Chapter 24: Seasonal Shambles at Neverland

The three Toonateers and Gus screamed in terror while Tintley and Turpley happy shouts.

"This is great!" Turpley yelled.

"Oh, I'm so happy for you," Oswald said sarcastically.

"Hey, I see an island," said Tintley, seeing Neverland.

"It's Neverland," Ortensia said before the Toonateers crashed through the roof of what looks like the Mission Tortilla Factory.

Where they landed, each of them landed in a different pile. Mickey ends up in the Watch pile with a clock spring curled around his nose. Oswald comes out of the TV pile with his head suck in a TV. Ortensia landed in the Anvil pile and came out unharmed. Gus came out from the Fairy pile while wings were on his mouth and mustache.

"As if we can get a proper landing," said Mickey, walking out of the pile and trying to pull the spring off his nose.

After spitting out the wings and wiping them off, Gus said, "Wait a minute, Ortensia. How come you look okay?"

"I don't know," she shrugged.

"Gah! Get this TV off of me! I always wanted to be back on TV, but this ridiculous," Oswald tried to pull it off while he walked.

"Woah there, honeybunny. I'll get it off."

As Ortensia tries to pull the TV off her husband, Mickey finally gets the spring off before saying, "Wait! Where's Tintley and Turpley? Didn't they land with us?"

"Over here, Mickey," Tintley came out of a Balloon pile.

"Here I am," Turpley pokes his head out of a Firework pile.

"Balloons and Fireworks?" Mickey asks.

"We tried to make Balloon Sketches and Fireworks Sketches, but we didn't get a chance since the Thinner Disaster," Gus answered.

After Ortensia gets the TV off of Oswald, he says, "I can breathe. Thanks, Kitten."

"So, you use actual items to make Sketches that Mickey uses?" Turpley asks.

As the Toonateers walked around, Gus answered, "Correct. We would load them onto a convert belt that will go towards a Printing Press, which squishes them onto the paper. And after a quick cooling process, they become the Sketches we use today."

"But the Fairy Sketches are what I was curious about. Where did you get the wings to make them?" Tintley suspicious.

"Fairies tend to shed their wings every four weeks, so we collect them for the making."

"So you do get some Fairies," said Mickey.

"Well, the shed wings would fall from the sky," said Oswald.

"Oh, yeah. It's still strange that anything from the Cartoon World and the Real World would fall into Wasteland."

When they reach the door to go outside, Ortensia says, "Okay, everyone. It's time to save-"

But when she opens the door, a tremendous blizzard comes in to cover them all with snow, and she closes up to continue, "-Pocahontas?!"

"I don't recall Neverland being that cold and having so much snow," said Mickey before they all shook off the snow.

"Well, I'm out. I ain't going out there to turn into a Turp-sicle!" said Turpley.

"I got some cloth here. If only we had some sewing equipment, we could make some sweaters," said Gus, taking out the cloth from his pouch.

Mickey's Paintbrush begins to glow, so he takes it out for everyone to witness to make Paint flow out of it. It then grabs the cloth Gus got out of hand, magically made sweaters in everyone's size and color.

"Wow. The Paintbrush made sweaters for us," said Tintley, as the magic from the Paintbrush put the sweaters on the Toonateers.

"Sometimes, I wonder if the Paintbrush has a mind of its own," said Mickey, putting it back on his back.

"Technically, Mickers, it is Yen Sid's," said Oswald.

"Yeah. I wonder how I'll explain to him that it's been upgraded."

"I'm sure he'll understand. Let's get back to work," said Ortensia, opening the door.

With the sweaters' warmth, they quickly pass the snowy wind.

"Impressive. It's cold in Neverland, but I still feel so warm," said Gus.

The Toonateers stop in place and notice something is very wrong. They find new flowers blossoming, colored leaves falling off trees, and the sun shining like summer.

"There's something afoot here. Spring flowers, Fall leaves, Summer sun, and Winter snow?! The seasons here are out of control!" Oswald exclaimed.

"That means the Climate Crystal has gone haywire," said Ortensia.

"Climate Crystal?" Mickey and the Guardian Fairies titled their heads in curiosity.

"Neverland always has the craziest weather that is life-threatening. So, to keep it in check, we set up a Crystal on its tallest peak. I wonder how long this was happening?"

Snowballs were soon thrown at the Toonateers' faces, for Mickey yelled, "Hey! Who threw that?!"

Wiping the snow off their faces, the three Generals appear holding snowballs.

"Yeah! Our favorite toys are here. Now we can't cool down their anger," BlotToon Mickey joked.

"And you have to be here as well. Does the weather combination has your name on it?" said Mickey, showing his Paintbrush.

"Hey, what the heck?! I broke your Paintbrush, and now it's flashy and new?!"

"At least I irritated you this time."

"But what's with the ugly sweaters? Seriously, I never thought my Toon counterpart would have hideous taste in fashion. No wonder he doesn't wear shirts or shoes," BlotToon Oswald.

"Hey, my brother made these!" Oswald shouted in defense.

"At least we're warm, unlike you three, who are cold and heartless," said Ortensia.

This made three Generals angry into wanting to fight. But Pete Pan showed up with his Sprite and said, "There's no need to fight them. I got this. This is it, Squeaky. Mano y mouseo."

Gasping at this, three Generals hid behind a palm tree as Mickey said, "But I want my BlotToon counterpart."

"Oh…I didn't think you were interested. You might be my type," BlotToon Mickey acted bashful while shaking his hips.

"What?! Eww! No way, and I'm already taken."

"I will cut your tail," Pete Pan said, taking out his sword.

Mickey then uses his Paintbrush like a sword and duel with Pete Pan.

"Hold on, Mickers. Big Bro will give you a hand," said Oswald, preparing his remote.

"Not so fast, Ozzy," said BlotToon Oswald.

The three Generals then whistled for a swarm of BlotToons to emerge from bushes and trees.

"Honeybunch, call in the offspring," said Oswald.

Ortensia takes out her Bunny Children whistle and blows into it. The 420 Bunny Children quickly arrive to attack the BlotToons. Some would bite their Hearts to free the Guardians. The others swallowed them before burping out the Guardians. The Sprite looks at Mickey and Pete Pan's battle, feeling bewildered.

"Once you're out of the way, Wasteland will become Peteland with no mice and rabbits allowed along with us going to the Cartoon World," said Pete Pan, as their weapons collide as they face to face.

"I don't give up on my family and friends' will and freedom, Pete Pan. If the real Peter Pan were here, he would do the exact opposite of what you do," Mickey replied.

But then Pete Pan begins to fly all crazy, making everyone stop and look while shouting, "What the-?! What's happened?! Sprite! My flying has been jacked-up! Do something!"

Pete Pan was then flung to the sky and landed on top of the peak of Neverland.

"That Pete has been yeet," Turpley commented.

"What's yeet?" Tintley asks.

"I don't know."

"Alright, Bunny Children. Before you leave, hug your Daddy Rabbit," said Oswald, opening his arms.

As the ground shook, Ortensia ran off as Gus shouted and fled while taking the Guardian Fairies in his hands, "Take cover! It's about to cute and cuddle!"

All of the Bunny Children soon pounced on Oswald to snuggle their Dad. BlotToon Oswald stared at the scene with interest.

"Come on, B. Oswald. We got to leave," said BlotToon Mickey.

"What's wrong, Black Bunny?" BlotToon Ortensia asks.

"Nothing. Let's skidoo," said BlotToon Oswald.

Once the three Generals ran away, Gus said, "I'm guessing the Sprite has something to do with what we saw."

"You did that on purpose, right?" Oswald asks.

When she speaks like a bell, Ortensia says, "You got tired of his wicked shenanigans? I'm glad you've seen the light. Do you know anything about their plot?"

She rings again for Mickey to respond, "You mean they placed the Disney Princesses in different locations to distract us? Pure stalling strategy. I'll admit that is good planning."

"But even if it meant stalling us, we still have to rescue the Disney Princesses, right?" Tintley said.

"That's right. No Disney character gets left behind, is what he always says."

"Plus, this journey allows us to restore some of our memories," said Turpley.

"Look, everyone. My radar is detecting that Pocahontas is at the peak of Neverland," said Oswald, showing his remote.

"I'm not surprised. She's a huge nature lover," Mickey commented.

"We better get going to Mount Never."

"Bunny Children, head home now," said Ortensia before the Bunny Children ran off.

Soon, the Toonateers and the Sprite go off to the mountain. Unknown to them, they are watched by a pair of eyes in the bushes. But their focus is on Mickey and Oswald as they follow them in the shadows.
