Chapter 39: Reinforming The Lucky Rabbit

The Toonateers came out of the Projector to find themselves at Skull Island. But the place is green enough for flora to flourish, and the Thinner Ocean is replaced with Neutral Guardian Waters. The Pirates are seen fighting the BlotToons on the Island while Mr. Smee is close to the entrance of the Island.

"Mr. Smee, what is the meaning of this?" Oswald goes over to him.

"Oswald, I'm glad you all made it. We minded our business on Skull Island until the BlotToons arrived to take our Island," he continued. "They even brought some monster that goes through the seas and breathes Thinner Fire."

"What about the Dictators and their Blot-infused Pete pet?"

But when Oswald gets grabbed from behind by Big Blot Pete with the three Dictators on his shoulders.

"Did someone call us? This time we need to borrow the Lucky Rabbit," said BM.

"If you don't put me down, I will bite your musclehead bodyguard so hard that he will gain rabies," Oswald yelled, struggling to escape.

"Oswald, did you ditch your rabies shot again?!" Ortensia was suspicious.

"No…It's not like I do that to every shot I need to get…."

"It's bad to lie to your wife," BOrtensia said while she and BM climbed off Big Blot Pete.

Big Blot Pete walks off, so BOrtensia morphs her hand into axes, and BM enlarges his hands.

"Try and not see us coming," said BM before slashing the ground for Blot Tentacles to surround themselves and the rest of the Toonateers.

"Yeah, I'm out of here," Mr. Smee runs away.

"This is new," said Gus.

But when he grabbed a tentacle, Gus said, "This is unprecedented and highly likely to come since I never fight for my own battles."

When Mickey is clawed on the back by BM, he groans in pain while Tintley heals him with Paint.

"You should've taken our deal. I'm afraid I have to take the Guardian Fairies by force," said BM.

"Over my dead body," said Ortensia, colliding her drill hands onto her counterpart's axe hands.

"Sounds like a good idea," BOrtensia responds.

As Mickey uses his Paintbrush, BM grabs hold of it. But BM screamed in pain as the Paintbrush sucked up some of his ink and entered the head of the Brush. He quickly lets go when his hands grow back to normal.

"No fair! You upgraded that Paintbrush to exterminate anything made from Blot. And it weakens me a bit, too," BlotToon Mickey gripping his hand in pain.

"Just like it did to some of the Blot remains that were once on me," Mickey continued. "Try and touch me this time, BM. Cause with my Brush, I'm going to suck you in!"

"Eh? So, you're finally admitting? Do you want to do intense combat sports with guys now? Are you going to cheat on Minnie with me? But I won't go easy on you."

"WHAT?! Yuck! Heck, no!"

"What does he mean by sport?" Tintley asks innocently.

"You seriously forget everything we've learned from Toon Anatomy?!" Turpley annoyed.

Back with the grip-trapped Oswald, Big Blot Pete is sitting at the top of the Island while BOswald slides down his arm to get close to Oswald.

"Now that we're alone. Are you aware that Disney has been buying up other Movie Companies, Ozzie-san?" BOswald asks while playing with Oswald's ears.

"That's absurd! Disney would never do that. And only, Mickers can call me by that…and maybe my wife," he responds.

"Come now. You heard the rumors, have you? ABC, Touchstone Pictures, Marvel, Lucasfilm, Pixar, Hollywood Records, and Core Publishing. Even Pixar came back to them when they left them once. They have 80 percent of ESPN as ownership. They even have 50% holding of A&E, The History Channel, and Lifetime with the Hearst Corporation. But I'm sure they're planning to make full-time theirs. And there's Vice Media, owned by Disney by 10%. But I doubt they don't have an idea of making it theirs by a hundred percent."

"But why would they? Daddy Disney wouldn't have wanted that."

"You know you don't belong with Disney, right? Universal Studios would've loved to take you back."

This shocks Oswald into breathing heavily before BOswald continues while circling the upset rabbit, "For a Lucky Rabbit, you always get the worst of luck. Being taken away and then forgotten. Even after Mr. WD became so rich and powerful enough to be able to repurchase you, he didn't. Maybe he didn't want to face his mistake of losing you. Oswald, why do you still hope the company will get you back on tv? You will always suffer from being unwanted."

"You're…You're lying!" Oswald yelled.

But when BlotToon Oswald grabbed his ears and said, "You want freedom from the pain of Disney. I can feel it. I'll let you have it if you let me do one favor."

But BM and BOrtensia arrived weakened. They looked so weak that BlotToon Ortensia was walking on all fours while BlotToon Mickey rode her like a horse.

BOswald exclaims at seeing them like this, "BM and BOrtensia, what happened to you?!"

"That crazy Mouse's new-improved Paintbrush did this," BOrtensia responded.

"That's my little bro, Mickers!" Oswald said happily.

"Ugh! I hope you'll think about my words, Oswald. Call the Blotty Roger!" BOswald said.

After BlotToon Mickey whistled, the Jolly Roger, now covered in splotches of Blot Ink and run by the Animatronic Hook, was covered in bitemarks and ink splotches.

"Captain Hook! He lives!" Mr. Smee exclaimed in joy.

Mickey, Ortensia, Gus, Tintley, and Turpley try to climb to the Island's top as they spot the Blotty Roger.

"Captain Hook? I thought the Tic Toc finally ate him when Pete Pan fought him," said Mickey.

"You'll be surprised that we kept all the discard junk you thought was lost," said BOswald, before Big Blot Pete dropped Oswald onto the Toonateers, so they fell from where they were climbing.

"At least we got you back, Ozzie-san," said Mickey as the heroes got back on their feet.

Big Blot Pete carries the three Dictators onto the Blotty Roger and four sails off.

"Think about our words, Mickey and Oswald," said BM and BOswald.

This scared both half-Disney Brothers into gripping their hearts before Turpley shouted, "Uh, you're letting them get away."

"Mr. Smee, do you have your boat by chance?" Gus asks.

"Sorry, the BlotToons destroyed it during our fight," he responds.

"If only we can part the seas to make a pathway after them," said Oswald.

"Oswald, this isn't a movie," said Ortensia.

"Hey, Mickey. Your Paintbrush is glowing again," said Tintley, seeing it glowing in the color of the seas.

Mickey's eyes glow the same color as he takes out the Paintbrush.

"What…? Did you hear that? It's spoken. The Paintbrush is talking," Mickey said.

"I don't hear anything," Tintley said.

"Me either," Turpley added.

"And I have big ears, and I can't hear no voice from the Paintbrush," said Oswald, showing his ears shaped like megaphones.

"Maybe Mickey can only hear since he has it," Ortensia commented.

"Good theory there, Ortensia. What's it saying, Mickey?" Gus asks.

"It said, 'You can command the seas of Paint, Thinner and combined with me your hands. For your Heart is connected with the essences of my soul.' Wow. So, how do I part the seas?"

The Paintbrush starts to float Mickey's hands. As his Heart glows in red, the Neutral Guardian Seas parted to make a pathway forward, just like when Moses parted the Red Sea in the Bible, and Moana commanded the Sea to create a path like in her movie.

When Mickey's eyes and Heart stop glowing, the Paintbrush contains its glow and falls back into Mickey's hands.

"Wow! Not only my suspicion about it having a mind of its own was correct, but it answered my desires. So cool!" Mickey amused.

"But we can't catch up with the enemy in a footpace. Mad Doctor says about other surprises on my Remote. Maybe if I press a couple of buttons," said Oswald, pushing his Remote.

But after a couple of pushes, his Remote turned into a high-tech blue jeep for four that is somewhat familiar to Mickey's Car from Shifting Gears from Mickey Mouse 2013 with his face on it. The Toonateers and the Pirates whistled impressively.

"Hotcha-chaing for a hotrod! Thank you, Mad Doc! I call the driver's seat!" said Oswald, hopping in.

"Oswald, have you ever learned to drive?" Ortensia said while getting in the passenger seat.

"Who needs to learn how to drive in something this smokin'?"

When Mickey and Gus got in the backseat, they quickly buckled into two seatbelts after hearing Oswald's words. Tintley and Turpley were soon grabbed by Mickey when they got close to the Remote Oswald Jeep so that he could place them in his pockets.

"You two might want to stay in my pocket if you want to stay safe and possibly alive," Mickey said.

"Safety is important," said Tintley, ducking her head in his books.

"Along with living," Turpley added, going deeper into the pocket before pulling Tintley deeper in.

"So, the go button is this one, right?" Oswald said before pressing a button.

This caused the Remote Oswald Jeep to go into reverse and for them to crash into something off-scene.

"Oopsies. Maybe it's this one. Yep, that was it. Maybe I should ask Mad Doc to label the buttons," said Oswald before the jeep went forward down the path.

As the Toonateers drove off, the Pirates cheered for them in luck as Mr. Smee said, "Go get 'em, Toonateers. Good luck, and stay brave!"
