The Wrath of Tenebrous

Episode 120: Black and yellow

The swords of Ace Bunny and Tenebrous clashed loudly and strongly, both let out gasps of effort and vigor. "Do you really think you are match for me, Bunny?!" Tenebrous exclaimed, they had both exited the city, fighting on the margins, desert and bumpy, with rocky mounds and cliffs all around.

Ace gasped. "I'm not doing bad so far, am I?" He joked and turned away the edge of Tenebrous' sword with a strong swing, then kicked his stomach.

Tenebrous gasped then swung his sword at Ace's legs, but he avoided the attack with a jump and then tried to hit Tenebrous' shoulder with the blades of the Guardian Strike Sword, but Tenebrous blocked the attack with his sword. Ace kicked his shin, making him groan and stagger, then Ace raised his sword and swung it down towards him, Tenebrous rapidly stabilized and blocked the attack, then backed away a bit. "I thought that sword was meant to be feared." He swung his sword arrogantly. "I guess it's all on the wielder."

Ace grunted. "I'm barely starting!" He yelled and tried to attack Tenebrous' torso, but he blocked the attack once again. Ace tried to hit him again, but Tenebrous crouched and gave Ace a serious cut on the thigh.

"Gah!" Ace got on one knee and growled at him. "Is that it?!" He got onto his feet effortfully and scratched Tenebrous' side with the tip of his sword.

Tenebrous' groaned and rubbed his bleeding side. "As you said…" He clashed his sword with Ace's violently, getting his chest uncovered. Ace backed away but Tenebrous managed to make a cut on his chest. "I´m barely starting, bunny!"

"Ungh!" Ace put his hand on his chest briefly then swung his sword at Tenebrous several times, making the blades clash continuously, forcing Tenebrous to back away at each clash, Ace did his best to ignore his wounded thigh and chest, which were bleeding constantly. They reached the edge of a small cliff, Ace noticed this so he jumped and threw a flying kick at Tenebrous' head, hitting the helmet strongly, making him fall onto the rocky ground below with strength. Ace jumped and landed behind him, just when he was standing up. Ace got his hand on the helmet and then smashed Tenebrous' head on the rocky wall, making him groan, Ace then tried to puncture Tenebrous' leg, but he shook his head back, hitting Ace's snout strongly, making his nose bleed, forcing him to back away a couple of steps.

Tenebrous turned and grasped Ace's neck. "Impressive." He hit his stomach with his knee.

"Gah!" Ace expressed with pain.

"What?!" Tenebrous backed his weapon, then he tried to perforate Ace's chest, but Ace deflected the attack with a clumsy swing, then he backed away, rubbing his thigh while glaring at Tenebrous' with ire, keeping his sword raised. Tenebrous' laughed at him. "Look at you." He yelled and pierced his shoulder, having aimed at the chest, but Ace had moved aside

"Argh!" Ace cried in pain.

Tenebrous took his sword out of Ace's shoulder and tried to go for the neck, but Ace crouched, protecting himself with his sword, looking up at Tenebrous', who swung his sword at Ace's once again, getting him uncovered. He tried to puncture Ace's head, but he threw himself completely to the ground, avoiding the attack. Tenebrous growled. "Now I see…that you're just a little boy, playing with a sword." He yelled and swung the sword towards Ace's neck, but he rolled over the ground, barely avoiding the attack.

Ace groaned by the pain on his shoulder, thigh and chest. He tried to stand up but Tenebrous' kicked his face strongly. "Gah!" He cried out by the pain and fell to the ground, gasping and breathing anxiously.

"I'll see you in hell, boy." Tenebrous stepped on Ace's throat and raised his sword. Ace activated his jetpack, rapidly flying away from Tenebrous, making him fall to the ground.

Ace returned to the rustic city, flying towards a building where Tech and Slam were battling against a horde of mind controlled natives and outlanders. Ace landed among them. "How's the…" He gasped and rubbed his shoulder. "…situation, Doc?"

Tech glared at him and his eyes widened when seeing his wounds. "Woah, those are d…"

"Doc!" Ace gasped again.

"Oh, oh well the…citizens have been secured, but there are lots of…enemies still left." Tech informed and then approached him, taking a closer look at his wounds. "I have to check you, boss."

Ace gasped, with his hand on his wounded thigh. "Yeah…"

Slam growled, pointing at a swarm of drones that were flying towards the city, as well as several pods that came from Tenebrous' ship.

"Shoot." Tech expressed.

Ace shook his head. "Just put me some bandages I'll…" He groaned. "Gah!" He put a hand on his chest. "…I'll stop Alfons right now."

"I mean, the healing gauze could help a bit but…" Tech got interrupted.

"Do that, yeah." Ace commanded.

Tech sighed. "Okay, let's go." He embraced Ace and activated his jetpack, flying away from the building.

Slam snarled at them, asking if they were just gonna leave him alone with all those enemies. He sighed and activated his tornado, approaching the enemies and hitting them strongly, making them fly away.

"Why does he have all of this stuff?!" Akinyi said when seeing the drones arriving and destroying the city with their lasers.

"Cuz he can literally control the minds of everyone in the universe except for us for whatever reason?" Rev said.

"Okay, I get it." Akinyi replied with annoyance.

"What are those things?" Duck pointed at the big feline beasts that rushed towards them, big and blue furred, with red stripes, tiger-like, with glowing green eyes.

"Hunting trophies, they are." Akinyi thundered her fingers and then ran towards one of the beasts, turning into smoke and approaching it.

Duck raised his shoulders. "Just a normal nine-to-five, I guess." He cooked a pair of orbs and activated his jetpack, heading towards the drone swarm.

Lexi, Vale and Edison got surrounded by four of the feline beasts. "This guy is full of surprises." Vale said, making two copies of himself appear next to him, adopting a battle position.

"Too bad I don't like surprises." Edison called his hoverboard and when it arrived, he got over it, looking at the growling beasts with focus.

"Sorry kittens…this is gonna hurt." Lexi shot at the head of one of the beasts with her brain blast. The beast roared intensely by the pain and then growled at her, running with rage in order to attack.

Edison flew with his hoverboard towards a beast and hit its face with the bottom of the board, making it screech and back away. Edison then hovered over the beast and roared at it, disintegrating it.

A beast went after one of Vale's copies. "Wrong choice, brat." Vale rushed towards the beast and jumped onto its back, sitting over it while grasping its ears to avoid falling, making the beast screech loudly and shake violently to get him off. "Woah!" Vale reached for the beast's eyes. "This is gonna hurt." He pressed the left eye of the beast with his thumb, hurting it badly, then he let go off the beast´s ear from which he was holding, falling to the ground gracefully and standing up rapidly. "It's all yours, cotton tail!"

The beast screeched while rubbing its eye with its paws. Lexi landed before it, and right when the beast roared at her, she shot her brain blast right into its throat. The burning heat of Lexi's attack hurt the beast badly, the feline monster fell to the ground while screeching and shaking by the intense pain, it died after a few moments. Lexi looked at Vale with an eyebrow raised. "Cotton tail? Really?"

"Look out!" Vale pointed at the beast that had just jumped towards her.

Lexi gasped and covered herself with her arms instinctively. A blue blur appeared between her and the beast, then the beast fell to the ground unconscious. Lexi glared around with confusion. "What just..?" Randy appeared before her all of a sudden, making her gasp.

"Oh, that was me." Randy pointed at the fallen beast with his thumb. "Ouch…" He began to rub his knuckles. "…that thing had a hard jaw."

"Thanks, buddy!" Lexi patted his head friendlily. "Of these guys, you're the most…useful."

"Thanks." Vale said with sarcasm.

"Oh, I…I'm just helping, I mean we are a team." Randy scratched his nape. "I mean, we are, right?"

Lexi chuckled. "For now, yeah."

"Yeah, teamwork, so cool. There are more deadly things to destroy, guys." Vale expressed.

Tech and Ace were in the jet. Ace had gotten his bodysuit off in order to let his comrade cure him properly. Ace was sitting on the floor, with his legs extended, resting his back against the wall. "And…we're done." Tech crouched and placed a piece of healing gauze over Ace's wounded chest.

Ace gasped, then he looked at his now covered thigh, shoulder and chest. "Thanks, Doc." He began to stand up, gasping and groaning by the pain, being helped by Tech.

"Uhm, boss, I'd recommend you to wait for the gauze to take effect." Tech said with concern.

"There's no time for that." Ace replied. "He has to be stopped, as soon as possible."

Tech sighed. "At least let me help you this time."

Ace thought for a moment, then let out a sigh. "Alright." He said with hesitation.

Tenebrous was standing on the ship's roof, admiring the chaos he had created in the city. "Chaos reigns." He mumbled.

"You had your fun, Alfons!" Ace exclaimed, landing a few meters behind Alfons along with Tech.

Tenebrous chuckled with mockery. "The little bunny wants some more, huh?" He turned and unsheathed his sword, pointing at Ace with it. "And he's brought a friend this time, aw…" Tenebrous joked. "You…are pathetic!"

Tech activated his magnetic abilities and adopted a battle position, while Ace unsheathed the Guardian Strike Sword, swinging it a couple of times. "Let's get over this, Alfons." Ace said with a straight tone.

Tenebrous laughed briefly and cockily. "It seems you got a death wish, bunny." He raised his sword menacingly. "Well...I´ll grant it." He smiled under the helmet.
