It felt like forever to Amber, waiting for that door to open. She took a step back to admire the circular things on the wall while she waited. She realized those symbols were different from the letter, but regardless of that; she knew she was in the right place.

Noises came from the doorway and the door creaked open to reveal a red-headed woman.

"Hello?" the woman asked.

Amber stepped forward and handed her the letter, "Hi, I was sent this."

The other woman took the letter and examined it. She looked back up at Amber with a little smile.

"We don't usually send letters like these, but you're more than welcome to come in. I'll take you to Jenkins."

Amber thanked her and followed her into the dark hallway.

"I'm Cassandra Cillian by the way."

Amber turned to her, "I'm Amber Wright."

"It's nice to meet you. Come on, I'll lead the way." Cassandra replied.

As Amber followed the other woman, she began to think about who Jenkins was. She wasn't even sure who Cassandra was in terms of the Library. Pretty soon lights began to be seen and Amber followed Cassandra into hallways lit by small chandelier lights. Glass windows and doors were passed by them until they stopped at a set of double doors. Cassandra pushed them open to reveal a large room. Amber looked around with amazement.

There was a large door on the right of her as she came in and a large rectangular table smack dab in the middle of the room filled with books and papers. Further in, there was a semi-spiraled stairs that led to the second floor. Books in shelves took up both floors.

"Wow," Amber breathed out. "This is amazing."

"It's beautiful," Cassandra agreed. "This is the annex."

Amber turned to her, "This isn't the Library?"

Cassandra shook her head. "The Library is detached from here in another location. But this place is more than enough."

"I see."

Amber walked alongside the table, her fingers grazing the edge of it. She heard footsteps coming down the stairs but didn't turn, too fascinated with the items on the table.

"Cassandra, I see we have a guest here?"

Cassandra nodded and went to stand by Amber. "Jenkins, this is Amber. She has a letter sent by the Library."

Amber turned just as he spoke, "A Letter?"

Once she laid eyes on Jenkins, her face paled.

Her knees buckled out from under her as shock rammed into her body from the sight of the white haired man. Hands caught her arms as she went down.

She whispered as blackness teased the edges of her vision, "Gally?"
