A Second Chance Ch. 7
Liz sat quietly at the bar, as much as she wanted to drink some of her anxieties away, but made the choice to hold off, figuring that if she got a hint of where her best friend was, she would need to have her wits about her. Letting out a sigh, she found Lyla staring at her. Her first instinct was to snap, but she knew she wasn't trying to be rude or anything.
"What can I do for you, Lyla?" she asked her.
Swallowing some of her nerves, Lyla knew that Liz wasn't going to hurt her, but she was still scared out of her mind at the thought of pissing her or Luna off. But she had a few questions, and she was a old lady, so she did have some rights to figure out what was going on within her family.
Straightening her spine, "You and Luna have all this training, why wouldn't she fight?" It was on her mind, hell it was on everyone's mind.
Liz stared at the blonde, half tempted to come off her chair to strangle her for having the balls to sit here and ask her such a question, but she held her tongue.
Neither of them heard the doors open from the Church, and the SONs hearing Lyla question Liz.
Taking a deep breath, Liz focused on the woman, "I left because she asked me to, and at the time Abel was more important than Luna." Standing up, she found the members watching her, "Excuse me." With that she walked outside, she didn't need some bitch no matter how well-meaning asking questions for shit she had no clue on.
Lyla could see the irritation coming off the club, even Kip was shaking his head, "I'm sorry, but I don't understand, all badass, yet she's gone."
Kip took a step forward, "I love you, but you don't get to question Liz or Luna." His eyes turning towards Jax who looked like was vibrating, and to his surprise so did Happy. Taking her towards his dorm, opening the door, he pulled her in.
Lyla was upset, wasn't she an old lady, didn't she have the ability to ask thing? "Why are you asking if I did something wrong, I'm an Old Lady, she's not."
"You're right on that you are my old lady. But you just accused her of abandoning the President's Old Lady." Folding his arms over his chest, "She's right, in that moment, she did what was better for Abel, if they took Luna don't you think they would have taken Jax's son?"
Flopping down on the bed, she looked up at him, not realizing that's how it came across. Placing her hand over her mouth, "Oh god, I didn't think of that." Making a move to stand, but she found Kip standing in her way, "What?"
Pulling her into a hug, "Let her calm down, old lady or not, I have a feeling if you go to her, she might snap." Rubbing her back, "Give her a bit."
Lyla wrapped her arms his waist, "I'm sorry I embarrassed you," letting out a sigh, "I didn't mean it how it came out."
Stepping out of his arms, she made her way back to the bar, finding the guys sitting around, walking up to Jax, seeing him tense at her approach. "Jax, I am so sorry I put my foot in my mouth," nervous that he was going to strangle her for being so in your face, "and I hope you will forgive me." Her eyes pleading for his forgiveness.
Jax could see that she was scared, of him, his reaction, not that he wasn't upset or anything, but he could see that she was trying to get answers. Standing up, he looked at her, gently patting her shoulder, "Don't do it again, and we're good."
Happy watched Liz head out of the clubhouse, his body trembling, turning his attention towards Lyla, he was about to rip into her, but seems like Half-sac already pulled her down the hallway to handle that shit. Instinct told him to check on her, but as he made his way, Jax called them to his table.
After a good hour, he found Lyla giving Jax an apology, while he still thought it was uncalled for, if his President was willing to look past it, he'd do it, but he wasn't going to let her, or anyone speak to her that way. Taking a second to realize that was what he wanted with her, for her to truly be his.
He knew that Luna wasn't upset with him, she said so herself, but it seemed that Liz needed to be convinced that he was worth it. Leaning back in the chair, he kept his eyes on the door, waiting for her to come back in, almost willing it. Making a move to stand, he was ready to head out and check on her, but as he got ready to take a step, he found her walking in with a look of irritation on her face.
Liz sat outside for about an hour, staring up at the sky her mind filled with what could be happening to her friend. Hating herself more and more at not doing something. Letting out a frustrated sigh, she knew that if the situation was reversed, and it was her kid, she would have done the same thing, even if they could have taken them on, with Abel being in the house, put them at a greater risk of getting killed.
Her mind thinking about what Lyla said, did they actually think that she tucked tail and run? What kept her from leaving the lot, was the look on the faces of those around them when she was questioned, she could see that no one thought that she left Luna to save herself. Letting out a sigh, she needed to go back inside and stick around to listen to what was going on, and if she could help, there was no way that she wasn't going to, and so help the men that took her, if they so much as put a bruise on her, she'd cut their fucking balls off with a rusty spoon.
Shaking her head, she jumped down and walked back into the clubhouse, seeing everyone standing around, well mostly everyone, Gemma and Luanne seemed to be in their rooms. Looking over at the guys, she could see that they were doing everything in their power to figure out what the hell was going on.
Finding herself standing in front of wall of pictures, she could see that it was all their mug shots, doing her best to hold in a laugh at the sight. Each one of the men in the picture had this grin on their face, like they were happy to have been arrested, but perhaps this was what you needed to do to get in the club.
Feeling someone stand next to her, she found Lyla looking like she was about to start crying. Not trusting her voice, she just raised her eyebrow.
Taking a deep breath, Lyla could see that Liz was half debating on strangling her, grateful that she was waiting for her words before she acted. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make it seem that you ran away." Her eyes looking at the mugshots, "You and Luna are so badass," hearing her snort, "so, the thought that you or her couldn't take on someone, I guess blew my mind."
Liz could understand that, not realizing that some of the guys were listening to what was happening between them, "The only reason I could guess that she was taken, was that they had a gun on her. She wouldn't intentionally do something that would cause herself to get hurt, she would go with them, and when she has an opportunity, she will make her escape."
"You seem so sure." Lyla said, not understanding how she was so confident.
"Her father was an Army Ranger, he was sent on tons of black ops," her eyes finding the blonde watching her, "and he took the training of his daughter seriously, and by proxy me too. He taught us how to get out of a lot of situations, but he always told us to be smart, wait for an opening. So, I have to believe that is what she's doing." Her eyes looking around the room, finding the guys listening, but her eyes landing on Jax, "She's smart, and the moment she gets free she will make her way here."
Jax could only nod, he wanted nothing more than to believe her, and in some part of his brain he knew what she was saying was true, but right now, the woman he loved, his future wife was in danger. Until she was safely back home, he wasn't going to relax. "I know." Was all he could say.
Liz watched as Lyla found her way back towards Kip, her eyes turning back to the mugshots, trying to memorize everything that she could, knowing that's all she could do in this moment.
Happy could see that she was restless, he was fairly certain if she had an idea of where Luna could be, she would be there. Moving to stand next to her, he could see the moment she felt someone next to her, as her eyes turned towards him, "You doing OK?" he asked her.
Shaking her head, "No, not really." Closing her eyes, she was doing her best to keep her emotions in check, she had to keep the faith that Luna was going to be OK, and that she was waiting to make her move.
"She's going to be fine, she's a scrappy little thing." He said, wanting to do what he could to comfort her.
Opening her eyes to his words, a part of her wanted to snap at him, and tell him she knew that, but looking up at him, she could see that he was trying to be kind, and honestly, he wasn't someone that she wanted to snap at, she liked the man. "I know, it was the right thing to do, get Abel here. She would never forgive me if something happened to her son."
Inhaling deeply, "I just wished as I made my way to the truck, I paid more attention about their vehicle, perhaps get the plates, but I was so focused on getting Abel to safety I didn't even pay attention." That was what was bothering her, she could have looked and given them a better clue.
Happy didn't know what to do, gently wrapping his arm around her shoulder, it was something that he did when Luna was upset, and it seemed to calm her, hoping that it helped with Liz, "You did the right thing, Abel was the priority at the time."
Liz leaned into him, surprised that he was being so gentle to her, smiling up at him, "Thank you, I know that, but it's nice to hear." Enjoying the moment a few more minutes, Jax calling everyone to Church broke the spell that she was under.
Happy looked down at her, he could see that she was still upset, but her eyes had some tension removed from them. Not knowing what to say to her, he carefully stepped back.
Liz could see that he wanted to say something, "It's OK, handle your shit." Gently pushing him towards double doors.
Snorting, Happy just nodded, and made his way inside to Church.
Liz turned her eyes back towards the wall, wanting nothing more than to find the person's responsible and rip their fucking hearts out. Sitting down at the nearest table, she placed her head down, letting some of her frustration. Seeing movement in the corner of her eye, she found Luann looking at her phone and heading outside, shrugging she kept her head on the table, ready for any bit of information, her mind running through every scenario of how to find someone.
After about an hour of unsuccessful planning, she saw Luann run straight into the Church, the doors wide open, surprised that she would do that, no one but members were allowed in. But as she listened, she understood the urgency.
Hearing that Irish had her friend, set her off, because she had the skills to get her back, but she had no idea of how to locate them. Standing up, she leaned against the doors, listening to everything that they were doing, but it didn't take them long to get the information that they needed to bring her friend home.
Liz could feel a tear escape, carefully wiping it off her face, she wouldn't cry until she saw that Luna was safe. Her eyes finding Happy, seeing that they were getting ready to leave, not thinking she walked to him, "I know you're not going to let me go," touching his side with the smile faces, "Make sure that you add a few more for whoever took my best friend." Stepping back, she could see the look of surprise on his face.
Touching her hand on his side, now was not the time to get into that, but he was grateful that she wasn't an idiot and figured out who he was. Nodding at her, "Oh yes I will." Stepping away, he made his way towards his bike seeing her follow them out, his eyes forward, it was time to bring Luna home.
Walking into the warehouse where Jimmy was keeping was surreal for him, he could see that Jimmy and his second were incapacitated, and Luna was standing in the middle of the room her hands up. Shaking his head, of course she was going to get out, taking a second to look at the damage, he was fairly certain if they were an hour later, they would have missed her all together.
Luna felt relief, her family was here, grateful that Liz was able to get her son to the clubhouse, and that he was safe. Feeling each one of the members hug her, it did a lot to ease the stress that was coursing through her body, but as she got to Happy, she could see that he was relieved, tilting her head, she could see it wasn't because of her so to speak, it was because he didn't have to go back to Liz and tell her something horrible. It pleased her to no end that he cared about Liz like that.
Happy looked at Jax, silently asking permission to hug her, knowing that he was emotionally charged, not wanting to give him the impression that it wasn't anything more than him being concerned. Seeing his nod, he wrapped his arm around her shoulders, "Glad your safe little girl."
Snorting at him, "I'm fine, Thanks Hap." Looking up at him, "Is Liz OK?" she asked, worried about her friend.
Stepping back, giving her a smile, "She's OK, beating herself up for not getting more information before she left you."
Luna looked around, "I hope you guys told her it wasn't her fault, she had my son, he was more important than me."
Jax pulled her to his chest, "Of course we did," his eyes finding the guys, "tie them up."
Happy took his time with them, he could hear that Luna wanted to stay, a part of him knew why she did, but another part, never wanted her or Liz to this part of him, but as she injected Jimmy with something, her eyes finding his, he could see her understanding.
"Happy, I know who you are." With that Luna leaned back into Jax, knowing that what was about to happen was going to be brutal.
Looking down at the man, Happy slowly started cutting off Jimmy's ear, making his way to the other. His eyes never looking up from his project, he promised Liz that the man was going to suffer, and he was going to make sure that he kept the promise to her.
Breaking his fingers, he could see Jimmy piss himself, it brought him joy seeing this self-assured man start to fall apart, piece by piece. Getting to the point where he was starting to peel his skin off, he could hear Jax call and end to it. Looking over at Tig, he could see that the man he was working on lost his eyes, lips, and nose. Out of everyone else in the club, Tig was the only one that was as brutal as him, it's probably why they got a long so well.
His eyes found Luna's, he could see that she never took her eyes off what happened, but he'd be lying if she looked at him and she looked scared, he wasn't sure if he could handle that, she was always going to mean something to him, and the thought of not being in her life as her friend, well that terrified him.
Luna could feel someone watching her, peeling her eyes at what she just witnessed, her eyes found Happy watching her. The fear was real in his eyes, she didn't think anyone would understand their connection without misreading what was happening, so until he was secured in his relationship with Liz, this moment was to just be between them. Smiling at him, she mouthed "Thank you." Smiling as the stress fell off him.
Turning her eyes towards Jax who put a bullet into his brain, it didn't take them long to get everything cleaned up and a fire started and making their way back to the clubhouse.
Liz could hear the rumbling of the bikes, her body was shaking with nervous energy, she waited by the bar, and as she heard the doors open, she found her friend double timing it inside, smiling as everyone hugged her, giving her a swift hug, "He's asleep in Gemma's dorm." Smiling as she darted past everyone.
Her eyes turned back towards the doors, seeing the guys walk back inside, smiling when she looked at Happy.
Jax looked around, not seeing her inside, "Where is she?" he asked, worried about her.
Liz smiled at him, "With her kid. I think she missed him a bit."
Clay could see her coming back from their room, "I figured that you would be with him." He remarked to her.
"He's asleep, I didn't want to wake him, I just needed to see he was safe." Her eyes finding her best friend, walking up to her, wrapping her arms around her, "I love you so much, thank you for protecting my son."
Liz could feel tears sliding down her face, "You know I always have your back." Squeezing her, "He's my nephew, I'd die protecting him and you."
Everyone watched them hold on to each other, it was beautiful.
Luna snorted, "I'd die protecting you too." Stepping back, she leaned back into Jax, looking at her family, "I love you all, thank you for coming to get me, but I think we should get some sleep, talk about this shit in the morning."
Liz yawned, she was beyond tired, she's been awake almost two days, "I'm going to take your truck, I love you." As she made a move to leave, she found herself over Happy's shoulder.
Happy could see that she was exhausted, but hearing that she was going to leave, just pissed him off. Tossing her over his shoulder, he made his way towards his dorm, kicking the door shut, locking it.
Wanting a shower, he walked them into the bathroom, not even bothering to put her down as he got the water running. Once it was warm, he carefully put her down, tossing his kutte on the towel bar, he quickly stripped down. Smiling at her face, pulling her close to him, he stripped her down, never taking his eyes off her.
Once she was naked in front of him, Happy picked her up, walking them into the shower, enjoying her body wrapped around his. As the water slid down their bodies, he needed to be inside her, locking eyes with her, waiting for permission to enter her body. Praying she wouldn't deny him.
Liz couldn't breathe, never in her life was she with someone so strong, looking into his deep brown eyes, she could see that he was waiting for her to say yes. Wanting to feel this moment, she leaned forward kissing him, rolling her hips on the tip of his cock.
Wrapping his hand in her hair, he drove himself deep into her body, hearing her scream out his name, only pushed him harder into her body. "Fuck, so tight, Red."
"Happy." She moaned out. Using her arms she wrapped her arms around him, holding on, it was all she could do. Her body responding to his aggression. Her legs tightening around his waist, wanting to participate, but how he had her pinned against the wall, her movements were limited.
Setting a brutal pace, he needed her know she was his, and he was hers, every step that she would take, there would be a constant reminder that he was the one that made her pussy ache. Locking his lips on hers, using one hand to reach between their bodies, rolling her clit between his fingers, smiling as her pussy started to shake around his cock.
"That's right, cum on my cock." He rasped out.
She could feel her body starting to coil, unable to hold off any longer, she tilted her head back, "Fuck, Happy." Her eyes closing as her orgasm rolled through her body. Unable to stop trembling in his arms.
Hearing her scream out for him, was enough to push him over the edge, his head falling on his shoulder, his balls emptying out inside of her. Slowly stroking himself inside her pussy doing what he could to prolong this moment with her.
Liz came back down from her high, the only sound that she could hear was the water hitting the tiles, which was now getting colder. Focusing on the man that was still deep inside of her, she found him looking at her. She could see the war inside his head, he was scared that the violence that he did when he was out for the club would scare her, but for whatever reason, she didn't give a shit, she had an idea of who he was. Lifting her hand to his face, "Thank you for what you did for Luna."
His eyes locked on hers, "I can't change who I am, I'm a killer, and I'm fucking great at my job." Not knowing why, he was saying this to her, perhaps giving her a chance to run before he wouldn't let her leave.
Leaning forward, placing her head on his, "I know, I saw your tattoos. Whatever else you are Happy, you're loyal to the ones that you respect and care for. That's enough for me."
Kissing her deeply he had no idea what to say to her, turning off the water, he wrapped the towel around her and himself, never putting her down, wanting to keep his hands on her body. Laying them down on the bed he pulled her to his body, "Your ass better be here when I wake up, or I'm going to make it sore." He threatened her.
Snorting, looking over her shoulder she could see that he wasn't kidding. "OK. I won't leave, but in the morning, you and I have to actually talk." Wrapping her arm around his.
Placing a kiss on her shoulder, "Not much to talk about, you're mine, I'm yours. My pussy, your cock." He said, not wanting to beat around the bush.
Turning to look at him, she could see that he was serious, taking a second to absorb what he was saying, and what Luna said about the man, shaking her head, she was right, he was a primal being, "OK, but you step out here or on the road, I'm out."
Pulling her closer, "Don't want them, I only want you." Placing his head on hers, "Get some sleep, Red." Smiling as she snuggled deeper into his chest.
Liz knew that there were more things that they would need to work on, but she was going to go with him, the pull to him was too strong to ignore. "Night Happy."
"Night Red." He knew that there was nothing that he was going to do to ruin what he finally had with her. She was his second chance.
