Chapter 23: Adventure in Venterland
The Toonateers and Jasmine come out of the D.E.C. to Dark Beauty Castle. The other five Princesses soon arrived to welcome Jasmine back with open arms.
"I don't even have to guess which Disney Princess we have to save next. We need to go after Pocahontas," said Mickey.
"Jasmine, do you remember anything of what the Petes have done?" Ortensia asks.
She responds, "I did recall seeing them doing brain surgeries on their inky army. That poor Gremlin they are holding captive is so sad, and he smelled like he hasn't had a shower in 23 years."
"Prescott!" Gus concerned.
"That's a Pete, alright. They never show care for their prisoners unless they are women," said Oswald.
"So care me and Disney Princesses got?! What kind of a man would throw a woman into a mirror prison?!" Jasmine complains.
"Oh, there she goes again. Being a total complainer," Snow White shook her head.
"Jasmine, please. Don't complain in front of Mickey and the others," said Cinderella.
"My afternoon nap will be ruined if she continues to nag," said Aurora, rubbing her eyes.
"I'll ignore her," said Ariel, putting on her seashell headphones.
"Wait, where's Belle?" Mickey asks.
"Coming through. I'm going back to the Princess Suite," said Belle, walking past everyone with a tall stack of books.
Everyone but the other Princess and Mickey were jaw dropped by this before he said, "Why am I not surprised? Right, ladies?"
"Yep," the other Princesses agreed.
"She cornered the entire library of the Castle," Oswald commented.
Jamface showed up and said, "Greetings, Toonateers. You got to summon a TV. The Mad Doctor is at Ventureland and he's doing a news update."
When Mickey summons a TV, the DNN shows up with Animatronic Daisy standing near the Mad Doctor.
She then said, "This is Daisy Duck reporting live at Ventureland. The Mad Doctor's Beetleworks defeated the BlotToons."
But the Mad Doctor grabbed the microphone and sang, "Toonateers, if you are watching this, [He looks straight at the camera while Turpley covers his ears in annoyance.]
We've now gotten back Ventureland. [Daisy then snatches back the microphone in dissatisfaction.]
Mickey, your Paintbrush is finally fixed [But he then grabs the microphone so she and he can do a tug of war on it.]
And the next Disney Princess is at Neverland." [They got so caught up that they ran into the camera and made it static.]
"Haha! Who knew TV could be entraining?" said Tintley.
"I wonder if Amos and Andy are on?" Turpley was curious.
"Neverland has lived?!" Oswald and Ortensia said in shock.
"You got Neverland here?" Mickey asks.
"Neverland is where all Sketches are made. Plus, it's popular for its ability to create any season. They got even got everything a child needs. Ortensia and I would send the Bunny Children there whenever we need a break or vacation," said Oswald.
"To the Projector for Ventureland," said Ortensia, leading the way.
"Good luck on getting Pocahontas. I want to see my show," said Ariel, putting on an ocean show.
"When you're done, Ariel, I want to put on my apple marathon," said Snow White.
"I got a shoe show in a few hours, too," said Cinderella.
At Ventureland, the Mad Doctor and Animatronic Daisy are still fighting over the microphone. The Toonateers show up from coming out the Projector.
"It's mine! You can't keep it, Doc," said Animatronic Daisy.
"But I didn't finish my report," said the Mad Doctor.
"There's no need, Doc. We're here," said Mickey.
When the Mad Doctor lets go of the microphone in joy but cause Animatronic Daisy to fall backward while he says, "Aw, the Toonateers, I'm glad you made it. Mickey, I like to introduce you to your new and improved Paintbrush."
He takes out a small case to show the Paintbrush, but the handle has been rainbow crystalized, the ferrule is golden and has Mickey's symbol and his heart symbol in red, and the head is the color of the neutral Guardian Pool.
"Ooh," said everyone, amazed.
"It's shiny," Tintley commented.
"It's sparkly," Turpley commented.
"Incredible. It looks like the Paintbrush went through some evolution," said Gus.
"You could say that, Gus," Mad Doctor continued. "When I got the Paint Crystal and Thinner Crystal close to the Brush, they combined themselves to it, which made it repair itself. I tried to test it, but it seems to repel anyone not associated with Paint and Thinner."
But when Paintbrush floated by itself as Tintley and Turpley hid behind Mickey for protection.
"What's it doing?" Ortensia said while Oswald protected her.
It then floats before Mickey, and his eyes are dazzled in wonder. He slows and reaches for it. But upon touching it, his hands glow in blue and green while his heart glows red and his eyes white as the wind surrounds him like a tornado.
"Mickers!" Oswald shouted in worry.
Mickey soon sees visions of Mother Angel and Papa Devi L fighting off the Blot, defeating it, Tintley and Turpley are ugly crying, and Yen Sid's mirror.
But during the visions, he can faintly hear Mother Angel and Papa Devi L saying, "Only Disney…Save us…Tintley and Turpley…Power…"
He soon snaps out of it to witness the remains of the Blot coming out from his body to go into the Paintbrush, and it exterminates it. When everything stops, all their fur and hair fizzed or puffed up from the ordeal. They all have shocked faces as Mickey falls to sit.
"Woah…That intense," said Mickey, as everyone fixed their fur and hair by shaking.
"Mickey, are you okay?! What the heck was that?!" Oswald grabs Mickey's shoulders in worry.
"I had no idea. But did see some visions. Something about the Blot, Mother Angel, Papa Devi L, Tintley and Turpley crying, and Yen Sid's mirror."
"What? Me crying?! That's rich! Besides, I'll murder if someone made Tintley cry," said Turpley in disbelief.
"Aw, you care," said Tintley, hugging him, which embarrassed him.
"In a malicious way, if you can say," Animatronic Daisy commented.
"Anyway, should we be off to go save Pocahontas?" said Ortensia while Oswald helped his half-younger brother up.
"Yes, but how do we get to Neverland? The Projector to it hasn't been working for years," said Oswald.
"Don't you have to enter the second star to the right and straight on 'till morning to get there?" Mickey asks.
Everyone looked at him, confused, and he continued, "What? Didn't you watch the movie Peter Pan in 1953? Neverland is supposed to be where kids never grow up, but they forget all they have in the past. So sad and a price to pay never to grow up."
"I have to rethink Neverland's purpose for a Sketch Factory and sending the Bunny Children there," said Oswald.
"Excuse me," Mr. Smee showing up. "I believe there is another way to get there. The Pirates and I used an old catapult to reach Neverland that will launch to the star."
"And you made that because?"
"Sometimes, it's hard to carry things for Neverland through the Projectors."
"Once Pocahontas is free from Neverland, we'll make a D.E.C."
"Wait…Oswald, are you suggesting we use the catapult to get there?" Ortensia questioned.
"It's our only option. Besides, Mickey said to get there is through a star. Is it some gateway, Mickers?"
"You got it, Ozzie-san," Mickey responds.
"I'll take your talking as yes. Bring out the catapult, boys!" said Mr. Smee.
The Pirates then push the catapult that looks like the one in Dark Beauty Castle. The Three Toonateers and Gus feel uncomfortable, while Tintley is curious and Turpley is excited.
"Woah! That looks cool! I call the first seat," Turpley said before sitting on it.
"So, this is a catapult? It doesn't seem that bad," said Tintley, sitting next to Turpley.
"I appreciate Turpley's courage but I'm so worried about Tintley's innocence," said Mickey, as he, his half-brother, and his half-sister-in-law sat down.
Gus tried to scoot away, but Oswald pulled him down to sit and said, "Oh no, you don't, Gremlin! You sit!"
"Are you sure about this, Mr. Smee? Is it safe?" Gus asks as Mr. Smee prepares the aim towards the second star to the right and straight on 'till morning.
"Of course. All things land in the right place. On the bright side, you Six will be the first Toons to take it," he responds with a smile.
"Wait, what?!" said the three Toonateers and Gus.
"Too late. Goodbye and good luck."
When he pulls the trigger, the Toonateers launch into the star as they scream.
"They'll land safely, right?" Animatronic Daisy is concerned.
"They got Mickey Mouse and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit with them," said Mr. Smee before he left with his crew.
"May the magic of Wasteland guide and protect them."
