Tomorrow we have our session with Sweets, don't forget.
—I'm not going.(He said and took off his jacket and handed it to her) Put it, this coat is not enough.

Booth went to Temperance and kissed Joy's head, which was leaning against her mother's neck.
—You you tomorrow Sweety.( He murmured to the sleeping girl.)
Joy murmured and hugged her mother.
Temperance nodded and then the three left and he closed the door.
He sat and closed his eyes for a few seconds, trying to assimilate everything that had happened in the past few hours.
The sentence she said crossed his mind.

Life sucked.
