Chapter 4: Mean Street is Getting Mean

During Oswald's Birthday Festivity, everyone dances, eats, chats, and parties. On the other hand, Oswald is sitting on his birthday throne with Ortensia, Gus, and Mickey by his side.

"Next is the Mad Doctor to present his gift to the Lucky Birthday Rabbit," said Gus, looking at the roster.

The Mad Doctor showed up with a present and said, "Ah, yes. I want to sing about the present, but my vocal cords need to rest. I hope you like it, Oswald."

"I know I will," said Oswald, beginning to open it.

He finds his Remote, but it got an upgrade. It's got new buttons for every attacking move, two antennas, and words in blue, "Oswald."

"Is this my remote?" Oswald asks.

"That's right. I gave it an upgrade and paint job. Plus, it's got a few surprises. Go on and push a button," the Mad Doctor.

When Oswald presses one, the remote pops out a monitor and a radar.

"Oooh," everyone was impressed.

"Thanks to Mickey's informing of how the world is developing, I gave your remote a radar system to show you where your ally or enemy is. Plus, better communication all over Wasteland," the Mad Doctor explained.

"Thanks, Doc. Pure advantage is what this remote will bring me during battle," Oswald responds.

"I'm so happy to be here, Oswald," said Mickey.

"Mick, you come here every day to visit. Never missed one."

"Yeah, but this day will be the best one you'll ever encounter."

"Alright, Mickey. Your gift is the last one left. And we'll soon transport the gifts to Dark Beauty Castle in the train," said Gus, showing the train holding a cart of Oswald's presents.

"Hotdog, I've been waiting for this. Saving the best for last. I hope you love it, Ozzie-san."

Mickey then takes out a rectangular present. It's covered with blue wrapping and red ribbon.

"Thanks, Mickers. What is it?" said Oswald as Mickey handed him the present.

"Something precious that I made out of my two hands and the love from my heart."

Everyone was touched that they said, "Awwwww."

"You two are so adorable," Ortensia commented.

"Now, we are not!" Mickey and Oswald blushed in flusters.

"Alright. Here we go. Time to open this last present," Oswald rubbed his hands together.

He slow motion to unwrap the present while everyone watches in excitement.

But he stopped when someone shouted, "Help! Help! Help!"

"Do you hear that?" Animatronic Goofy asks.

"Can someone give us a hand here?!"

"Keep that camera rolling," Animatronic Daisy said to her Spatter.

"It's coming from the Walt statue," said Oswald, putting the present down on his seat to check out the commotion.

"Hey, Oswald. Wait up," said Mickey, following his brother.

But when the Toonateers with Gus goes ahead of everyone, Tintley and Turpley come flying over.

"Watch out!" Tintley shouted.

"Get out of the way!" Turpley yelled.

But Tintley and Turpley ran into Mickey and Oswald's faces, causing them to fall.

"Mickey and Oswald, are you okay?" Animatronic Donald is concerned.

The half-brothers sat up and rubbed their heads.

"I…I got something…in my ear," said Oswald, while something was moving inside his right ear.

He smacks his head for Turpley to come out of his ear.

Then Turpley said, "Hey, long ears! Watch where you are going. And while you're at it, clean your ears."

"Who are you calling long-ears?! You and your friend were the ones who ran into my brother and me," Oswald barked back.

"My friend? Ah, Thinner! Tintley?! Tintley! Where'd you go?!"

After hearing a gurgling sound, Mickey is pounding his chest.

"What's wrong, Mickey? Something you ate?" Oswald while helping his brother up.

"Yeah. A peculiar taste…keeps coming back on me," Mickey coughed up.

Coming out of Mickey's mouth while opening it is Tintley, which shocks everyone.

Then Tintley said, "Oh, I'm so sorry. We were flying by. But Mr. Mouse, I recommend looking at your second mole. There might be a cavity. Plus, it would be best to cut down on the cheddar cheese. It's not good for the stomach."

"Huh? Minnie was telling me to try Swiss instead," Mickey continued. "Wait a minute! Let's cut to what just happened here. Oswald, you got fairies living here now?"

"We don't. I've never seen these kinds of fairies before," said Oswald.

"You never seen a Guardian Fairy before? At least that's what we think we are," Turpley said.

"Guardian Fairy?! As the Guardians, Tints, and Turps?!" Gus amazed.

"Uh, yes? Isn't the green me and my blue ally here obvious?"

"Hi, I'm Tintley, the Tint Guardian Fairy, and he's my friend, Turpley, the Turp Guardian Fairy. Sorry if we interrupted something," said Tintley.

"This is unique—a new species of the Guardians. Are there more like you?" the Mad Doctor asks.

"Yes! Tell us everything about yourself," said Daisy, making the Splatter Cameraman point the camera at the fairies.

"We don't know if there's more of us. We don't even know where we came from," said Turpley, crossing his arms.

"But we remember being held by a gang of cats before escaping them by entering an underground. The cats then send their army of ink monsters to come after us," said Tintley.

"Group of cats? Could she mean the Petes?" Ortensia asks.

"Could be. If so, where could the Petes have found Tintley and Turpley?" Oswald said.

"Hang on, did they say ink monsters we're after them?" Mickey said.

Just then, coming out from the Ventureland Projector, the Boltings shaped at the Wasteland inhabitants with Beetleworks eyes and glowing pink hearts.

"So, that's the Petes' Birthday gift to me? An army of new Boltings?! What a rip!" said Oswald.

"It's a good thing I brought the Paintbrush," said Mickey.

"Now I can taste how the upgrades on this remote. Ortensia, get everyone to the train!"

"On it," said Ortensia as the inhabitants screamed and fled for the train.

"Time for the Disney Brothers to get back to work," Mickey and Oswald said, charging toward the new enemies.

"Those fools! They don't even know the BoltToons' weaknesses," said Turpley.

"Should we help them?" Tintley asks.

"We'll sense they don't know what they are up against. I guess we have no choice."

"Besides, it is the Rabbit with the remote's birthday."

"You're too sweet, but heck with it. I want to return to the enemy for putting tests on us."

Mickey tries to fire Paint and Thinner, but nothing seems to affect them.

"Why isn't it working?!" Mickey panics.

When a BoltToon slaps the Paintbrush out of his hand, and more of them surround them, Oswald comes hoping while shouting, "Mickey!"

He gets close to his brother to unleash Electric Blast, which electrocutes the BoltToons into buckets of Paint and Thinner.

"Thanks for giving us some juice, Cottontail," said Turpley, picking up Thinner buckets and drinking them.

"You drink Thinner?" Mickey asks.

"It's good for my health, Mousey."

After Tintley drinks the Paint buckets, she says, "You see, the only way you can defeat your enemies is by aiming them at their hearts."

"This is how you do it, Round Rump Brothers."

"Round Rump Brothers?!" Mickey and Oswald were confused before looking at their butts. "Are they that big?"

They cover their hides in embarrassment to see Turpley fire Thinner from his hands onto the BoltToons' hearts. This caused them to melt and unleash Turps.

"The Guardians! They were in the enemies' hearts?!" Gus said when arriving while the revaluation dumbfounded the half-brothers.

"Yeah. The cat gang somehow created high-tech nets to capture them to create the BoltToons," said Tintley.

"BoltToons?" Mickey, Oswald, and Gus ask.

"Now's not the time. More are coming."

"Boys! Everyone is on the train. We got to go!" Ortensia shouted while coming over.

"Ortensia, get back!" Oswald yelled in concern.

"My Paintbrush! Where is it?!" Mickey looks around while making a spin attack to shove the enemies away.

Just then, a BoltToon of himself picks up the PaintBrush and snaps it in two. Everyone was shocked that it did. But Mickey was so horrified that he turned pale white and fainted.

"Mickey!" Oswald said, holding him in his arms.

When the BoltToons corner the three men and the Guardian Fairies, Ortensia runs over to help, but she balled up her right fist. Her fist morphed into a stony brick before she stretched her arm forward to hit the BoltToons' hearts and freed the Guardians within.

"Woah! Ortensia, how did you do that?" said Oswald, going over to her while carrying his brother, bridal style.

"I don't know, but was I great?" she responded.

"More than that, Catty-Cakes."

"More enemies are coming! We need to get on the train to restock," said Gus.

"There are more," said Tintley, coming over with Turpley.

Soon, hundreds of BoltToons came out of the Ventureland Projector.

"Meh! I can take it out instantly!" Trupley continued.

But when he tries to fire at the BoltToons, only little comes out of his hands, making him say, "Dang it! Out of Thinner!"

"Come on! To the train!" said Oswald, getting his group to follow him.

Mickey woke up and said, "Oh. The Paintbrush…Wait! The present! Where is it?!"

When he and everyone are on the train, he sees BoltToon Mickey picking up Mickey's birthday present to Oswald and swallows it.

He screamed in a shrilly girl scream before yelling in horror, "First, it broke my Paintbrush, and now that BoltToon swallowed the present!"

"Hehe. He screams like a girl," Turpley chuckled.

"Mickey is a guy, is he? Or is he non-binary?" Tintley asks.

This surprises everyone before Mickey tries to get the gift but gets pulled back by Oswald.

"Mickey! It's too late. We got to escape!" Oswald said.

"But your present!" Mickey reply.

"No time! Hit it!"

Quickly, the train drove off while Mickey shouted, "THE PRESENT!"

With the train gone, the BoltToons cheered in victory before BoltToon Mickey planted a flag with the Pete Gang's faces on it. He then goes to his wristwatch to show Big Bad Pete's face on the monitor.

"I see you conquered Mean Street. Soon, Wasteland will be called Peteland. But where are the Tint Fairy and Turp Fairy?!" Big Pete continued.

After BoltToon Mickey gurgles in response, Big Bad Pete responds, "What?! They found the mouse and rabbit?! You let them get away?!"

After he gurgles again, Big Bad Pete responds, "You broke the Brush?! Wow! That is surprising. Without it, Mickey is powerless. Peteland will be done in one day. What else you got?"

Once it gurgled, Big Bad Pete said, "You have stolen a birthday present for Oswald from Mickey Mouse? Hehehe. I bet he'll go great leathers to get it back. But that Mouse and Rabbit won't stop our plan. They have defeated the Bolt and the Mad Doctor, but their natural enemy will prevail this time. Bwahahahaha! Get back to HQ! We need you to keep Prescott in line along with other captives."

After nodding, BoltToon Mickey whistled. BoltToon versions of 13 Disney Villains: Queen Grimhilde, Lady Termaine, Maleficent, Ursula, Gaston, Jafar, Governor Ratcliffe, Shan Yu, Dr. Facilier, Mother Gothel, Mor'du, Te Ka, and Namaari. But coming out of the crowd of villains are BoltToons Oswald and Ortensia. They come before the BoltToon villains so they can all bow before him. After making Mickey's sounds, they nodded before they went their separate ways. BoltToon Mickey laughed evilly before BoltToons Oswald and Ortensia came over to him. They huddled up to whisper before they ran off.
