Chapter 15: Catch it Down in Bog Easy
The Toonateers came out of the Projector to enter Bog Easy. They find all of its inhabitants are doing their everyday lives.
"Dang, these people are chill. Except for that one," said Turpley, seeing Animatronic Donald being angry for being spoked by Ghost Ian.
"It was for his own good to live here since he has anger issues," said Ortensia.
"Hmm. Good point," Mickey said.
"Mickey, Oswald, Ortensia, and Gus, welcome to Bog Easy," said Animatronic Donald, seeing the Toonateers.
"Hey, what about Tintley and me?" said Turpley.
"Oh, yeah. You two as well. What brings you all here?"
"Donald, we need to get the Jug Pump. Another Disney Princess might be there," said Gus.
"I could offer to use my steamboat to help, but it's stuck in the repairment shack to prepare for the next date I have with Daisy. Perhaps the riverboat they lent me could help out. Follow me."
As the Toonateers follow Donald to the docks, Mickey comments, "Gosh, this place has evolved since the last time I've been here."
"Wasteland has grown widespread throughout the 23 years, making it more habitable for the inhabitants, plus lots of elbow room to boot. Possibly big enough for even the entire Disney characters ever created, like from movies and tv shows to live here," Oswald answered.
"Wow. You must've found a lot of lands."
"Yeah. Most of them came out from the seas. But there are still more to find."
"Here we are, folks," said Donald.
The Toonateers were surprised to see a riverboat that looks Princess and the Frog: Tiana's Riverboat Jubilee.
"They let you rent this?" Ortensia asks.
"I was as surprised as you," Animatronic Donald continued. "But the renting fee was very cheap on this."
"Um, who allowed you to rent this?"
"Ian. Why do you ask?"
The Toonateers see Ghosts and some costume-wearing Spatters on board while waving at them.
"No reason," Ortensia added.
"But what about the others on board?" Oswald said.
"I work as one of the transportation drivers," Animatronic Donald answered.
"Oh, yeah. I keep forgetting that."
After Donald whistled, the plank went down so the Toonateers and Animatronic Donald could board it.
"Anchors away! Get to plain sailing to Jud Pump!" Animatronic Donald called out.
"What did he say?" Tintley curious.
"It's called Sailor Talk, Tintley," Mickey answered.
"Everything is copper-bottomed, Donald!" Ghost Ian called out.
"Ian, make sure we are on the right track to our destination," Oswald said.
"You got it, Boss."
When the riverboat sets sail down the river bayou, the Toonateers see lushes of nature and New Orleans-styled houses and buildings.
"It will take a while to reach our location. So, in joy the ride," said Animatronic Donald.
But when he notices Mickey and Oswald are gone, Ortensia says, "They just left to go see the driver of the boat."
"Wah?"
Mickey and Oswald are happily running and laughing like little children before they find the stairs leading to the wheel. When they reach it, they find a Splatter dressed like Mickey in Steamboat Wheel.
"Slightly different from Steamboat Willie," Mickey commented.
The Spatter driver then moved the two to try the wheel.
"Really? Are you sure?" Mickey said.
After it nodded, Mickey and Oswald got giddy before going to the wheel. They held each other's hands while the other hand had the wheel. Together, the half-brothers begin to whistle the whistle part in Steamboat Willie. When their team and Animatronic Donald arrived were touched to see the pair having fun. But Tintley and Turpley are more focused on Mickey and Oswald holding hands. They start to go through another memory. They are flying up on Mickeyjunk Mountain without the Mickey junk, followed by the Guardians. Behind them, their clans walk with Mother Angel and Papa Devi L leading them.
"It was so nice of Tintley to suggest this picnic between our tribes," Mother Angel said.
"I'm glad to hear that from you, Angel," said Papa Devi L.
"Mother Angel! We've reached the peak," Tintley called out.
Once at the peak, the tribes begin to set up the picnic and start it.
"Hey, Tintley! Check out the view! It's killer," said Turpley, waving her over.
Tintley flies over for the two to see the Wasteland, the Pre-Thinner Disaster map from the Japanese Epic Mickey Website. Unlike concept art, it contains all the worlds that ended up in the game and none that didn't.
"This place is even more beautiful than from our home underground," said Tintley.
"Which means more open space for exploring and adventuring. I want to see it all," said Turpley.
"Can I join you?"
"Sure. It won't be fun if I'm alone."
Tintley giggled while taking Turpley by the hand with care. Surprised, he smiled it off while he and Tintley took in the view. Mother Angel and Papa Devi L watched them drink from a pineapple together. They smiled to see their Guardian Fairies getting along. But the moment stopped when everyone heard a lady scream.
"What was that?" Papa Devi L asks.
"Papa and Mother Angel, look at that!" Turpley yelled.
The caretakers go over to the Guardian Fairies. They all see Oswald the Lucky Rabbit falling from the sky.
"Oh, dear! Mother, should we do something?!" said Tintley.
But then Oswald begins to glide with his ears, so Mother Angel says, "He's fine, but where did he come from?"
The memory ended when Mickey started to sing, "Here in Wasteland, there's a city [Mickey and Oswald move together as he sang.]
That's filled with the beauty of land-sea [The Toonateers spot some frogs on toadstools while fishes swim by them.]
The only transportations are boats and ferries [The riverboat sails past some local fishermen Toons who wave at it.]
It's a place where the fun last eternity." [Everyone on the boat waves back before the Ghosts takes out jazz instruments and plays along to the song.]
Oswald: They got music that's always jazzy [Mickey and Oswald let the Spatter driver take back the wheel, so they go to the deck.]
Cultural and class that's all through the rage [The half-brothers, soon with hands on their hips and smiled, came over to the Ghost Jazz band.]
The music here can make you snazzy [Oswald takes out two matching red and blue vests, so he and Mickey can put them on.]
When you're here, you feel like a star on stage [He bearhugs Mickey before spinning around while the spotlight shines down on them.]
Grab your family and all of your friends [He stops spinning to bring in Ortensia, Gus, Tintley, and Turpley for a group hug.
Mickey: Let's all go to where the party never ends [Then Mickey paints in lawn chairs just for thepropert sizes of the Toonateers.]
Mickey and Oswald: You'll have the most entrain guarantee [Mickey and Oswald rip off their vests to hop on their lawn chairs.]
Catch it down in Bog Easy [They cross their feet and arms behind their backs as the rest of their team gets on their chairs.]
But when ink gets onto the Toonateers, they scream in disgust.
"Gross! My face has been vandalized," Ortensia cleaning her face off.
"It's on my eyes! My eyes," Oswald rubbed his eyes.
When the ink comes off their faces, everyone on the riverboat sees the three Generals on a speedboat. BlotToon Oswald is on the wheel while BlotToon Mickey is standing up to laugh and point at the Toonateers' dismay as BlotToon Ortensia is sitting and holding her green fan to her mouth so she can laugh along.
"Those three again! Full steam ahead, and don't let them out of your sight!" Mickey yelled.
"You heard the mouse! Get that engine firing up!" Animatronic Donald shouted.
Soon, the riverboat begins to follow the Generals' speedboat at the same speed. But everyone on the riverboat held onto it to not fall out.
"Maybe I should've been more specific," said Mickey.
But the Generals' speedboat enters a fog, and Oswald yells, "Stop! Stop! Stop!"
"STOP!" Animatronic Donald quacked.
Quickly the riverboat stopped, but Animatronic Donald fell into the sea.
"Donald!" said the Three Toonateers in concern.
But then he floats back up, thanks to Tints. But he was thrown roughly onto the deck, making him angry.
"It's a good thing I called the Tints for help, or he would've short-circuited in the sea," said Tintley.
"But what about those three Generals? We can't find them through the fog," said Turpley.
"Not if we Thinner out the fog. Will you help me out, Turpley?" Mickey cracked his fingers.
"Oh, yeah! Let's take some action, Mickey!"
Together, the two use Thinner to make the fog disappear and reveal the Jug Pump. It is an island that combines Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. However, at its peak is a giant white gallon jug labeled "Mineral-rich Ocean water," as the purifying water falls from it like a waterfall.
Mickey, Tintley, and Turpley were starstruck at the sight of it while Gus said, "Welcome to Jug Pump, the best 5 Star waterpark mountain hot spring spa in all of Wasteland. Nobody can get out there without satisfaction."
"No wonder Oswald and Ortensia had their honeymoon there. Maybe I can take Minnie here," Mickey said.
"Maybe you should put a ring on her finger," Oswald teased.
"Ozzie-san!"
"Mickey, you've been dating her for 95 years. When will you grow up, get married and have kids? I want some nephews and nieces and my Bunny Children to have some new playmates."
"I-I had a bad dream about having kids with her. Plus, Morty and Ferdie got that covered."
"Oh, yeah, those twin troublemakers. My younger half-sister and your older sister, Felicity, got that covered. But still, you need to do it someday. You can't hold back forever."
"Tell that to the Disney High-ups."
"Shouldn't we go after the three Generals?" Ortensia pointed out the three Generals going into Jug Pump.
"Why didn't you say something? Donald, take us in, quick!"
"Aye-aye! Park near the island," said Animatronic Donald as the riverboat got close to the island's port.
When parked, the Toonateers rushed onto the island to follow the three Generals.
"Go get 'em, Boss!" Ghost Ian encouraged.
"Wack 'em! WACK 'EM!" Donald added.
"Maybe you and Daisy should come to Jug Pump."
"Perhaps you're right. The next big date here."
