Episode 117: White dragons

After Tech landed the jet, he and his comrades, as well as The Maniacs, exited the vehicle while walking towards the automatic doors of the gray, metallic and cubic building. They entered the place, dim blue lighting illuminated the inside of the hallway they were walking through, a couple of flowerpots adorned the sides. "Not bad." Duck said while glaring around.

"You got some taste for lodging, Coyote. I admit it." Akinyi said.

"Thanks." Tech replied casually.

They arrived at the reception, behind the large bar was an old english shepherd, who wore a red polo shirt and a pair of jeans. "Hello. How may I help you?"

"Hey, uhm, do you have rooms left?" Tech inquired.

"For sure! How many?" The shepherd asked while taking out his tablet.

"Two will do." Tech said.

"Two?" Akinyi inquired with concern.

Tech glared at her. "Would you like to pay for an extra one?"

Akinyi sighed. "Fine." She looked at Edison. "I warn you, Ed, I'll not tolerate any snoring or farting."

Edison blushed and frowned at her. "I don't do that!"

Akinyi shrugged. "I'm just saying."

"Alright, then. Two rooms." The shepherd handed Tech two cards. "Second floor, the elevator is that way." He pointed at the left.

"Thanks." Tech said.

"Thank you, enjoy your stay!" The shepherd replied.

They walked away from the reception and headed to the elevator. They reached the second floor and walked through the hallway. "How big are they? You didn't even ask." Duck pointed out.

"Big enough, I checked everything in the database, don't worry." Tech replied.

They kept walking until approaching the doors of their respective rooms, which were right next to one another. "Okay, we're gonna sleep six hours and then we leave, understand?" Ace said.

"Just six hours?" Akinyi crossed her arms.

"Yes." Ace said firmly.

Vale yawned. "Alright, hand me the card." Tech did as Vale asked. "Thanks." He proceeded to slide the card on the reader next to the modern looking door, which opened right away, sliding upwards. The Maniacs entered the room then the door closed again.

Tech sighed. "Okay, let's get some good sleep." He slid the card and the door opened, then he entered the room followed by his comrades. The door closed afterwards. The general aesthetic of the place was dark blue mixed with some curvy details in light blue, the lighting was of a dim cyan color. There were two double beds, a TV taped to the wall, an armchair before a small table at the corner and a door that led to the bathroom, next to the left bed.

Duck entered the bathroom, there was a large bathtub under a shower behind a crystal wall. The sink was placed over a large blue, marble bar, the walls were of the same dark blue color. "Nice." Duck said and approached the sink, opening the faucet and getting some water on his hands, starting to wash his face, listening to the falling water. He let out a long sigh of relief then closed the faucet and took the hand towel then dried his face with it. "Sweet." He stretched and exited the bathroom.

Slam was already laying on the floor, snoring heavily. "Hmm, it looks he needed it so badly." Duck said.

"As we all…" Lexi yawned while getting into the sheets. "…do." She got her arms under the fresh pillows.

Ace laid down next to her. "Rest well, guys."

"Same have good dreams everyone I know I will." Rev said.

"Yeah, whatever." Duck laid down next to Rev. "Hey, this is comfy."

Tech was laying down on the floor, between the two beds, using a cushion as pillow just as Slam. "Good night." Tech yawned and stretched. Rev turned off the lights, pressing a button next to the bed.

Meanwhile, the Maniacs were ready to sleep as well, Akinyi and Randy were sharing bed, same as Vale and Edison. "I'm gonna turn off the lights, okay?" Vale said.

"Yeah." Akinyi replied sleepily.

Vale turned off the lights and got himself comfortable. Edison was already asleep. Randy got an arm under his pillow and yawned. "Good night, Aki."

Akinyi chuckled softly. "Rest well, Amigo."

The hours passed, in the middle of the night, screams began to be heard from the outside, as well as weird screeches and noises. Tech woke up, raising his back. "Do you guys h..?"

"He must have tracked us." Ace supposed while rapidly getting off bed.

On the meantime, The Maniacs were also getting up in order to see what was happening. "Can't we have some rest for a change?" Akinyi complained while stretching.

Vale sighed, getting his feet out of the bed. "It seems we can't."

Both teams exited their respective rooms, meeting in the hallway, rushing to see what was going on. "Do you think it's that guy?" Vale inquired.

"We're about to find out." Ace replied.

They went down the staircase at the end of the hallway, then kept running when reaching the first floor, seeing guests rushing into their rooms with fear and worry. The Loonatics and the Maniacs exited the building, arriving at the pool area. "Oh, there's pool indeed!" Duck looked up, seeing the six dragons that flew around, white colored, with blue patterns on their scales. "And…dragons…cool."

"Destroy them!" Vale exclaimed. Randy used his super speed and rushed towards one of the buildings at the sides, running over its surface in order to reach one of the dragons.

"This will be quick." Akinyi thundered her fingers and then jumped, turning into her smoke form, moving towards the white scaled creatures, which screeched loudly while throwing blue fire.

"Dang it!" Edison exclaimed, looking at Vale. "The boards are in the jet!"

"Shoot." Vale expressed then let out a sigh. "We'll have to improvise."

"Oh, you're so down to earth guys!" Duck activated his jetpack while looking at them arrogantly, then he flew towards one of the dragons.

"Idiot." Edison said coldly then looked at Tech. "Uhm...give me a hand, dog."

"Dog?!" Tech said with a frown.

"Whatever, just take me to the roof!" Edison pointed at the rooftop of one of the cubic buildings.

Tech sighed. "Fine." He activated his jetpack and flew towards Edison, taking his hand and then flying upwards.

Ace shot at the creatures repeatedly with his laser vision, running while doing so. "At this point…" His eyes widened when a dragon flew down towards him while spitting fire, he dodged the fire and the creature with two somersaults towards his right side. Ace let out a gasp. "…this doesn't surprise me!"

Tech dropped Edison on the corner of the rooftop. "Come here, lizards!" Edison took a deep breath, and when one of the dragons flew directly towards him, he roared at it, disintegrating it right away.

Randy was jumping between the two buildings while using his super speed, punching a dragon on the snout each time he got the chance, making them screech loudly by the pain.

Akinyi had gotten inside one of the dragons with her smoke form, asphyxiating it and squeezing its vital organs from the inside, bringing the beast into the water, creating a huge splash.

Duck manipulated some of the water with his power while flying with his jetpack towards a dragon. "Aqua Dense!" He threw a powerful water attack at the dragon, hitting it strongly, making it smash onto a building, denting its metallic surface, the dragon fell to the ground, having broken a wing, screeching loudly by the pain while standing and moving erratically on the ground. Duck landed before it and deactivated his jetpack. "Want some more? Okay!" He started to shoot orbs at the beast, right onto its face, the orbs exploded and hurt the dragon continuously, until dead.

Tech flew with his jetpack towards a dragon while levitating a lawn chair with his magnetic abilities, then hit the beast strongly with it. The beast fell rapidly towards Slam, who backed his arm then punched the dragon right when it approached him, making it smash onto a wall, killing it instantly, leaving a big stain of blood on the wall. The dead body of the winged creature peeled off of the wall and fell to the ground. Tech glared at Slam while giving him a thumbs up. "Good job, big guy!"

Slam growled at him with a cocky smile.

Lexi was jumping gracefully to avoid the fire and the tackles of one of the remaining dragons. She crouched and shot at its head with her brain blast, hurting it greatly. "It's all yours, hun!"

"Got it!" Ace jumped and activated his jetpack, then he shot at the beast's head with his laser vision. The beast let out a screech of death and fell to the ground lifeless.

"One left!" Vale made two copies of himself appear, making them run randomly to distract the beast, thing that worked. The white scaled monster screeched while trying to not lose sight of the holographic Vales, confused and irritated. It started to spit fire in all directions while flying.

Rev used his super speed and ran over the surface of a building then jumped from it and when approaching the beast in the air, he kicked its face strongly, making it smash onto ground violently, having ended with its life. Rev landed on one knee then stopped using his power. He got onto his feet and approached his comrades. "Hey I took that one on my own, did you guys see that?"

"Hey, I distracted it! Don´t take all the credit." Vale argued.

Edison had come down from the roof, he walked towards both teams. "What a good night of rest."

Tech sighed. "How could I know? 'Deadly dragons' wasn't listed in the database."

"It's alright." Ace's ear twitched, hearing the steps and applause of the guests and personnel that had arrived at the area.

"You are heroes!" A male squirrel yelled from the small crowd.

Randy smiled by seeing the admiration of the people. Akinyi got next to him and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Well done, Amigo." She looked at him and smirked.

Randy chuckled briefly. "We all did it, right?" He smiled back at her.

The old shepherd moved between the crowd until approaching the Loonatics and the Maniacs. "Thank you so much for saving my guests! For saving 'The Chrome Bolt'!" He sighed. "Those horrible beasts, it's the fourth time this year." He glared at them amicably. "Ah, let me thank all of you how you deserve!"

"Yeah!" Duck celebrated. "Free drinks?"

The english shepherd chuckled. "Much better! Please, have all you want to eat at the buffet, free of charge." He winked at them.

"Uhm…guys?" Ace looked at the others, his comrades and the Maniacs.

"Well…an empty stomach is never good for battle." Akinyi said.

"Now that's true." Duck said while pointing at Akinyi with his thumb.

Slam growled then his belly growled as well.

Ace sighed then looked at the man with a smile. "Alright, where's the buffet?"
