Loonatics: United
The Wrath of Tenebrous
Episode 135: Feelings
Ace and Lexi walked under the cover of the trees, taking each other's hands. "It's been quite a journey, huh?" Ace said.
"And you say it." Lexi replied while shaking her head. "This guy is beyond evil, beyond…anyone we've fought before."
"Yes. But I'm not talking about, well, this situation. Not precisely." Ace said. "We've been through a lot of things together, it's feels we've been a…family since the very beginning." He looked into her eyes. "I'm grateful."
Lexi smiled at him. "Me too, Ace." She embraced him, resting her head on his chest. "What would I do without you?"
"Oh, Lex." Ace kissed her head gently. "I'm the one who would be completely lost and useless if we weren't together." He caressed her hair slowly. "You're always there for me, you comfort me and make me feel better every time I need it." Ace kissed her head again.
Lexi looked into his eyes then started to kiss him, wrapping her arms around his head, bringing herself down, making him fall on his back. Lexi and Ace chuckled as she laid on top of him. "I'm here for you." She caressed his cheeks. "I just wanna love you." Lexi kissed him.
Ace sighed with bliss, blushing while getting lost in the beauty of her eyes. "And you do a great job." They both shared a chuckle. "I…I'm blessed, Lexi, you know?" He stroked her face lovingly. "I'm blessed with you."
Lexi kissed his nose. "My baby." They began to kiss again, entering a moment of true love and a burning affection.
Tech, Slam, Vale and Randy were walking around the lake, glaring at its clear blueness. "It's beautiful." Tech smiled at what he was seeing.
"Acmetropolis is way ahead of this, right?" Vale said while chuckling and shaking his head. "I could get accustomed."
"Yeah, me too." Tech glared down for a bit. "But home is home. It's…chaotic, corrupt." He sighed and glared upwards. "But home, nevertheless."
Slam glared at Randy, noticing he looked worried. He let out a snarl, asking him if he was alright.
Randy gasped and looked at Slam briefly, then glared down again while rubbing his arm. "Yeah, it's just…" He shook his head. "Nothing, I'm fine."
"You sure about that?" Vale inquired.
Randy delayed to answer. "What if we lose?" He looked at Tech. "Will there be a home to come back?"
"Oh, kid." Tech chuckled briefly. "I've had the same thought several times." He winked at him. "Don't worry, we'll kick that guy's tail."
"Yes but…what if we don't?" Randy insisted. "What's gonna happen next?"
"Kid, trust me, we've dealt with worst stuff than Alfons." Tech wasn't sure about his statement, but he really wanted to ease up the mind of Randy. He approached him. "Hey." Tech put a hand on his shoulder. "We got this. That's why we joined forces, remember? Alfons and his…army, they are no match for us. We'll stop them, and we'll return home safe and sound." Tech looked into his eyes with a glare of conviction. "Got it?
Randy thought for a moment, then he glared at Tech and nodded at him with a smirk. "Yeah."
"Alright, then." Tech patted his back.
Akinyi laid on the bed while glaring into the ceiling. "So, how's your family?"
Edison was laying on his quilt over the floor, also looking at the ceiling. "Well…" He thought for a moment. "They did their best, I guess." He sighed. "I left my house when I was around fifteen or something."
"Why did you leave?" Akinyi inquired.
Edison let out a brief, weak chuckle. "It's…" He managed to fight the lump in his throat. Edison sighed. "…it's the same question I ask myself everyday."
"Oh." Akinyi expressed with pity for her comrade. "Do you know if they are, uhm..?"
"Alive?" Edison nodded slightly while glaring away. "Yes."
"Why don't you visit them?" Akinyi proposed. "When this is all over."
Edison sighed. "They will never forgive me."
"How do you know?" Akinyi inquired.
Edison shook his head. "I left them. I didn't leave a note or anything. I just left, and…how could I just…" A tear escaped from his eye. "…go there and say 'Hey, your son is back, the one that…'" He sobbed. "…that left you to…to become a mercenary…'" Edison's voice was broken. "Kill for money." Edison began to cry. "Kill good and bad people, it was…" He sobbed. "It was the same for us, it didn't matter." Edison cleaned a tear off his face. "They were just…numbers." He covered his face with his hand. "The first…job, that one was hard. I'll never forget the face of that man. Never."
Akinyi straightened, looking at her comrade with an empathetic gaze, letting him take out all of those memories
"I had nightmares for years." Edison sobbed. "But job by job, kill by kill, I just got accustomed to it." He glared into Akinyi's eyes. "I even…" The tears formed in the corner of his eye. "I liked it, Aki." Edison glanced down with shame, placing a hand on his chest. "I was good at it too." He focused his gaze on the falling tears that came from his eyes and reached the floor. "How will I look at them?" Edison shook his head.
Akinyi lowered her gaze. "You could try." She rubbed her arm. "You still have chance, I…I don't."
Edison looked back at her. "Why?"
Akinyi shook her head. "It's painful to even remember. To think about them. I'd prefer to never see their faces ever again."
Edison raised an eyebrow. "What did they do?"
Akinyi stood silent for a moment. "Things that…" A tear traveled over her fur as her voice started to break. "…that a little girl should never go through or…" She covered her eyes with her hand while sobbing. "…or even think of." She began to cry.
Edison looked at her with great pity, he got onto his feet and approached her, sitting down by her side. He surrounded her shoulders with his arm, Akinyi kept sobbing, she embraced Edison while resting her head on his chest. He stroked her back gently while nuzzling her head with comfort.
Duck and Rev walked on the riverside, exploring and looking around them. "I miss her so much you know? My Rebecca." Rev said.
"I feel ya, man. I just wanna kiss my girl right now, I like to kiss her." Duck chuckled slightly.
"Who wouldn't like to kiss his girl?" Rev chuckled as well. "That would be extremely odd."
"Uhm, what if she has a bad breath?" Duck inquired.
"I…I guess the guy would just kinda deal with it?" Rev answered.
Duck chuckled. "I can't stand bad breaths, man." He sighed. "I love everything of her, her laugh, her face, the dumb jokes she tells."
"Oh, same. I really like how it looks like she is always wearing a mask, as if she was a, uhm, burglar…you get the irony? Cuz she is a cop and all?" Rev raised an eyebrow while looking at Duck.
"Yep, I get it man." Duck replied and let out a sigh. "This guy has been such a pain in the tail." He shook his head. "I just wanna go home, but...not knowing he´s still at large."
"Alfons?" Rev inquired.
"No, Tom Le Pew, yeah, Alfons." Duck responded.
"Let's hope not for long." Rev said.
"Yeah, let's hope." Duck replied.
