Ethan hanged out with Kris for the most part. He can tell that what Silver said still hurt her, so he stayed with her for the most part. This really bothered Silver. He was just being honest, but that is wrong. Sometimes he catches Ethan looking over his way with a wanting look. In the area around the dorms, he was alone one day giving that look. Silver walked over to him and stopped him.
"What? You want to say something to me?" Silver asked.
Ethan glared at him for a bit before he shook his head. "You need to apologize to Kris. Till then, I got nothing to say to you."
"What? What did I do?"
"Ignoring her and being so rude. Would you like me to do that to you?"
Silver crossed his arms with a frown as Ethan left.
At lunch, Silver sat down across from Kris and Ethan. They stopped talking and starred at him.
Silver looked to the side then said, "sorry..."
Kris and Ethan looked at each other for a bit before looking back at him.
"Are you apologizing to me?" Kris asked.
"...Yes."
Kris smiled a bit. "Well then, apology accepted! So, maybe we can be friends now?"
Silver huffed a bit and looked to the side. "Guess I see nothing wrong with just being friends."
"Great! There's so much I would like to tell you..."
Silver sighed as she shut out Kris after awhile. She talked about old times and how she came to respect Silver, which he really didn't care to hear at the moment.
"... So, is there anything you like about me?" Kris asked.
Silver looked at his food with a frown. "... You're nice, I guess."
Kris frowned a bit as she realized that what she thought was true. "You never really..." She looked down at the table. "Liked me at all, huh."
Silver sat silent and didn't look at them with a blank look.
"You probably only apologized... because Ethan asked you to." Kris then slowly got up then left.
Ethan started to get up too, but Silver stopped him by grabbing his wrist.
"I apologized! And I tried being nice! So can't you talk to me now?" Silver asked.
Ethan looked at him with narrowed eyes and a frown. "I need to see if she's okay..."
Ethan took back his arm and ran after her.
Kris was outside leaning on a tree. She told Ethan that she needed to be alone for awhile, and after awhile he left. Kris looked up at the clouds, as she remembered the days she looked toward the sky as she traveled. No matter how stressful or difficult the journey was, when she looked up at the sky, it calmed her and give her new courage. Then she heard someone clear their thought and saw Blue there.
"Hey, what's a pretty girl like yourself doing here by your lonesome?" Blue asked.
Kris blushed a bit at the pretty comment. "Just like to be by myself sometimes..."
Blue slowly walked up to her. "I see. I liked to be by myself too. When I'm upset."
Kris gave him a confused look. "Upset?"
Blue nodded. "Yeah. It's always nice to look up at the sky." But then Blue frowned. "But sadly, it really can't do anything to fix someones problems."
"True..."
Blue looked over at her with a grin. "Anyways, it's been awhile since I saw you. I came up here to see if you'd be interested in a battle?"
She smiled a bit. "Well as a trainer, I can't refuse a battle. Alright! Let me go get my pokemon."
After Kris won the battle, Blue smirked at her.
"I'm impressed! You still got it!" Blue said.
She giggled. "Of course! I've been training hard too, ya know!"
Blue slowly walked over to her with a grin. "And how you execute you're moves, it's no wonder you're a hard challenger to beat."
She laughed nervously. "Well, you're pretty good yourself."
"With how strong and kind you are, it's no wonder you have a boyfriend already."
"What? I don't have a boyfriend..."
Blue gave him a confused look. "But what about that black haired guy that's always around ya?"
She thought a bit. "Oh, Ethan? He's just a friend of mine."
Blue smiled at her. "I see... Well maybe we can hangout sometime? Like tomorrow? Going to the movies?"
Kris looked at the ground with a forming frown and narrowed eyes. She thought about Silver. He hates her, and she wondered once Blue gets to know her more if he would her too. While Silver seemed to always hate her, he also got to know each other more by running into each other often.
"It could be possible that once Blue gets to know me, that he'd find me obnoxious as well..." Kris thought. She looked up at him with a fake smile. "Sorry, but... I just haven't been feeling well," she said.
"Oh well..."
Kris turned around and walked away.
"Hey! Wait! What about next week?"
Days passed and Ethan tried to help Kris get over Silver. Slowly but surely, she was starting to be able to focus on other things, but she still looks at him with a sad, longing look on her face when she saw him. The next weekend, Silver walked over to Ethan after Kris turned in for the night.
"So can I at least ask you a question?" Silver asked.
"...Alright," Ethan said.
Silver crossed his arms and looked away from him with a frown. "Just... how do you feel about me?"
Ethan gave him a confused look and said, "huh?"
Silver glared at him. "Like... Do you hate me, or don't care for me, just think I'm okay."
Ethan looked a way a bit.
"Or... do you really... like me?"
"We should... get to bed."
Ethan started to leave, but then Silver gabbed his wrist.
"I just want to know! You seem like you want to talk to me... but you always push me away!" Silver said.
Ethan turned and faced him a bit. "Would it really matter to you what I say?"
Silver crossed his arms and said, "well... I don't see how it wouldn't matter."
Ethan walked back towards him and looked in his eyes. "So... you care about me and my feelings?"
Silver got red and faced away from him a bit. He wasn't really sure what to say. He didn't expect that he himself was going to get questioned. Then he faced him and nodded. They both stood there silent for awhile.
Then Ethan finally spoke. "Sorry... I've only been avoiding you for Kris."
"What? Why?"
"She has been seeming... a little down lately. And I'm sure it's because of you."
Silver crossed his arms with a huff. "I tried being nice to her!"
"I... don't think that's the problem."
Silver glared at him. "So what did I do?"
"N-nothing. It's just... she's still trying to over the rejection, I think."
"So why can't you just hangout with me?"
"Because Sil, I do care about her you know."
Silver looked away from him. "So... you care more about her than me?"
"That's not it. I just want to help her get though this..."
"So you have to push me away when I didn't do anything wrong? What about my feelings?" Silver shouted. Then Silver turned away with a tear sliding down his face.
"Silver..." Ethan whispered. He then slowly walked over to him. Then he wrapped his arms his arms around Silver and rested his head up against him. "I'm sorry... I had no idea how much I've hurt you..."
Silver sniffled a bit as he whipped his eyes and muttered, "idiot."
Ethan clinched on Silvers shirt. "If you want, I'll find some time I can hangout with with you..."
Silver huffed a bit. "And if that upsets your friend?"
"I'll talk to her then... I'm sure she'll be okay with it."
"Better be..."
"Anyways..." Ethan walked in front of Silver and took Silver's hands with his. "About your question earlier... about how I feel you." Ethan wrapped his arms around Silver's neck while on his toes. "I like you more than any of my other friends..."
Silver's eyes went wide. "...Really?"
"Really... I do."
Silver wrapped his arms around Ethan, and smiled a bit.
Ethan pushed back a bit and looked into Silver's eyes. "So, I'm guessing... that you really like me as well?"
Silver looked away a bit with a blush, but then looked back at him with a nod. "Y-yeah... I do."
They looked into each others eyes for awhile.
Then Silver spoke. "You getting tired?"
Ethan slowly shook his head saying no. Then he relaxed against Silver. "I'm fine with staying up a bit longer with you. What about you?"
Silver let out a bit yawn but said, "I'm fine."
Then they both settled by a tree and looked at the stars and chatted a bit.
Next morning, Ethan was woken by the loud chattering of people. He noticed that he was laying on Silver's chest with his arms around his neck. Then Ethan realized that they've must have fallen asleep together. He took a look at the time on his phone, and realized that the buses were leaving soon. Ethan tried to get up, but he was unable to move anywhere due to Silver had his arms wrapped around him and and Silver got a tighter grip when he moved.
"Silver... Silver we got to go now!" Ethan whispered.
But Silver was fast asleep. So Ethan slid his hands on Silvers stomach and started to tickle him. Silver instantly started squirming and laughing.
"Ugh! Stop! What..." Silver shouted as he woke up. Then he looked around with a confused look. People where now starring at them.
"The buses are leaving soon. We got to go!" Ethan whispered. Then they got up and run toward the buses.
