Chapter 33: Being Stalked by Giants
Coming out of the Giantland Projector, the Toonateers looked ready for action.
"Are we going to climb a beanstalk to get to the Beanstalk Factory?" Turpley asks.
"We have no choice. It's called the Beanstalk Factory for a reason," said Oswald.
"But isn't that it over there?" Tintley asks while pointing to a withered and old giant beanstalk lying on the ground.
"Oh no! Our only route to the Factory has been withered," said Ortensia as the Toonateers went to it.
"And it doesn't look like it left any magic beans for us to make a new one," said Mickey, looking around.
"Wait! The Giant Brothers and their father! They live in the clouds, run the Beanstalk Factory and help out with shipment," Oswald said.
"But Oswald, we haven't heard from them since the Blot Wars. What makes you think they survived?" Gus asked.
"Come on, Gus. Nearly everything we thought was lost during the Thinner Disaster, and the Blot Wars has survived. What do you think?"
"Good point."
"We can all fly up there," Tintley suggested.
"Oh, yeah. I forget that my Paintbrush gives me wings," said Mickey before his red-yellow wings appeared.
"Here goes nothing!" said Ortensia before everyone flew upward.
"And thanks to wind currents and cloud production, we might be able to reach where the factory is held," said Gus.
But a giant hand came out of the cloud and grabbed the Toonateers.
The pain from the grab hurt so much that it made them groan while Mickey muttered, "I guess this was bound to happen, considering what mishaps we'd encounter during our adventure."
When they get pulled up, they find out they are in the grasp of Willie, the Giant, while looking upset.
"Another bird for lunch," he said, about to drop the Toonateers in his mouth.
"Willie! No, it's us! Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Ortensia, and Gus!" Oswald shouted.
"Oswald, Ortensia and Gus? How did you get up here? The beanstalk has been dead for years."
"Willie the Giant?! I didn't know you ended up in Wasteland. No wonder you haven't been answering your acting applications and messages," said Mickey as Willie let the Toonateers stand in his hand.
"Mickey Mouse? You got forgotten too?"
"Willie, it's me."
"Oh, yeah. You're the Disney Icon. What brings you all here?"
"We heard that a Disney Princess is being held here. We came to rescue her. What you've been up to?" said Ortensia.
"My brother, father, and I have been trapped in the skies for years since Blot Wars. We tried to send some S.O.S. in the skies with smoke, but we had to cut it down since it took so much. Then we tried to make a new Beanstalk, but the Factory has been taking damages from quakes during 2001."
"You and your family have been through so much. If only we knew you survived, we would've helped out," said Gus.
"It's alright. I'm still surprised we managed to live."
"Willie, we're Toons. We live forever," said Mickey.
"Oh, yeah."
But when an explosion is heard from the distance, this scared Tintley and Turpley to hold Mickey's ears.
"Big noises always freak me out!" Tintley is trying to hold in her tears.
"I'm not scared! It just surprised me," Turpley yelled.
"Do you mind, Tintley and Turpley?! You're clutching onto my ears as you yell," Mickey said.
"Sorry. You're the closest thing we can hold onto," said Tintley as she and Turpley lets go of his ears.
"Besides, you got Paint and Thinner on ya. So, can you blame us?" Turpley added.
"Yeah, I can't deny it."
"I hate to interrupt, but should we be concerned about the explosion?" said Gus.
"Willie! Willie!" Gustav the Giant comes running.
"Gustav, big bro. What's going on?" Willie asks.
"You got to come quick. Some giant robotic cat appeared out of nowhere and started to attack father."
"Hmm…This giant looks familiar," Mickey said.
"Hey, Mickey Mouse? Along with Oswald, Ortensia, and Gus? What's going on?"
"I believe we know this giant robotic cat you speak of. Petetronic is here. Can you take us to him?" Oswald said.
"Sure. I'll let you guys sit on my shoulder," said Willie, putting the Toonateers on his right shoulder.
"Let's go, boys!" said Ortensia before Gustav and Willie ran towards where the explosion came from.
"Wow! Who knew riding on a giant would be fun?!" Turpley shouted in excitement.
"Yeah! Weeeeee! Faster, faster, faster!" Tintley laughed.
But Gus groaned and said, "Oh. Who knew giants were light on their feet."
"Don't go barfing on me, Gus," Willie said.
When the two Giant Brothers stopped running, they saw Rumplewatt the Giant wrestling with Petetronic when he was in boss form during Epic Mickey.
"Daddy!" Willie concerned.
"I'm sure I was with that guy in an episode, but I can't put my foot on it," Mickey said.
"Since when did Petetronic become ginormous?" Oswald added.
"You should've seen him when I fought him during my first journey in Wasteland, Ozzie-san."
"Where's that mouse and rabbit? I will turn them into a pizza and stew when I get my hands on them!" Petetronic shouted.
"I don't know what you're talking about, but no one enters my domain without permission!" said Rumplewatt the Giant.
"A Pete always gets what he wants!"
Petetronic then began to fire multiple discs at Rumplewatt until he went down.
"Incoming," said Gustav before the discs came at him and his brother.
"Toonateers, spin move to the triple max," Mickey demanded.
Mickey, Oswald, and Ortensia start to make Spin Moves which launches the discs back at Petetronic.
"Dad, are you alright?" Willie said while he and Gustav helped up their father.
"Boys, are you okay? But what are they and he doing here?" Rumplewatt said.
"Giants, we can distract them. You three prepare to give him the best punch you got," said Gus.
With the Toonateers off Willie's shoulder, they charge toward giant Petetronic.
"Aha! There you are!" Petetronic said while throwing Thinner at them.
"Food!" Turpley continued while opening his mouth to catch them and swallowed, "Ouch, because I didn't have time to chew."
"You think that is going to stop me? Once you've put to stone, Wasteland is Peteland along with us going into the Cartoon World."
"I've been put to stone for 61 years, seven months, and 25 days. So, I'm immune to inert," said Ortensia.
"I don't think that's what he meant, Ortensia," Oswald continued after she winked at him. "Oh, yes siree! And besides Petetronic, if Mickers beat you before, then you should be easier this time."
"This time, I'm going to be even with Paint and Thinner on you," said Mickey, pointing his Brush towards Petetronic.
"Hahahahahaha! I like to see-" Petetronic said until he was interrupted by the three Giants punching him in the face.
Their punch sent Petetronic flying into the air and crashed through the roof of the Beanstalk Factory.
"Giants rule!" Turpley shouted.
"At least we don't have to use our fists to attack," said Tintley.
"We should probably go to the Beanstalk Factory to get Rapunzel," said Oswald.
"Wait a second. We haven't seen those three Generals in a while. Where are they? I need to get that present back!" said Mickey.
But when BlotToons came out from underneath the clouds, Willie said, "Everyone, get to the Factory. My family and I will hold them off."
"Be careful, Giants. Alright, everyone. Time to save us a Disney Princess," said Ortensia before the Toonateers ran to the Factory.
At the rooftop of the Factory, the three Generals are watching the Toonateers as they shape their eyes into binoculars while they are close to where Petetronic crashed through.
"Oh, goody! Our toys have come to our playground," said BlotToon Mickey as the three Generals reshaped their eyes to normal.
"Oh, I can't wait to hurt my counterpart with my words. It's delicious to see the Loseteers suffer," said BlotToon Oswald.
"Okay, BOswald. That was too far."
"What else is there to say about how much we enjoy torturing them?"
"Still, if we hadn't found the Blot Heart, we would've still been mindless pawns to the Petes. Lending us the power to be who we are today. And what better way to thank it than by setting it free," said BlotToon Ortensia.
"Alright, you two. We don't want to miss the show," BlotToon Mickey said.
The three Generals then jumped into the hole that Petetronic made as they laughed.
