A/N: I am so sorry that I disappeared for awhile, I had a lot of personal things going on and just could not find the motivation to write. But, even though I wasn't posting I was still reading the other amazing stories that people were writing. I also read all of your reviews and your kind words made me want to come back and finish this. I didn't want to publish anything and have you all disappointed if I didn't finish it so I want to let you know that the rest of the story is drafted. Thank you all again for reading this story!
It didn't take long for the gossip to spread about the engagement, so the families decided on a putting out a press release to end the speculation. The finished product was simple,
Christopher Hayden is pleased to announce the engagement of his daughter Lorelai 'Rory' Leigh Gilmore-Hayden to Logan Elias Huntzberger. The Gilmore, Hayden and Huntzberger families are overjoyed with this announcement and cannot wait to celebrate this union. Rory and Logan first met at Yale and after years as friends decided to rekindle their relationship. The couple welcomed their first child, Richard Huntzberger, this past June. Wedding details will not be released, and the couple thank you for allowing them their privacy during this special time.
Mitchum had arranged for a photographer to come to the house, and they were able to get some shots to accompany the release. The one most used showed the couple standing in the study, shelves of books behind them. Logan was dressed casually in tan-colored pants and a baby blue button-down shirt and Rory was dressed in a simple, yet elegant, baby blue dress that matched his shirt and clung to her enviable post baby figure. He was holding her close, and her hand was resting on his chest, showcasing the stunning ring. The couple were staring into each other's eyes with such love and tenderness.
Odette sat on the porch of her Paris apartment and looked out at the city. After her statement regarding Logan and Rory, her family welcomed her back and invitations to events slowly started trickling back in, so she moved back to Paris. It was hard to see some of the looks that she still received since many knew about her history and some made it seem like she was the problem in relationships. While she could admit that all the issues in her relationship with Logan were caused by her and Shira, but the other relationship, the one that tainted her… well she couldn't think of a single thing that she had done wrong there. She knew from the beginning that she should have never entered that agreement with Logan, but he was handsome and rich, and she wanted to show her ex that she could move on just as well as him. There was never chemistry with Logan, and it was obvious that he barely tolerated her at the beginning and by the end he loathed her. Shira had promised her wealth and a higher social status, and she fell for it all and in the process destroyed her humanity. She still didn't know what possessed her to try and hide Logan's child from him or sending lawyers after Rory. Those actions were a low for her, one that she never thought she would be able to recover from. Hearing someone approach from behind her she turned to see her father walking towards her with an indecipherable look on his face.
"Is everything okay papa?" she asked as she studied him, taking in the firm set of his face and his tense shoulders.
"Oh Odette," he sighed as he sat across from her. "I wanted to make sure you heard the news," he paused as he placed a newspaper on the table and when she glanced down, she saw a photo and her breath hitched. "Logan got engaged. There had been some rumors, but the announcement was just printed.
She studied the photo for a long while and her father sat in silence watching her. There was such happiness between the two of them and the smiles were completely genuine. Her hand rested on his chest showcasing what appeared to be a stunning ring. This photo was similar to others she had seen of the two, the love was evident in their eyes. "They are stunning together," she stated softly as she looked up at her father. "I expected this to have already happened. I honestly thought they would be married already."
"Are you okay?" her father asked.
She just let out a sigh and leaned back into the chair and closed her eyes for a moment. "I just wish I could find what the two of them have," she finally replied. "I'm not upset they are engaged. I should have never agreed to that arrangement knowing that he was in love with her," she paused as she glanced back at the photo. "I should have never tried to interfere with what they share. I should have known I could never win."
"You can still find that kind of love," he insisted.
"Maybe," she replied wistfully, "but after the things I have done." She let out a resigned sigh and met her fathers' eyes before turning her head to look at the city. "We will have to see what the future holds." The duo sat in silence for a long while before her father stood and left her on the porch lost in her own thoughts. How she wished she could find something like what Logan and Rory shared even though she knew that was close to impossible. The love they shared, the looks in their eyes when they were together, it was true love, a love that was almost impossible to find in social circles. She didn't hope to find what they had; she could only hope to find something that made her content. With those thoughts she looked one more time at the picture of the smiling couple and knew she needed to make changes in her life if she ever hoped to find some semblance of happiness.
Jess Mariano sat at his desk at Truncheon and tried to read the book that he was editing. The guys had noticed his surly mood and tried to talk to him. None of them remembered Rory or that they had met her at that long ago open house. The only things they knew about her was from his drunken ramblings and his musings about what could have been. None of them could understand why he couldn't get over her, why he was still interested in her, after all it had been years since they had dated. The day he saw the birth announcement he got drunk and stayed that way for three days until they finally broke into his apartment. They sobered him up and since then they had been watching him carefully. Knowing this and with Mitchum's warning continuously in his head, he had made sure the books looked good and had tried to clean up his act. It seemed to be working some, but he still wondered what his life could be like with Rory next to him. With a frustrated sigh he opened the paper and his breath hitched when he saw the photo and slowly, he read the accompanying words, she was engaged. Rory was engaged to that asshole. How did Logan Huntzberger deserve to have everything he had ever wanted? The playboy not only had Rory, but he also had a son with her and now she was wearing his ring. Frustrated he picked up his coffee mug and threw it against the wall and watched as the pieces flew and liquid trickled down the wall. All his dreams were like that mug, shattered. A part of him always knew that Rory would never choose him but the larger part of him always hoped she would. He sat there and contemplated the things in his life and tried to figure out what he should do now that the love of his life was moving further from his grasp. There was an internal war going on within him and he tried to decide what to do. His immediate impulse was to drive to Hartford, try to reason with her yet again but before he could act on that impulse, he remembered her words from their last encounter about how she didn't want him. He didn't believe her then, he didn't want to believe her now, but he reluctantly picked up the paper and studied the photo trying to find some sign that she wasn't happy, something to show him that she was still the girl from all those years ago but looking at the photo he had to admit that he wasn't sure what he saw. With a deep sigh he ripped the page into shreds and placed his head on the desk trying to figure out what he should do.
Lorelai Gilmore looked around the small bed and breakfast with a wistful smile. She was able to purchase the place that she and Rory had stayed at all those years ago on their impromptu road trip and was hopeful that this would be a new start for her. The money she had received from selling the Inn's and her house had been poured into fixing this place up. While it still looked like a construction zone, she hoped that she would find success here, that it would be her new start. The town was small, not too far from Harvard, so she could only hope that tourism was good. It reminded her slightly of Stars Hollow but without the full cast of eccentrics that she had known for so long. Walking over to the counter she picked up her coffee and flipped open the paper only to quickly put her coffee back down. There staring back at her was a picture of Rory and that boy and she had to sink to the ground. They were getting married… there, accompanied by the announcement, was a black and white was a picture of the couple smiling, with Rory's hand, displaying a ring that probably cost more than what she spent on the inn, resting on Logan's chest. She had seen a few photos of the couple, and they all made her nauseous but this one more so. This photo showed a Rory that she didn't know, a Rory that was becoming a part of society and turning her back on everything they had created together. Lowering the paper, she looked around the inn again. She had to admit to herself that she bought this place because of the memories with Rory. She had hoped her daughter would visit one day and remember the time they spent there; how much better things were back then but now she seriously doubted that would ever happen. Rory had decided to fully be a part of society and was leaving Lorelai far behind in her past. Before the tears could fall, she heard what sounded like the construction crew, so she quickly stood, dusted herself off and plastered on a smile to greet them. She would have to think more about that announcement later.
For the couple themselves, they were enjoying their bubble of happiness. After discussing things with Emily, it was decided that their small wedding would be held at her Nantucket home with only close family and friends in attendance and a larger reception would be held in Hartford to officially introduce the couple to society. Rory threw herself into planning the event with both Emily's and Francine's assistance. Neither Rory nor Logan wanted a long engagement. It had taken them far too long to reach this point and they didn't want to wait any longer to become husband and wife. To keep everything a secret for as long as possible, reception plans were being booked as a HPG gala to introduce Logan's more active role in the day-to-day operations and announce his role as Vice President of the company in which he would be working more closely with Mitchum on everything to better prepare for him to take over within the next few years.
Logan loved watching Rory plan their wedding and he helped as much as she allowed him to. Whenever Odette had tried to talk to him about plans, he begged off but with Rory… well he wanted their day to be perfect and gladly offered his opinions. They talked flowers and menu and even had a cake tasting. After Sookie's confrontation with Lorelai, she had come to the Manor and apologized to Rory, upset that she hadn't seen what was happening sooner. When she found out the two were engaged, she immediately called and offered her services to cater the entire event. There were some other chefs that she worked with that would keep everything quiet so Logan and Rory had gone to the farm and tried way too much food and cakes before deciding on a menu that would please everyone. Emily also spent a lot of time in Hartford as they went over the details, and she had Ms. Celine come to the house with dresses for Rory and her bridal party to try on. Logan abandoned the house that day and when he returned, he found an exhausted but happy fiancée. He loved seeing Rory this relaxed and fully embracing her role in Hartford society as both a Gilmore and Hayden and a future Huntzberger. After much discussion with the families, Rory agreed to become an active member of the DAR again and she and Logan agreed to start attending more events to represent the families after they were married. He had never expected to see her willingly embrace the world, but he was glad she was. It seemed that the life he had always imagined was becoming reality and he was thankful for each day.
The time between the engagement and wedding seemed to fly by, and in actuality it wasn't that long at all. The couple made it to Nantucket, and they were immediately in awe of what Emily had managed to accomplish. The house was stunning, and she had even created a nursery for Richard that was attached to the room she had decorated for the couple. They enjoyed a few days before the craziness would be full swing. There were dinners with just Emily, and she shared with them stories about her courtship with Richard. It seemed that Rory asking her to write stories down had been cathartic and the elder Gilmore handed the couple the book Rory had originally given her filled with stories. In the mornings Emily would wake early and take care of Richard to allow the couple time to sleep in, or to do what couples do. She would tell the little boy stories of his great-grandfather and his mother and just enjoy the time to bond with her little great-grandson. For Emily, this is what she always wanted, to be accepted, to be allowed to be a part of the family. While she was still sad that she had missed so much of Rory's life she loved being so included and welcomed now. The night before all the guests were to arrive, Logan and Rory surprised Emily with a homecooked meal of lobster and all the sides. They also gifted her with an album of pictures of Richard's life so far and it had plenty of pages left for her to fill. Rory also surprised her with a bracelet that was made of pearls, opal, and amethyst, Richard, Rory and Logan's birthstones. To say that Emily was touched by the gifts did not even begin to describe how Emily felt.
Soon the rest of the wedding party arrived along with their guests and a local hotel not far from Emily's home had been rented out. The group all enjoyed relaxing together and they were thrilled for their friends that were finally where they should have always been. For the rehearsal dinner everyone had been invited to Emily's for a clam bake and the group all reminisced and told stories about Rory and Logan and Yale, and they even shared some of what they had done after the couple had met again in Hamburg. It was a relaxed and fun evening, but everyone was excited for what would happen the following evening. Per Emily and Francine's decree Logan was shipped off to the hotel to spend the night with the boys and Lane, Gigi, Honor, Paris, Emily and Francine spent the night with Rory.
On a beautiful fall day, a little over a year after Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Rory and Logan married in an intimate wedding in Nantucket. The ceremony was held overlooking the water and the weather was perfect. Lane was the matron of honor and Gigi, Paris and Honor were the bridesmaids and they were dressed in a simple pale blue dress that matched the sky. The men, Finn as best man and Colin, Robert and Josh as the groomsman, wore bowties and cummerbunds that matched the dresses and Logan's was a slightly darker blue.
Logan had been anxious all day as he could not wait to finally say I do to the only woman that he had ever loved. For him this day had been over 13 years in the making and he knew that this day would be one of the best ones of his life. Colin, Finn and Robert had teased him all morning and Logan eventually threatened to kick them out of the wedding party which promptly shut the boys up.
Rory spent the morning in a daze as she waited for the time to come for her to say "I do" to the man that had stolen her heart and had never given it back. She had often thought about her wedding to Logan over the years but had always quickly pushed the thoughts aside but today she enjoyed every moment. The woman in her life surprised her with her something old, in the form of a stunning diamond necklace that had been worn by the past 10 Hayden brides (minus Lorelai and Sherry), her something borrowed was from Honor and was a simple diamond bracelet that had been in the Huntzberger family for generations, and the something new was from Emily and was a pair of earrings that matched the necklace. Rory surprised Emily with a handmade handkerchief, it was made from one of Richards old ones and trimmed in one of his bowties and she had made one for herself to carry a part of him with her. Soon everyone had their hair and make-up done and were ready for the big event. Rory, needing a moment alone, stood at an upstairs window and looked below at the simple, yet elegant, set-up Emily had created. The chairs were arranged to overlook the cliff and there was a simple white arbor set up that was draped in white gauze and a variety of flowers and what she saw far exceeded her wildest dreams. The guest list was small, about 40 people including the bridal party. In addition to their families and close friends, Logan had invited a few people that he had grown close to in London (that Rory had also met) and Rory invited Lucy and Oliva from college since they had also kept in contact over the years. For Stars Hollow… Rory wasn't sure who to invite so stuck with Lane's family, Luke, and Sookie's family. As she prepared for this day, she felt nervous but now all she felt was peace. Emily stood at the doorway and studied her granddaughter and thought about how stunning the woman was and she was glad that she was able to give Rory this.
"Are you ready?" Emily asked and slightly startled Rory turned to face the woman.
"I am," Rory replied, and a large smile appeared on her face. "I cannot wait to get down there."
"Well, that's good," Chris chuckled as he walked up behind Emily. "The planner just let me know that we are ready for you."
Rory quickly walked over to the two and embraced them, a moment that was caught by one of the many photographers that were hired for the event.
"I love you both," Rory whispered trying to hold back her tears, "so much. I don't know where I would be right now without you."
"You'll never have to worry about finding that out," Chris answered as he pulled back slightly to study the young woman in front of him and for a moment, he remembered the first time he saw her. "You're all grown up now."
"But never too old to need you dad," she answered as she looked at him and then turned to face Emily, "or you grandma."
Francine watched the moment and wished that she had not been so blind all those years ago and let out of wistful sigh before the baby she carried in her arms let out a gurgle of laughter. "Richard wanted to see his mom one last time before she walked down the aisle," she stated as she walked over to them.
Rory quickly took Richard from her and placed a soft kiss on his cheek. "I think he is just as excited for this as I am," she giggled, and her son looked adoringly at her. She carried him with her as she walked down the stairs and then handed him to Emily for her to take with her to find their seats.
As soon as the elder women walked away, Rory was quickly embraced by her wedding party, and they exchanged one last hug and some laughter before they started walking down the aisle. When they were alone Chris looked at his daughter and gently squeezed her arm. "You ready kiddo?" he asked.
Rory looked at him before smiling and replying, "just don't let me fall."
"Never," he chuckled and then led her down the aisle to meet her groom.
She wore a long A-line dress with a sweetheart neckline that hugged her top before it fell in soft waves from her waist. There was delicate embroidery and beadwork done in a floral pattern all over the creation and when Logan saw her coming towards him, he lost his breath. Her hair had been styled to be pulled slightly away from her face and the tendrils danced in the soft breeze. There was a small veil covering her face, but he didn't need to see her eyes right now or he knew he would be lost in them. Studying her, he watched as she confidently walked down the aisle on her father's arm. She was stunning and he thought she looked like an angel, and he was in awe that she was finally going to become his. When they reached him, no one asked who was giving this woman away, Chris just helped pull her veil back and placed a kiss on her cheek before handing Logan her hand. "I know you two will be so happy," he stated, and Logan just nodded his head unable to form words as he looked into Rory's blue eyes.
As Rory stood beside him, their hands linked, neither of them heard a word of the service until the preacher said something about exchanging vows.
Logan cleared his throat and squeezed Rory's hands before he started to speak. "You didn't have the best first impression of me, or even second," he paused when a few of the guests and wedding party chuckled and he smirked. "But I was determined to get to know you better. When you came to me for that article, I finally had an in, but you didn't seem interested, and I just couldn't grasp that," he paused when everyone started chuckling and Rory rolled her eyes at him. "The more time we spent together, the more I learned about you, it just made me want to discover whatever I could about you, but it confused and scared me. Once we started dating, I knew that nothing would ever be the same for me again. We haven't had the easiest road getting here," he paused to squeeze her hands, "but I would not trade a single detour or bump in the road because it led us to here, to now, where I pledge to you in front of our families and friends that I will love you always. I will be your rock and your fiercest supporter. I will be here, by your side, as we walk through the rest of our lives together. I promise to never let you go and vow to be the best husband and father I can be. I love you Lorelai Leigh Gilmore-Hayden, Rory, my Ace, and I promise that my love for you and our son will only grow each day."
Tears flowed down Rory's face as he spoke, and he gently lifted their hands to brush them away. With one shuddering breath she looked at him and started to speak. "I didn't think you remembered me after we first met, and our second meeting turned into a debate, but it seemed that I was destined to keep running into you and after each encounter I was left confused by how I felt. After the event, after we jumped off the scaffold together, I knew that my life would never be the same again, but you were a playboy," she paused when snickers echoed through the group and she let out her own small giggle, "and I was afraid to admit how I felt. I danced around my feelings for way to long until I finally got the courage to do something completely unlike me and kiss you. From that moment I knew that I was in deep, but I had to know you better. We have been through so much both together and apart, but I know that all those things have just made us stronger and able to face whatever comes our way. I have loved you for most of life and that love just grows each day. I promise to stop running from us, I promise to talk to you and let you be my rock. I vow to be with you, by your side from this day forward. I will support you, love you and grow with you each day as we learn to be parents and also husband and wife. Logan, my Master and Commander, I vow to love you more each day."
There was not a dry eye in the audience when Rory finished, and sniffles were heard from not only the women. The preacher continued the service and when he stated, 'you may now kiss the bride,' Logan wasted no time and pulled her close to him and placed a soft yet passionate kiss on her lips. "I love you wife," he murmured when they broke apart.
"I love you husband," she answered and with a smile they started to walk down the aisle only to pause to kiss Emily on her cheek and take Richard to complete the walk with them.
The couple and wedding party quickly took photos and then there were others with the families, then some with just the couple and the couple with Richard. When photos were done, they walked to where Emily had white tents set up and Rory gasped as she took in the cake. On each layer of the cake there were designs from the couple's life. Sookie had coordinated with everyone that was invited and asked them to provide her with one symbol that would mean something to the couple so there was a champagne bottle and glasses, a black umbrella, a YDN front page, a rocket, the London eye, Hamburg Town Hall and so many other items.
"Sookie," Rory gasped as she studied the cake. "I can't eat this cake," when she noticed the chefs crestfallen face she quickly continued, "this is gorgeous, it would be a shame to cut into it!"
"I have never seen anything like this," Logan added as he noticed a picture of Dan the bulldog and let out a chuckle. "This is amazing."
"Well, it tastes better than it looks!" Sookie exclaimed clapping her hands. "I hope you enjoy everything."
"I am sure we will," Rory stated as she embraced the woman. "Thank you so much for this. It means so much to me."
"Anything for you," Sookie whispered back and then she shooed the couple off to take their seats so food could be served. She had gone all out on the menu and while pictures were being taken, appetizers that included salmon puffs and mac and cheese balls were passed around and some trays had been taken over to where the pictures were being taken so everyone could enjoy the food. Now it was time for the main meal, and it consisted of a garden salad with a lemon vinaigrette, followed by a filet and lobster tail served with mashed potatoes and garlic green beans and for dessert a table had been set up that included mini pies in every flavor imaginable, cookies and brownies and of course there was a coffee and tea station set up for guests to enjoy. And Sookie wasn't wrong about the cake and how delicious it was. There was a layer of a rich coffee fudge, a strawberry shortcake layer, and a black forest layer. After the meal was done the couple walked around to greet all their guests. The wedding was a success with the less formal atmosphere and delicious food. Rory knew that if Sookie wanted to get back into catering that she would never be short of clients. The chef blushed at the compliments but was happy and the comments made her think about cooking again.
Chris Hayden delicately tapped his glass as the plates were cleared away and when everyone turned to face him, he cleared his throat and looked at the couple. "Hello everyone, I think you all already know that I am the beautiful bride's father, Chris Hayden. My first impression of Logan wasn't the best, though I will admit that… my memory is a little fuzzy on that encounter. But the next time I met him was right after he and Rory moved in together. I was apprehensive, my little girl was growing up, but when I saw them together, I knew that what they had was special. I watched them grow together, love each other and was sad when their story took a pause. Over the following years I never saw that light come back to Rory's eyes until one day she had come back from a trip to Hamburg. While she never admitted it, I had a feeling it was due to Logan. The couple have had their ups and downs but one thing that I have always known is that for Rory, Logan is her one true love. And because of this, I have to warn you Logan, you better take care of her and my grandson," he paused when chuckles echoed across the room and then her focused on Rory and gave her a tender smile. "Rory, I know I was never there much for you growing up, but I am so glad you didn't hold that against me and gave me chance after chance to be a real father to you. I love you kiddo and am so proud of you," he paused and took a deep breath, "and I am so lucky to see the life you are building with Logan and Richard. To the happy couple!" He raised his glass and took a sip.
Rory quickly stood and embraced her father, "I love you dad," she murmured, and he placed a soft kiss on her forehead.
More speeches followed from Colin, Finn, Lane and Paris. Through them all it was obvious that love they had for the couple. Colin and Finn spoke about the way they knew Rory was different from the way he acted after their debate in the hallway. During the LDB event, Logan watched her continuously and when they landed from the jump Colin knew that their friend was falling but didn't expect him to take so long to make a move. Then they spoke about the prank in Mr. Bell's classroom and Rory's revenge which caused everyone around them to laugh and Rory bittersweetly remembered her grandfather. Paris spoke about how Rory would look for Logan in the newsroom and would seem disappointed when he wasn't there. She talked about how different Rory was with him and how he brought her out of her shell. There were some heartwarming moments but then she ended her speech with a reminder to remember their previous conversation if he ever thought about hurting Rory again. Lane's speech was much needed after Paris's and she spoke of the way the two met during kindergarten and had been best friends ever since. She spoke of the way she knew Logan was different from the first time Rory spoke about him. There were lighthearted moments, but Lane avoided any mention of Lorelai as she spoke about their lifelong friendship.
The wedding and reception went off without an issue and both Logan and Rory could feel the love and happiness from those around them. They danced their first dance to Moon River and when it was time to cut the cake, they gently fed each other bites. As the evening progressed Logan could tell Rory was exhausted, so they said their good-byes, leaving Richard with Emily, Francine and Chris, and headed to a small cottage that had been rented for them for the night. Logan had put a lot of thought into the evening and had arranged for a bottle of champagne to be chilled, snacks placed in the fridge and counter, rose petals were spread beside the bed and candles lit up the bedroom in a romantic glow.
"This is… amazing," Rory whispered as she took in the room.
He stood behind her and gently wrapped his arms around her waist. "I wanted it to be romantic," he answered, and she turned in his arms, so they were facing one another.
"Its perfect," she told him with a bright smile appearing on her lips and she gently caressed his face.
"I am so happy we are here," he stated and placed a soft kiss on her lips. "I love you, Rory Huntzberger. I have loved you for so many years and I am so thankful you have given me a family and I will spend the rest of our lives showing you how much I love you." Not giving her a chance to respond he bent down and captured her lips in a soft but passionate kiss that soon grew more heated. His hands trailed over her back and slowly started sliding down her zipper and she shivered at his touch. Soon the dress pooled at her feet, and she stood before him in a lacy white lingerie set and he could only groan. "God, Ace," he murmured huskily, and his eyes devoured her body. Even after all these years she was stunning and the way her body had changed since having Richard just excited him even more. He quickly gathered her in his arms before placing a passionate kiss on her lips that she quickly returned, and the sounds of her moans fueled him further. Her hands moved to start unbuttoning his shirt and he briefly let go of her to get out of his clothes. Soon he had her laid down on the bed and he slowly moved his hands and mouth over her as he removed her bra and underwear.
"Logan, please," she panted as his teeth playfully bit down on her nipple.
"Patience," he murmured as he sucked on it and flicked his tongue over the puckered flesh before continuing. "This is our wedding night and I want to make it memorable." Slowly he moved to her other breast and continued with the teasing. Her whimpers and moans fueled him on. For him this night had been years in the making and he wanted to savor every second, memorize every sound, and spend hours worshiping her like he had dreamed of during their years apart. While they had sex, a lot of amazing sex, during Vegas, he never fully opened up his heart to her. Even after they reconciled and Richard was born, their intimate moments, except for the proposal, had been slightly rushed, first due to her being pregnant and not having the stamina for long sessions of love making and then after the son was born, they knew there were on borrowed time before he woke up and needed them. But tonight, they were alone with no possible interruptions, and he was going to take advantage of it. When her hips bucked toward him, and she tried to press her core against him for some sort of relief he moved from her breasts and started to kiss down her body. He knew what she wanted, he wanted it to, but he waited and started sucking on her hip bones, leaving small love bites before he finally gave in and softly licked her, moaning at her taste. "Your so wet," he murmured as he licked her again. He continued to softly lick and suck and when she moaned out a desperate, please he finally gave in and harshly sucked on her clit causing her to let out a strangled gasp and arch up. Moving one hand to her hip to keep her down he went to work circling her clit with his tongue before moving to her opening and pushing his tongue inside of her. Her gasps got louder and when he knew she was close he moved his other hand to her clit, rubbing her the way he knew she needed and when she exploded, he licked every drop of her release and didn't stop until he brought her to a second orgasm. Feeling her clench against him, his dick throbbed in need, and he couldn't wait another second before moving up her body and kissing her, thrusting his tongue in her mouth and allowed her to taste herself. Using one hand, he rubbed his member over her drenched opening before gently pushing inside only to pull back out, teasing them both. When she let out a whimper, he pushed inside of her causing them both to moan at the feeling. He started slow, but when she wrapped her legs around his waist allowing him in deeper, he started to lose control and when she clenched around him his control snapped and he started thrusting faster, harder until they were both a panting mess. "Look at me," he managed to groan out and when her lust filled eyes met his he sped up his pace and they both reached their climaxes, eyes locked. Without pulling out he moved to the side rolling her with him.
"Wow," Rory managed to hoarsely whisper after a few moments. Sex with Logan was always amazing but that… that was undesirable. During 'Vegas' he always seemed to be holding back but this was more intimate feeling that it had been in years. It had taken them years to get to this point, heartbreak and unspoken words, but they were finally on the same page. The wedding just a few short hours ago was proof of that.
"Definitely wow," he agreed and placed a soft kiss on her lips. "I love you Ace. I love you more each day. I am so happy where we are now."
"I am to," she answered, and a few tears sprang to her eyes. "I think we are finally where we were always meant to be." With a final, gentle kiss, she laid her head on his chest and they both drifted off to sleep lost in the hopes of their future.
The couple spent one more day at the cottage and enjoyed the peace after the whirlwind of putting the wedding together. They talked about having more children and agreed that they wanted to wait at least another year before they started trying for another. While they didn't fully express their thoughts they were on the same page, Logan wanted to be there for every moment and Rory wanted that for him as well. They both knew that the next pregnancy would be a joyous occasion and they wanted to experience that together from the moment she suspected and together they would take the test. He was looking forward to the doctors' appointments, the cravings and watching her body change before his eyes, he wanted to experience every moment. They also talked about the upcoming wedding reception that would take place in a few weeks. In addition to planning the wedding, Rory, Francine, Emily and Honor had been planning that event as well. While HPG did have an event planner that assisted with the major parties, this event was also a wedding reception everyone wanted everything perfect, so the women took the lead. There was also the logistics of keeping the real reason for the event secret. Rory was pleased with the way the gala was shaping up and was gently reminded by both Emily and Francine that the gala and announcement would set the tone for all future HPG events with Logan taking the helm and Rory by his side.
After their additional day in the cottage the couple headed back to Emily's where they picked up Richard and headed to Martha's Vineyard. The house held memories for the couple, but they were surprised when they walked in. As a wedding present, Mitchum gifted them the house and Honor had completely redecorated it to fit the family. They enjoyed four days there taking walks on the beach, cuddling in front of the fireplace and spending time together as a family of three. By the end of the mini vacation the couple were well rested, and they could not wait to return and create more memories in this house.
