"Law What the hell are you doing here?"

"We were passing by and saw Jinbe." Law shrugged. He leaned against the wall, hands shoved in his pockets, as he stared Usopp down. "He asked for our help, and we weren't doing anything."

"How very unlike you." Usopp raised his eyebrows, his expression dubious. "What do you actually want?"

Law gave a disparaging laugh under his breath. "You can spend the last five minutes before the Buster Call questioning me, or we can get out of here. Everyone else is already back on the ship."

"Everyone?"

"Everyone except you and Black Leg-ya, and he's approaching the dock now." Law motioned with his chin towards the window. Usopp narrowed his eyes at Law before walking over to the window and peering outside. Sure enough, Sanji was leaving the building and entering the dock with Ikkaku and Penguin.

"Chopper and Franky?" Usopp asked as he went to study his device attached to the vault lock. It had found three of the five numbers they needed. "Hurry up, you stupid thing," Usopp grumbled, a frustrated scowl on his face.

"Are on board." Usopp nodded and opened his mouth again, but Law cut him off. "Your father and his crew as well." Law looked him over, eyes narrowing as he hummed in thought.

Usopp growled and turned to glare at Law, "What?"

"I will admit to being surprised when I found out that man was your father. You are nothing like him."

Usopp scoffed, turning back to the vault. The mechanism beeped, and the vault popped open. "Oh?"

"He doesn't come off as much of a coward."

Usopp gritted his teeth, refusing to take the bait, and instead walked into the vault. He paused, scanning the vault for Zoro's swords. He found them lying haphazardly against the far wall, and he winced, happy that Zoro wasn't there to see how the marines had treated his precious weapons.

He knelt and carefully picked them up, standing and hugging them to his chest. Usopp walked over to Law and handed them over, careful to ensure that Law didn't directly touch Sandai Kitetsu. He wasn't sure how the curse worked, but he didn't want to risk Law falling under it. "Don't touch that one directly," Usopp said, turning away from the sword.

Usopp looked around, pursing his lips as he thought through the descriptions given by Limejuice. He quickly located the weapons, which had been thrown carelessly into the vault. The last item he grabbed was his father's rifle, which, when he checked it, had the pivot safety in the firing position. He clicked his tongue and switched the safety back before slinging it over his shoulder. "I've gotten everything."

Two minutes until the Buster Call. I repeat. Two Minutes until the Buster Call.

"We don't make it out the regular way," Usopp said as he looked down the corridor. His eyes caught sight of the large window to the right, "Hope you can jump it, Old Man." Usopp laughed as he reached over to grab his device and stuff it into his bag.

"Jump what? Those windows don't—"

*Crash*

Law blinked as the window's glass cracked in a radial pattern before exploding outward.

Usopp looked down at Sanji's irritated scream, watching as he quickly brushed the glass from his blond hair. "Sorry, Sanji!" Usopp called, placing the rifle back on his shoulder.

"Just get on the submarine, Shithead!"

Usopp climbed onto the window ledge, kicking the broken glass from under his boots. He looked over at Law, an eyebrow raised. "Are you coming?"

"Just go!" Law growled, practically shoving the sniper out of the window, before jumping down behind him.

Buster Call in T-minus Sixty Seconds. I repeat, Buster Call in T-minus 60 seconds.

Usopp stumbled when he landed, his ankle twinging in protest. Law caught hold of his arm and pulled him upright. Usopp nodded his thanks, following Law through the docks to the submarine. They made it there just as the first bomb blasted through the second floor of the fortress, shaking the foundation and causing waves that fought to engulf the submarine.

"Get on the ship. We need to get underwater now."

Usopp jumped down the hatch, with Law handing down the weapons and closing it tightly behind him as a large wave was about to overcome them. "Bepo, Hakugan, set sail. Everyone has arrived." Law said through the walkie-talkie they kept by the hatch.

"USOPP!" Luffy jumped at Usopp, causing him to drop the weapons on the floor.

"Luffy, be careful!" He scolded. Despite that, he allowed Luffy to pull him into a hug.

"Get out of my way," Law grumbled, moving past them and into the Navigation Room, where Bepo and several other crew members attempted to navigate their way out of Impel Down.

Luffy pulled on Usopp's wrist. "Take Zoro's and leave the rest. Come on!" Luffy grabbed two of Zoro's swords, and Usopp grabbed Wado, following Luffy deeper into the submarine.

As they turned the corner, Chopper jumped into his arms, almost causing him to drop Wado. "Usopp!"

"Oi! Give me that before you drop it!" Zoro took Wado from Usopp and secured it to his waist before taking the other two from Luffy.

"Don't bully Usopp, Zoro!" Luffy snapped.

"Yeah, don't bully Usopp, Zoro!" Chopper cried over Usopp's shoulder.

"Yeah, Zoro, don't bully me," Usopp said teasingly, sticking out his tongue at the swordsman. He looked over Chopper's hat to where Limejuice was sitting with his crew in the galley. "The rest of the weapons are by the hatch. I think I got everything."

Limejuice held up his drink in thanks.

Ikkaku walked into the galley, wiping grease from her hands with a dirty rag. "Usopp! The man of the hour."

"Let's never speak of it again," Usopp said, gritting his teeth through a forced a smile. He bent down to put Chopper down and wiped his hands on his pants.

Ikkaku's eyebrows knitted together, but she took the cue to change the conversation. "We were able to get Franky up and running."

"Oh?" Usopp grinned and asked, "How is he doing?"

Ikkaku laughed a bit, "He's not 100% himself, but he can get around until we make him new parts. They had to attach his arm to his leg so he could walk out of Impel Down."

Usopp raised his eyebrows and said, "I did not know that."

"And he's still missing many of his internal parts, so he's pretty much put together with tape and zip ties."

"How on earth is he functioning?"

Ikkaku snickered, "It sounds worse than it is. The main internal computer he has hooked up to his spinal cord remains untouched; it doesn't look like they could figure out how to disconnect it. He is missing bits and pieces here and there, but it'll be easier to deal with than if they had messed with his mainframe."

Usopp nodded his head in understanding, "I think we have some metal back at the Sunny that we can use, and if I remember correctly, he has a bunch of stuff in his workspace. We should be able to cobble something together until he can do what he needs to."

"Would you like to see him? You guys can discuss it. He's been bored out of his mind."

Usopp paused mid-sentence, his nose scrunched up, "Does he... have a face?"

"His metal one. We were lucky to put him together as much as we have."

Usopp shook his head vigorously, holding his hands between himself and Ikkaku. "No, no, thank you."

"You broke into Impel Down but refuse to see your crewmate because he is missing his face?" Law asked in amusement as he turned the corner. "We've left Impel Down and are on our way to the Thousand Sunny." We should be there in about 30 minutes." He announced it to the room, which was met with cheers.

"Some things are just too scary," Usopp said with a shake of his head. "I am having a real 'can't-go-into-that-room-itis'."

Law rolled his eyes and shoved Usopp in front of him, pulling him out of the galley. "Don't be stupid."

"Be careful with him!"

"Law, no means no."

"Not on my ship," Law said, opening the door to the Medical Bay and throwing Usopp inside before slamming it shut. "Stop being a coward."

"Usopp! You came to visit me."

Usopp groaned and pressed himself against the door, sliding against it. He kept his eyes on the ceiling. "H-How are you, Franky?"

"Why don't you come closer?"

"NO! I-I mean, no. Thank you. I am good here. Yep. Very comfortable." Usopp laughed nervously, patting the door.

"You did well today, Usopp," Franky said it sincerely.

Usopp breathed heavily through his nose, "I wish everyone would stop bringing it up." He admitted, moving to the wall and sliding down it. He rested his forearms on his knees and leaned his head back, eyes closed.

Franky made a confused sound and said, "We only left 10 minutes ago."

"I know, it's just…." Usopp shook his head. "Nevermind. It just brought up some bad memories I wish had stayed hidden."

"You can tell me anything, Usopp," Franky said softly.

"Your face freaks me out," Usopp said bluntly, hoping to change the subject.

"Usopp…

"Well, it does!" Usopp said defensively.

"Usopp!" Franky said firmly.

"Fine! You want to hear that when I was eight years old, I was sleeping at my mother's grave, and a huge storm came during the middle of the night, causing her body to come out of the shallow grave they had her in!" Usopp yelled, jumping up to his feet. "Or when I woke up, her decomposing hand was on my head, and maggots and worms were crawling on my body and in my hair!?" Usopp rubbed at his arms, leaving long red lines down them where his fingers were scratching. "Or do you want to hear that having to wear the clothes of an inmate that was decomposing and had rats all over him brought those memories back tenfold? Is that what you wanted to hear, Franky!?"

There was a knock, and the door to the Medical Bay opened, revealing Sanji and Zoro. "Hey, Shitheads, we are back at the Sunny."

Usopp gave a shuddering gasp before flying past him and Zoro. They could hear his sobs through the corridor as he raced through the corridor and up the ladder to the hatch before he disappeared outside, likely onto the Sunny leaving everyone to look after him with gaping mouths.

"This isn't good."

AN: It was going to be Bartolomeo, because I had a dream about him following Usopp around Impel Down just hero-worshiping him, and Usopp getting so annoyed he kicks him out the first floor window, but couldn't get the logistics to work in terms of the ship. Law's ship easily fell into place there as it's a submarine . maybe next time
