"And make sure to iron him twice!" Ryuko Matoi told the man at the dry cleaners. Normally Mrs. Mankanshoku would wash Senketsu, but since Ryuko was on her own she'd have to make do. She actually didn't want to wash him at all, but Bakugo's explosion the other day made him smell kind of... singed. Ryuko growled, just thinking about the boy was enough to make her day worse.

"I think that's enough kid, I got it," the man said, tired from listening to her numerous special requests. "Do you want me to massage it too? Feed it grapes?"

"Nah, I don't think that's necessary," Ryuko responded, not picking up on the man's sarcasm.

The man rolled his eyes. "Alright kid, come back tomorrow. It'll be done by noon."

"Ryuko, are you sure this is a good idea?" Senketsu asked her. "What if you have more combat training today? Or Bakugo attacks you? Or you fall asleep in math class again?"

"I'll be fine Senketsu," Ryuko assured her partner. "I checked the schedule for today, we're just going on some kind of field trip. As for Bakugo, if he wants a rematch, he's more than welcome to try. And I'm actually kind of looking forward to getting a nap in during math. This is supposed to be for really nice clothes, so just enjoy the treat!"

Ryuko thanked the man after paying him, then ran off to get to school on time. She ran against the flow of foot traffic, almost knocking a few people over. They'd be fine, it was more important that she wasn't late to class. As she was running, she thought about what Senketsu had told her. What if she did need him today?

Nah, she'd be fine. The worst case scenario was that she'd have to do more combat training, big deal. She still had her scissor blade and it wasn't like she needed Senketsu to throw a mean punch, Bakugo found that out the hard way.

Back at the dry cleaners, the man stared in disbelief at the girl who just talked to her sailor uniform before getting back to work. "Crazy kids these days," he grumbled. "Talking to their clothes!"

Ryuko arrived at the gates to UA, with just minutes to spare before the first bell. That was a relief, it wouldn't take her much longer to get to homeroom-

Wait, what was happening? The front entrance to the school was completely swarmed by... members of the media? Various reporters, journalists, and cameramen were gathered around the gate, each of them shouting over each other. Ryuko tried pushing her way past them, but their bodies were so closely packed together it was like a brick wall.

Until they noticed her UA uniform that was.

"Hey kid! You're a UA student right? What's All Might like as a teacher?"

"Can you get All Might to come answer some questions?"

"Is All Might teaching so he can watch over his secret love child?"

Immediately, the press swarmed around Ryuko, like piranhas circling their next meal before tearing it to shreds. Ryuko was actually panicking a bit, she'd never seen this many members of the media in one place before. Must have been the price for having freedom of speech.

Back at Honnouji, Satsuki Kiryuin and the Student Council strictly censored any forms of public speech, so private journalists were a rarity. But hey, pluses and minuses. Seeing that they wouldn't budge unless she gave them an answer, Ryuko answered their questions as best as she could.

"Yes, good, no, what the fuck," she answered in order. Just because it was her best didn't necessarily mean it was good.

However, just like feeding a wild animal, her response only made the reporters want more. They formed a tight ring around Ryuko, preventing her from escaping. There were so many questions that Ryuko couldn't answer them all even if she could make out a coherent sentence. As they pressed against her, coming dangerously close to actually touching her, she could see another circle of reporters surrounding Midoriya.

He made eye contact with her, silently begging for help. As soon as Ryuko saw a break in the crowd, she pushed her way past them and ran over to Midoriya.

"Grab on!" she shouted, extending her arm out to Midoriya.

Their fingertips barely touched a few times before Ryuko was able to get a solid grip on Midoriya's hand. Once she did, she yanked him out of the crowd, knocking a few reporters on their asses. Well, it was their fault for making them late.

"Thanks, but what do we do now?" Midoriya asked.

He had a point, once the reporters got over the shock of what just happened, they'd just hound them again. Ryuko looked around for a way in, but the gates were completely packed, leaving them no way to push through. The walls were bare of crowds, but they couldn't possibly be climbed by a normal person. Which was why it was perfect for what Ryuko was going to do next.

"Hey Midoriya, sorry in advance!" Ryuko told the boy.

"Wait, what are you- agh!"

She dragged him along to the foot of the wall and when the time was right, she tossed him over it. Once she was sure Midoriya was over, Ryuko leaped over the three meter high wall with a single bound. Ryuko landed on the other side with catlike grace, unlike Midoriya who was currently shaking.

"Heh, sorry about that," she apologized. "Now come on! Let's get to class!"

"Um yeah... n-no problem."

A female reporter with brown hair growled in frustration as she watched her two prospective interviewees escape. This was pointless! She'd tried interviewing four students and staff before them and so far she'd gotten nothing but a long winded speech, a comment that All Might was 'muscley', and a very colorful death threat. Was asking for a single two hour interview with All Might too much?

Fine! If they wouldn't give her All Might then she'd have to get him herself! She started to walk into campus, ignoring the protests of her cameraman. Before she could set a single foot inside UA property, a thick metal wall sprouted from the ground, nearly hitting her.

"Hey! What's happening?" she exclaimed in shock.

"Don't you know about the school's defenses?" her colleague said. "This gate is the UA barrier."

"Defenses? That practically killed me!"

"Yeah, well it's designed to stop anyone who doesn't have a student ID or special pass from entering the campus," the cameraman said, pointing to a row of glowing red dots that were presumably sensors. "Guess it works. Apparently there are security sensors like this all over the place."

"Keeping the public out!" the reporter exclaimed indignantly. "This school thinks it's untouchable! The least they could do is grant me one interview!"

"I know right? We've been here for two days and I don't have a single comment on the record yet!"

Across the street, a young man in his early twenties with light blue hair watched the scene with amusement. He was clearly no member of the press though, dressed in a simple black shirt and pants with red sneakers. He began to cross the street, not caring when a car swerved to avoid him, honking loudly. It pissed him off, but he'd have to destroy the driver later.

"These so-called 'heroes' lock themselves away in their little fortresses, hiding from the public they deem unworthy to see them," he began, getting the attention of the crowd. Vultures, the lot of them. But he could always use more vultures.

"Yes! That's exactly what I'm saying here!" the woman who activated the barrier shouted in agreement. "Why do these heroes think that they're above scrutiny from the public? We have a right to know what's going on here!"

"It's so annoying isn't it?" the man pretended to agree, fidgeting with his hands. He didn't care about the "freedom of the press" or whatever, but these people could be useful to him. For now.

"How would you like a way in?" Tomura Shigaraki asked.

"Decent work on yesterday's combat training you guys," Aizawa gave his class his version of a compliment. "I saw the video feeds and went over each of your team's results."

Ryuko Matoi leaned far back into her chair. Really far back as to make sure that her hair got in Bakugo's face. After their fight, Ryuko was not happy about having her desk right in front of Bakugo and almost considered requesting a seat change. Then she realized that if they were going to have to sit close together, she might as well have some fun with it.

Bakugo angrily swatted at her hair, making Ryuko turn around and face him. The two locked eyes in a death glare, their foreheads practically touching. Ryuko put some extra rage into her expression, even baring her teeth at him. Another second passed and Bakugo backed down, choosing to instead stare at the floor.

"Bakugo!" Aizawa said, breaking him out of his trance. "You're talented, so don't sulk like a child about your loss okay?"

Yeah, talented at being a real piece of shit. Despite not agreeing with Aizawa's assessment, she still decided to laugh a little at his expense. Mostly because she knew he'd hate it.

"You wanna do that again to my face?" Bakugo erupted in anger, falling right for Ryuko's bait. "I'm ready for round two if you are!"

"Bakugo, that's enough! Matoi, I'll be getting to you later," Aizawa said, glaring at Ryuko. "And Midoriya! I see the only way you won the match was by messing up your arm again. Work harder, and don't give me the excuse that you don't have control over your quirk. That line's already getting old. You can't keep breaking your body while training here. But your quirk will be really useful if you can get a handle on it. So show a little urgency, huh?"

"Right!" Midoriya replied with enthusiasm, a giant grin on his face. He must have really expected to be raked over the coals if he was so pleased with the mediocre evaluation. Though it was a step up from being singled out on the first day, so it wasn't an unjustified reaction.

"As for Matoi and Todoroki," Aizawa continued, gaining the attention of the two students. "You two are strong, but your pride is getting in the way. When you're fighting a villain, you'll need all the help you can get, trust me. And Matoi, I heard about what happened with Bakugo yesterday. He wasn't injured too much and it was only your second day here, so I'm letting you off with a warning. Though if this happens again you'll be suspended, got it?"

"Yeah yeah, sure thing teach," Ryuko grumbled. No way in hell she'd be sorry for punching Bakugo. In fact, she'd do it again.

"That's 'yes sir', Matoi. Anyway, let's get down to business," Aizawa said. "Our first task will decide your future."

With a statement like that, the students couldn't help but tense up in anticipation. Hopefully it wouldn't be another quirk test that they could get expelled for failing.

"You all need to pick a class representative," Aizawa confirmed, much to the relief of his students. Oh good, just normal school stuff.

"Pick me guys!" Kirishima shouted, the first to "campaign" for representative. "I wanna be class rep!"

"I'll take it!" Kaminari offered, like he was doing them all a favor.

"Yeah, you're gonna need me," Jiro said, likely out of fear that Kaminari might be class rep.

"Someone with style would be best-" Aoyama said before being interrupted.

"Over here! I'm totally the right pick!" Mina exclaimed.

Ryuko put her head down into her desk, trying to cover her ears from all the screaming. While the sight of students clamoring for whatever meager power they could attain was a familiar one, she really didn't understand what the big deal about being class rep was. Her time as president of the Fight Club taught her that it would be nothing but a bunch of extra work. At least that deal came with a free mansion.

"Silence! Everyone please!" Iida shouted out over the crowd, gaining everyone's attention. "The class representative's duty is to lead others. That's not something just anyone can do. You must first have the trust of every student in the classroom! Therefore, the most logical way to fill this position is democratically. We will hold an election to choose our leader!"

"Is that really the best idea?" Tsuyu asked. "We've only known each other a few days, how do we know who we can trust?"

"Besides, everyone will just vote for themselves!" Kirishima said.

"Most people will, but that means whoever does receive multiple votes must truly be the most suitable person for the job!" Iida responded. "It's the best way, right sir?"

"Do what you want," Aizawa grumbled, having already zipped himself up in his sleeping bag. "Just decide before my nap's over."

"Thank you for your trust!"

Could he have made it more obvious? He clearly wanted everyone to vote for him, the whole speech being a publicity stunt to show that he was trustworthy. Ryuko didn't really care though, an election would mean that she wouldn't have to do anything. Anything but vote for a rep.

Who to choose though? Tsuyu was right, she'd only known these people for a few days. She could go the obvious route and vote for herself, but that ran the risk of actually getting the job if someone decided to vote for her. Kirishima and Mina were definitely trustworthy, but they weren't really... leader material.

No, the person she voted for had to be someone smart who wouldn't back down from a fight, but also kind and compassionate. Ryuko tried thinking of who that could be when it hit her. It was perfect!

She scribbled down his name on a slip of paper and handed it to Iida.

Election Results:

Izuku Midoriya: 4 votes

Momo Yaoyorozu: 2 votes

"How did I get four votes?" Izuku Midoriya exclaimed in shock. He stopped reading the rest of the list the second he saw his name, though it was probably just ones and zeros. It was a pleasant surprise, but a surprise nonetheless.

"Ok you idiots!" Kacchan shouted as he stood up at his desk. "Who voted for him?"

"What? Did you honestly think anyone was gonna vote for you?" Sero taunted.

"What did you just say?" Kacchan roared.

Izuku tuned out the rest of what Kacchan was saying, though he saw Ryuko getting up from her desk ready to brawl. Who could have voted for him? One of the votes was his own, though he was starting to kind of regret that decision. Another was probably Uraraka's, they worked well together as a team and she was one of the few who didn't vote for herself. So that left two others that voted for him.

"Zero votes?" Iida shook with frustration as he looked at the results. "I feared this might happen, but I can't argue with the system I chose!"

So Iida voted for someone else, even though he could have voted for himself and no one would know. Izuku had to admire his humility and dedication towards proving that he really was worthy to lead a class, though he ended up falling flat on his face.

Izuku made his way up to the front of the class with Yaoyorozu at his side. He tried steeling his nerves to look strong in front of his peers, but his anxiety won out in the end. He couldn't help but shake with fear as he saw his classmates stare at him, their representative. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all.

"Alright the class rep is Midoriya and our deputy is Yaoyorozu," Aizawa confirmed.

"Really?" Izuku asked timidly. "It's not a mistake?"

"Ugh, how did this happen?" Yaoyorozu sighed in disappointment.

Izuku winced. He'd only been representative for five seconds and his deputy was already disappointed in him! At least his other classmates were more enthused. Looking around the room, he saw that many of them were on board with him as class rep.

When he saw Iida though, he could practically feel the disappointment of not being elected. He understood where Iida was coming from, he clearly wanted the position more than anyone. If Izuku didn't vote for himself, Iida would have been a great pick.

"Hey, do you guys mind if I sit with you today?" Ryuko Matoi asked Midoriya, Uraraka, and Iida.

"Oh not at all! We have a seat right here!" Midoriya offered.

Ryuko thanked him and sat down with her lunch. A pile of croquettes and a lemon for dessert.

"Don't you usually sit with Kirishima and Ashido?" Iida asked. "It's not that I don't want you here, I'm just curious."

"Nah, it's fine," Ryuko assured him. "Kiri and Mina were just making fun of my lemon," she said, pointing to the table where Kirishima and Mina were currently dying of laughter.

"Huh," Uraraka said, not really sure of what to say. "Anyway, isn't it always so crowded here?"

"That's because students in the support, management, general education, and hero courses all share the same cafeteria," Iida answered.

So that explained why there were so many students in the cafeteria. It made sense that UA was more than just a hero school, as the hero course's low acceptance rate wouldn't be sustainable for a school of UA's size. Ryuko wondered why they never got to see the other students outside of lunchtime though. Did the different courses have bad relations or something?

She was about to ask Iida her question when she caught an older student, presumably in the general education course based off of her plain looks and thin frame. The nasty look she was giving Ryuko told her all she needed to know. Well, at least that question was answered.

"Guys, I'm kind of worried about the class rep thing," Midoriya said, looking down at his bowl of pork katsudon. "I just don't think I'm qualified."

"Bull. Shit," Ryuko said bluntly. "Of course you're qualified! I can't think of anyone else I'd rather have representing the class! That's why I voted for you!"

"While I don't approve of your crass language, I have to agree," Iida said. "You'll be great Midoriya. Your courage and quick thinking under stress will help make you a worthy leader. Not to mention the strength you demonstrated. Those are the reasons I voted for you at least."

"Wait, you two both voted for me?" Izuku asked. "I'll do my best not to let you down, but if I'm being honest, either of you would have made a better representative than me. Speaking of that, why didn't you want to be class rep Ryuko?"

"Eh, it just sounds like a whole lot of extra work," Ryuko answered simply. "Besides, me and student government do not get along. Trust me on that."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Uraraka asked, confused by what Ryuko said.

"Yes, I've been meaning to ask you about that," Iida agreed. "On the first day of school, you mentioned something about a Disciplinary Committee. Public schools in Independent Japan haven't had those in years! Where did you go to school?"

Oops, she might have let a little too much slip out. Well, she might as well tell them, since there really wasn't any point in lying over something so stupid.

"Well, I actually used to go to Honnouji Academy for a few months before I enrolled at UA," Ryuko answered.

"WHAT?" her three classmates exclaimed in unison.

"Did you go on any of Satsuki's invasions?"

"Did you live in a mansion? Or in the slums?"

"Did they publicly execute you? Wait, that doesn't make sense."

Ryuko was taken aback as Uraraka and Midoriya bombarded her with questions about her time at Honnouji. Surprisingly, Iida didn't join them, continuing to eat his meal in peace.

"What? No!" Ryuko said. "Look, I wasn't there for very long, I only went there because I was looking for... a new place to go to school."

Alright, so she was kind of lying. It wasn't that she didn't trust them, she just didn't think they were ready to hear her life story yet. Not to mention that aspiring heroes probably wouldn't approve of her revenge mission.

"Well, I guess if anyone could survive at that place, it's you Ryuko," Midoriya said. "But why would you, or anyone really, want to go to that place?"

This time Iida answered. "Probably because they're attracted to the power and wealth the academy has to offer. And since the island is private property, quirk usage is unregulated. Anyone can attend Honnouji Academy if they apply and they even get free housing on the island, though they have to start out as no-stars. I suspect it's to attract those with weak quirks who have the ambition to get stronger. To students they actually want to recruit, they send a special offer to start as a one-star, which comes with a luxury apartment and the position as an officer in Satsuki's army. For those with powerful quirks but low social standing, it's a great deal."

Huh, Ryuko never really thought about where all of Honnouji's students came from. She supposed Iida's assessment made sense, but that only brought up another question in her mind.

"How do you know so much about Honnouji, Iida?" Ryuko asked.

"Oh! Well, you see," Iida blushed. "Before I applied to UA they actually sent me an offer to join as captain of the track team. It was a two-star position, which is unheard of for a rising freshman, but I declined."

"What?" Uraraka exclaimed. "Why would you do that? You could have lived in your own mansion eating caviar for every meal!"

"Because I would never betray my family for a band of thugs!" Iida responded passionately. "I couldn't care less about money or fame, I just want to be a hero! So I can make the Iida family's hero agency proud!"

Wait, Iida's family has a hero agency? Ryuko looked at Iida, causing Midoriya and Uraraka to do the same. Now it was his turn in the spotlight.

"Hold on, what does your family do?" Midoriya asked.

"Oh, it's nothing!" Iida tried to steer the attention away from him, but it was pointless.

"You know, I've been wondering something about you," Uraraka chimed in. "Admit it Iida! You're filthy rich!"

Iida was startled by Uraraka's... on the nose prediction. However, he couldn't exactly cover it up anymore, so he decided to tell the truth. "I was afraid people would treat me differently if they knew about my family," he said softly, causing Ryuko to lean closer with interest.

'You see, the Iidas have been pro heroes for generations!" Iida reluctantly admitted. "It runs in our blood. In fact, one of the first heroes in Japan might have been an Iida!"

"Hey, that's actually really cool!" Ryuko said.

She meant it too. Her own family was non-existent at this point, so she envied having such a strong family legacy. Though the pressure to follow in your family's footsteps sounded like it could be pretty stressful. Still, Iida chose to be a hero by himself, it wasn't like anyone was forcing him to do it.

"Are you all familiar with the Turbo Hero: Ingenium?" Iida asked.

Ryuko shook her head, Japan had thousands of heroes and she only knew a handful. Midoriya's face on the other hand, lit up like a lightbulb.

"I know all about him!" he exclaimed. "He's a super popular pro with 65 sidekicks working alongside him at his Tokyo agency! Just last year he fought Uzu Sanageyama at the Battle of Navarro! Sure he lost in the end, but their race was all over the news! Not even All Might was able to keep up with him!"

"He's my elder brother!" Iida announced, smiling with pride. "Ingenium is an unmatched commander who honors the hero code. As the second oldest Iida son, I strive to be just like him. That's why I couldn't accept Honnouji Academy's invitation!"

"I guess already being rich helps with that," Uraraka grumbled enviously. "Wait, that's the first time I've seen you smile Tenya! You should do it more."

"What are you talking about? I smile all the time!" Iida replied indignantly.

"Man, I can't believe your big bro fought Sanageyama!" Ryuko said, impressed with Iida's brother. "Last time I fought him he totally kicked my ass!"

Midoriya instantly turned to her, his eyes wide with shock. "Hold on, you fought Uzu Sanageyama? The Monkey King? The Great Ape? The Fourth Elite? The Eyes of Satsuki Kiryuin? The Conqueror of Navarro?"

Ryuko rolled her eyes as Midoriya continued to list out various titles. Someone was trying to fill out their resume. She was about to snap Midoriya out of it when suddenly, the bell started to ring.

"Warning: Level three security breach. All students please evacuate the building in an orderly fashion."

"What's a level three security breach?" Tenya Iida asked the upperclassman sitting next to him.

"It means that someone's managed to get past the school's barrier! This hasn't happened in my three years here!" he answered. "We should get going!"

Someone got past the school barrier? That shouldn't have been possible, the UA barrier was designed to keep even the most dangerous criminals out. Did that mean that villains were attacking the school? If that was the case, then the upperclassman was right. Tenya grabbed his classmates and they ran out of the cafeteria as fast as they could.

Unfortunately, everyone else had the same idea. The hallways were completely packed, everyone trying to push their way to the front.

"Hey, quit shoving!" Matoi snarled before she was washed away in a tidal wave of panicking students.

"Ow!" Uraraka exclaimed as she was shoved against Tenya's side. "This is a total mob!"

"Everyone was quick to react!" Tenya told her. "As I'd expect from UA students!"

Tenya had nothing but respect for how quickly the students were able to react in the face of an emergency, but they seemed to miss the "orderly" part of "evacuate the building in an orderly fashion."

"Sure, but they're also causing a huge panic!" Midoriya pointed out as he too was overcome by the stampeding mob. "Crap! I can't stop!"

"Midoriya!" Tenya called out to his class representative.

This was getting ridiculous! What was even going on outside? Who in the world could have trespassed onto campus grounds?

Tenya managed to push his way over to a window to get a better look. As he scanned for what was causing all the commotion, he found that it was... the press that was outside that morning! He was afraid that it was some kind of attack on the school, but clearly there was no need to panic like this.

"There's no need to worry everyone-" he tried shouting, but his face was pressed against the window, stopping him from finishing.

Where were the teachers? Shouldn't they have been taking control of the situation? Tenya figured it was because they had to deal with the media outside.

"Everyone!" Kirishima raised his arms, trying to get attention. "Stop freaking out!"

Tenya was relieved for a total of 5 milliseconds before his classmate got swept away. Was he the only one who realized that everything was fine? There was no reason for them all to be panicking!

"Aaah!" Uraraka squealed in pain, getting Iida's attention. "Tenya help me!"

Tenya shuffled against the wall, trying to get to his classmate. What would he do once he got there though? What would Midoriya do? Or Tensei? How would they handle this? First he would need to find a way to get everyone's attention, but he couldn't do that when everyone was pushing him. Fortunately, he had the perfect solution to that.

"Uraraka!" he called to her. "Touch my hand! Make me float above everyone else!"

Uraraka nodded in agreement and stretched her arm out. Tenya struggled to touch her fingers, the crowd trying to pull them apart. On the second attempt, Uraraka successfully touched him and Tenya felt his weight disappearing.

He jumped into the air, his glasses falling off his face. That was only part one of the plan though, he needed to find a place where everyone could see him. There! The exit sign!

Tenya rolled up his pant legs and extended the exhaust pipes on his legs. He activated his quirk, though without weight he was spiraling out of control. After flying through the air for a few seconds, he smacked against the wall. At least it was where he wanted to land. This was it, he needed to be concise, clear, and confident!

"Listen up!" he announced. "Everything is ok! It's just the media outside, there's absolutely nothing to worry about! Everything's fine! We're UA students, we need to remain calm and prove that we're the best of the best!"

Much to his relief, everyone saw him and stopped in their tracks. Tenya sighed as Uraraka released him, he hoped he made his brother proud.

Ryuko Matoi sat down in her desk, relieved that the nightmare was finally over. She had to admit, it was pretty cool of Iida to get everyone's attention like that, even if he did look pretty silly while doing it.

"It's time class rep," Momo told Midoriya. "Let's begin."

"Um, ok so we need to figure out who the other class officers will be!" he stammered. "But first, there's something I want to say. I've though a lot about this, and I think that Tenya Iida should be our class rep!"

Ryuko was surprised that Midoriya was willing to give up his position so easily, but not more than Iida himself. Both of them stayed silent so that Midoriya could continue.

"He was able to capture everyone's attention and get us in line," he said, looking at Iida. "So I believe that he should be the one leading our class from now on!"

Ryuko chuckled to herself. If Midoriya vouched for the guy, then what the hell! Iida had more than proved that he was someone who would lead their class, not just order them around. Besides, he definitely looked the part with his glasses and neat haircut.

"I voted for Midoriya, but if he thinks that Iida should be class rep then I'm all for it!" Ryuko announced, jumping onto her desk. "He took charge and acted like a real leader when we needed it!"

"Hey, did you notice that he looked like the dude on the emergency exit sign?" Kaminari pointed out.

"This is a waste of time," Aizawa grumbled from his sleeping bag, startling Midoriya. "I don't care who the rep is, just hurry up."

"If Midoriya is nominating me for this job, then I humbly accept" Iida announced. "I pledge to carry out the duties of class rep to the best of my abilities!"

"Sounds good Emergency Exit!" Kirishima said with a thumbs up.

Satsuki Kiryuin rubbed her temples in frustration, growling at the sight of REVOCS security forces patrolling her school's grounds. Her mother insisted on stationing them there for a few weeks due to "security concerns". As if those second-rate mercenaries could provide security that her legions of one-stars and thousands of turret-mounted machine guns couldn't. This was worrisome though, because if Satsuki knew the woman they'd eventually become a permanent addition.

Satsuki would be lying if she said having REVOCS forces literally in her front yard didn't make her nervous. She'd have to be extra careful now, not doing anything that could put her loyalty to her mother into question. That brought up a new problem though. How was she supposed to have the Naturals Election now?

Her train of thought was interrupted by the distinct ding of the Student Council elevator, with Houka Inumuta stepping out. Satsuki sighed with relief, she was actually glad to have something else to distract her.

"I'm sorry for disturbing you my lady," he apologized.

"It's fine," she replied calmly. "In fact, you were just the person I wanted to see. Tell me, how is Ryuko Matoi doing at UA?"

"I was actually here to report that Non- er, Jakuzure is back from the Krait campaign," Inumuta said. "We've taken the city with minimal casualties, but the pro hero Best Jeanist destroyed many of our Goku uniforms."

Satsuki pursed her lips together. That man was becoming an increasingly annoying thorn in her side. Right now, she didn't let it bother her though.

"We can deal with that later, right now I want to know what's happening at UA."

"Well, that brings me to my second topic," Inumuta replied. "UA has been infiltrated, just this morning."

Satsuki almost spilled her tea. UA was... infiltrated? Satsuki quickly made a list of the groups and individuals who were powerful, or stupid, enough to try something like that. It wasn't many, especially considering that All Might was there as a teacher now. She knew for a fact that it wasn't any of her forces, she had built a tenuous but peaceful relation with the hero school.

Could Chisaki have tried something like that? Not likely, the yakuza boss was a coward and a fool, yearning for more power yet fearing it all the same. REVOCS was also unlikely, as her mother preferred letting Satsuki do her dirty work for her.

"Who was behind the infiltration?" Satsuki demanded.

"Well, the actual trespassers were just the press," Inumuta answered.

Satsuki groaned, they certainly fulfilled the "stupid" requirement. But how were ordinary members of the press able to bypass their security systems?

"What's more troubling is how they got in," Inumuta continued. "This hasn't reached the public yet, but my sources sent me these images. I already have the Information and Strategy Committee conducting a search across Japan's criminal database for a matching quirk."

Satsuki quickly scanned the pictures, depicting different angles of the scene. A large section of the UA barrier had been destroyed. That wasn't the right word though, it was more like it was erased from existence. The only proof that the wall was there in the first place was the large pile of dust where it should have been.

"Thank you Inumuta, you are dismissed," she told her advisor. He bowed shortly before leaving towards his personal quarters.

It couldn't have been the press themselves that were behind this attack, it must have been an actual villain. Likely a newcomer, looking to make a name for themselves with a big move. Satsuki smirked, it wasn't all that different from her own debut onto the villain scene, if holding the mayor of a city hostage while fighting the number one hero was comparable to breaking a wall.

More likely than not, this was just the act of some arrogant punk eager to show off their power. If they weren't, and they actually meant to attack UA, that could be a big problem for her. Ryuko Matoi was an invaluable asset, and while Satsuki had no doubt that she was more than capable of defeating any villain that crossed her path, if UA was destroyed she'd come back to Honnouji.

And right into her mother's lap.

Whoever this new villain was or whatever group they were a part of, she wouldn't hesitate to bring the full might of Honnouji Academy on their head if they messed with her plans.

Finally, morning classes were over! Ryuko Matoi's brain ached, they just learned what integrals were and Ectoplasm was already giving them problems that would give a university student a heart attack! At least she had hero class to look forward to, they were supposed to be going on some kind of field trip.

"Today's training will be a little different," Aizawa addressed the class. "You'll have three instructors: Me, All Might, and another faculty member will be keeping tabs on you."

Three pros? A little overkill for an afternoon training session in Ryuko's opinion, but it was probably because of the break-in.

"Sir!" Sero called out. "What kind of training is this?"

"Rescue!" Aizawa answered, pulling out a plastic card with the word printed on it. "You'll be dealing with natural disasters, shipwrecks, and stuff like that."

While most of the class was expressing their excitement about rescue training, Ryuko was actually kind of dreading it. She was easily the best in the class, probably in the school, at fighting, but she was completely out of her depth when it came to rescue. Her abysmal rescue point score on the entrance exam was proof of that, she was pretty sure she was the only applicant who got negative rescue points.

"Guys, I'm not finished yet," Aizawa spoke over the chattering students. "What you wear in this exercise is up to you. I know you're excited about costumes, but keep in mind that you haven't gotten used to them yet and they might limit your abilities. This special training is at an off-campus facility so we'll be taking a bus to get there. That's all, start getting ready."

Ryuko didn't pay much attention to what he was saying, as it obviously didn't apply to her. In fact, wearing her costume meant that rescue training wouldn't be so bad after all! As long as she had Senketsu-

As long as she had...

Oh shit.

Senketsu moaned softly as the iron was pressed into his back. He could feel the stress leaving all of his Life Fibers, one by one. Ryuko was right, she could handle one day without him. Besides, he deserved a day off!

The man ironing him picked him up and slipped a hanger into his "neck". Senketsu was still a little drowsy from the ironing, so he wasn't paying attention to where the man was bringing him. What he did notice was that he was being stuffed into some kind of plastic bag.

"Hey! I'm not some cheap rag you can stuff wherever you want!" he yelled at the man, but he didn't notice.

Right, Ryuko was the only one who could hear him! Well, it would be annoying to be unable to talk to anyone, but at least- wait, where the hell was he?

Senketsu stared in horror at what laid before him. Hundreds, maybe thousands of clothes were hung on racks, stuffed in plastic bags like the one he was in right now. They were all packed together like sardines, and Senketsu saw one rack of clothes move like it was on a conveyor belt.

What was this place? Was it a meat locker?

Or a morgue?

"Ryuko help me!" he shouted helplessly as the man hung him next to a pair of slacks. "Someone free me from this plastic prison!"

Senketsu thrashed, desperately trying to get someone to notice him. Finally he gave up, silently begging Ryuko to come get him.

For he had no mouth, yet he must scream.

Izuku Midoriya stood outside in his gym uniform, ready to board the bus to the training facility. He was really looking forward to this, while most people admired All Might for his unparalleled combat ability, it was always his rescues that allured Izuku the most. Heck, the video that inspired him to become a hero was a rescue! Now, he'd get to be one step closer to being the kind of hero he wanted to be.

One who could save everyone.

"Deku? Why are you wearing your PE clothes?" Uraraka asked, snapping him out of his thoughts. "Where's your costume at?"

"You saw what happened to it after the combat training, it was kinda trashed," Izuku replied sheepishly. "I'm still waiting on the support company to fix it up!"

He reminisced on the costume his mom made him, and he teared up a little thinking about how her hard work was incinerated after one fight. He'd keep the homemade costume in his heart though, he requested that the support company didn't change the original design too much.

Looking around, Izuku saw that pretty much everyone had chosen to wear their costumes, leaving him and Ryuko as the only ones wearing tracksuits. Not that Ryuko did so by choice, as she was making very clear.

"Come on!" she begged Mr. Aizawa. "Can't we make just one stop? I'll be in and out, I promise!"

"I'm sorry, but the dry cleaners you left your costume at is in the complete opposite direction," Mr. Aizawa replied. "Try to use this as a learning experience. You'll get sloppy if you rely on your quirk's power too much."

Ryuko huffed, but reluctantly dropped her case. Izuku understood where she was coming from, doing hero work without a quirk was extremely difficult. He was sure she'd be fine though, she was still naturally super strong. He'd experienced that himself this morning.

"Gather round, Class 1-A!" Iida shouted after blowing into his whistle. "Using your student numbers, form two neat lines so we can load the bus efficiently!"

Iida was really taking this class rep thing seriously huh? Well, his boarding strategy would have worked perfectly... if the bus wasn't open layout.

"The bus's open layout ruined my boarding strategy!" Iida moaned.

"Dude, you seriously need to chill out," Ryuko told him with a pat on the back.

"If we're pointing out the obvious, then there's something I want to say. About you actually." Asui said to Izuku, causing him to freeze.

"About me? What is it Asui?" he asked, trying to not look nervous.

"I told you to call me Tsu," she said. "That power of yours, isn't a lot like All Might's?"

Ok, now it was panic time. Izuku started sweating buckets, trying to come up with a justification. He couldn't let out All Might's secret! It was bad enough that he told Kacchan, he couldn't have the whole class know!

"What? Really? You think so?" Izuku stammered. "I never really thought about that! I guess it's kind of-"

"Wait, hold on Tsu," Kirishima jumped in. "You're forgetting All Might doesn't hurt himself. That makes a huge difference!"

Izuku sighed with relief, silently thanking Kirishima for the save.

"Still, I bet it's cool to have a simple augmenting type of quirk," Kirishima went on. "You can do a lot of flashy stuff with it. My hardening is super strong and can destroy bad guys in a fight, but it doesn't look all that impressive."

"No way!" Izuku said. "I think it's really awesome looking! You're definitely pro material with a quirk like that!"

"You really think so?" Kirishima asked. "It seems like it'd be easier to be a popular hero if I had something flashier."

"My naval laser's got the perfect combination of panache and strength!" Aoyama boasted.

"But it's way lame if it gives you a stomachache sweetie," Mina added, making the flashy frenchman glare at her.

"Well if any of our classmates have pro quirks, it's Matoi and Todoroki." Kirishima said. "Oh and Bakugo's is pretty neat too I guess."

"You guess?" Kacchan roared, having overheard Kirishima. "My quirk is way better than those two wannabes!"

"Sure, but Bakugo's always angry, so he'll never be that popular," Tsuyu added, causing Ryuko to start cracking up with laughter. Izuku flinched, what was she thinking? Did she have a death wish? No one at his old school dared to make fun of Kacchan, at least not to his face, and for good reason!

"What did you say?" Kacchan screamed, standing up from his seat. "I'll kick your ass!"

Tsuyu didn't even flinch as she pointed to the blonde boy currently screaming for her head. "See what I mean?"

"You know we basically just met you," Kaminari chimed in. "So it's kind of telling that we all know your personality is flaming crap mixed with garbage."

Ryuko was practically howling with laughter now.

"You're gonna regret the day you applied to this school, you loser!" Kacchan yelled.

While Ryuko got up from her seat and was about to escalate the light teasing into a full on brawl, Izuku couldn't believe what he was hearing. Not only did these people want to be his friend, but Kacchan was actually the one getting teased in class! it went against everything he'd ever known, just what kind of crazy school was UA?

"Hey hey! We're here!" Mr. Aizawa said. "Stop messing around!"

Ryuko Matoi walked off the bus, disappointed that she wouldn't get to shut Bakugo up for a second time. At the entrance to the training facility, a person in a puffy white coat and black bulbous helmet was waiting for them. It kind of reminded Ryuko of the suits astronauts wore.

"Hello everyone!" the person Ryuko now identified as a woman greeted them. "I've been waiting for you!"

"It's the Space Hero: Thirteen!" Midoriya geeked out. "The chivalrous pro who's rescued a ton of people from disasters across the world!"

"I can't wait to show you what's inside!" Thirteen said, motioning for them all to enter the training facility.

The inside of the dome was to put it simply, massive. Ryuko suspected that it might have even been the size of Honnouji Academy. There was a small fountain in the center, but the edges of the facility were split up into different zones, kind of like an amusement park. Ryuko could see a mountain, a city, even a lake with a water slide! Taking it all in, she saw why so many of her classmates were excited for this. It actually kind of looked like fun!

"We have a shipwreck, a landslide, a fire, a windstorm, and etcetera!" Thirteen introduced them to the different zones. "I created this training facility to prepare you to deal with different types of disasters! I call it the Unforeseen Simulation Joint, but you can call it USJ!"

Just like Universal Studios Japan. They really were leaning into the amusement park thing weren't they?

"Hey, shouldn't All Might be here already?" Aizawa asked Thirteen. "Let me guess, he booked an interview instead."

That did strike Ryuko as strange, why wasn't All Might with them?

"Actually, it's something else," Thirteen told him, though Ryuko couldn't make out what she was saying. She was definitely lowering her voice on purpose, so whatever she told Aizawa was likely a secret.

"That man is the height of irresponsibility," Aizawa sighed, clearly disappointed by whatever reason All Might had for not being there.

Ryuko thought back to what that reporter asked her earlier. Maybe All Might did need to take care of his secret love child. It would certainly explain why Thirteen wanted to keep it a secret and why Aizawa called him irresponsible.

"Clock's ticking, we should get started," her homeroom teacher said.

"Excellent!" Thirteen replied. "But before we begin, let me say just one thing! Well, maybe two things. Possibly three, four, or five-"

"We get it!" Class 1-A said together. Seeing that her audience was getting impatient, Thirteen started her speech.

"Listen carefully! I'm sure you're aware that I have a powerful quirk. It's called Black Hole, I can use it to suck up anything and turn it into dust!"

"Yeah! You've used Black Hole to save people from all kinds of disasters before, haven't you?" Midoriya asked while Uraraka nodded enthusiastically.

"That's true," Thirteen answered. "But my quirk could also very easily be used to kill. Some of you also have powers that can be dangerous. In our superhuman society, all quirks are certified and stringently regulated, so we often overlook how unsafe they can actually be. Please don't forget that if you lose focus or make the wrong move, your powers can be deadly, even if you're trying to do something virtuous like rescue someone."

Ryuko thought more about what Thirteen was saying, she definitely had a point that her powers were dangerous. That must have been why she chose to rescue people instead of fight villains.

Looking at her own powers, she realized that having to hold back would likely be the new norm. While everyone at Honnouji wore uniforms that could protect them from a tank shell, she couldn't count on her opponents here to have durability quirks. She'd need to adapt, just like she'd have to adapt to working without Senketsu.

That didn't mean she'd be happy about it though.

"Thanks to Aizawa's fitness tests, you all have a solid idea of your quirk's potential. And because of All Might's combat training, you likely experienced how dangerous your powers can be when used against other people. Carry those lessons over to this class. Today, you're gonna learn to use your quirks to save people's lives! You won't be using your powers to attack enemies or each other, only to help. After all, that's what being a hero is all about: Ensuring the safety of others. That's all I have to say, thank you so much for listening!" Thirteen finished with a bow.

"Right!" Aizawa called over the students, who were currently applauding Thirteen's speech. "Now that that's over-"

However, he never got to finish his sentence as he was interrupted by the lights flickering out, one by one. In the center of the main pavilion, the fountain briefly stopped and then started again. It continued to do that a few more times until a swirling black vortex appeared in front of it.

The vortex quickly expanded, and Ryuko could have sworn she saw two glowing yellow eyes in the black mist. A pale hand reached out and pulled away at the mist like a curtain, revealing a man with light blue hair and a face covered up with a mask.

At first, Ryuko thought that this might have been some kind of crappy prank from Aizawa. A "rational deception" to make them think their lives were in danger. It seemed like it was up his alley, but one look at the masked man's bloodshot eye told her everything she needed to know.

These were villains.

"Stay together and don't move!" Aizawa ordered. "Thirteen! Protect the students!"

"What is that thing?" Kirishima asked, not getting what was going on.

The masked man stepped out of the portal, revealing to Ryuko that his "mask" was actually a human hand he put on his face. In fact, he looked like he was wearing hands all over his body. Before Ryuko could question his awful fashion sense, another person stepped into the training facility.

And then another. More villains stepped out of the portal, most of them having mutation quirks, until the USJ was practically swarming with thugs.

"Wait, is the training starting already?" Kirishima stepped forward, trying to get a better view. "I thought we were rescuing people!"

"Stay back!" Aizawa snapped, slipping on a pair of yellow goggles. "This is real, those are villains!"

So these really were villains. Ryuko pulled her scissor blade out of her pocket and expanded it to its full size. She clenched the handle of the blade tightly, without Senketsu it was her only means of defending herself.

Whoever these villains were, they certainly wanted to save the worst for last. The final villain to exit the portal was a giant, maybe even as large as Gamagoori. From the neck down it looked human enough, though its skin was jet black and covered in scars.

Its face on the other hand, would likely give Ryuko nightmares. It had a bird-like beak for a mouth, though it was lined with massive teeth the size of chisels. Its eyes were wide open, like they weren't capable of closing due to their position. Which was right on the creature's exposed brain.

The irony of training to save people only to have her own life put in danger was not lost on Ryuko. Right now she was trapped far from school without Senketsu, surrounded by bloodthirsty villains.

Ryuko sighed, here goes another shitty day.

A/N: Bet you all weren't expecting a new chapter so soon! I know I certainly didn't.

Anyway, this chapter was pretty much pure filler and to be honest, I didn't really like writing it. It was pretty much a one-to-one translation of the anime, which is probably why it didn't take long to write. It was still necessary though, especially to include the fact that Ryuko won't have Senketsu going into USJ. I mean, I need to have her in some danger. As fun as it is to write about Ryuko smashing things with ease, I couldn't let her use Senketsu in an arc with actual stakes.

That's not to say she won't be kicking some serious ass in the next few chapters, just that the whole incident won't be over in two seconds.

Hope you enjoyed the chapter and remember to leave a fav, follow, and review!
