Chapter 13: The Flying Serpent of Darkness

The Toonateers entered the Sleeping Beauty Museum's entrance through the Projector of the 1959 movie Sleeping Beauty.

"Oh, I love the museum," Gus fantasying.

"Are you sure this isn't obsessive? It looks like you cornered the entire Sleeping Beauty Market," said Turpley.

"We, Gremlins, have our taste in entertainment."

"Now, if I were a kidnapped Disney Princess, where would I be in my castle being controlled by the enemy?" Mickey said.

"Oh, wait—the tower of Princess Aurora at the grand courtyard. There's a statue standing on its balcony. Her mirror prison could be there."

As the Toonateers ran, Oswald said, "I hope you're right, Gus. What if those Generals and Small Pete could be there too?"

"They have to be, honeybunny. Let's hope this time we can snatch that Small Pete for integration. We can get more information about where the Princesses are and the Pete Gang's secret hideout," Ortensia said.

"And maybe we can save Prescott," said Gus.

"And figure out how they can abduct the Princesses, how they'll make a hole in the sky to escape and able to create Heart Pendants made from the essences of Toons who already have Hearts."

"These questions are making my head hurt," said Tintley.

"Same here. I want to drink some Thinner after this rescue," said Turpley.

When they reach the courtyard, they find Aurora's mirror prison on the balcony. She looked down to see the Toonateers and said, "Mickey Mouse? It's good to see any face. You have to get me out of here. This prison is making me dizzy."

"Don't worry, Aurora. We're going to free you," said Mickey.

"Not…quite," said BlotToon Mickey's voice.

The Toonateers see the three Generals on the roof of the tower. BlotToon Mickey is spinning the gift on his finger like a basketball. BlotToon Oswald is eating carrots in a hotdog bun with mustard. BlotToon Ortensia fans herself with her green fan.

"You three. Aren't you tired from not fighting your own battles?!" Mickey yelled.

"Toonateers…fun toys…Must be played…"

"I think he is saying he sees us as toys," said Tintley.

"I'm nobody's toy. And neither is my wife and brother!" Oswald shouted.

Then Small Pete in Princess Aurora's outfit said with a popped Pete balloon on another tower and tangled in it, "Um, hello? Aren't you Generals going to help me lose?"

Oswald shushed him while BlotToon Mickey said, "Soon…But first…3rd Lieutenant, come!"

BlotToons then appear in other balconies and cheer once BlotToon Maleficent comes out from hiding in the shadows of the Tower of Princess Aurora.

"BlotToon Maleficent, I should've guessed. What's next? Her turning into her dragon form?" said Mickey.

"Spoiler Sport…EAT THEM ALIVE!" BlotToon Mickey commanded before swallowing the present again.

BlotToon Oswald rings the battle bell while BlotToon Ortensia continues to fan herself. BlotToon Maleficent then transforms into the real Maleficent's Dragon form.

"Even I, a Sleeping Beauty fan, can tell this will get dangerous," Gus commented.

BlotToon Maleficent Dragon breathes fires of Thinner at the Toonateers, but they dodge it instantly.

"She's firing Thinner flames," Ortensia said.

"Thinner flames! They sound yummy," said Turpley.

"Turpley, do you eat them?" Oswald asks.

"They taste like cinnamon toast with a hint of apple."

"You think you can handle the flames for us?"

"Eh, I'm hungry anyway."

When the boss fires again, Turpley open his mouth to vacuum up the flames.

"Yeah, Turpley!" Tintley cheered.

But when he begins to boast up slowly, the Toonateers, the BlotToons, the three Generals, and Small Pete grow silent and surprised.

"Um, Turpley?" Mickey said when Turpley became the size of a balloon.

But Turpley continues to eat while he grows more extensive, like a parade float balloon.

"Uh, Turpley? You can stop now," Oswald was concerned.

But when Turpley grows blimp size, Ortensia becomes worried and says, "You can take a break if you want to, Turpley!"

"If this keeps going, he's gonna explode," said Gus.

"Maleficent! Stop!" BlotToon Mickey command.

When she stopped blowing fire, everyone was eye-wide to see him so big to cover up the entire Museum with his shadow while he floated above.

"It's a good thing BlotToon Mickey stopped her," Small Pete said.

But then Turpley let out a huge burp to let out the flames he swallowed.

"Incoming!" said Tintley while making Paint Shield to protect her team.

Quickly, the three Generals flip the roof they're standing on to go inside. The flames burned BlotToon Maleficent and the BlotToon crowd hard that it freed the Guardians within their hearts and made the boss's spinning wheel-shaped heart go from red to black. But to Small Pete, the flames burned him free from his ropes and burned away his Princess Aurora outfit to show his usual outfit.

"Aw, and that was my favorite one," Small Pete whined.

When Turpley turns back to his average size, he falls before Mickey can catch him in his hands.

"Turpley, are you okay?" Mickey asks.

"I think I need an antiacid," said Turpley, holding his belly and cheeks puffed up.

"Here you go," said Gus, holding onto his hand.

"Thanks, Gus."

"You just said my name."

"It takes a long time to get on my good side."

After he took and ate the antiacid, a Guardian swarm made Aurora's prison come before the Toonateers, so they could use their powers to free her. Upon doing so, she is seen asleep on the floor with her mirror prison gone.

"Our 3rd Disney Princess saved, which leaves ten more to go," said Mickey, picking up Aurora.

"Hey! Small Pete is getting away!" Oswald caught Small Pete tiptoeing away.

But before he can get away, the 53 Gremlins, excluding Gus and Prescott, showed to block his way with arms crossed and fury eyes.

"Oh, Gremlins. My buddies and neighbors. How's it hanging?" Small Pete smiled.

"GET 'EM!" Jamface shouted.

As the Gremlins charged at him, they beat him up in a fight cloud. The Toonateers were puzzled by what they were seeing.

"Wow, Gus. I had no idea your people could be brutal," Mickey commented.

"Neither have I known about it," Gus added.

"Hahahaha! You Gremlins are a riot. But Mickey is still the main course of entertainment," Turpley laughed.

"Why must everyone act so violently in certain circumstances?" Tintley feels ashamed.

"It's a Toon thing to be rough and tough with a hint of insanity," said Oswald.

"Oswald," Ortensia, her burrow furrowed.

"Okay, not at all times."

"That's what I thought."

But as the Toonateers continue to watch the brawl, the three Generals sneak away to the back entrance while BlotToon Oswald holds BlotToon Maleficent's Heart. When they got out, Ortensia opened the suitcase so that he could put it in its spinning wheel place.

After closing it, BlotToon Mickey said, "So many Hearts… So much time… So timeless fun…."

BlotToon Oswald then coughed before saying, "Eh…Eh, eh…Evolution…happening…to…us."
