The Heroes base, Jay's office, Pueblo, Colorado, 8:25 A.M.
Jay hates paperwork. He really does but he knows it is a necessary evil and the paperwork needs to be done today. Jay sighs as he just finished another peace treaty. Life is a funny thing, is it? Jay thought as he begins to think about his long-ass life and what he had been through. He remembers that he was bodyguarding Yusuke like it was yesterday. Now, he is one of the leaders of the Heroes and is helping the Lost Order. Well, more like babysitting as the Lost Order are like little kids and is getting used to being on the good side. The Lost Order is trying to get rid of Zeldox's influence on them as Zeldox did a number on his kids' minds. It is a long journey for the Lost Order and Jay, but Jay does love the family and he swore a vow to help them in any way he can and he gonna go through with that vow even to the bitter end.
"Finally!" Jay said in relief as he put the last of the paperwork into the huge pile of paperwork, "I can finally rest." Jay was about to exit the room but the door opens.
Jay gets into his fighting stance and glares daggers at the person, "I swear if it any more paperwork, I will kick your ass up and down this whole base,"
Mia raises her hands in the air and an amused smile spreads across her face, "Relax old man. I don't have any paperwork for you...I just came to talk to you," Mia pull up the seat and sat down in it.
Jay put his guard down and sat back down, "What do you want to talk about?" Jay may not know Mia as well as the other members of the Lost Order, but he has a hunch of what she wants to talk about.
"How do you restrain for punishing those ungrateful humans?" Mia asked as she really trying not to beat the humans as they can be ungrateful and downright disrespectful at times. She was a hero for fuck sake and a goddess. The least they can do is show a little respect to her.
'I knew it,' Jay thought as he wanted to facepalm but stopped himself from doing that. He knew what he was getting into when he agreed to go with the Lost Order and formed a team with them, but he should have thought this through as he know how charming Zeldox is and how persuasive that mad motherfucker can be. The Lost Order thought it was their duty as gods and goddesses to guide humans to be better and rule over them with an iron fist. But Jay knows that the Lost Order knows guidance themselves as they are new to being away from their father and are trying to get rid of his influence on them. Jay tries to help them but is failing as he is not good at stuff like this and the Lost Order doesn't listen to him.
"May I ask what brought you to ask this question?" Jay is curious about what made Mia ask this question as he knows she can be very petty.
"Well, I was helping this old lady across the street and she showed me a picture of her grandson and said 'Isn't he the cutest?' And I simply said no, he ugly. Which caused the old lady to look like she wanted to slap the shit out of me and just walk off," Mia explained as she is still bitter about that whole incident, "She didn't even say thank you. Someone should that old bitch some manners." Mia crossed her arms and just huffed.
Jay is flabbergasted by this. He knew that Mia can hold a grudge for a really long time, but to hear the whole story, it really shows how petty and spiteful Mia can be. God, Jay really should have thought this through. He should have stayed with Yusuke and things would have been much easier to deal with. However, he come this far with the Lost Order so he can't back out now as he did make a promise to himself and God to help and protect this family in any way he can. Jay is also responsible for keeping a watch on Zeldox. Yusuke and Razdon know that Jay is responsible enough to make sure that Zeldox won't escape and they know Jay has the Lost Order to help him with Zeldox if the mad god does escape from his prison.
"I mean you did insult her grandson," Jay said getting over his shock, "I think it best you keep your comments to yourself sometimes."
Mia looked at him with a surprised expression, "What the fuck do you mean by that?! My father always tells me it is rude to keep comments to myself."
Oh lord, Zeldox certainly did quite a number on his kids, "It is good to be an honest person, but it also good to know when to keep your mouth shut as you don't want to make the situation worse or offend anybody,"
Mia thought about what Jay said. Keeping your mouth shut? It sounded rude to her not to be always honest with the people around her. Then again, she is new to this and a lot of things her father taught are ass-backward or wrong. And she does say a lot of messed things to people now that she is thinking about it.
Mia got up from her seat and sighed, "I guess you're right, old man. I try to follow your advice, but I can't make any promises," Jay smiles and Mia was about to walk out of the door, but the door slams wide open and Kamozoe Kaede runs into the room. She looked like she run a marathon.
"Woah, you okay?" Jay asked in concern. He and everyone know that Kaede doesn't have the best stamina on the team so what got her running in his office in such a hurry?
"Y-you're not gonna believe this, but we have someone special here," Kaede said between her pants.
