After dinner Luna moved her things into Harry's room. She always slept there anyways and they were together now. People had been going home all afternoon and evening. The house was mostly empty now. Dora had taken a room for herself and one for Teddy in the family wing.
She wanted to be near her parents. Harry gave Xeno 2 elves, one to help him with his paper and one to cook and clean. Xeno went back home too after talking to Luna. Narcissa and Draco were given 3 elves and Grimauld Place.
They would move after the Gringotts curse breakers and cleaning crew were finished with the house. Hermione, Fred and George talked about fixing up the shop. George said they should rename it in case Hermione and Fred get married since as the main heiress to the Black family Fred would have to take the name 'Black'.
Hermione suggested 'Marauders, Mayhem and Mischief' aka MMM. She also said they should buy land in Hogsmeade and build a store instead of Diagon Alley as their target audience spends 9 months out of the year at school. She said they could advertise the name and location change as part of the post war revamping. They both agreed. The professors ha done back to Hogwarts to start the cleanup.
Augusta stayed at the Manor because she had noticed that Andromeda was taking really good care of her son and daughter in law. They were looking better than they had in years. She was actually hopeful that something could be found to help them. Neville, Susan and Dean decided to stay too. Seamus went to get his family. He had sent them to Spain for the war.
The Creevey brothers went to France to get their parents and little sister. Harry had given 2 elves to Andromeda and Ted, 2 to Dora, 1 to Susan, 1 to Luna, and 1 to each of the Weasley twins as well as 1 for their shop. The rest he had searching the country for magical orphans with orders to bring them to the manor. He planned to build a large orphanage for them all and get it staffed by witches and the house elves and make sure that it stayed well funded. Everyone went to bed.

The next day Ted and Arthur organized for everyone that showed up to the ministry to be questioned with truth serum. Anyone that thought Voldemort had the right idea went into a cell. Everyone else was sent home to await a floo call from Ted or Arthur to come in to work. They got information from each department about what it did, who and how many people worked there, how much each worker got paid and the qualifications of each worker.
They went through and decided that almost half the departments were redundant. They had the elves move things to combine department that had similar jobs and then they went through the employee list, anyone dead was crossed off, anyone in a cell was crossed off, anyone that didn't hold the necessary qualifications was crossed off.
They were left with a handful of people for the entire ministry. Ted went through the OWL, NEWT, and mastery files and created a long list and a short list of people qualified for each department. He would be contacting the short list first.
The pay was also going to be streamlined. By the end of the day they were ready for the Wizengamot meeting the following day. Ted had sent out notices to 60 of the adults that had trained and fought against Riddle. They would be going to the Wizengamot meeting as well.

The next day all the residents of Potter Manor, all the Weasley's, all the people who were invited and the few Wizengamot that was left arrived for the Wizengamot meeting. Ted had prepared Harry for the speech he needed to make.
Percy had been asked to act as scribe for the meeting due to his experience, he had of course accepted. Once everyone was settled Harry stood up. "The day before yesterday I, along with a large group of fighters, finished off Voldemort and his death eaters.
We had spent months training and taking out his evil group. As the one who has freed us from his tyranny, I hereby disband the Wizengamot for their cowardly actions and create a new Wizengamot built from the list of families I have here." Harry said.
The Wizengamot members were up in arms shouting about how he had no right to do that. Harry let off a cannon blast charm. "Actually, I do. Over 600 men and women helped me defeat the monster that you let take over. You let him disband you and become a dictator. I can call on all those fighters and they would come and help me arrest you for aiding and abetting Voldemort.
You let one monster destroy our government. I am simply fixing your mistakes. With the help of the unspeakables I currently control the wards and therefore the ministry. Once you have stepped down and the new Wizengamot members have stepped up, you will be given the chance to explain your lack of actions under the effects of Veritaserum.
Should we agree with your explanations, we may grant you a seat on the new Wizengamot. There will be big changes however and starting today no one will be allowed to hold proxies for others, proxies will have to be appointed to someone not already sitting on the Wizengamot.
This is your one chance to explain. please step down." Harry said. They all stepped down and he called all the men and women on the list to take their new seats. Luna walked to each one and had them recite an oath that they would not do anything against the government or the laws enacted and that they would always be fair and unbiased while doing their jobs.
Once they were seated Harry stood up. "I move that we get rid of all laws that are biased and prejudiced against sentient magicals and any laws that favor one group over another!" Harry called.
The vote was unanimous and most of the parchments and books disappeared from the law table. "I nominate Hermione Persephone Potter-Black as the new minister and Arthur Weasley as the new vice minister." Harry called.
No one else was nominated. It was a unanimous vote. "I nominate Augusta Longbottom as chief witch" Harry called. No one else was nominated and it was another unanimous vote.
Once all 3 had given their oaths for their positions Harry sat down and Hermione took over. I hereby appoint Nymphadora Lupin as director of the DMLE, Narcissa Black as the director of the department for international relations, Lee Jordan as the director for the department of transportation, Percy Weasley as the director of the General administration department, and Luna Lovegood as the director of the department of ambassadors to national sentient magicals races." Hermione said.
They all swore their oaths for their office. Augusta stood up. "Now, we will have your explanations, if your willing. form a line and each of you will be given Veritaserum by Director Lupin and a chance to explain." Augusta said, then sat down.
All the explanations were along the same lines, they were too old to fight, their children had died or been killed and their grandchildren were all under 15 years old. They were all given a chance to take the oath and get their seat back within the Wizengamot. Hermione called for Ted to hand out the lists of the ministry departments and the new hiring regulations.
She also had him explain that he had a list of people that had been contacted and asked to come in and apply for specific departments so as to get the Ministry up and running faster. Ted showed them the new ministry budget and departmental budget as well as the new pay policies and hiring practices. Once the meeting ended the Wizengamot member went home and the new ministry employees got to work.
It took 7 weeks, but the ministry was up and running at close to full staff. The Auror Department had 250 Aurors, they were all people that had fought Voldemort. They had built a new prison in the middle of the Welsh dragon reserve and after moving all the prisoners out, they chased all the dementors back to Azkaban.
The Aurors then grouped around the outside of Azkaban and cast fiendfyre at it. The building and all the dementors were destroyed. There was a new treaty with the Goblins that was fair to both sides and they were able to pick their own ambassador to place in the department of national ambassadors to sentient magicals races.
The treaty stated that their ambassador had to be a goblin. The Centaurs were given a similar treaty. Werewolves were now classes as humans with a disease.They would be allowed to go to Hogwarts, get jobs based on their qualifications, and get masteries like other witches and wizards.
St. Mungo's would be given funding to provide wolfsbane potion to all werewolves every month as well as research a cure to Lycanthropy. Andromeda had finally cured Alice and Frank Longbottom, they were given a clean bill of health and we're allowed to leave. Having Neville close by help aid their recovery. Once they were able to leave they thanked Andromeda, Harry, and Hermione then all 4 Longbottoms went home.

Hogwarts had been rebuilt and fully staffed. There were 2 teachers per subject, one for years 1-4 and one for years 5-7, and there were now a lot more subjects on offer. There were 2 heads of each house, one man and one woman.
The heads of house didn't have any other positions. McGonagall decided she wanted to go back to just being a teacher, Flitwick took over as Headmaster and someone with administration experience was brought in as the new Deputy Headmistress.
The house point system has been removed as well. The school was ready to open September 1st and Both the Headmasters and Deputy Headmistress were making home visits to all those who now could enter the school.
They already had 2000 students signed up with many more visits to go. Harry had gotten the basilisk corpse harvested and donated the entirety to the school for upgrades and new classes as well as teachers. Half the amount went into the scholarship fund.

St. Mungo's was deemed to be unfit as a hospital so the ministry built a new hospital on the outer edge of Hogsmeade and had gotten all new equipment and set up a huge new potions lab in the basement. It was 4 times larger than the original and They were working on getting fully staffed, it would take a few years though as healers needed to have a mastery.

3 years later. Harry and Luna were married a week after finishing their NEWTs and Luna was pregnant with twins. Hermione and Fred got married a month after finishing their NEWTs and Hermione was pregnant with their first baby within a few months. There were many weddings happening all over wizarding Britain.
George had married Angelina Johnson and she was pregnant with her 2nd set of twins (the first set had been boys). Neville married Hannah Abbott and she was pregnant with their 2nd baby. Dean married Alicia Spinnet and the had a baby on the way. Seamus had married Katie Bell and they had 2 kids.
Ginny had married Colin Creevey and was pregnant with her 2nd set of twins (Her first set had been girls). Ron had married Lavender Brown and she was pregnant with her first baby.
Percy married Penelope Clearwater and they had 1 year old twins. Dora had fallen in love with and married one of the new healers at St. Mungo's. Draco married Parvati Patil and they had a set of 1 year old twins boys and one on the way.
There were even more baby announcements. Luna and Harry decided to have at least 8 kids, Hermione and Fred decided to do the same. Ginny and Colin agreed to have 7-10 kids as well. The magical world of Britain was on it's way to a better future.
