A/N: Hello again with another chapter. I hope you will enjoy it. We get to see some fighting intercation in this chapter but we also are going to see some familiar characters from the manwha!

Chapter 13: Knowing your limits

...a couple of minutes before the fight...

At first Sara was to be showing her manipulation alone, without anyone interfering. And Frankenstein saw up close what he had only seen from the screen of the cameras.

It was as Tao and the others had described it. Same way his malevolent dark energy was engulfing him. But this one wasn't emanating any negative emotions. It didn't have a mind of its own. It was like a powerful weapon in someone's hand.

The streaks of light, that had a slight orange hue, were not stifling her; neither were they engulfing her whole body. Her hands and up until the elbow were stripped vertically and them stripes, that looked like vines, were gradually lost in her body and reappearing near her neck and next to her eyes, almost connected with the latter. The same thing was happening with her legs, if the light that was escaping from her jeans was any indication. 'Huh… she actually has new clothes now huh? The boys must have shopped for her'

Tao was first to come. He took his stance and gripped his electric wires tightly in his hands "Sara, are you ready?"

"I think so"

"Okay then…" he was to start easily with her "Let's begin"

He made several moves to try and grab her with the wires but she was quick to avoid without much effort. She was just jumping around without any acrobatic moves, trying to be as subtle as possible while saving as much energy she could because she had a feeling that she was going to need it soon.

Tao stopped attacking her from the same spot and made a move at her right. She dodged again and fell on the floor. She looked like she didn't like it "Hey what is this? Why are you only attacking me from afar?"

"Well, that is how I fight Sara. Besides I'm kind of reluctant coming too close to you...No offence"

"Huh, I see. Then I guess I have to come to you" and with that she actually run to him while jumping around to avoid Tao's attacks that had gotten faster. As she got closer to him she made a very fast move and Tao didn't see her for a second before he decided that he was stopping being easy with her.

As soon as she appeared right behind him he channeled through him and his weapons the Dark Spear's energy and stopped her right on point. The wire stopped her glowing hand that looked like it was aiming to grab his neck. 'Well, she is not kidding'

"Hehe…You seem to have forgotten Sara" he said as he gave a good push to get her away as much as he could "Don't you remember when we told you that we shared some of Frankenstein's dark energy?" he said cockily while he retracted his wires.

"Huh" she said "I didn't know you could enable it in you weapon…interesting"

"Oh Sara, this is just the beginning"

Suddenly two wires came out of nowhere behind her and grabbed her. She looked really pissed. She didn't appreciate the restriction. It triggered bad memories. She fought it a little and as she was deciding to really start pushing with her energy...

"Well the first round is over" he said as he immediately released her.

"Why did you release me?"

Frankenstein answered instead "We are not here to exhaust you. We are here to evaluate the situation. You are not in the best condition for a full fight yet Sara"

"I was going to be released if you gave me enough time!"

"I'm sure of that but as I said…it's not a fight…See it more like training…Like you are stretching your legs a little bit"

She looked sour but didn't say anything.

"Besides Tao has work to do upstairs we cannot hold him any longer"

At that Tao was ready to leave the room "Great start Sara. You sure are fast and I'm certain that you will be able to do more in the future" he gave her his hand.

She looked at him confused "But…I thought you were afraid to come near me, never mind touching me"

"Oh that last one I said to rile you up a little bit… hehe…sorry. But hey, at least you get to know how it is when you do it to Bart"

She looked at him and smiled defeated "You guys are a weird…group" she gave him her hand.

As Tao was leaving he heard

"Takeo, you are next"

…Headquarters of KSA…

The night was looking promising. It was looking like it was going to be a starry night and Sangeen was thinking of clocking out early today and take his wife out for dinner. She was going to be thrilled with all the work they were having the last three months after what had happened.

Who would have thought that after everything that happened they would actually had found a way to get everything under the rag. It was truly a miracle how they were able to control the situation. Of course, the rumors that were going through the web helped a lot.

Apparently people don't believe what they see with their own eyes as easily as they believe what they see on the internet. Many people were saying that it was a nuclear war that was started by a madman who thought that was some kind of god and spread many lies to make the people panic. And if that was not enough he made sure to put certain people fighting with special gadgets while he was planning the bombs and destroying many places of the planet.

And if nothing else, every day, even more people believed that the admittance that Nobles exist was nothing more than a good directed ploy to get everyone sidetracked while he was gaining power. They thought that if vampires and werewolves were actually true they wouldn't have admitted it in front of the whole world so it must have been paid actors.

And the misguided, but none the less very convenient for them, conclusions had even more varieties but bottom line was that the public did not believe that was anything more than an underground organization run by a madman with was even "proof" on the internet about it being legit, which he didn't know how it was possible to exist, but it looked like it was enough for the public.

Sangeen wanted to laugh. Were people really that desparate to dismiss the truth and believe something that was convenient for their fragile state of mind? Now that he thought about it, maybe they wanted to return to the normality that they had before so… who knew? Maybe it was all done for the best. The secret agencies around the world helped each other too and now after more than four months, things were looking good.

"What are you thinking darling?" asked his wife as she joined him in the roof that he usually liked to hang out to.

"Na Yonsu" he acknowledged her by slightly turning his head to her until she was next to him looking over the city "Everything that has been going around the last 3-4 months"

"Huh…So you were thinking of all the shit that have been going on lately. Some bad things you are thinking there Sangeen"

"Why? What are you thinking right now?"

"Now that you mentioned it, I'm thinking how Frankenstein and his gang didn't even lift a finger to assist us with this shity situation" her hands becoming fists at her sides.

"Hey come on now. Tao that tech guy did assist us pretty well. I know they didn't come in person but I don't think we did that bad. Besides they were looking for their lost ones. That is a good enough excuse for me"

"Yeah but we had so many people to take care of…"

"Na Yonsu" he stopped her "Calm down and let's got out to dinner tonight" he turned to her.

She stopped what she was prepared to say "What?"

"Come on, my hot-headed wife. I know a good place nearby" he turned to head to the stairs.

"O-okay" she said as she blushed 'How does he do that to me every time?' "But first let me hand the last report to the boss"

"Alright, I'll be waiting in the lobby"

Takeo was not joking. Not only he had guns, which were much more dangerous and fast than wires in Sara's opinion, but he too had enhanced his bullets with the same dark energy that Frankenstein had.

Sara gasped that when a bullet nearly hit her and got stuck into the wall that was right behind her. Apparently he had cornered her. She raised her eyebrows when looked and felt the bullet. Then she turned to Takeo and then to Frankenstein who looked like he was very proud of the gunman. 'Huh…so this is how you want it' she thought as she suddenly relaxed and let her body unravel.

Her steps towards Takeo were slow and steady "I have come to realize that you are attacking me with weapons while I have none"

Takeo smiled "Oh come now Sara, Bart doesn't have one either and let me tell you he is fierce"

"Hm yeah I would think so" she said thinking "I thought that this session was to estimate my abilities and the limits of them, right Frankenstein?!" she shouted the last part of the question as she turned to the scientist that was standing a little far away from where they standing.

"Yeah, it is" said Takeo "You don't have to overexert yourself though. If this looks too much with the weapons…"

"Fine" she said with finality and that triggered Takeo's instincts that something was going to come "I will play like that too" she said as she opened her palms to her side.

The energy from her arms and hands looked like it was going through her to her palms only to form at the edge of them and beyond. The vine-like streams of light were still attached on her.

Frankenstein was watching with intensity. They never have witnessed her manipulating her energy outside her body. In truth, it was morphing to some kind of weapon. They looked like double blades of energy.

"Frankenstein, they look like the way you form your Dark Spear" commented Bart with his arms crossed. All this time Bart had a feeling that Sara not only was going low-profile during the fight by purpose, but also that she was anticipating their relaxed pose to reveal her actual control over her abilities. He was more careful now. Maybe he would have to interfere.

"Well, look at you Sara" Takeo said as he was thinking a new tactic of approaching her "looks like you have more in your sleeve than you let on"

She just smiled and as she was holding her blades, she attacked. She was fast and as Takeo was firing at her she was able to defend herself by repelling the bullets with her own formed energy. They were both jumping around; he was firing and she was deflecting the bullets that she noticed were becoming more and more forceful at her.

She knew that soon Takeo would stop as this was only for training but she wanted to continue. It felt good with some blood pumping into her veins like that after so long.

So she came to him full force while defending herself at the same time. Takeo was not expecting that and was trying to change tactics but she was attacking for real now.

It had suddenly become her attacking and him defending himself. Her left blade touched his gun and the Dark Spear's energy reacted to her own but as she pushed the gun both energies reacted badly to each other and repelled one another but that was just in a flick of time as Takeo, in order not to get sliced by the right blade kicked Sara in the stomach and used that to give himself a boost to get as far as possible.

She didn't expect the move but recovered fast and as she could and would have followed him if something way too fast hadn't grazed the upper right hem of her t-shirt as she was avoiding it just in time. She looked at Takeo. He had a big shooter gun on its case and was not stopping firing at her.

She hadn't expected that. Where had that come from? 'Oh so that was what that big case was doing there in the corner. He is fast in changing his weapons, I give him that'

Takeo stopped for a moment and she saw the destroyed edge of her cloth "Hey, you ruined my shirt" she said dryly but with a playful smile on.

"Don't worry, I'll buy you a new one" said Takeo with his eyes in the target, completely focused. Of course he wasn't going to hurt her. He just scraped her a little bit. He was good after all.

"Huh…Promise?"

"Sure" he answered ready to fire a new one.

But it looked like she really wanted to fight and the energy streaks were becoming more visible and her blades were becoming less refined in shape. She looked like she was charging more energy and was getting ready to attack again.

"Sara? What do you say we stop for today huh?" said Takeo without getting his finger away from the trigger.

No answer.

"Sara?"

She was looking at him thinking of how furious she was feeling. She didn't know why though. It was not Takeo's fault. She felt sad…and angry. She was emanating even more energy than before.

"Sara!"

She woke from her trance only to see Bart in front of her ready to take his werewolf form.

"What are you doing here?"

"The match is over. You should rest for a bit and then we are going to try to train together in different fighting range and style" he said with seriousness that indicated that he was not kidding "Relax and retract your energy; you might fall down on us" the last part was said without too much seriousness and more with concern.

So she listened to him and retracted her blades and the energy that was creating them. She wavered a little bit but when Bart went to her aid she raised her hand defensively and said she was fine.

Takeo took the finger away from the trigger and started packing his gun without any word.

Frankenstein was making plans in his mind.

Na Yonsu was now outside the director's office waiting for him to finish an important phone call. Truth is she was anticipating the dinner. It had been so long now since she and Sangeen had behaved like an actual couple. What madness, but she could hear her boss finishing his call and she was ready to deliver the report and call it a day.

She approached him and let the papers down on his office.

The director lost no time.

"You and your husband are to go to the southwest of the city. There have been some suspicious explosions there and a fire broke"

"You are kidding right? Gas leaks and fires are a common thing these days" she said as she was trying to hold her temper while being polite at the same time "Can't you send a rookie to check it out?"

"After everything that happened, only the last year, how can you really say that? We have to be sure!"

"Sure of what?! It's same thing all over again…" said with a whiny voice.

The director made an attempt to have a better look at her. Na Yonsu rarely objected any missions or jobs. She was always first to get to the field. What could have been different this time? Unless…

"Did your nerves break?" he asked after he sighed.

She shook her head as she sighed too "No, no...It's just…Tonight was supposed to be a normal night…Well, normal for most people but I guess…We are not that normal"

Her head was down and she sounded really disappointed. She was human after all.

"I'm sorry Na Yonsu, I really am"

Before she was able to answer, two hands came from behind her and hugged her gently.

"It's alright director. We are what we are after all" Sangeen gave a kiss to his wife's temple "And we choose to do that too…"

"Yeah…we did"

Sangeen smiled "Come on darling, let's go"

Na Yonsu put on the professional face again, bowed to the director after he gave them the coordinates and she and her husband both left the premises of KSA.

"Sara, you haven't told us a lot of things regarding your abilities and you didn't let me run not even a simple blood test"

Frankenstein had his arms crossed over his chest and was looking at Sara like a disappointed school director; which he actually was, and that was ironic too since he had her standing and he was walking up and down in front of her.

"But" he continued "from the little you have told us, I can assume that you have felt the presence of your years a lot more than Bart, and I would assume that Dr. Conrad or whoever was in charge have taught you one thing or two about your control"

Sara raised her eyebrow at him but didn't say anything 'Him talking about control'

"Do not give me that face Sara, I know what you are thinking"

'He did it again! What the hell, can he actually read minds?'

After Frankenstein got an extended explanation about safety to all three of them he suggested that it was time to head upstairs.

"Wait, it the training over?"

"It was not a training per se Sara, but a first look at your abilities and stamina" Said Frankenstein with a voice that was getting to the point of irritated. Tao would have called it the I'm-trying-to-stay-calm-for-your-sake tone.

No one said anything else and they all moved to the exit. Tao spoke through the intercom "Huh boss, can you come here?"

"What is it Tao? You didn't burn the kitchen now did you?" he sounded more exhausted than irritated. The mere thought of something like that happening...

"I detected some weird signals close to one of the attacked areas here and a fire broke down a few minutes ago"

"Tell me"

Frankenstein was more focused now and he made a signal to Takeo and Bart to move faster to the computer room.

"KSA informed me that they send Na Yonsu and Sangeen to check it out. It looks like the director was worrying because of the high concentration of gas in the area but…"

"But what Tao?"

Frankenstein was next to him and now he was seeing the monitors too. Takeo and Bart were right behind him. Sara was nowhere to be seen.

"The area doesn't have any gas leaks. I mean it was cleaned and any gas leaks were sealed last month. I was sure of it and we were in contact with KSA all this time. For a fire to be broken down there is highly unlikely – at least by the damage that the missiles had done"

"Someone started it" the clicks of Takeo's guns were heard and Bart was ready to run too.

"Shall we go and check, Frankenstein?" asked Bart. His eyes were more determined than Tao had seen them in months.

"Go. Be careful. Send word if you need back up" the two of them had fled as soon as he finished. Frankenstein smiled. They had grown up so fast, if only Master was there to see them. Speaking of it…

"Where is Sara?"

Tao quickly typed and saw the camera of the hall. It showed Sara staying behind and swiftly getting into the bathroom.

Frankenstein didn't say anything beyond a simple "Huh, I see" and after a couple of minutes he left saying "Keep tracking that area, don't let it out of your sight and attention and if something occurs inform me"

"Okay boss"

In the meantime Frankenstein had to make some calls and some business to do.

…Lukedonia…the Landegre mansion…

"Did you do as I told you?"

"I would have rather you didn't use such means as to direct us of what action to take Frankenstein" said Gejuntel with his usual dismissive tone to the human scientist.

"I thought you were in need for some guidance there and I was more than happy to provide" said human answered with a smirk.

"And since when do we need your guidance for our affairs?"

"First since your affairs are actually ours too and secondly since I have the only person who is able to find my Master and your Lord"

"Hmm…How are things going with her?"

"She can use her abilities quite well, but something tells me that she is still not up to the level we want. Her reaction to battle and competitiveness reminds me of Urokai though"

"That is not though the only reason why you called, right?"

"Huh, as perceptive as always Gejuntel" Frankenstein was really enjoying the information he was going to share "You see, her aura was very similar to mine"

Gejuntel froze at what he heard. One person with a super crazy power like that was catastrophic enough but two?

"Gejuntel? Are you still alive? Hehehe" he couldn't resist laughing a little bit at the Noble's discomfort that was obvious through the communications.

"What do you mean by that Frankenstein?" the voice too serious too ignore.

"Relax, I was just suggesting that the energy, as she calls it, was not easy for her to control after the second battle with my boys. As I told you she is easily getting into the battle and with her being still weak, she couldn't control it as good"

"And?"

"And sometimes the form of her energy resembled more my Dark Spear than Urokai's more constructed aura form"

"But your powers were made to resemble the Nobles' ones, no?"

Frankenstein didn't know what to assume any more so he changed the subject "Did you send the package?"

"Which one?"

"The small one"

"On its way as we speak"

"Good"

"When do you want me to send the other one?"

Frankenstein turned his head to the direction of the room Sara was in. He could feel her presence very intensely.

"Soon"
