Chapter 6

"NOT SO FAST!" Frye then suddenly jumped down from the ceiling. Like any normal person might do, you know. She had her mask on, but she had it in such a way that you could see her whole face. The whole thing, with her glorious forehead. "You look tough. But let's make a deal. You quit, join us, and we split the treasure!"

Cerrena was going to respond with the most enthusiastic YES! in the whole world, but Frye interrupted her.

"Oh, you want to do this Splatlands-style?" She smacked her hands together, like she was getting ready to get into a fist fight. "Cool. DANCE BATTLE!" She pulled out a flute thingy. "Eels, get out here!" Suddenly, she jumped up, higher than she should without super jumping. This weird yellow cube with a face came in, and she landed on top of it. Eels appeared, coming out of the eyes and mouth, but not all the way. They went back in, and Frye said "Let's go!" and the face cube turned onto a corner, and started spinning.

Frye said, "First dance, Eel Downpour!" Then, Cerrena saw things on the ground, little yellow circles that looked suspiciously like the Tenta Missile's circles. She ran away, out of the circles. The eels came shooting down, and they went down so hard they got stuck.

Cerrena couldn't resist some trash talk. "Haha, they got stuck! Your eels don't have many brains!" and started inking them, because it was fun that way. Some of them just poofed away, but others took a little more damage, and shot back to Frye. The face thing turned back onto its side, the way it was before Frye made it spin. It slowed down its spinning, and stopped. Cerrena inked the side, and swam up. When she got back to the top, Frye was just standing there, dizzy. "Sorry, Frye for splatting you, but not really." Cerrena said, and splatted Frye. Hey, at least Frye got a little bit of a warning. After splatting her, Cerrena super jumped off of the cube.

Frye respawned on top of the cube. She popped out of her ink and said, "Okay. Not too bad." More eels popped out of the cube somehow, and she said, "Time for you to fEEL the pain!" The eels went back in the cube, Frye played her flute, and made the cube turn on the corner again, and said, "Watch THIS!"

The cube started spinning, and Frye said, "Second dance, Moray Whirlpool!" The cube moved to the center of the stage, and just stayed there. How suspicious. The cube started spinning really fast, and eels came out, flying in circles around the cube. They slowly were coming further and further away from the cube.

"AAAHHHHH!" Cerrena screamed. She ran away from the things, but backwards. She didn't realize how far back she was going, and she fell off the edge.

"Squid nuggets." she muttered. She made herself look stupid in front of Frye! "Time for redemption!" She super jumped back to the arena, and Frye started her "Second Dance" again. THIS TIME Cerrena shot at the eels, instead of running away, She was smart this time. The eels shot back at Frye, and the cube flipped back onto its side again, and she inked the side and swam up. She splatted Frye again, and super jumped off the cube.

As she was in the air, Agent 2 said, "Oh, if you hit the eels with masks, they'll shoot at Frye!"

"THANKS, Captain Obvious." Cerrena responded. She had figured that out already. "Tips would be nice, if I didn't already know, Agent 2. How many times do I have to splat Frye? I don't want to splat her anymore." Again, she got no response, how nice of her fellow agents.

Frye was reallllll mad now. "What the frick? You can't treat my eels like shrimp!" Eels popped out of the cube again, more of them, and Frye did her flute thing, and the cube went on the corner again.

"Final Dance, Great Moray Transformation!" Frye's eels clamped together, almost looking like a turned over soda can. Suspicious.

"Wha-AAAH!" Cerrena screamed. The eels were flying AT HER FACE. This time she had a better decision, not to retreat, but to shoot. Fast. She hit a good chunk of them, but also got hit in the process. She dived into her ink to heal her armor faster, however that worked. But her, it worked. She got her armor back, and kept shooting at the eels. She hit enough eels back at Frye, the cube did the same thing as last time, and Cerrena went back up onto the cube. "Frye. Stop fighting me. I don't like splatting you." she said, and splatted her. She's so good at staying true to her word. She super jumped off of the cube once again, and Frye respawned.

Instead of fighting more, she just stood there. "Ugh, you're really strong. But you haven't seen the last of Deep cut!" She pulled out a weird ball thing. "Catch ya later!" She said, and put the ball thing down. The whole cube exploded, Frye flying off with her eels.

Cerrena sighed. "Finally, I didn't want to fight her anymore. ANYway, time to get Macro and Cuttle-huh?" There was a platform coming down with a thing on it, but it wasn't a person on it. It was a weird metal thing. "Uh…okay. Well, this is mine now, I guess." She grabbed it, and took it back to the camp.

When she got there, she confronted the Agents and the Captain. "WHY on EARTH are you not responding to my quEstions?" oof, voice crack. The Agents just stood there, confused.

"We can't hear you asking any questions. We can only see what you're doing. We didn't put a microphone in them, because we didn't know you would talk to us. The other agents were really quiet." Agent 1 said. So her headphones didn't come with a microphone? Great.

"Well, there was Agent 4…" Agent 2 muttered. "She was an adventure…"

"So, what were your questions?" Agent 1 asked.

"Well, one of them was already answered, but the other one was, do Octarians have genders?" Cerrena asked.

"Uh, I have no idea. All I know is that the female Octolings are the ones who fight you, not the male ones for some reason." Agent 2 said.

The Captain started signing again. There was something about the Captain that Cerrena didn't notice before. There was a little bit of green next to her eye, and her eye was a little bit greener than the other one.

Agent 2 translated what the Captain said. "Not in all cases." The Captain nodded.

"All right then. New question." Cerrena continued, but Agent 1 cut in.

"Yes."

"...Uh, my question wasn't a yes or no question, silly. Captain, what happened with your face?" Cerrena asked.

The other Agents just looked at each other. The Captain seemed to try to hide a little behind her hat, and Agent 2 said, "We'll tell you later. Just keep looking for Gramps and your friend."

Cerrena said "Fine…" and left. She knew that "we'll tell you later" actually meant "we're not going to tell you," so she continued on to the third site. They're ignoring me again. While talking to me. ARGH! She cleared all of the Fuzzy Ooze in the way, and continued through the pipe. She was still feeling a little salty from getting her question rejected, but this next site would make her forget.

When she arrived, there was ice EVERYWHERE. It also had a calm mood, and was beautiful. She just wanted to stand there and look at it, forever. "The agents should have put their camp HERE!" She said, and eventually kept walking. But still. The ice was cool.

Author's note: Hiiiiiiiiiiii Frye boss battle! I think this one went better than the DJ Octavio one, but yeah. Also, the question was like, half answered. Now, Cerrena has a new question that they wouldn't answer! And she still doesn't have a microphone in her headphones, yay! ALSO. BIG RUN STARTED TODAY! Or yesterday. whenever this is posted lol. I was pretty busy today, so I couldn't play it, BUT I WILL. THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR. Bye!
