Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of the Ogre's Rabbit. Enjoy the 2400-word chapter I don't own Titanfall or Genlock, Rooster teeth, Respawn and a few others do.

(MCS Macallan-Class Carrier, Independence)

Aiden checked an EVA-8 shotgun before strapping it to his back. He followed this up with a few more rounds and then a grenade or 2 and looked around for his pistol. He rested his helmet next to him on the table as he sighed to himself.

There was more work to do. He needed to get onto the mission at hand. A crow class dropship was being prepped to take him down to the planet below. He heard a group of pilots

"Major, I would recommend caution." Havoc stated as the figure fell silent. "Then I suggest you bring more ammo. We will be down there for a while." Havoc stated to which there was a nod.

"Why do you think I'm bringing 3 guns?" Aiden questioned before placing a G2A5 inside of Havoc. "Remind me what the mission is? Have we heard anything back from the Macallan?" Aiden questioned as he raised his eyebrow.

"There is an enemy military base jamming communication. Not ours, but the crew has reported it is interfering with the Independence's communication systems." Havoc stated before he nodded. "You are to disable it, secure intel, and recon the area," Havoc added before Aiden as he sighed to himself.

"On it. Tell the others to track my signal then, helmet cam should still be recording." Aiden said before he placed a Spitfire LMG inside of Havoc as well. "Stay here, bud. I'll move faster without you and the last thing we need is a titan running around there blowing things up." Aiden said before he pulled his helmet over his head.

He moved towards his dropship. It would be a while before he set foot on this ship if he was honest. He'd enjoy his time here if he didn't have a war to attend to. This was simply a ship; he was simply a soldier.

"Don't get cocky, Aiden." Aiden heard as he rolled his eyes himself.

"Hey, the chance of running into the kaiju level warbots isn't very high. I've got this, Hav." Aiden said before he shrugged to himself. "Besides, I have you for now," Aiden stated before he cracked his knuckles and then he sighed to himself with annoyance.

There was more time that was to be done on this mission. He knew the chance of running into the monster like mechs was high, he wasn't so stupid as to underestimate them. They were large, they seemed capable of turning a titan into a scrap with one fist, and they were military grade.

Still? He had a mission to do. That meant going down there either way despite how he felt.

Part of him was still curious about the new mechs and what their part in this was. They were armed for some sort of conflict, which meant another war was going on the ground side that had needed serious firepower.

And if they were that well-armed? He damn well wanted to know what was going on. There was more going on than he expected it to be. He still wanted to handle more important work either way. He had to know what was going on ground side at the moment.

He brushed off the patchwork armor that most titan pilots wore. Even on the most important missions, they were still at the mercy of fewer supplies and materials at the moment.

He was honestly curious as to what awaited him, he boarded the crow as of the second. He had been ready as of the time. there was so much more than in the second.

The dropship left the carrier which hovered near the hole in space. He was honestly curious as of the second. He'd be ready for the time being.

"Major? I'd like to tell you there are many soldiers down below at the target base." Aiden heard as he sighed to himself before he tilted his head to the side. "I need to worry about the crew. We will support you if we can, but I know pilots can handle themselves. You can handle a few hundred-foot soldiers, yeah?" Aiden also heard.

He chuckled while he managed to question what to do next. He was going to fight; they could put an army in his way… But he'd stop them as well.

"I'll be ready for whatever they try, sir. You just focus on telling Admiral Graves what's going on." Aiden stated before he dropped the communication device.

(The Anvil)

Dr. Weller knew Cammie was watching as he reviewed her drone's data. It made him frown to himself before he sighed.

"Still mad about the fact that they put a bomb on your face?" Weller asked before he frowned to himself again. "I don't think he wanted to fight, Cammie. That charge wasn't powerful enough to punch a hole in the armor let alone anything the Union uses." Weller added as he tilted his head and looked at the second before, he hummed to himself.

"He cannae got past me and I blew it, doc," Cammie said as she walked up to the monitors. "Who is he? That mech ain't Union. I know they like big guns and weapons when it comes down to it." Cammie stated before she frowned.

"Don't know, that mech is somewhat like a holon though, it's built for combat and whoever was piloting it knows what they're doing," Weller said before he looked at Cammie. "You spooked them. Having a 40ft combat mech confront a 24 or so one? Well, that'd spook anyone." Weller said before something peaked on the monitors.

"Someone is heading to one of the old bases. Hmm. I don't know what is going to happen next. It's in Florida, Union territory. A communication base." Weller stated before he sighed and frowned to himself as he shook his head to himself.

He looked at Cammie and knew she wanted nothing more to do this when it came down to it. There was more on the line than this. He was also well damn aware of the fact that he could do more damage if he let her handle this. Still? With the Union running around and 2 new armies? Weller saw the need to strike the enemy while the candle was still burning and they had a chance to learn.

"Go get Chase," Weller said as Cammie nodded as he frowned and backed down.

(Crow Dropship)

The ship slowly traced through the air. The cockpit of the craft was empty except for a lone Militia soldier. It was honestly curious as of the second.

"I got to go, Major. We can only drop off. Picking up is the same when it comes down to it?" Aiden heard as he nodded and picked up his rifle before he hummed to himself.

He marched towards the hatch before he cracked his knuckles and slowly started to take a deep breath. He was honestly curious at the time. They needed as of the second.

"Get back to the Independence, I'll not be long," Aiden stated before he dropped down and landed in the water.

He looked around and brought up his shotgun. He was honestly curious as to what the hell the move would be as of the second. Aiden looked around before tilting his head before he sighed.

He looked around as he decided to question what was coming next. This mission as of the time? There was a lot of damn work on the table, so much they had to do. This wasn't going to end well if it came down to it.

The sooner he had to end this as of the time. He was going to be rather miffed if they hadn't the ability to properly scout out the planet. Then again? He expected that to go to someone else, he was simply a mere soldier and that mission hadn't yet fallen to him either way at the time. Aiden waited for any word they were to get onto the mission at hand, anything to cut the boredom from his mind.

"Major, can you read me?" Aiden heard as he blinked and tapped his earpiece on his helmet to make sure he was properly listening to the commander.

"Crystal clear, captain. Sir? I've reached the area. It's deep water, a real scum pit like back home if I'm being honest. The place doesn't exactly wreak of hospitality, honestly? I don't know what the hell is going to happen if we don't take this place down." Aiden stated before he raised his weapon ahead and into the air.

He glanced around at the deep swamp water. He was not stupid enough to not assume they didn't have mines or some sort of defenses ready. He was also not stupid enough to handle this as it came down to it.

He had a mission to do, one which had been important to the Militia and their allies. They had been fighting a war against the rest of the enemy which had been going on as long as he had been born… And now? He was seeing the cracks in their armor, every chip which made them vulnerable. They were breaking down with each day, losing supplies, losing a lot more ships and soldiers at the second. This would soon be the end of the war.

'They can't get reinforcements to the part of the galaxy we're in and they lost the fold weapon. Each day Admiral Graves breaks through more and more of their fleet. They're going to be cut down sooner or later. If they were smart? They'd have already accepted that.' Aiden thought to himself before he sighed and started to question what the hell was going on in all honesty.

Some sort of dropship flew overhead. It didn't look like a Goblin drop ship nor anything belonging to the IMC. He'd frown more if it wasn't because they had more pressing concerns to handle, ones that could and would decide the fate of the war.

"Their only blocking communications off-the world and not all communications?" Aiden questioned as of the second.

It'd be a lot more hopeful before it came down to it. If they knew enough about the enemy? Then they could also know more about the Militia. They didn't need another war. They didn't wish for one when it happened to their topics.

Still? More training was to be needed; more supplies were to be required on this end of the mission. He slowly yet surely seemed to push himself forward before he turned and looked at it.

There was nothing that seemed out of place… But damn if he didn't see anything at the time he liked here. He was going to be as of the second. He'd become as of the time when it came down to at the second.

He stared up into the sky before slowly starting to drag himself through the water and stared around before he hummed to himself. He was going to be unhappy when it came the time.

"We need to keep going or we're going to die sooner or such when it came down to it," Aiden said while he hummed before he titled his head to the side.

There was a lot more on their mind, he pushed it back as he hummed to himself.

"There are a lot more soldiers here, this is also a major military base from what we appear to be seeing, Major." Aiden heard as he hummed before he sighed to himself.

he raised an eyebrow under his helmet, glancing around before he hummed to do next. He was going to be hopeful.

"And how many soldiers have I beaten before now? This isn't that hard compared to what we deal with daily, sir." Aiden said while he hummed to himself.

He cracked his fingers and slowly started to look around before he slowly started to walk forward. Another dropship slowly started to pass overhead. Aiden hummed before he tilted his head and crossed his arms.

"That does not make it a lot easier when it comes down to it, Major, there is still a battalion or such of soldiers in the path of the mission. I do not see it as easy to defeat so many soldiers." Aiden heard as he rolled his eyes himself.

He was well aware of how many soldiers a base might hold. He still expected Havoc who was a titan to know how dangerous and capable a pilot was. they were the best of the best in either army and people knew that.

It seemed the titan whom he piloted into battle didn't since he was still questioning what was to come if they failed.

"Why do you always have so little faith in me, Hav? I've been on missions before. I wouldn't be where I was now without being able to back up what I can do." Aiden pointed out as Havoc fell silent.

"That does not fill me with the human emotion of reassurance, Major. The IMC still has over 1000 soldiers and even with most of their army defeated? They still control several key strategic planets. That? Combined with the remnant fleet under the control of the AI Spyglass, contributes heavily to the idea the war may still rage for at least 1 year." Havoc added before Aiden hummed.

"If it was so easy for us to win? We wouldn't be at war with the IMC. They ain't got much left, Hav. We both know that there's going to be a victory coming soon if we keep trying. So, for the love of the galaxy? Just have some damn faith in this." Aiden stated as he turned off the radar.

Still? There were more than enough problems coming and he didn't know what was coming.
