Four weeks later...

After two weeks in the hospital,Joy was finally released.

She was very happy to be going home again and also get rid of arm cast.

The ride home was smooth, Booth made sure to take Joy and Bones home.

They spent long days flitting between cases and caring for their daughter, of course they had help from their friends, but they were very worried about their daughter.

Joy was anxious to get home,but as soon as she got out of Booth's car she hit the brakes.

—are you ok, Jolly?(Temperance asked as she saw her daughter stop suddenly)

—I...hmm...I'm nervous!

—Alright, this is something we already expected.(Booth said as he crouched down to his daughter's size.) But your mother and I put in a new alarm system and I personally checked the whole apartment, it's clean.

The girl bit her lip for a brief moment, then looked at her mother and then at Booth.

—All right, but can you carry me?

—Sure, baby bones..(He reached up and took her in his arms.) As long as you fit in my arms, I'll carry you.

—thank you daddy, i love you.(She murmured as she hugged him.)

Temperance smiled at the sight of the two of them.

It really felt good to see them together.

It was her family.

As soon as they entered the apartment,Joy felt a little better to see the changes made by her mother.

—You've changed the decoration.

—Swetts suggested it, she said you would feel better.(Temperance explained to her daughter)

—really, it's better.(She smiled at her mother.) Now, will you come with me to my room?

Temperance nodded and held her daughter's hand as they went to her room.

Meanwhile, Booth was setting up a surprise for Joy.

As the two entered the room, Joy noticed that her mother had changed it a little, just small details, like the position of the furniture and toys.

—If you want to change more we can.(Temperance said) I changed it a little, but I wanted to keep it the same to remind me of you.

Joy walked into the room and looked around, then turned to her mother.

—It's ok, I like my room and I don't remember bad things here.(She smiled as she put her hand on her mother's face.) I promise never to disappear again.

—It wasn't your fault, but I appreciate it.(She smiled) I love you Joy.

—I love you mommy.(Joy hugged Temperance tightly)

—Thank you for coming home.

—Thanks for waiting me.(Joy whispered back) I think I'd better go back to the living room.

-Let's see.

When they returned to the living room, it was full of people.

First Joy grabbed her mother, scared of the commotion, but as soon as she saw Parker she ran towards him and hugged her.

—Is this party for me?

—Of course, we're glad you're home. (Parker said and hugged his sister)

Joy laughed and then went to her grandfather and hugged him tightly, Max took the little girl in his arms and showered her with kisses and also gave her a present: a new stuffed monkey.

And then Joy went over to Angela and hugged her,as did Hoddings,who took the little girl on his lap so that she could talk to Angela.

She even gave Cam a big hug and said that she was dying to go back to the lab,Cam promised that he would wait for her with some special activity for her.

Joy nodded enthusiastically and hugged swrets who was standing next to her.

—I missed you too doctor.(Joy said as she was hugging his leg)I can't wait for us to play in your office.

Sweets laughed at the little girl and said that soon they would go to the office to play, that he had several new toys.

After a lot of playing, Joy went to her parents smiling, excited about the party.

—I loved this party!(Joy said excitedly, hugging her parents) I love being home and I love being with you guys, I love you so much.

—We love you too baby bones.(Booth said to the little girl)

Joy looked at him and gave a big smile,then she ran off to talk to Parker and Hoddings.

Joy loved the party,she played with everyone,talked and even danced with Max and Parker.

At the end of the night,after everyone left and only Joy,Parker,Booth and Brennan were left.

Joy asked her parents to let Parker sleep with her that night.

Booth gave in and Parker would spend the night there,but in the morning Booth would pick him up and take him to Rebecca.

Temperance helped Joy and Parker get ready for bed.

While Parker brushed his teeth, Temperance combed Joy's hair and braided it.

—It's to have beautiful hair!(Joy justified to Parker that I didn't understand why she would comb her hair to get ready for bed.)

Booth watched the three of them from the bathroom door, with a smile on his face, he knew that this was what he had always dreamed of: his family.

After the children were ready, Booth and Brennan put them both to bed.

Parker would sleep in the extra bed in Joy's room and Joy was comfortably in her bed with her new monkey under her arm.

After kissing her goodnight, Joy tugged on Booth's hand before he left.

—Nobody's going to get me out of here this time, right?

—No, this time you'll just get a good night's sleep.

—I wish you'd stay here.(She muttered) It would be safer.

—You are very safe now.(Booth said and kissed her forehead.) I love you, have sweet dreams.

-I love you too, Daddy.

Booth smiled at the little girl, who closed her eyes, turned to Parker, who was already asleep, kissed the boy on the forehead, and then left the room.

—Okay, two little monsters in bed.

Bones smiled and nodded and the two walked into the living room.

—It's so nice to know that she's safe and well.(Bones said and smiled at the man)Thank you.

—For what?

—For being by my side all this time and still being the best father in the world to Joy.

—It's my job, I'm her father, and I'll always be around and I'm your best friend, I'll always be here.

Temperance went to him and hugged him.

That hug, unlike the others, was a hug of relief.

Finally things were in place.

They would be all right.

And everything would be good again.
