Chapter 9: Wondering through the Wonderland

The Toonateers came out of a D.E.C. called Alice Comedies. After Mickey helps Oswald out, Oswald picks Ortensia out by grabbing her on the waist and spinning her a bit. Tintley and Turpley were sitting on Mickey's head between his ears. They find themselves in Tulgey Wood.

"Here we are, folks. Welcome to Wonderland's Tulgey Wood," said Oswald.

"I can't believe Wonderland has lived through all this time," Ortensia commented.

"Yes, it was supposed to be melted away from the Thinner Disaster, considering that's where most of the Thinner fell on despite the Jug ending up on Mickeyjunk Mountain," said Gus.

"What's the Thinner Disaster?" Tintley and Turpley ask.

"You don't want to know about that. Let's hope we'll find Cinderella soon and possibly get that present back," said Mickey.

"Since people will easily get lost here, I'll activate my radar to find Cinderella's location," said Oswald, using his remote.

"You can get lost here? But there are signs everywhere," Tintley opens the signs.

"I don't trust them. They all look fake to me," said Turpley.

"I got Cinderella. She's at the Queen of Hearts' Castle. But there are some BlotToons in the place. So, we need to be careful," said Oswald.

"Hang on, Lucky Rabbit. I'm smelling some Thinner Pools around here."

"I don't see any," Mickey walking ahead.

"Don't!"

Mickey is about to fall into a pit-filled Thinner when he steps on a pile of leaves. But Oswald quickly saved him by grabbing his tail.

"Whew! Big Bro is always there for you, Mickers," said Oswald.

"My goodness, I would become Fried Mouserlla. How are we supposed to get to Cinderella at this rate?" Mickey said.

But then Three Generals: BlotToons Mickey, Oswald, and Ortensia bounced on their Toon counterparts' heads to mock them. After doing it, they taunt their enemies.

"You three again! I'm going to rip that present out of your gut!" Mickey points at BlotToon Mickey.

But three Generals ran off but kept making all Thinner Pools come out of hiding, yet they didn't fall into them.

"How kind of them to show where the Thinner Pools are," Tintley commented.

"You're kidding, right?" Turpley confused.

"Nope."

"Of course."

"With the Thinner Pools before us, we won't have any trouble getting the Queen of Hearts' Castle," said Gus.

But when Mickey is not around, Turpley says, "Uh, Mickey ran after the three Generals a while ago."

They all looked to see Mickey run far away, so they yelled while going after him, "Mickey!"

"If this keeps up, I'm going to have to put a leash on that mouse," said Oswald.

Three Generals stop to see some BlotToons running for their lives. They were confused until they froze in fear to spot the giant Cheshire Cat coming. When the Toonateers catch up with the Generals, they run over them to flee.

"Ow! Right when I was about to throttle my BlotToon-self to get my present for Ozzie-san," Mickey said.

But when the Cheshire Cat puts his face up on the Toonateers, his presence makes Ortensia say, "Eeep! For some reason, he reminds me of my brother and father."

While Oswald is disgusted by her comment, Cheshire Cat wiggles his eyebrows when he looks at Ortensia.

"Eyes off my kitten, Furball Feline! She's my main squeeze!" Oswald yelled at the Cheshire Cat.

Then Mickey said, "Boy, I sure hate to be a mouse in front of this cat. Oh, wait."

Cheshire Cat licks his lips when he points his pupils at Mickey.

"Me and my big mouth," Mickey squeaked before the Toonateers fled.

The Cheshire Cat chases after them while Turpley says, "I don't want to be a cat chew toy."

The Toonateers soon came across a giant checkboard set with big cups surrounding it. They find four horse chess pieces. Mickey gets on a black one with Tintley and Turpley on his shoulders. Oswald and Ortensia get on the other black one, but Gus gets on the back behind them. When the horses ride along the checkerboard, the Cheshire Cat chases after them.

"How do we get rid of that pussy cat?" Oswald said.

Mickey notices empty teacups and paints them to reveal them filled with cream, tea, and milk. The Cheshire Cat stops the milk and begins to drink some.

"That milk won't hold in for long. We should find a place he won't come to," said Tintley.

"Look at those giant mushrooms," Gus continued. "They lead up to the giant version of the Mad Hatter's tea party set."

"A huge table, huh? But we didn't drink the "Drink Me" Potion," Mickey joked.

"Let's hop to it!" Oswald joked as everyone began to bounce the mushrooms upward.

Mickey and Oswald laughed together while Ortensia rolled her eyes and said, "Men and their sense of humor."

They were amazed by the giant tea party items and colossal food when they reached the top.

"Oh, this place got some buffet," said Tintley, licking her lips.

"Yeah, I can smell inert food all over the place. I'm ready to eat," said Turpley.

"Look! There they are," Mickey pointed to the three Generals at the other end of the table.

They were laughing before BlotToon Oswald pulled on a lever to activate five big rivers of hot tea from Painted teapots with floating sugar cubes. BlotToon Mickey then spits up Mickey's birthday present for Oswald. To mock Mickey, he makes it bounce on his butt like a soccer ball.

"My present for Oswald is not a toy," said Mickey, shaking his fist in anger.

After BlotToon Mickey swallows the present again, he commands BlotToon Ortensia to take out a button and push it. The control lets out mouse traps baited with cheese, carrots, and fish in the Toonateers' way, and a Projector for the movie Cinderella appears in a drop. The Three Generals enter the Projector to escape.

"Really? Baiting us with cheese, carrots, and fish on mouse traps? How impulsive," Oswald, annoyed.

"I know. Even in my classic days, I know how they work and how to use them to my advantage," said Mickey.

But when Mickey spotted a hotdog, he jumped on it and said, "Ah, oh boy. A hotdog with shredded cheese and mustard!"

He gets pulled back by Oswald while eating it, and the trap misses him.

"Seriously, Mick?" Oswald said.

"It's my favorite hot dog, Ozzie-san," Mickey responds while finishing his hotdog.

"No wonder he was overprotective of you."

But when Oswald sees a certain hotdog on a mouse trap, he jumps on it and says, "Ah, oh boy! A hotdog with carrot bits and mustard."

Ortensia pulls him back while he eats and avoids being caught in the trap.

"You were saying?" Mickey finished his hotdog.

"Fair point," Oswald said while still eating his.

"It's kinda weird that you both like to eat hotdogs, considering what type of animal you are," said Turpley.

"We're Toons. So what?" said Mickey and Oswald.

"Anyway, I got the teapots covered. Literally," said Tintley, throwing Paint to color in the teapots and stopping the flowing hot tea.

"Good work, Tintley. Let's hope they last long enough for us to get the Projector without eating from the mousetraps," said Gus.

"Whatever," said the half-brothers, with Oswald finishing his hotdog.

"Here goes nothing," said Mickey as the Toonateers began their way.
