Temperance was a woman who never dreamed of motherhood.
She never really thought about having a child.
Until some time ago.
When she wanted to have a Booth's Baby.
She started to get attached to the idea of having a little Booth, she thought about what traits of her or Booth her son would have.
Would he have his eyes or Booth's?
Would he be more affective or more analytical like her?
He would be stubborn as hell if he had the personalities of both parents.
But now here she was, on a sunny winter Saturday, in front of the merry-go-round looking at their daughter, who had been born in her heart.
Everything happens eventually.
The girl in the pink jacket and loose hair laughing as if there was no tomorrow for her brother.
Parker was on the back horse laughing also and saying things that made Joy squirm with laughter.
—They're good together.(Booth said and handed him his coffee) aren't they?
—They are. (Temperance said) Parker is a great big brother, Joy loves him very much.
—I hope it stays that way while they grow up.
She looked at Booth who was looking ahead holding his coffee.
They had no normal brothers.
Temperance and Russ were not the same as before the parents disappeared.
And Booth and Jared didn't have a good relationship.
They were not good brothers.
—They're not us.(She said as she watched him lock his jaw.) It's not Tempe and Russ or Seeley and Jared.
—They will be better. (Booth stated) because they have better parents.
—Never be abandoned or beaten. (Temperance pondered) We will be better parents.
—We already are. (He took her hand)
—Mom, Dad! Look no hands!(Joy shouted as she released one hand.)
—Wow you are very brave! (Booth shouted at daughter who just laughed as the merry-go-round went around)
They sipped their coffees in silence for a few minutes.
And then the merry-go-round kept going slowly, Temperance said.
—I want her to meet Max and Russ. (Temperance said and finally looked at him)
—That's a good thing Bones, she'll probably start wondering about our family members.(He said and took a sip of coffee and looked at her, waiting for more.)
—I want you to be with me ... I just want to ... for her.(Temperance said as she looked away and nervously stirred her coffee cup.)
—I see, I'll be there." (Booth said) make an appointment and I'll go with you, for you.
—Thanks. (She smiled after letting out a nervous breath) We should take her to meet Popps too.
—He's going to love her." (Booth said and laughed)
—Who doesn't love her? (Temperance said excitedly)
—It is very difficult not to.(Booth said)
They stared at each other for a few seconds, just looking at each other ..
One saw that understanding in the other's eye.
That you only get when you have many years of living together.
—Do you think Max will like her? That he will love her as she deserves?
—Bones, he'll look like a fool when he sees her and she'll become Grandpa's little girl in no time.
— I hope ... I hope he doesn't run away this time. (Temperance pondered) Doesn't she deserve it?
—He won't. (He said holding her hand) I know that.
Temperance smiled towards him.
Booth has always been good at defusing her fears.
That was Booth's special way.
Always calming all her fears and putting them in the back of her mind.
Oh, she loved Booth.
And if she insisted a little he would admit that he loved her back.

Hannah had set up a coffee with Cam.
Luckily, she had the morning off and the two of them went off to meet.
Cam really had nothing against Hannah, she thought the woman was smart and fun and in other circumstances she would say she was perfect for Booth.
But she knew that Booth only had space in her heart and mind for Temperance Brennan, the same he had revealed to her last year.
But they were both too stubborn to admit it.
Now here she was sitting in this cafe near her house, dying of curiosity as to why Hannah had called.
—Thanks for coming Cam. (Hannah said after they both greeted each other)
—No problem, I had the morning off and I love Coffee. (Cam said and smiled) Shall we ask?
Hannah nodded and the two placed their orders.
In the beginning they talked about their work, banal things.
And then after twenty minutes of conversation, Hannah spoke.
—You and Booth already had a relationship right?
—Yes. (Cam said and took a sip of coffee) But a long time ago.
—And since that time he and Temperance were like that?
—How? (Cam said, but already knowing the answer)
—So ... super protective.
—She was always there. (Cam said and smiled) Booth always put her in front of everyone ... they have a special connection.
—She was one of the reasons why you broke up? (Hannah asked anxiously)
Deep in her soul Camille Saroyan knew she should say that "yes, we finished because he didn't take his damned eyes off his Bones", but there was also that part that knew that Booth would kill her if she said that.
Lie was always a good option.
—We noticed that we are better as friends than as a couple. (She said looking at Hannah who blew out a breath)
And because he is in love with Temperance Brennan.
—He's not going to leave her, right?
—Never and if you make him choose ... I'm sorry to say that he will choose her. (Cam spoke sincerely) They are good friends, they know each other better than themselves.
—Do you have any advice? (Hannah asked)
—Don't get between him and Temperance, if you want to continue with Seel, you're going to have to share it with Temperance, it's like a package.
—Yeah. (She sighed) I figured that out ... And did he say anything to you about yesterday?
—No, but you must have told Temperance.(Cam said and shrugged)
—I doubt she'll tell me, but I think I know who can say it.
Cam shrugged and laughed lightly.
Booth was in bad shape by the looks of it.
After the session with the Booth family, Sweets was making some reports.
•••
And then a knock on the door caught his eye.
—You can come in. (He said)
Usually no one knocked on the door, so it was someone different.
And when he saw Hannah he frowned.
Something was going on.
—Hey Hannah, how are you? (Sweets said with a smile)
—Well ... I would like to ask what you and Booth were up to last night.
Red alert.
What should he do?
He didn't know what happened after he left the bar, but he was pretty sure that Booth probably went after Temperance at the bar.
Right.
Now he just had to give Hannah a good excuse and then go find out what happened at the bar.
Because they would have to tell him something, since he was lying for them.
Sweets to the rescue.
—Agent Booth came to help me yesterday at the bar, I had a fight with Dayse and he gave me some advice.
—Was that all? (Hannah asked suspiciously)Something happened yesterday with Seeley, I doubt that's all.
—Yes, just that.
Hannah looked at the man suspiciously, but seeing the young psychologist's calm face she was convinced.
He wouldn't lie, right?
—Okay, thanks for the information Dr.Sweets.
—Whenever you need it, do you need something more?
—No, thanks. (She smiled and left)
Sweets took a deep breath and smiled.
Those two were so silly.
He was dying to know what happened at the bar last night.

Joy and Parker were running on the playground near the carousel.
They were playing tag while being watched by their parents Who talked while sitting on a bench.
Joy was more than radiant that morning.
She had a family.
And that was all she could ever want.
She and Parker walked away from their parents a little while they ran.She ran away from Parker very quickly.
Running among the others and laughing.
Until she hit someone.
—I'm sorry!(She apologized quickly) I was playing with my brother and ...
When she looked up, she saw her executioner.
Lindsay Andersen.
She looked at the terrified woman for a second before reacting.
—Hello Jojo. (The woman said and hold the girl's arm.) I missed you Soo much.(She said in a falsely sweet voice)
Joy's heart was pounding in her ears.
—Dad! Mom!Parks! (Joy screamed loudly to get people's attention)
—Honey, it's not necessary.(Lindsay said as she put her hand on the face of the girl she disgusted away) I just came to see you, I missed you.
—I know how I miss me!(She murmured and pulled her arm away)
—Get off my sister!(Parker said and pushed the woman away)
—I'm her mother! (The woman said)And who are you?
—Her Brother!(Parker said and put Joy behind him to protect her)
—Joy? Parker? What's going on her?(Booth asked)
Temperance and Booth ran towards the children as soon as they heard Joy scream.
Temperance picked Joy up and pulled Parker against her while looking at the woman.
—You must be my Jojo's temporary family?"
—And you must be the abusive adoptive mother.(Booth said) Special Agent Seeley Booth, FBI. (He held up the badge) And Joy's father.
—Oh. (The woman said a little surprised) An FBI agent? You got along well, girl.
—And a forensic anthropologist, Dr. Temperance Brennan,Joy's mother. (Temperance said as she arranged Joy on her lap)
—Since we are performing, I am Lindsay Andersen.
—We know. (Booth said) You must not come near Joy, there is an active protective measure against you.
—I was notified, but I had to see my Jojo.
—I'm not yours! (Joy yelled and grabbed her mother) I want to leave now, Mommy Tempe.
Temperance and Booth exchanged a brief look and then she knew she should take the kids away.
—Come on. (Temperance said) I'm going to go with the kids to the car.
Booth nodded and she left with the kids, but before going with Temperance, Parker said.
—Don't touch my sister, ever again.(Parker said angrily to a woman.)
Booth and Temperance smiled at their son's protective manner.
She went out with the children.
Booth glared at the woman in front of him.
—The next time you get close to my family, you are going to be stuck together with your husband.
—I'm not going to go near her anymore, I just wanted to see if she was okay. (He said cynically)
—Much better than with you.(He said darkly) Better stay away of my family.
The woman nodded and saw the man walk away.
She wouldn't give up on that child so easily. Even more if she managed to release her husband because of her.
—An FBI agent and a successful writer, you are worth even more than before.
