Loonatics: United

World of Chaos

Episode 100: Night out

Later on, in the store called 'Schlatter Men'. Duck was standing before a changing room, waiting for Slam to put on the clothes he had chosen. "Done?" He inquired impatiently.

Slam growled, telling him to wait.

Duck sighed. "Man, you delay more than my girlfriend."

Slam finally opened the room´s curtain, revealing himself, wearing a dark gray suit, a purple tie and a pair of black shoes, snarling at Duck to ask what he thought about his looks.

"Hey, not bad, pal." Duck nodded. "How would Peyton react if she saw you like this?"

Slam chuckled while blushing then he grunted his response, saying she would probably faint and love him even more than she already does.

"Now that´s what I call modesty, big guy." Duck winked at him. "Alright, we´ll take it. Now, let me find something for this handsome Duck." He pointed at himself.

After several minutes, Duck and Slam exited the shop, wearing their new attires, right over their bodysuits just in case. Duck had bought a white suit and a pair of orange shoes. He was also wearing an orange bow tie. Slam snarled, telling Duck it was actually pretty fun, to go with him and buy those nice attires.

"Whenever you want, man." Duck replied. His comm began to sound, he pulled up his sleeve to answer the call. "Yeah?"

"Hey, where are you guys?" Susan said from the other side.

"We´re still on the first floor, just shopped at a place called, uhm, 'Schlatters' or something." Duck replied.

"Oh, nice. You see, there´s a dance club not too far away from h..." Susan was interrupted by Duck.

"Yes! We wanna go!" Duck said abruptly, making Susan chuckle.

"Alright! Let´s just make some more time before it actually opens, then I´ll call you back, okay?" Susan said.

"Okay, yeah! Awesome. See ya." Duck ended the call. "It seems like the fun has barely started, Slam." He hit his comrade´s arm with his elbow while chuckling.

Slam chuckled and hit him as well, making him fall. He looked at Duck and let out a growl of apology.

"It´s okay, it didn´t hurt a lot." Duck said while groaning over the ground.

The hours passed, after visiting countless stores and checking innumerable products, the night had arrived and they were ready to go to the dance club. Susan called another hover cab and they got in. "I hope those suits are not as expensive as they look, Duck." Tech said with a straight tone.

"Oh, they are." Duck replied with a cocky grin. "I´m a man of fine tastes." He patted Slam´s shoulder. "So is Slam."

Tech sighed while shaking his head. "Alright, now hand me the card."

"Woah, wait. I still gotta eat...and drink as well." Duck got his hands behind his neck while sighing with satisfaction. "What a way to show off my new suit."

"Are you gonna do your epic dance moves, Tech?" Rev asked, getting no response from him. "Tech."

Tech gasped and looked at his comrade. "Oh…" He chuckled. "Yeah, sure pal."

Susan raised an eyebrow. "You okay, baby?"

"Yes, I´m alright. I was just thinking about something, that´s all." Tech replied with a smirk.

After a few minutes, the hover cab arrived at the place, landing over a large platform that was attached to the rooftop of the tall building, with a cyan colored neon sign displaying the name of the dance club, 'Apnea'. Duck whistled with excitement. "I can´t wait to see the inside!"

Susan and the four Loonatics entered the club. The ceiling was high, black as the walls and the floor. Light blue, luminescent columns went all the way from the floor to the ceiling, distributed all over the club, serving as the only illumination there. Tech nodded with approval while they walked between the dancing crowd. "This looks nice." Tech had to speak louder as the music was very loud.

"I know, right!" Susan replied.

"Where´s the bar?" Duck inquired.

"Oh, right there." Susan pointed at the place Duck had asked for, a large bar in a corner of the club, with lounges, televisions and other leisure goods for everyone to enjoy.

"Great! Wanna come?" Duck asked.

"Oh, I think I´m gonna dance a bit first." Susan replied.

"Okay, see ya later." Duck looked at Slam and gestured at the bar. "Come on big guy, let´s have some fun."

After Duck and Slam left, Susan grasped the arm of her boyfriend. "Now...do you want to dance with me, baby?"

Tech was looking away, with a worried look. "Maybe later."

Susan sighed. "What´s wrong?" She caressed his chest.

Tech shook his head. "I just...I feel guilty. Having fun while they´re, well, in that state."

Susan hugged him strongly. "If there´s anyone that shouldn´t feel that way right now, it´s you." She stroked his back gently. "You saved them, hon." Susan kissed his cheek. "What would Ace tell you?" She slowly broke the embrace.

Tech looked at her with hesitant eyes, then let out a brief sigh and placed a hand on her cheek. "Shall we dance, then?" He smirked at her and grasped her hand, taking her to another spot quickly, making her laugh sweetly.

Meanwhile, Duck was enjoying a glass of whisky while Slam was having one of vodka. "Man! This is what I call life, you know? Duck said while shaking his glass. "Just a good whisky on the rocks, no soda or weird syrups there." He took a long sip from his beverage.

Slam nodded, taking a sip from his vodka, burping afterwards and chuckling. He snarled at the bartender, asking him for a bowl of chips.

"Oh, nice choice, big guy." Duck took another sip.

Slam´s ear twitched when hearing a song he found familiar, he grunted with inquiry while looking at Duck.

"Yes! That´s my jam, man!" Duck suddenly got over the bar, to the bartender´s annoyance.

Slam´s eyes widened, looking at Duck with confusion, snarling at him, asking him what the heck was he doing.

"Hey, get down or I´ll call security!" The feline bartender warned.

"No can do!" Duck snapped his fingers while dancing over the bar. "Here it comes, ladies and gentlemen!"

Slam looked around while blushing, noticeably embarrassed by his comrade. He grunted at him while frowning, telling him he was drunk.

Duck chuckled with mockery. "I´m more sober than ever, Slam! Otherwise I´d be arrested already!" He ignored the warnings of Slam and the bartender and brought his almost empty glass of whisky close to his beak as if it was a microphone. "This is for all of ya!" The people around looked at him with confusion and intrigue as well.

The electric guitars began to sound, along with upbeat drums and synth notes. Tech and Susan were dancing with excitement and happiness, looking into each other´s eyes while moving smoothly, in wait for the lyrics to come. Rev was also dancing, along with some strangers he had just met. Duck began to sing along as soon as the lyrics started.

Moving in the shadows with some common sense and faith,

Falling over leaves while caressing your precious face,

Looking for your lips, in the darkest of the nights,

Feeling all your love, while my heart and soul arise.

I know that I love you,

I have no doubts at all,

I wanna marry you,

Yeah I wanna marry you.

Let´s head to the altar and take the leap,

We´re gonna be okay,

Let´s have some kids and love them forever,

We´re gonna be okay.

Bills don´t get paid on their own so we must get to work,

Times are hard as stone outside so we might get confused,

Look into my eyes, and listen to my voice,

Now take a deep breath, as our love will keep afloat.

"As our love will keep afloat." Tech whispered at Susan, holding her just a few inches from the floor and kissing her with passion.

The people in the bar area clapped, sung and yelled with praise at Duck´s performance, even the bartender. Slam was just smirking while moving his foot by the song´s rhythm. "And...here it comes again!" Duck exclaimed, the people kept cheering him up.

Oh! I know that I love you,

I have no doubts at all,

Yeah! Baby!

I wanna marry you,

Yeah I wanna marry you!

Let´s plan our honey moon it will be great,

We´re gonna be okay,

Kissing on the beach while taking the sun,

Yeah

We´re gonna be okay.

"Thank you, Alumia!" Duck took the last sip of his whisky and raised his arms with celebration, people cheered him, clapping and screaming with great excitement.

Susan caressed the face of her boyfriend. "We´re gonna be okay." She winked at him and began to kiss him.

After that magical and fun night, Susan and the four Loonatics returned to the apartment. It was around midnight, they all went to their respective places in order to get some good sleep.

In the early morning, Ace was groaning, moving over his bed. He woke up abruptly with a gasp of pain. "Dang."

Tech and Slam got woken up. "Boss?" Tech got rapidly onto his feet and approached Ace, looking at him with a smile. "I´m so glad to see you awake."

"Gah!" Ace was breathing in and out anxiously while rubbing his chest.

"You´ll have to rest a few more days to heal completely." Tech said.

Ace looked at him with worry. "Where´s Lexi? Is she okay?"

Tech stood silent for a moment. "She´s stable."

Ace gasped. "What do you mean?!" He groaned by the pain on his chest.

"Hey." Tech placed a hand on his shoulder. "She is fine, Ace." He scratched his nape. "Just..."

"Tell me!" Ace exclaimed, making Tech back away a bit.

Tech sighed. "Alfons captured her and...hurt her. Badly." He patted his shoulder. "Don´t worry, Duck and Rev rescued her just in time." Ace got thoughtful, anguished and teary, clenching his fists strongly. He tried to get up, screaming intensely by the pain he felt. Tech rapidly held him. "Ace! You have to recover, stay here!" Tech scolded.

"I wanna see her!" Ace exclaimed and began to cry, hugging Tech. "Please..." He sobbed. "Let me see her."

Tech patted his back compassionately. "She is recovering, the best you can do for her now is to let her do so." Ace kept crying, each time more quietly, hugging Tech with great sadness.

The Maniacs

Episode 1: Training day, part 1

In a fully equipped gym, of sterile, clean and appealing aesthetic, with gray and blue tones, Randy González, a brown furred mouse with short, black hair and green eyes was hitting the punching bag, gasping with each punch and kick he gave. He was wearing black shorts and a white undershirt, standing barefoot over the mat. He sighed and lowered his head while rubbing his fists.

"It takes time, amigo." Akinyi entered the room while smirking at him, she was a white furred fennec fox, with purple eyes, wearing dark blue shorts and a black top.

"I just want to be at your level." Randy smiled back at her. "I might have super speed, but I suck at fighting, which I think might be problem."

Akinyi chuckled. "You´re gonna do fine, the boss chose you for a reason." She began to do stretching exercises.

"That´s not what Edison thinks." Randy replied.

Akinyi rolled up her eyes. "He´s just a grumpy boy, ignore him."

Randy chuckled. "Yeah." Randy took a deep breath and then got in a battle position in front of the punching bag, starting to hit it again.
