It was time for the students to return to their work. But Bonnie didn't want to go back to school. She found schoolwork boring and unhelpful. As everyone was hanging out at breakfast, she decided to sneak away, but bumped into Max.
"…What are you up to?" he asked.
She laughed nervously. "Nothing! Defiantly not running away from this… amazing place or anything like that!"
"Woah! That sounds awesome!"
Bonnie gave him a confused look.
"Yeah, the stuff they make us 'learn' is stuff I knew when I was like eight years old!"
Bonnie smiled. "Well, you can come with me, if you like!" She liked the idea of a little company with her instead of being alone, and she thought Max is pretty cool.
Max smirked. "I thought you weren't thinking of running away from here?"
Bonnie frowned and angrily glared at him. "Okay I lied! Let's just get out of here!" Bonnie just grabbed his wrist by her hands and dragged him along.
"H-hey, wait!"
The buses were getting ready to leave. Drew was looking around for May, and believes he finally found her. So he rushed in the bus she went on and sat next to her. Once Drew sat down next to her, the bus started moving. Drew put his arm around who he thought was May, and she quickly jumped and glared at him.
"I'm sorry if I upset you. Can you at least tell me what I did wrong?" Drew asked.
She screamed. "Get off me, you creep!" She then slapped him.
Drew held his cheek. "Oww. Really May, what is with you?"
The girl was hunched up against the window. "Is that a joke or something? My name is not May!"
Drew fell straight off his seat with shock. "W-what? But you look exactly like her!"
"Well, I'm not May!"
"Okay… are you her twin?"
"No! I'm an only child!"
"Oh… Sorry." Drew just awkwardly sat on the bus's floor. "But why hasn't May been texting me?" he wondered. He texted her so they could meet up and hangout when he woke up, but still hasn't text back yet. He doesn't think he did anything to anger her, so it doesn't make sense that she would just plain ignore him like this.
May and Clemont were walked into a room.
"Please understand! My little sister… she's suddenly gone missing!" Clemont pleaded.
"And I just was trying to make sure my little brother was okay!" May shouted.
The man glared at them. "Here, all students are OUR priority, not student's priority. Your priority should be on YOU and your education."
Clemont frowned and looked away, while May pouted and crossed her arms.
"I don't care what you say! My brother is way more important than being forced to learn!" May shouted.
"I… agree. Learning may be important, but it doesn't replace importance of finding out if she's okay." Clemont shouted.
"You two are being dramatic! Just because you aren't looking for your siblings doesn't mean they won't be okay!" the school staff said.
May glared at her, while Clemont sat silent.
"For going against direct orders of catching the bus, you two shall have to be assisted to all classes, spend lunch in detention, and clean toilets after school for a whole week. Understood?" the school staff asked.
"Fine," May said.
"Okay…" Clemont said.
The bell rung, signaling five minutes till class.
"Good, let's get you two to class now," the school staff said.
Bonnie dragged Max in the middle of a forest.
"Huh… Where are we?" Bonnie asked.
"If you let me grab my stuff before we left, I could tell you," Max stated.
Bonnie nervously laughed and put her hands behind her. "I guess I didn't really think this through."
Max narrowed his eyes and sighed.
"But you know what? Who cares! We are free now! No teachers, no rules, no nothing!"
Max smiled a bit. "Yeah, that's true!"
Then a wild Dodrio appeared and Max screamed.
"Oh no, I have no pokemon to defend myself!" Max shouted.
Bonnie grinned. "That's okay! I get to show you my friend, Dedenne!" She lifted her purse up for Dedenne to come out, but it was fast asleep. "… Okay let's run!"
They ran off and Dodrio went after them.
"You know we can't outrun it, right?"
Bonnie turned around and the wingless bird was catching up to them. She stopped. "Then I guess we have to fight it!"
The wild dodrio stopped and glared at her.
"Are you crazy?" Max shouted.
"Do you have a better plan?"
Max looked at her nervously.
The dodrio charged at her full speed and bonnie curled up to the ground. Dodrio didn't expect that, so it tripped on her and slammed into a tree. Bonnie then threw a pokeball at it, and caught it. She planned on catching pokemon out here, so she was somewhat prepared to deal with being lost.
Max looked at the ball in disbelief.
Bonnie ran up to the pokeball and picked it up. "All right! I got such a cute pokemon!"
Max laughed a bit. "cute? I guess everyone does have their own opinion…" he thought.
Bonnie sent out the Dodrio, and it glared at her, and used Fury Attack on her.
"Oh no!" Max shouted.
Bonnie hit all three heads and crossed her arms. "Bad! You aren't suppost to attack people!"
All three heads looked away from her and growled at her.
Bonnie put her hands on her hips and her cheeks puffed up. "Now you listen to me, you three!"
"It doesn't seem like Dodrio sees you as a worthy trainer yet," Max said.
She crossed her arms. "Well, when Dedenne wakes up, you'll see how worthy I am! You'll see!"
Max smiled at how determined Bonnie was now.
May got done cleaning toilets and had arrived back at the dorms area. It was dinner time now, and she was just sitting at a table with her chin in her arms with a sad look.
Drew saw her and walked up to her. "May?"
She looked over at him and a small smile appeared. "Oh, hi Drew."
He sighed. "It is her," he thought.
"Everything okay?" May asked.
"Y-yeah! In fact, I was wondering that about you May."
May looked down. "Well, no. Everything isn't okay. Max has been gone ever since this morning, and he's still missing."
Drew frowned. "I see." He put a hand on her shoulder. "Well, I'll do whatever I can to help you find him. I'm sure he'll turn up sooner or later."
"Well I wouldn't want you to get into trouble, Drew."
Drew laughed. "It'll be no trouble for me. I'll take my pokemon out later tonight to look for him."
"Thanks Drew."
"No problem. So… why didn't you just text me this morning if that's what was going on?"
My gasped. "Oh no! I completely forgot it!"
"Huh?"
"I forgot my phone on the charger this morning when I got up this morning!"
Drew sighed. "Of course," he thought.
Dodrio was speeding around with Bonnie on her back, trying to get her off.
Bonnie was just sitting on him, laughing.
The Dodrio got tired and collapsed on the ground.
"Oh no! Are you okay, Dodrio?" Bonnie asked.
"Yeah, he just tired out is all," Max said. He just sat on the rock and just watched the whole thing.
"Well maybe some food will perk you up, Dodrio." Her stomach rumbled. "Ugg… But I don't know where to get some food though."
"Well, I'm sure we can find some berries around here if we look," Max said.
"Yeah!"
"And…" he picked up a twig. "If we use these twigs, we can mark our way, so we can come back to this spot!"
"Wow what a great idea, Max!"
Max blushed and looked away. "Well, it's… it's just a simple thought really."
Bonnie quickly grabbed a twig. "Well, I'll go look this way! Good luck!"
Bonnie looked around the forest while dragging the twig behind. Dedenne then popped out her bag.
"Oh, you're finally awake! Are you hungry too, Dedenne?"
Dedenne happily shouted and lifted its arms up.
"Well you should help us find some berries too!"
Dedenee happily shouted and hopped out her bag and scurried a tree.
Then a Beedrill came straight for Bonnie and she shouted, "oh no!"
Dedenee came down and used Nuzzle on it, and it fainted.
Bonnie captured it. "Now you can help us find berries!" She sent the Beedrill out. "We should stick close though. We should be safe together!" She crossed her arms. "Well, I hope Max is okay…" She then looked at the twig. "He most likely is, because he's so smart!" She giggled and blushed.
Max dragged the stick behind and looked at the clouds. He thought back to how brave Bonnie was with Dodrio and how cool she is overall. Max stopped and sighed. "Someone that cool wouldn't be interested in some nerd like me." He then heard some buzzing behind him, and when he looked to see the Beedrill, he ran off. The stick was sent flying out of his hand in panic. The Beedrill was catching up to him. Max then saw a river close by. So he dashed off towards it and jumped into the river to lose the Beedrill. It worked, but the currents were pulling him and making him unable to get out.
Bonnie found a cave and marked the way so Max can get there. Dedenne and Beedrill where already digging in, and she sent out Dodrio to eat. She placed some berries down, and once Dodrio found one he liked, he started munching down.
Bonnie petted its back while it ate. "I'm glad you were able to find one you like, Dodrio." Bonnie looked out the cave with a frown. It was dark out, and Max was still out there alone. She turned to Beedrill. "Beedrill, do you think you can find Max?"
Beedrill gave her a confused look.
"He's around my age, has black hair, glasses like this…" She moved her fingers around her eyes to match his glasses. "Can you see if you are able to find him?"
Beedrill nodded and flew off.
Bonnie sighed and placed a hand by her heart. "Max… I hope you are okay."
