So, last chapter we saw Regina in a pretty compromising position. She was about to be run over by a car. Now we see whether or not she gets hit by it.
Thank you RiveraJ88 and DBZFAN45 for commenting!
I hope you enjoy the next chapter!
The images that flashed into Regina's mind as the car came rushing towards her were not of her own life, but of the last time she had seen a life taken this way.
Images of seeing blood, and feeling shards of glass. Seeing headlights come their way and then shatter.
When the car finally collided with her, after what felt like forever, she hit the ground hard.
She felt light-headed as she lay on the street. The rest of the area was empty, so there was no one to stop the perpetrator from speeding off in their car.
Regina put her hand to her throbbing head, when she pulled her hand back she found blood, and her vision swayed.
She had been in a car crash before, as the only survivor.
Would she survive this time?
"I'll walk you out," Billy offered. He had been studying with Trini, before she had claimed she had to go.
"You know what would have been really impressive, mate? Walking her home." A voice spoke frombehind him.
"Were you spying on us?" Billy asked, his eyes widening in embarrassment. Having just had his first kiss, it was very troubling to know someone had been watching.
Avalon took a bite of her apple, waving it at him. "Relax, Smurf, I just needed to get something to eat. If I was spying I would have been a lot more careful for you to not notice I was there." She then smirked at him, dropping her left hand into her lap. "I never knew that you were that innocent though, really proves that you haven't had a girlfriend before. I bet you don't even know what the rainbow game is."
"No," Billy said, honestly. "What's that?"
Avalon slapped her hands over her face. "Why am I friends with you?" Her voice was muffled behind her hands. Billy laughed at her mocking tone of voice. He reached out and poked the top of her hand. She smacked his hand away. He did a few more times with the same reaction.
"I've been speculating the same thing." Billy turned and sat down on the stairs next to her. He leaned forward, resting his arms on his upraised knees. "Why are you friends with me?"
Avalon looked startled for a moment then her face cleared. She turned to Billy with a soft smile. "Because you were the first person that wasn't afraid of me." She then bobbed her head back and forth, pretending to think. "And because I'm able to get as much help on my homework as I can."
"So I'm only good for you for homework?" Billy asked.
"Pretty much, yeah," Avalon replied. She took another bite of her apple then smiled slyly. "And being able to watch you and Trini." Billy made a noise of protest but he was talking to thin air as Avalon had disappeared back up the stairs.
He heard the phone ring, and before he reached it, he noticed Bailey walk in. He grabbed the phone and answered.
"Hello? Cranston house," Billy answered. Bailey was walking towards him to see who it was before she heard the loud, screaming voice.
"Who is this?! Where's my brother, that ass!" He only vaguely recognized it, as it had a small familiar sound to his cousin's.
He motioned for Bailey to get his dad, which she ran off to do.
"Aunt Marlene?" He questioned.
"Ugh, you must know where she is!" He heard his Aunt growl.
"Where who is?" He wondered, though he had an idea.
"My bitchy daughter! She hasn't come home yet and if she doesn't she's gonna deal with the punishments!" Marlene screamed. Billy froze, worried for his cousin for two reasons. For where she could be, and for what her mother would do to her.
Regina had woken up only minutes later, but not wanting to go home, and feeling the pain subside, she walked off into the woods.
She was still shaken up from the encounter. Her breathing had begun to falter, as she thought of her father. When her father had died from a car crash they had both been in.
He was teaching her to drive, it was late at night, and she had been scared to go on a big road with lots of people. So they had taken a smaller road, she had been doing really good. They had been having fun. She and her father, Richard, had been talking and laughing, and enjoying their time together. Because, as much as they had a good relationship, only having each other, they also rarely saw each other as he always had work. Nevertheless, he always managed to spend time with both her, and her ex-stepmother, Charlotte.
That day had been so good, until another car came barreling towards them. It was obvious the driver had no idea what they had been doing. Then when they collided, Richard had done his best to shield Regina, ultimately getting himself killed, while she had sustained many injuries.
Her neck and wrist had each been fractured, while her leg was broken and she had, had a mild concussion. Luckily, Charlotte had been there for her. She had paid for hospital bills and medical procedures, while also taking care of Regina and Richard's will. Regina had a large sum of money in her name, as had Charlotte. But, courts decided that since she was still underage, she had to go back to the care of a blood relative, meaning, her mother.
She hadn't seen Charlotte since, or her half-brother. The one that Charlotte had been pregnant with at the time. Later on, after the crash, she had found what had happened with the other car.
There had been two passengers in the other one as well. A man and a woman. Husband and Wife. Their names were Isabella and Adrian Corbett. The husband and wife duo had been drugged at a fancy party they went to, and had driven home anyway.
They had two sons, who Regina had kept contact with as they had both lost family. The two boys had visited Regina in the hospital to, for some reason, apoligize for her father, to which she had responded by saying sorry for their parents.
The entire experience was awful, too many innocent lives taken. As Regina attempted to breath, she started crying, thinking of the past. She was throwing rocks in anger, in sadness. When she went to grab another one, she didn't feel the rough, dusty exterior of a rock. She felt something, cold and coppery.
She picked it up, wipe some tears away in order to see it. Then she gasped. It was bright, shiny gold coin, with a detailed carving of a dinosaur.
Considering she never really paid attention in science, she had no idea which dinosaur, but she could always find out later. For now, she was just mesmerized by the coin.
She had no idea what it could do, or what she was about to be able to do.
A/N:
WOW! A WHOLE NOTHER CHAPTER!
I hope this was a good chapter, I kinda sped through it, really inspired and excited for this one.
If you couldn't already tell, REGINA DIDN"T DIE!
I didn't feel like writing a hospital scene again. So look at that, she's just wandering the woods with a head injury, cause that's better.
Instead of killing her off, I gave you a peek at her past, and maybe some hints of where she was going next. As well as gifting her my present of a power coin.
Uh oh, looks like Billy's getting a little worried about how Regina's been living.
How're you liking it so far.
Fun tidbit: I was really annoyed while writing this as a few minutes ago, a 7th grader kinda just snatched my cereal! The audacity of her who just turned to me and said: "Yeah, I know it was your cereal." Ugh, people.

I do not own Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the original team such as, Jason, Trini, Kimberly, Tommy, Zach and Billy, and other canon characters belong to SABAN. The basic plot, Avalon and Bailey Mitchell, and other OOC moments belong to the writer AvalonBay, who I thank profusely for allowing me to write this! The only things I own are Regina, her family, and the changes I make to fit her in.
This story is a fanfiction based on the fanfiction series written by AvalonBay. Starts near the end of All To Blame, Chapter 34: No Stings Attached.
I had to skip Chapter 33: Revelations, as that was purely a Ranger only episode!
Peace out! '-'
