The Black Widow:

Penelope's day had started off bad. Well, not bad exactly, more so mortifying. The whole team was being forced into Sexual Harassment training. She and Morgan had made jokes about the event leading up to it, but when the lady started her presentation, Penelope was pretty sure her face was more red than a tomato.

"Maybe these coworkers use phrases like, Baby Girl, Chocolate Thunder, or Where's My Big Black Twelve Pack." The dragon lady had said. Derek and Penelope shared a quick look.

The rest of their team was looking at them with much humor in their faces. Clearly they didn't find an issue with how Derek and Penelope talked, they were all used to it. But Penelope was starting to think maybe they should tone it down.

Then, Hotch called her to meet with him. They had to go to California for a case, and it was necessary for Penelope to go too. But, soon they discovered that Shane was involved, and that changed things.

To say that Penelope was overwhelmed was an understatement. When she'd agreed to take the job at the FBI ten years ago, she'd put the Black Queen behind her. She had changed her hair back to it's natural blonde color, painted her nails bubblegum pink instead of squid-ink black, and filled her apartment with all things happy. She found herself again, and allowed herself to just be Penelope again. The one who loved flamingo pens, and who kept remote control cars under her desk.

As soon as they landed, she and Morgan were paired up together to do some research. She loved being around her Chocolate Thunder, and normally would have been ecstatic to spend the day with him, but she was still feeling weird from their morning training. She knew that they had to be careful from now on. They had just started digging when he began their normal banter.

"Just do that thing that you do, Baby Girl." He said.

"Okay, we have to stop this." She sighed. When he asked what she meant she continued. "Derek the FBI is organizing seminars on the way we talk."

"So what?" He asked, slightly offended that she was suggesting this.

"So it's embarrassing." She told him.

"Not to me. I am not about to change how I am with you because Bob in payroll doesn't get the joke." He changed his voice to sound funny which made her smile.

"Look, I like the way we talk." Penelope reassured him. "Just can we cool it for a bit please?"

"Fine." Derek finally agreed, not sounding too pleased. "However before we play this little game of yours, I want to know what this Blunderguff thing is."

She denied telling him, too embarrassed to admit it. To be honest, the break of their sexy talk wasn't just because of the seminar. Truthfully, she needed to put some boundaries up. She thought she was over him. Really, she had been certain she had passed it. But, then Savannah came along, and feelings she'd long sense buried were coming back. She just needed some time to shove them back into the box they'd escaped from.

Penelope's anxiety was through the roof. Shane Wyeth was someone she had never wanted to even think of again. But, he was behind the hack, and he had done so to get her attention. This whole situation felt very personal. She was ashamed that her past was coming into the life she'd fought so hard to build.

They had to do this Shane's way. They had to meet. Hotch tried to convince her to wait, but she knew it was useless. People were dying, and the only way to stop more deaths was to do what Shane wanted. She hated the idea, but she could help. So, she was going to bring the Black Queen back for a short period of time.

She was testing the equipment with Morgan, who was also not a huge fan of her doing this, but respected that she needed to do it. She was feeling shaky, and like she was going to throw up. Of course, Derek was comforting her. He seemed to be the only one who could ever keep her calm.

"If you get in trouble I will be on you before you can-" Derek stopped the sexual joke he was going to make. "I will be there."

She squeezed his hand and gave him a half smile. She appreciated that he was listening to her wishes, even though she knew it was hard for him. He was still there for her though, and she knew there was no way Derek would ever let anything happen to her. Not after Battle.

Derek started to ask her about her relationship with Shane. She felt weird talking about it with him, but she did so anyway. She explained that she and Shane fought a lot. He loved to fight. She wasn't proud of the person Shane had made her become, but she explained to Derek that she had decided not to be that person anymore. That's when they broke up.

Derek looked at her, with such pride, and love, that she had to pull away. He was making it hard to keep him at arm's length.

"It's time." She declared. She stood.

"Time for what?" Derek asked her.

"Isn't it obvious, eyebrows?" She teased. "I have to get into character.

Penelope strutted into the meeting place adorning her Black Queen get-up. She had on a tight corset, a dark wig, heeled black boots with tall fishnet stockings, and her old signature dark makeup. It felt strange to be in this clothing again. She was used to wearing fun and bright colors, but this was necessary. She had to be the Black Queen right now, not the Black Queen.

"You miss me?" Shane asked her.

"No." She replied.

"Ok." Shane stepped close to her. Testing her. "Why don't you uh...prove it."

Penelope knew Shane was expecting her to kiss him. There was no way she was going to do that. She couldn't. Especially not when she knew that Derek was listening to what was going on. So, she had to act fast. Shane wouldn't let this go if she didn't.

She grabbed the dorky guy at the computer. She informed him that she was going to kiss him, and then she did. She made sure to prolong the kiss to really get under Shane's skin. When she pulled away, she wondered if she was this poor guy's first kiss. She felt a little bad, but she accomplished what she'd needed to. Shane agreed to speak privately with her.

She tried simply asking Shane to give the file back, but she hadn't expected that it would actually work. Shane wouldn't work with the FBI. Not when he blamed them for her leaving him. It resulted in an argument, which did not surprise Penelope at all. Shane was accusing the FBI of missing important information, and blaming them for more people dying.

"Can we just talk like normal people for a second?" Penelope pleaded with her ex.

"Yeah sure. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, let's talk like normal people." Shane said in a way that Penelope knew meant he didn't mean it one bit.

She tried anyway. She asked about his mom, which was a bad plan. He informed her that his mother died, and that he had posted about it. Of course she wasn't allowed to get in touch with them. He asked her why she went to their side. This was a conversation she wasn't ready to have. She tried lying. Telling him she got caught, but he called her out on it. The Black Queen never would have gotten caught.

"I wanted a different life." She told him.

"Well you got one didn't you? Baby girl." He threw back.

"You don't even know what that means!" Penelope fought back.

"I know the text I saw." Shane replied. "And whoever this guy is, the one you're sleeping with, he managed to do the impossible. He managed to take the strongest, toughest woman I ever met in my life and he infantilized her."

"We're not sleeping together." Penelope said coldly.

"Not anymore." Shane said.

Penelope gasped. No one knew about that. No one, except her and Derek. So that meant Shane had been watching her.

"Who are you?" Shane asked. "Cause the woman I love...she's gone. She's gone because Derek Morgan changed her. A man who doesn't even love her back."

There was nothing Penelope could say. Shane was right, the woman he had loved was gone. And Derek had played a very big part in helping her become the woman she was. And, Shane had hit the nail right on the head. Derek didn't love her back.

CMCMCMCMCMCMCM

He had been the one to suggest it. After she and Kevin had broken up, Derek asked her if she wanted to finally put their dirty talk to good use. They were friends with benefits. It lasted for months. When his cousin was found alive, and they solved the case, they'd spent the night celebrating in a hotel room. Anytime there was any reason to celebrate, they did so under the covers. After JJ and Will's wedding, she thought things were going to change. That he was going to finally want more, but it didn't change.

When Strauss died, she was planning on telling him she loved him. After her funeral was the last time they slept together though, because then Derek started talking about his beautiful neighbor. The one he decided was worth starting a relationship with. He had told her that he was exclusive with Savannah, and so they'd have to keep their fun at talking dirty and no more action. It broke her heart, but she couldn't lose him, so she pretended like it was no big deal.

Now, she was feeling those feelings all over again. How could Shane throw that at her? She knew he was a jerk, but this was just cruel. She wanted to yell and scream, but instead she booked it out of there.

Derek, of course, had heard everything. She knew it. She didn't want to see him, so she avoided going back to where he was located, and instead went back to the office and continued to try and get Shane to work with her. She did so the only way she knew how.

"Come on, take the cheese." She pleaded as Derek entered the room she was set up in.

He asked her what she was doing and she explained how she was baiting Shane. Derek was always impressed with Penelop's tech skills. It was a good thing they were working with her and not against her.

She had Shane where she wanted him. At least she thought she did, but then he played the video. It was an old recording of her talking about how it was useless to follow the law because the system was corrupt. She was embarrassed to see it, and even more mortified that Derek was present for it.

"Calm down." Derek told her when she began to freak out.

"You saw that!" She exclaimed.

Derek began to get her to think rationally. He reminded her that Shane was getting under her skin, but he had a reason for doing so. Penelope needed to play that to her advantage if she wanted to beat Shane. Because Derek knew that Shane didn't care about Russell, he cared about her. Shane had lost her, and that was what Penelope needed to win.

She sat back down and the computer and continued to talk to Shane. She did what Derek said and listened to Shane. She was waiting for the opening that Derek said she'd know when she saw.

#HailtotheKing: Who'd you learn them from? From him?

The Black Queen: You've been following me this whole time?

#HailtotheKing: Yup. You and Supervisory Very Special Agent Derek Morgan. Are you surprised? But really, honey, you chose this guy? You chose a brainless metrosexual action figure who used you for sex?

"That's his opening." Penelope stated.

"Yes it is." Derek agreed. "Now tell me why."

"Because the last time he said he didn't know who you were, but does." Penelope said. "He knows everything."

"He doesn't like that we have a relationship he doesn't get to have anymore." Derek added. "It's driving him crazy."

"Derek, I swear. I told him we're not sleeping together anymore."

"It doesn't matter. His narcissistic brain thinks that we could never go back to being friends."

"So he thinks he can beat me by beating us?"

"So what's your next move, baby girl?" Derek asked.

Black Queen: New game. Two teams. BAU V. Star Chamber. We see who can find the new killer first. But we do it on an equal playing field. You give us the file back...we give you our profile.

#HailtotheKing: When I win...what do I get?

Black Queen: I'll tell Derek the truth. You'll get exactly what you want.

Shane survived, and Penelope was relieved. She knew that Shane had no place in her life, but still, she didn't want him dead. There was a piece of her that would always care for him. So she stood by the stretcher teasing him when she knew he was going to be okay.

"You never looked at me the way you look at him." Shane stated. She tried to play dumb, but he contined. "Come on, Pen. I've known you a long time, and like I said, I've been following for a while now. You look at Derek like he holds the sun and moon in his hands."

"It's not like that." Penelope insisted.

"Don't lie." Shane rolled his eyes. "You two are so obvious. It's a miracle the whole world doesn't know you slept together."

"Shane!" Penelope gasped, shushing him so no one would hear. "Stop it. We are just friends. Anything else ended a long time ago."

"It's not too late." Shane said. "He feels the same way. You can tell."

"Shane I-"

"You still are really strong and tough, Penelope Garcia, so tell him the truth." Shane pushed. "And not because I won, but because you want to."

"Take care of yourself, Shane." She said, kissing his cheek. "Goodbye."

They loaded him up in the ambulance. She watched him before leaving to go see Derek. She was riding back with him, and knew they needed to talk. She just hoped he would go easy on her.

She teased him about him not being the first to call her Baby Girl. The look on his face made her wonder if perhaps Shane was right. Maybe Derek did feel the same way. But, she was too afraid to bring it up. She got in the SUV and turned the discussion toward what a Flarpy Gunderbluff was.

CMCMCMCMCMCMCMCM

Penelope had avoided an actual conversation with Derek. As soon as they were back in Virgina, she hurried to get home. She couldn't face him. Shane's word played in her mind, but she couldn't tell Derek how she was feeling. He was happy with Savannah. And, she was dating Sam, kind of. She liked Sam a lot, but he was no Derek. It was hard to let herself be with Sam when her heart ached for another.

She was supposed to have a dinner date with Sam when they got back, but she'd texted him to cancel. She just couldn't deal with it. All she wanted to do was put on her unicorn pajama pants, crack open some wine, and order some vegetarian chinese food. If she was lucky, she'd be able to find an old cycle of America's Next Top Model to binge watch.

She had only been home for about 45 minutes when there was a knock on the door. She thought it was her takeout. She grabbed her wallet, and opened her door. It wasn't her Chinese food though, it was Derek Morgan.

"We need to talk, Baby Girl." He stated.

Derek didn't wait for her response. He moved past her and entered her apartment. She was too stunned to say anything. She knew eventually Derek would want to talk, but she didn't think it would be so soon. She figured he'd be spending tonight with his girlfriend. Derek always managed to surprise her, though.

"Uhm...okay. Okay, let's uh, let's sit." She stammered.

Derek took a seat on her sofa. He had slept on this very seat before. Not to mention the dozens of movie nights he'd spent here. Never though, had Derek sat on the sofa in Penelope's apartment for anything quite like this. It made her feel uneasy.

"P, I can hear your heart racing from here." Derek said. He held his hand out to her and gently led her to sit next to him. "Breathe, pumpkin."

"Look, Derek, I know this case was weird." Penelope began, taking a deep breath. "It was very personal for me. Shane being near me again, it was really hard. He knew things he shouldn't have and he used them to get to me."

"Baby Girl, I think it was a lot more than that." Derek replied, squeezing her hand. "Shane was jealous of us. And he knew that we'd slept together. I just want to know...was he right?"

"About what?" Penelope asked, pretending not to know what Derek was referring to.

"That you love me." Derek looked into her eyes. She knew if she tried to lie to him, he'd see right through it. Very slowly, and very subtly, she nodded her head. "Damn it."

"I'm sorry!" She cried. "Please, you can't stop being my friend because of this. I've been trying to push this feeling away for a long time. It's hard, but I can get past it. Just, you can't leave me, Derek. You're my best friend in the whole world and-"

"Baby slow down." Derek soothed, pulling her against his chest. "I'm not going anywhere."

Penelope cried against his chest. He placed a gentle kiss to the top of her head and rubbed circles around her back to help calm her down. Now that the feelings were out, she was overwhelmed and couldn't hold back the tears.

"I never wanted you to find out like that." She continued to cry.

"I know, sweetness." Derek said softly. "Baby, look at me, okay?"

She did as he asked. She lifted her head up and looked at her best friend who was staring at her with so much care in his eyes, she could hardly take it. He cupped her chin in his hand.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"Be-Because I knew you didn't want more than just friends with benefits from me." She told him, sniffling. "And then Savannah came along, and you were so happy. I wanted you to be happy, honey. So, I didn't say anything."

"Penelope, I got with Savannah because I thought you didn't want more." Derek said seriously. "Lover, you were the one who always made sure to say that it wasn't more than two friends helping each other out."

"I was trying to protect myself." She admitted. "I didn't think you could ever love me back."

"Well, I do." Derek said. He leaned in and kissed her forehead. "It's always been you, P. Always."

Penelope wasn't sure what to say. She was, obviously, happy that he loved her back. But, things were complicated. Derek and Savannah were getting serious, and Sam was really good to Penelope. They were both in a good place right now.

"So, I broke things off with Savannah." Derek informed her. "I told her that i was sorry, but I was completely and foolishly in love with my Baby Girl. And you know what? She was okay with it. Actually, she said she knew all along, but she was hoping I could fall in love with her. She told me all she wants is for me to be happy, and she knew that was with you."

Penelope gasped. Derek Morgan had not only confessed his love for her, but broke up with his gorgeous, modelesque girlfriend, to be with her. She had not expected that.

"Please, tell me it's not too late for us." Derek pleaded. Penelope smiled.

"It's not too late for us." She told him.

They leaned in, letting their lips come together. She moved closer to him until she was securely in his lap. They continued kissing until Derek realized Penelope's cheeks were getting his cheeks wet. He pulled back.

"What's wrong, sweetheart?" Derek asked, wiping the tears from her face.

"Nothing." She smiled through the tears. "I just can't believe this is happening. I've wanted this for long, but I never let myself imagine that it could actually happen."

"Well, believe it baby, believe it. This is real." Derek assured her.

She leaned back down and continued to kiss him. He ran his hands up the curves on her side that drove him absolutely crazy. Derek could never get enough of her body. He reached for the hem of her shirt, ready to throw it across the room, when there was another knock at her door. Derek groaned.

"Sorry, hunk, that's my dinner." She giggled. "To be continued?"

"Oh, you know it." He winked.

Penelope woke up in complete bliss. She was nestled in a very naked Derek Morgan's arms. They had to get up and go to work, but she wanted to spend a few minutes just enjoying this. In his sleep, he pulled her closer to him. She smiled and nuzzled her face into his neck. She could get used to waking up like this.

"Mmmm, good morning, baby girl." Derek yawned. He pressed a kiss to her hair. "What time is it?"

"It's just after 6:00." Penelope said.

"Perfect!" Derek exclaimed, practically jumping from the bed. Before she could ask what he was doing, he was scooping her into his arms and carrying her toward the bathroom. "We have plenty of time to shower together."

They had discovered right away that they both loved showering together. During their showers, they were intimate together. Not just in a sexual way. When they were sleeping together before, Derek would take his time washing her hair, and cleaning her body. She'd never done that with anyone before. Showers had always meant sex, but Derek made them something she couldn't even decribe. It was no wonder how she'd fallen in love with him.

Derek had sat her down gently on the floor and turned on the shower. Once the temperature was perfect, he stepped in and held his hand out to her. She climbed in beside him, and kissed him under the falling water. Derek reached for her Coconut-Pear scented shampoo and lathering it into her blonde curls. She moaned at the feeling of his hands in her hair.

Once her hair was washed, and both of them had been properly cleaned. Derek took the initiative to have some fun in their shower. He pressed her against the wall, peppering kisses down her neck.

"I went far too long without you, I'm not sure if I will ever make up for those lost months." He said. She held onto his head.

"You're doing one hell of a job trying.' She chuckled.

He grinned and continued to torment her with his teasing. He kissed every inch of her, driving her mad. Finally, she reminded him that they had limited time, or they would be late for work. He groaned, but knew she was right.

"Are you ready baby?" He asked her. She nodded.

He lifted her leg over his hip before connecting them. They both moaned. Derek held her tightly, ensuring that she wouldn't fall. He continued thrusting into her at a quick pace until the both tumbled over the edge.

"That was a great start to the morning." She smiled.

CMCMCMCMCMCMCMCM

The team was not at all surprised when Derek and Penelope told them that they were together. JJ had suspected something was up for a while, and Hotch and Rossi had been preparing for this for some time. Blake congratulated them, and Reid was happy that he had accurately predicted when they would finally get together.

A few weeks after they got together, the couple went to see Derek's family in Chicago. His mother was ecstatic to find out that the two of them had finally come to their senses. She teased them about when they would finally get married and give her some grandbabies. The pair realized they really didn't want to wait anymore.

The team was not impressed to find out that Derek and Penelope eloped without them there, but were quickly over it when the Morgans invited them to a huge reception party. Even Emily flew in for it. She wouldn't have missed it for the world.

It was an easy transition. They still talked dirty on the phone, playfully bantered, and made everyone give them questioning looks. But it was better being together. They were both so happy, and everyone could see it.

Penelope found out she was pregnant three months after they got married. She was shocked, because they had been careful. She was still on birth control, because they didn't want to rush things. But a bout of the flu and a few missed days resulted in the best surprise of all. They were overjoyed by their miracles. Yes. Miracles. Twins.

Everyone in the BAU was so excited when they announced that their one miracle baby was actually two. It was unexpected, but not any less amazing. They spent the time before the babies were born preparing for their arrival.

When Penelope went into labor, Derek was on a case in Boston. He flew back immediately, and just barely made it in time for the birth of his children. She was relieved when he'd gotten their, because she was four weeks early, and was absolutely terrified.

But, the twins were both born healthy, and with big sets of lungs. Jacob Derek Morgan was the older twin by seven and a half minutes. He would spend the rest of his life being the more adventurous of the twins. He was like his father, a little stubborn sometimes, but brave. He would do anything for his family, just like his dad. Regina Grace Morgan was much more reserved. She let her brother test out situations, and followed after. But she was smart as a whip, and wasn't afraid to speak her mind.

Jake and Regina were the loves of Derek and Penelope's lives. They spoiled their children endlessly, and were so thankful for their family. Without the resurfacing of the Black Queen, they might never have had this life. So, that's why they named their daughter the italian name for Queen.

"I can't believe we're parents of six year olds." Derek groaned. They had just celebrated the twins' birthday with a huge party. Derek and Penelope were exhausted, but happy that their little ones had had such a great day.

"I know." Penelope smiled, a little bittersweet. "Our kids are growing up."

"Regina is just like you." Derek smiled. "My original baby girl, and my little baby girl."

"Well, Jake takes after his father." Penelope chuckled. "He told me yesterday that he wants to be a profiler and hunt, and this is an exact quote, 'son of a bitch psychopaths like daddy.'" Derek let out a laugh. "I wonder who he heard that from."

"Regina told Jake the other day that if he didn't leave her alone to read she'd erase all of the game data on his tablet and play-station." Derek said. "Sound familiar."

"Well, we can't deny them, that's for sure." Penelope smiled.

Derek pulled his wife against his side. She cuddled up to him. These were the moments that they loved the most. Quiet times when they could just enjoy life. They had a great family, and they were so glad that seven and a half years ago, they'd finally admitted their feelings to each other.

"I love you forever, my baby girl." Derek told her.

"And I love you, my Flarpy Blundergaff."

A/N Hey all! Finally wrote this chapter, and honestly I am considering a longer piece about this episode, but I haven't committed yet! Let me know what you think. I'll work on the next chapter soon :)
