Lately, Maddie noticed a change in her son she couldn't wrap herself has been arriving home much later than usual in recent weeks, even by his standards. She thought he was still hung over his breakup with Sam. But that idea changed when, one day, in the living room, Danny walked toward the stairs, and she saw hickeys around the left side of his neck.
She thought, Oh my god, he's dating someone.
It makes sense why he came home late and made weird excuses for being late. She's not going to ask him about it. He would probably lie to her and say it was something else.
Later that night, with her husband Jack, she told him what she saw on Danny's neck and his reaction.
"Ah our son is back on the settle again," said Jack, who grinned from ear to ear
"I know, but why didn't he tell us?" said Maddie
"Perhaps he's keeping it a secret until the right time comes when he's dating someone?"
"Or maybe the girl he's seeing is a troublemaker?"
"Maddie, relax. All we have to do is wait. I'm sure Danny is dating a nice girl."
Meanwhile, in Danny's room, he was finishing up homework when his phone buzzed. He looked at his phone and saw a text from Bonnie.
"Doing anything on the weekend?"
Danny responded, "Not much, why?"
"Because me, Crystal, and Tara are going to Crystal's dad's beach house for the weekend. Want to come along?"
With no hesitation, he texted "Yes." Then he heard a scream outside and looked to see a couple of ghost gladiators making trouble.
