Chapter 36: The Menacing Manipulating Mouse of the Mountain
By going through the Projector, the Toonateers discovered that Mickeyjunk Mountain looked greener and some more artwork of forgotten and scrapped Disney characters and deleted scenes in the Movies and TV Shows, despite the remaining Mickey Junk still there. They are located at the Heaps of the Mountain.
"Gosh, Mickeyjunk Mountain looks brighter than the last time I visited," Mickey commented.
"Mickeyjunk Mountain? Is it the place where all of the wrong probabilities and remarks of Mickey end up at? Yak yak yak yak yak yak," Turpley joked.
"Ha ha, very funny. The last worst comeback I ever encountered during my career was in 1936 when a segment of unhappy parents disapproved of my character's bad behavior. Costed me to do a redesign of my appearance too," Mickey said.
"I wonder what I would look like if I did a redesign," said Oswald.
Mickey then starts to imagine Oswald redesign but begins to see him during the Three Musketeers, as Van Helsing in Count Mickey Dragul by Twisted-wind and Disnesia by Simplistic-Elegance.
"I think you would be more masculine, charming, and edgy," Mickey said.
"Eh?" Oswald and Ortensia, confused.
As the Toonateers walked around, Oswald says, "Back then, I used Mickeyjunk Mountain to place every Mickey-related item there due to my past grudges and where I guard the Blot in the Thinner Jug. But now it has become where Disney-rejected and deleted items end up. And with the Thinner Seas gone, it became a bit brighter."
"So, it's just a junkyard mountain," said Turpley.
"In a literal way, yes."
Tintley then went over to an Alice Comedies poster and said, "Hey, Mickey. Did your creator make this?"
"Yes. Before the Disney Company came to be, he was part of the Laugh-O-Gram Studio, where he took pictures similar to fairy tale stories, but Alice Comedies was the first tv series he ever made. Tales about a girl Alice doing adventures in a cartoon world."
"There's something about the cat holding the birthday cake for Alice," Ortensia commented.
"I'm sorry, but we don't talk about Julius. By copying another famous character's appearance, he was a disgrace to the Disney name, yet that's how Daddy Disney made him that way."
"You know, just spoke of him, right?" Gus corrected him.
"I guess I can't hide it. You see, Ozzie-san. Julius is what got you, and I created. So basically, he's the first forgotten Toon out of everyone."
"Wha-? If he was forgotten, how come he didn't end in Wasteland?" Oswald questioned.
"I was curious about that too. I guess he seized to exist since he looked at a competitor's certain cat character that he didn't make it. Yet I wish I could meet him. Julius is likely our eldest brother."
Tintley and Turpley look closer at Julius and start to encounter another memory. They wrote in their Arts of Paint and Thinner Book at the Heart-Shaped Island laboratory.
"So far, we managed to get the Paint Sauces to go into crystal form and send it to the Toons. And thanks to the Paint Sauces and Thinner Inks, we were able to create critters and items with different colors besides blue and green," said Tintley.
The two Guardian Fairies looked over to a white rabbit eating a carrot while a black mouse was playing with a red ball.
"Is there anything else we can create besides animals and items?" Turpley asked.
"Have we ever tried making a Toon?" Tintley said.
"I don't think so. Want to try it?"
"Like Papa Devi L said, taking risks is part of the road to success."
"Sounds great, but what kind of Toon shall we make?"
They go to the Toon Heart Orb and look into it to watch the Wastelanders' daily lives.
"The cat lady seems to stand out the most despite having babies with the rabbit guy, and those four quadruplets mean cats. Why not we give her a cat friend and maybe a friend for the rabbit too?" Tintley suggested.
"I found these washed up on the beach," said Turpley, taking out pictures of Julius the Cat and Fanny Cottontail during Oswald the Lucky Rabbit series.
"How strange that these two are Toons, yet they didn't end up here. Probably ceased to exist that you can only find them on drawings and shorts."
"Let's try and give them life. First, we must research the Toon Body, study its functions, and understand how it's made."
"I wonder if Mother Angel and Papa Devi L have any books on Toon Anatomy we can borrow."
"Did we hear our names being called?" Mother Angel said, coming over with Papa Devi L.
"You two Guardian Fairies need something?" Papa Devi L asks.
"Yes. Do you think you find any books on Toon Anatomy?" Tintley asks.
"Huh?! Tintley, are you sure? Your innocence might collapse at what you'll read from it."
"Turpley and I want to try and create some Toons. If we can make some, we need as much research and information on Toon bodies."
"If you say so. Mother Angel and I will look into it."
"Don't come running to us if the books will find makes uncomfortable," Mother Angel said.
"Okay," said Tintley and Turpley.
When the memory ends, the Playing Cards: Jack Trade, Decker, and Ace of Spades came running to the Toonateers to give a sault.
"King Oswald, sir!" said three Playing Cards.
"Jack Trace, Decker, and Ace of Spades, what's the report?" Oswald asks.
"BlotToons are coming to this area, sire," said Jack Trade.
"The Playing Cards are fighting them as we speak," Decker added.
"We've located the captured Disney Princess close to the empty Jug," said Ace of Spades.
"Understood," Oswald responded.
"Disney Princess Merida must be here. Mountains are great places to study archery," said Mickey.
"Yahoo! Our toys," said a voice.
"Oh, no. Not them again."
Everyone looks up and sees the three Generals kicking their feet while sitting at the top of the Heaps.
"How embarrassing that your brother would lock all your junk away, Mickey," BlotToon Mickey continued. "Anyway, foolish Toons, there are new dictators of the BlotToon Army, and it's us. So you may call us the three Dictators."
"What happened to Big Bad Pete?" Tintley asks.
"Good question, Paint Guardian Fairy. Why not ask him for yourself?"
After BlotToon Mickey snaps his fingers, jumping out from behind is Big Bad Pete; however, he is the size of Julius from the 1995 short Runaway Brain and looks like when he was Blot Spirit, but his right arm, teeth, gloves, and pegleg are average. He landed before a cave that led to The Piles.
Mickey's eyes shrunk in shock while Tintley and Turpley held onto his shoulders. Oswald and Ortensia embrace each other as their jaw drops. Gus is still afraid but falls to the floor when he stops flying.
After deep breathing, Turpley said straightly, "Aaaaah!"
"Great wrenches and screwdrivers! What did you do to Big Bad Pete?!" Gus shocked.
"Poor Big Bad Pete was so desperate," BlotToon Oswald continued while BlotToons Mickey and Ortensia floated downward to sit on Big Bad Blot-Pete's shoulders. "Since you captured his Pete cousins, he desired the power that would make him strong enough to defeat you. We just gave him what he wanted."
Then BlotToon Ortensia added, "However, he was blinded by not realizing what will cost him. So, he lost his will and control of himself that he stand down from his position to fight. So, we have to take his place in his steed."
"Basically, you tricked him into thinking he wants this "power," just so you can take over the BlotToons for your gain," said Mickey.
"Wow, you're more predicting than I thought," BlotToon Mickey commented.
"When you're a star icon actor of a famous Movie Company, you can easily analyze any situation that's outside the field."
"You're fun. I want to speak with you in private. But knowing how it will go, BlotToons, attack!"
A pack of BlotToons came out of the cave to attack the Toonateers. Quickly, the three Playing Cards called in reinforcement by pounding their spears to the ground. The Playing Cards protect the Toonateers as they attack the Toonateers.
"Go for the Hearts!" Oswald commanded.
"Yes, sir!" the Playing Cards reply.
But Big-Blot Pete then grabs Mickey, but his newfound strength squeezes him so hard that he screams in pain like a girl.
"Mickey!" Tintley and Turpley shouted in horror.
"Let me go, you gorilla monster pussy cat!" Mickey yelled.
"Let go of my half-brother, you puss in Blotty boots!" Oswald snapped.
But BlotToons Oswald and Ortensia got off of Big Blot Pete's shoulders to be before Mickey's team.
"Don't worry. We're borrowing him for a while," said BlotToon Mickey.
When Big Blot Pete runs into the cave with Mickey in his hand and BlotToon Mickey on his shoulder.
"What's the matter, Oswald? Didn't you want to fight me?" BlotToon Oswald said while putting his hand on BlotToon Ortensia's hip.
"Fine then. I want to take out my anger for someone stealing my brother from me!" Oswald cracked his neck.
"Let's make this a fair match," said BlotToon Ortensia.
BlotToon Oswald takes BlotToon Ortensia in his arms to share a kiss. But the kiss caused them to fuse in a smog of ink. Their fusion came out in the shape of Fanny Cottontail.
"Check it out, Oswald. We look just like your first love, Fanny Cottontail," said the fusion of BlotToons Oswald and Ortensia's voices combined.
"What?!" Oswald and Ortensia were shocked.
"Oh, Mickey didn't tell you? Whatever. Fight time."
The fusion then shows electricity between her ears while her hands morph into drills. As soon as she begins the attack, the scene changes to Mickey struggling to get from Big Blot Pete's grasp. Big Blot Pete stops at Mt. Osmore Slopes.
BlotToon Mickey climbs off Big Blot Pete's shoulder, saying, "Now that you're all nice and tuck tight in his fist. We can finally talk, Mickey."
"You know? My team and I never called you by your names. What should we call you?" Mickey questioned.
"Well, you should call Oswald's and Ortensia's BlotToons as BOswald and BOrtensia. Me? You can call me BM. Short for BlotToon Mickey. No, wait. How about BoMickey? Nah, that stinks! BMickey sounds better. No, you wait."
"Just pick one ALREADY!"
"Okay, okay. BM was right from the beginning."
"Whatever, BM."
"Look, Mickey. Why are you still there for them?"
"What?"
As Big Blot Pete sits down and holds Mickey with both hands, BM comes up to his face and continues, "Still there for the Company you work for?"
"Uh… I'm its mascot, icon, and best Toon ever. Plus, I'm doing two more tv series," Mickey confused.
"Second to Genie, according to the internet. Don't forget. You're Oswald's replacement."
"No, I'm not. Daddy Disney made me during his Oswald year."
"But he did switch his major priority to you. Does Disney even use you for movies anymore?"
"Uh…"
"Exactly! You haven't been on the movie screen as a star since 2004, Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas."
He continued as he circled Mickey while Mickey was deep in thought and looking upset, "How can you still work for the company that is trying to buy other major Film Industries to wipe out the competition and gain more power of it? The one that has been using you as a money bag. Pressuring you to do dumb and life-threatening stunts for the shows and films you go through. Admit it! You want to be free from the strict, mistreating, and Animated-abusive Company that wishes to throw out their popular Cartoons just because they can't see that Animation is for everyone! They don't even want to see the LGBTQ+ representation! It's like what they have done to the Owl House, am I right?"
This horrifies Mickey until BM grabs his face for them to look each other eye to eye while BM says, "I can end your pain if you want. You just got to let me-"
"MICKERS!" Oswald's voice was heard.
"Oh, gosh. It looks like BOswald and BOrtensia couldn't hold off your crazed blue big-bottom half-older brother of yours."
"What do you expect? He's been overprotective of me lately," Mickey replied.
The Fanny Cottontail Fusion came flying by a ram into the door into the Mt. Osmore Caverns. The impact caused BOswald and BOrtensia to defuse and slowly fall to the ground.
"That rabbit is tougher than he looks. We should've trained to fight more," said BlotToon Oswald, rubbing the back of his head.
"You think you have a headache from that?! His wife kicked us so hard that it made us defuse," said BlotToon Ortensia as the two got back on their feet.
"Probably jealous of seeing his first husband's love life."
Everyone turned to find Oswald running over with his eyes filled with rage and steam coming out of his ears.
"GIVE HIM BACK TO ME!" Oswald shouted.
"You heard him, Big Blot Pete. Give him back," BlotToon Mickey demanded.
Big Blot Pete then throws Mickey towards Oswald, making him scream before ramming into his brother. Ortensia, Gus, Tintley, and Turpley came over to see Mickey on top of Oswald.
"I didn't know brotherly love was shown like that," Turpley commented.
"Turpley!" the half-brothers yelled as they got back on their feet.
"Mickey, are you okay?! Did they hurt you?" Oswald holds Mickey's face in concern.
"Hey, Mickey! I hope you'll think about the words I spoke to you about," BM said once he, BOswald, and BOrtensia got on Big Blot Pete's shoulders.
This hurts Mickey into holding his mouth and getting on his knees.
"Mickey, hang in there," said Gus.
Big Blot Pete then starts to climb toward the top of Mickeyjunk Mountain.
"They're getting away," Tintley exclaimed.
"We can go through Mt. Osmore Caverns to catch up. Let's hurry," Oswald said as the Toonateers went through it.
"Mickey, they mentioned you didn't tell about Fanny Cottontail. Who is that?" Ortensia questioned.
"I thought that bunny was Ortensia's old appearance," Oswald said.
"Look, Fanny used to be Oswald's first love, but she was then replaced with Ortensia. Right now, Fanny is viewed as Oswald's sister. I want to tell you about it, but it might lead to bad conversation," Mickey responds.
"Yeah, it might. But I think Fanny seized to exist," said Turpley.
"That's good to hear," said Ortensia.
This scares everyone around her while Gus says, "Sometimes, you scare me, Ortensia."
Mickey then thought, "BM might be right. Why do I still work for a company like Disney? Did Daddy Disney create me for losing Ozzie-san?"
