It has been a few days since we beat Gakko and we were all currently on the way to the forest of forever fall. In those few days, many things happened some good and some bad.
I have spent much time with Jaune's team and have gotten to the point where I thought of them as friends. I also have to figure out each of their personalities. Nora is a happy-go-lucky, bubbly, and playful person, but she can also be a bit too loud when she talks or gets excited. Ren is very calm and deliberate when he talks or does something. Pyrrha is a friendly person that is very relaxed when you don't care about her being famous, and she is also a pushover.
The thing about Pyrrha being famous was something of a surprise for both I and Jaune, while everyone already knew that. Pyrrha is so renowned that she is called the pride of Mistral, and we just learned about it. How did Jaune and I not know that she was literally the pride of a country?
Then we have the bad news.
We have gotten onto the news, and they tried to make us look like villains instead of heroes. I mean, we fought off a giant monster and some buildings got destroyed and now we are the bad guys. There is no pleasing people.
My reputation with the Faunuskind had dropped to below zero. I was hated by most of the Faunus students because somehow they got word of what I said in the classroom about Faunus. So I was now labeled a racist. But I mostly didn't care about that.
I and Cardin have now gotten to the point where it's on sight. It was on sight now, we had gotten into fights in classrooms, dining halls, and even in the city. It had gotten so bad that we needed separate classrooms for the teachers to teach us. I have also fought with each one of his teammates at some point in time, and I'm pretty sure every one of them hates me.
Me and Weiss team still don't get along. Ruby is the only person I get along with on that team because she is just too nice to be mean to. Yang doesn't like me because she thinks I'm a bad influence on her baby sister. I know why she thinks that, I have tried to teach Ruby to swear like a sailor, but Ruby is just too nice to say any of the words to people. But one day, I will get her to swear at someone.
Then we have me and Blake.
The two of us have gone into a full-on passive-aggressive war of words. Every time she tried to get under my skin, I would say something about Faunus that was extremely hurtful and make fun of them relentlessly in front of her, I even added the White fang. That would make her mad, then she would shout at me while I kept making fun of the Faunus and the White Fang.
"Why is this red." I asked anyone that would listen to me as I looked down at the red sap that we were supposed to collect. I turned around to see Nora eating the sap we had collected. "Stop eating the sap." I shouted before I ran after Nora, who tried to run away.
"They are full of energy like normal." Pyrrha giggles into her hand as she watches Nora and Jack running around. This had become a regular occurrence, with the two of them being like a mouse and a cat. Nora was usually the mouse and Jack was the cat.
"This is the first time, I have seen someone match her energy." Ran admitted as he filled a jar of sap. Ren wasn't lying when he said that, as long as he have know Nora, she was always full of energy. With that much energy, Nora never found someone to match it until now.
"They can put that energy into collecting the sap." Weiss chimed in as she came up from behind the two.
"Come on Weiss, let the two of them have fun." Pyrrha said to the Schnee while Weiss just huffed. Pyrrha took note of Weiss not being with her team. "Why aren't you with your team." Pyrrha asked the Atlasian before the white-haired woman sighed.
"Blake is being her usual self about me being friends with a racist." Weiss looked down to the ground with a frown on her. "I still don't understand why she is still on this topic. I mean, Jack will never change, he will still just be nice to Luna and not any other Faunus." Pyrrha could understand where Weiss was coming from.
Ever since that day in the classroom, Blake has done nothing but try and turn everyone against jack. The Mistralian could see where she was coming from, but she couldn't agree with the methods that she has been using. Pyrrha looks over to Jack, who was on the ground while Nora was grappling with him.
She just couldn't see Jack being a racist, she knew that he was not the nicest person around, but he was still respectful if you show him respect. She had also seen how caring he can be toward Luna, it was to the point of overprotectiveness. The champion could remember the day when Luna came with a friend that was a boy. She will never forget how he glared at the boy all day. She was pretty sure that the boy had nightmares now.
"Let me go." Both females turned their heads to see Jack holding Nora in a choke hold." Choke holds are illegal." Nora cried out while Jack was grinning like a child.
"Show me the paperwork."
"I will send Renny at you."
"I think that's enough." Weiss called out before they separated the two.
"Hey, I was winning." I shouted as Pyrrha held onto me. I looked at Nora who blew me a raspberry and I was visibly offended. "Hey, did you see what she just did?" I shouted at Pyrrha, like a child telling their mother that their sibling did something terrible.
"Yes I did, I'll tell her off when we get back to Beacon." Pyrrha said motherly while Nora deflated, and I gave out a satisfying sound. Weiss felt like she was watching a mother dealing with her children.
"AHAHA, mother Pyrrha is siding with me." I told Nora triumphantly, while Pyrrha spluttered out in embarrassment.
"I'll get father Jaune on my side." Nora shouted before she ran to where Jaune was. Before I could run after her, someone stopped me before I turned to see Weiss.
"You still need to fill up those jars." She ordered me before I huffed but did what I was told.
"Stupid Weiss."
"What was that."
"Nothing."
I ran away from her and into the forest.
"I'm completely lost." I said to myself as everything looks the same. How in the world did I get lost in a Grimm-infested forest, and how will I get out? "Maybe the right, no the left." I was indecisive as I had no idea where I was going. "Fuck it. to the right." I shouted before I ran. As I was running, I met a few Grimm that was pretty easy to kill and just kept running.
While running, I noticed metal threads flash before my eyes before I ducked under it. I saw some more metal threads before I started to jump and dodge each one. After a few seconds of dodging the metal threads, I jumped over the last one before I looked back behind me. I saw each one of the metal threads before I let out a sigh as it was over.
"You dodge them, great job." My head snapped back to see Dave up in a tree. "Long time no see, Jack…" he didn't get to finish before I destroyed the tree he was on. He jumped down to the ground while having a smile on his face. "I'm not here to fight you." I scoffed at that.
"Why should I believe you."
"You really shouldn't."
I threw a punch at his face, but he caught it and turned my whole body around before pushing me into a tree. He held both my wrists with his right hand while having his left hand on my hip. Our foreheads meet with him leaning slightly down since he's an inch taller than me. I glared at him while he had a rather coy smile on him. I suddenly realized our position on the tree before I felt an odd sensation.
"This feels oddly sexual."
"I can make it a wet dream if you want."
I was shocked into silence by that suggestion while he just looked perfectly innocent. I looked at him before the ground and back up at him and back to the ground. Then I spoke without thinking.
"Are you gay?" He smile as Christmas came early, and I felt scared by that.
"I wouldn't say that I'm gay, I am just a person who is attracted to people who are physically strong, like you." I kicked the bastard in the groin and he let out a pained sound, before I jumped away, trying to protect my chastity.
"You stay away from my manhood." I shouted at him while covering it with my hands.
"You kick like a girl."
"You look like one."
Dave started to chuckle at that weak comeback while I blushed in embarrassment. What in the twin brother gods is going on here?
"So, can we talk?" I sighed before I nodded at him and he smiled. "Great." He said before he walked over to two closer trees before breaking into pieces we could sit on. The motion is to sit down and I get so, I still had my guard up as I didn't believe for a second that he wouldn't attack me.
"What did you wanna talk about." I said hesitantly before he looked at me with a coy smile.
"I want you to join me." He answered nonchalantly as my eyes widen. I stood up before I started to walk away while he ran after me. "Wait, just let me explain it." He cried out.
"No."
"Don't be like that."
"I'll be like that."
"Stop being such a jackass." Before I knew what happened, I pulled my arm up and block a kick that would have broken my neck.
"You are not helping your case." I said to him but he just smiled at me. I tried to throw a punch but he countered it, with his own punch that landed first. "Fuck you, Dave." I said before I fell to the ground.
"I'm sorry but you tried to hit me." Dave said as he turned his back to me. "Now if…" I push him down to the ground. He rolled around and looked at me with shock. "Did you just push me?" I nodded. "What are you, five." I frown at that comment from him.
"Your mother is five."
"Then your mother is two."
"Your mother sucks."
"Your mother never loved you."
"Jokes on you, I know that my mother doesn't love me"
We both glared at each other as if we were siblings ready to fight each other. It didn't take long before the two of us started to fight each other if you can even call it fighting. Both of us were rolling on the ground like when two siblings were fighting each other. Of course, it didn't take long before we both complained.
"Hey no biting."
"You bit me first."
"No, I didn't."
"Yes you did."
Both of us were breathing heavily as the fight turned out to be a draw.
"Can we now talk?" Dave asked as he looked at me, and I just tiredly nodded. "I want you to join my side and leave the rangers."
"Get to the point."
"The point is that you are a killer." I froze when he said that, how in the world did he know that? "I met a pretty lady who filmed you killing a bunch of people in an alleyway, don't worry she is dead now and the film is gone." Dave said as he saw the worried look I had.
"So just because I killed some people, you want me to join you." I scoffed at the reason before he gave me a deadpan look.
"That's not the only reason." His smile turned menacing. "It took me a long time, but I know why there are no specific dates of you ever being born in this world. Because this is not your world." I felt like someone took my lifeline away when I heard him say that. "I assume that your friends don't know about this."
"They know what they need to know." I said to him, while Weiss and Jaune knew, nobody else had to know. "Besides it's not like anyone is going to believe you when you say that I'm from another world." I smiled at him while he frown at me. "From the frown you gave me, you didn't think this far." His frown deepened at my words while I started to chuckle at him.
"Jack, where are you." I could hear the sounds of Weiss before I looked to the side to see her walking toward me. I turned back to Dave to see that he was gone and I piece of paper was on the ground. I picked it up and see an address on it.
I looked at the big ass club in front of me, and I could see the long line of people waiting to get in. I looked at the two security guards, both wearing black suits and red sunglasses. From what I heard about this club it was run by a guy named Junior Xiong who was a known information broker. He also was the boss of his own gang and he had two women that were Melanie and Miltia Malachite, both had aura and knew how to fight.
I started to walk toward the club's entrance before the two bodyguards stopped me. I looked at the two tall males that looked down at me. Just when I was about to open my mouth, someone spoke before me.
"He is with me guys." I looked forward to seeing Dave waving at me before I was let in. Once I was in the club, I was blasted with ridiculously loud music that wasn't even good. We made it to the bar before we both sat down while Dave ordered some drinks. It didn't take long before he handed me one of the drinks and I looked at him.
"You think that you can buy my trust with cheap booze." I asked him as I was offended by the suggestion. He gave me a look before I took the drink. "Then you are correct." I drank the whole thing in a second, before letting out a satisfying sigh. "This is good." Dave smile like he usually did.
"They have the best drinks in town."
"Just not good music."
Both of us chuckled at that before we fell into companionable silence. Neither one of us wanted to be the first one to start the conversation we knew we needed to have.
"Have you given any thought about joining my side?" Dave asked as he took a sip of his drink.
"You already know the answer." I could hear Dave let out a sigh.
"I'd like us to have a discussion." Dave started out by saying. "We may indeed be on different sides, but we both are mass serial killers, ready to kill anyone in our way. But I'm sure that we can find some common ground." Dave said before I truly looked at him for the first time. This was the third time we meet and he was a lot calmer.
"We are nothing alike." I told him in a serious tone." Nothing about us is alike, we both may do such terrible things, but I have a line I will never cross." I glared at him while he looks bored. "You don't have a line, that is why you are unhinged. How could I ever get along with someone like you?"
"I don't understand all of your melodramatic nonsense." Dave finish his drink before he looked at me. "But I will not be shamed by you or anyone else." I gripped my glass hard enough for it to break.
"Shamed." I snapped at him. "You have been going around massacring villages, and you think that I'm shaming you:" I laugh in his face, and he couldn't deny it. It has been all over the news of villages getting destroyed in the night, leaving no one alive.
"Stop talking like you have any virtues in yourself." Dave snapped at me. "In this world, evil can arise from the best intentions, and there is good which can come from evil intentions. I just picked the side of evil." I was about to say something but he cut me off. "I believe in Dai Shi's words that humans should be destroyed and that beasts and animals should rule the planet." Dave glared at me. "I bet you love killing people." Something snapped inside me.
"You know, I never understood how people could delight in hurting others." I spoke slowly and deliberately. "You see when you take life, you live in fear because deep down you know someday your life will be taken as well. When you harm others, you really only harm yourself." I started to think about Luna, Weiss, Jaune, Fren, and RJ. "It's simple, if you want good things to happen in your life, you have to be good. That's why I try and make up for my bad deeds by doing as much good as I can to the people I treasure before I get killed."
"I know that I am a horrible person. I have killed many people in this life. More than ever thought I would. But I will never intentionally hurt the people I care for." I looked at Dave. "So If I have to become a monster to kill you, I will." I said before I walked out of the club.
"You will regret not joining me."
Those were the last words of heard.
"That's too slow." I said as I dodge one of Luna's attacks with ease before I swept her leg out of her. She fell down to the training floor at the Beacon, and She let out a pained groan.
Luna jumped up from the ground, before trying to kick me in the groin, but I dodged it. I delivered a kick powerful enough to send her to the other side of the training ground. A violet color flash around her body as her aura protected her from the damage before she came running at me. The Faunus girl kept attacking me while I dodge the attack before my mind started to wander.
It was the next day when I met with Dave and I couldn't help but wonder, why he said that I was shaming him. Was there a reason for him feeling shame at what he has become or something else? Whatever it was, I need to know, if I could use it against him in any way.
That wasn't the only thing I need to find out, In the video, he told me about me murdering the gang. Did he really delete it or was he just lying to make me believe him? If he didn't delete it, why didn't he use it as blackmail or did he intend to use it for a different purpose?
Then we have Luna, who has been acting weird ever since the rumor about me being racist came out. She barely talks to me anymore and she has been spending a lot of her time with team RWBY and JNPR, which I didn't have a problem with. But damn it hurt not getting to spend time with her like normal. I missed having my little sister around.
I let out a sigh as things were getting more complicated.
"That was too obvious, too weak, this one is better." I commented on every one of her attacks so that she could know what she did right and wrong. I could see the anger on her face as she couldn't land one hit on me, while I smiled at her smugly, only to get her angrier. "If you are going to get angry, use it to get stronger instead of getting clouded by the angrier you are feeling." I told her before I backflip away from her.
"Shut up." She shouted at me before she ran at me with rage in her heart. I notice her losing control over herself. "Yang gets angry all the time in her fight against other students and beats them, so why can't I." I dodge an arc kick before I answered her.
"Being angry may help motivation, but being rattled and losing control like Yang does not help you if you are going up against someone that can take advantage of the loss of control." I showed her before kicking her at her side she left open because of her rage. She felt the hit, if the pained face she was showing me, was anything to go by. While she didn't have time to react to me, I started to attack her with my own attacks.
"The best way to beat someone that is faster than you is to kick them in the groin or hit them in the joints, reduce their mobility. If they are stronger than you, you need to think more and look at your surroundings for any weapons used against them. Using weapons is never cowardly, remember this." I told her and I didn't understand where all this knowledge came from. Did I get all this knowledge from the fight against the students, Rinshi, and killing people?
We kept fighting for a few more minutes before I decided that we had enough training for today. I looked down at the heavily breathing Faunus and I had to admit that she lasted longer than I expected.
"How are you not winded from this." Luna asked as her chest was raising and falling. I looked at her smugly before I decided to poke her around her body while she glared at me. "You are loving the fact that I'm on the ground tired and can't do anything about this."
"Yes." I didn't even try to deny it, she glared even harder now. "Take a shower while I go and get us something to eat." I said to her before I tried to walk out of the room before Luna asked me a question.
"Do you hate Faunus?" I almost stopped immediately when I heard those words before I turned to her. My mouth was agape as I tried to find the words to answer but nothing came out. I decided to try and play it off.
"Of course I hate them, they are just a bunch of animals." I joked as I tried to make my laugh sound genuine, as this wasn't a conversation I wanted.
"Stop joking, I'm asking you a serious question here, do you hate them." Luna shouted at me and I took a step back. I looked at her while she looked at me for a few seconds before I turned and started to walk away.
"I'm not having this conversation."
"Why not."
"Because I said so."
"Do you hate Faunus like me?" Luna glared at the back of the teenager in front of her before pulling the last straw. "Or do you just tolerate me because I look like your sister?" It felt like I was on Mount Everest and I froze when I heard those words. I looked at her with nothing but shock in my eyes.
"How do you know about her." The wolf Faunus gave me a sad look.
"You talk a lot about her in your sleep, and you mentioned one time how we looked identical." Luna said before looking up at me with tear-filled eyes. "Did you pick me up the street because you saw something in me, or was it just because I looked like your sister." I looked away as she wasn't wrong.
I may have been treating her like my sister, subconsciously since she looked like her so much. And that was an important factor in why I picked her off the street. but I never thought that she would figure it out.
"No…I mean you kind… But not like it…" I stumbled upon my words as I tried to tell her it wasn't because she looks like my sister. The seven-year-old let out a sound that sounded more like crying. "Hey, no need to cry, Sarah." I tried to reach out to comfort her, but she slapped my hand away.
"I'm Luna, not Sarah." She ran off while I shouted after her.
"Luna wait."
I let out a sigh as my day was getting worst.
Luna was currently running down Beacon's large hallways as tears were going down from her eyes to her cheeks. She ran for as long as her legs could carry her before she fell onto the floor because of exhaustion. She tried her best to get up but she was too tired to move before she just started to cry out loud in the empty hallways.
She cried for what felt like hours until she couldn't cry anymore. The little wolf girl started to sniffle before she wiped her tears away. She couldn't believe that in all those times she spent together with Jack, he use her as an outlet for him to see her as his dead sister. Were all the times they spent together fake and he didn't see her for her, but as a replacement for the one he loved?
Suddenly, she started to remember all the times he called her an animal. Did he not mean that in an affection-like manner, but as a way that he truly hated Faunus and thought of her as an animal? Her eyes widen as she thought about Weiss, Jaune, and RJ. Did they know about this and just ignored it? She could feel the hate bubble inside her as the thoughts ran through her mind.
Luna had heard a lot about the Schnee and how they treated Faunus like her, but Weiss was different, she was nice, kind, and gentle. The same could be said about Jaune, RJ, and all her friends but was that all fake so that Jack could use her as a replacement?
"What is even real anymore." Luna asked herself as the world screwed around with her. First, her brother went missing, second, she finds her brother's doppelganger that treats her like family. Then she started finding humans that like her and did not treat her dirty because she is a Faunus. But now all of that was being torn apart because she found out that he has been using her as a replacement for his dead sister.
"I thought I heard the sound of an animal crying." Luna's head snapped back as she saw the last person she wanted to see. It was Cardin and his whole team, and all of them were glaring down at her. The leader of team CRDL moved forward as Luna was backing away from him in fear.
"What do you want, bastard." Luna tried to sound brave but her voice tremble because she already had been crying. The four teenagers saw her vulnerability and Cardin decided to take advantage of it. Luna didn't have time to dodge and the orange-haired boy took a hold of her ears and pulled. The wolf girl let out a scream of pain.
"Your bastard brother has been giving us a hard time, and I think it's time for payback." Cardin said before kicking her into a wall. Since Luna was exhausted from the running and training she did, her aura broke easily and she felt the full force of the kick. Luna quickly got up from the ground and tried to run away, but she was unable to flee after getting kicked in the stomach, by Russel.
"You are not going to run away from us." Russel cackled, before kicking her in the face, and blood came out of her mouth. "Your brother broke my arm and I think I should see how he likes seeing his sister's arm broken." Luna's eyes widen before she started to try and make a run for it a second time.
She was not fast enough and was caught by both Dove and Sky as both took a hold of her. Luna started to thrash around like a wild animal before the two teenagers slammed her to the floor. The Faunus let out a scream of pain before they pulled one of her arms to the opened side. The child tried to fight it but they were much stronger than her. Tears started to run down as Russel placed his feet over her arm before pulling the leg upward.
"Big brother." Luna screamed out in desperation as the boys cackles evilly at her.
"You brother is…" Before Russel could finish his body disappeared. The three boys looked around in confusion before they heard the crunching of bones coming from the side. They all looked to see Jack with a murderous smile while holding onto the dead body, of the green-haired boy. The body was cut in half and bones were coming out of his skin.
"With blood and rage of crimson red." Jack ripped the head of the dead corpse. "Ripped from a corpse so freshly dead. Together with my hellish hate, I will burn you all, that is your fate." Jack rhymes while not taking his eyes off the three boys.
"No one hurt my sister."
All that could be heard, was the crunching of bones and the screams of despair.
