Bianca looked out her window to the dark snowy scenery. She was glad to be back to her own home and out of school for a while. She really needed a break from school. It's been a hard time getting through school, but with Cheren's help she's been able to survive it. In fact, she's been able to do a lot of things she couldn't do before thanks to him. That's what she likes about him. He's very smart and helpful, even though most of the time he's all about himself. Like she was with her father that one day, she's determined to be brave and tell him how she feels. It's thanks to him that she was able to stand for herself and move forward. Bianca sighed and wondered, 'but what if he doesn't feel the same way?' There's no way he'd be interested in such a bimbo such as herself, she was sure. He's a good friend, but maybe that's all he'll be.
The next morning, Hilda video called Bianca to see if she be interested in having a snowball fight with her, Hilbert, and Cheren. She said she wasn't feeling well. The first time, they let her be as that's what she said she wanted. But then she used that same excuse for a week straight. Cheren says he'll see what's really going on, and talk to them later. Once inside the house, Cheren walked in the house and knocked on the bedroom door.
Knowing only one person who'd knock on the door, Bianca scattered to her to pretend to be sick, only to fall over her shoes.
Cheren slowly opened the door to see if she's okay, only to cross his arms when he saw what happened.
Bianca did a fake cough. "I tripped on my shoes… trying to answer the door."
"That's why you feel face first facing your bed, not your door. Makes sense," Cheren said sarcastically.
Bianca sat up and looked away from him from embarrassment. She knew Cheren isn't going to buy into her lie anymore.
"What's going on?"
Bianca looked into his eyes shyly. "How… do you feel about me?"
Cheren starred at her with a confused look. That did NOT answer, he thought. "What is this about?"
Bianca looked away and started fiddling with her hands. She knew Cheren was getting impatient with her, so she figured she might as well just say it. "I… really, really..."
"When you're done acting sick or whatever, then we can talk!" Cheren started to leave.
"… Like you a lot! Cheren..." Bianca looked away with a red face. She thought about it for a whole week about telling him next time he'd seen him. And the reason she faked sick is because she wasn't ready to see him. This was why. She didn't want to act all weird and awkwardly blurt things out like she just did. But she did plan to tell him. After all, he did say that she does bring joy to her life. "I guess… he doesn't like me, or he'd say something, right?" she wondered. She looked up to see Cheren frozen at the door. Bianca looked away from him with a frown.
Cheren stood where he was at, red as a cherry. He was not expecting her to confess to her. After a while, he turned backed and looked at her. "Is that what was bothering you?"
Bianca just nodded.
Cheren sighed as he walked over to Bianca. "You can be so ridiculous at times, Bianca."
"I'm sorry."
"Don't be." Cheren pulled Bianca up from the ground into an embrace. "You didn't have to cause a scene to confess to me though."
Bianca pushed him out from his hold. "Th-this isn't what I was planning!" She snapped with a red face.
He grinned at her. "So what was your plan?"
"I had no plan!"
He laughed. "I see."
She huffed and looked away.
"It's fine though." Cheren lean into her ear and whispered, "you've made me really happy just now, anyways."
Bianca looked at him in shock with red still all over her face. It felt like she was in a dream. In fact, she found it hard to believe he just said that. She also wondered if she just imagined him saying she was a joy in her life. But she wasn't waking up now.
Cheren held onto her hands and looked in her eyes with a smile. This was all so unexpected to him. He never expected Bianca to tell him first. There was some suspicion that she felt the same. But he figured that he would have been the one to tell her. The problem was, he wasn't sure how to go doing it, or when. But he figured there's no going back now. He does like her to, and if she told him how she feels, then he thinks that they are ready to be in a relationship. Because he, in his humble opinion is emotionally mature and mature in general.
Bianca called both Hilda and Hilbert to apologize later that night. When they answered, she instantly said, "I've been lying! I'm so sorry!"
"…So, why?" Hilbert asked.
"I was nervous seeing Cheren! But I shouldn't have lied to you! I'm so sorry!"
"It's okay Bianca! How'd it go seeing him today?" Hilda asked.
She blushed and looked to the side. "Real well! Me and him are an item now!" Bianca giggled a bit.
"Really? Congratulations!"
"Yeah. Well, since everyone's okay, I'll be heading to bed." Hilbert said.
Both the girls said goodnight to him and left.
"Well, you just tell me if he's causing you any trouble, and I'll straighten him out for you!" Hilda said.
"Right!" Then Bianca frowned. "I'm really sorry I didn't tell you about how I feel about him…"
Hilda just smiled. "Hey, don't worry about it! I've been not telling you who I like ether so, we are even!"
Bianca gasped. "You like someone?"
"Yeah."
"Who? You can tell me!"
Hilda sighed. "You can't tell him, okay?"
Bianca nodded.
"Because I want to tell him when I'm ready."
The next morning, all four of them met up outside to hangout.
"So I heard that you and Bianca are dating now," Hilbert stated to Cheren.
Cheren pulled up his book and answered with a, "hmm."
Bianca frowned. "Oh no! He probably wasn't ready to tell anyone yet! Or it was a dream…" she thought.
Bianca was right, with him not being comfortable with them knowing. Cheren felt odd with them knowing not even twenty four hours after they made it official. But he knows that he should've known better, with Bianca.
"That's great, Cheren…" Hilda said.
Cheren didn't respond, but just flipped a page.
Hilbert chucked a snowball at the back of Cheren's head, making his face slam into his book.
Cheren glared at him.
Hilbert shrugged and said, "what?"
Hilda and Bianca both couldn't help but laugh.
Cheren picked up some snow, and quickly threw it at Cheren. But Hilbert dodged it. They both then started throwing snowballs at each other. Not too long after, the girls joined in.
They all went to Hilbert's house to warm up after the snowball fight. Bianca and Cheren were sitting on the couch by the fireplace, while Hilda was helping Hilbert with the hot coco.
Bianca looked at Cheren with a frown. "I'm sorry."
Cheren looked up from his book and asked, "for what?"
"I shouldn't have told them yet."
Cheren wrapped an arm around her and said, "don't worry about it." He couldn't really be mad at her right now. Besides, it really wouldn't be right to hide it from their close friends, and would have to explain it sometime.
She smiled a bit. "Alright. So what have you been reading?"
"History. Got to be prepared for when we head back to school."
"Oh… right." Bianca just laid against Cheren with a sigh. She remembers just how serious he was about everything. Though, she's fine with that. She just hopes now that she can continue to make Cheren happy. Then she remembered what Hilda told her last night. It came to quite the shock to Bianca that Hilda had a crush on someone. Then again, Bianca knows how well she can be at hiding her feelings and thoughts, unlike herself. Bianca hopes that Hilda tells him soon, and that it goes as well for Hilda as it did for her.
Hilda is glad all is well for Bianca. She missed hanging out with her. But she can understand how hard it is to tell someone you like them. After all, Hilda herself couldn't do it, and she thought she was pretty courageous. She still wonders how she could do it. Hilda doesn't want it to be too late in which he already found someone else. But she wants him to be happy too. It made her a little more hopeful, seeing how well Bianca did that it won't be so bad telling him. But she still is baffled on what to do. So she called Bianca up. Once she answered she asked, "How did you do it?"
"Huh?" Bianca responded.
"How did you tell him?"
Bianca groaned. "It's… pretty embarrassing really..."
