The sound of stone breaking as the chain bounced from one house after another as it chased after him, forced Kazuma to stop moving back so that he could avoid being hit by it.

He could hear the people inside the houses scream with fear as the chain drew closer and closer to him, the chain finally broke through the walls of the houses and Kazuma listened to the people inside scream before they are forced to run out of their hoses in fear.

Maybe it was because he was already in a heightened state of awareness as he was trying to time his next move perfectly, but the scene in front of him happened in slow motion.

The ninja immediately threw another chain but this one had what looked like some sort of hook or hook-like blade at the terrified people.

"I said clear the streets!" the ninja roared as his chain wrapped itself around the terrified civilians.

His next movements were a blur even for him, the sound of the metal ball coming closer to him was all that he need to hear, he quickly stepped to the side and grabbed the chain, before throwing it towards the chain that had the hook on it.

He didn't consider wasting any time before he activated his bind skill and forced the chain that he had stolen to wrap itself around the other one before it could crush its targets.

Unfortunately, he didn't have time to let go of the breath that he was holding as his skills flared once again and he was forced to throw himself to the ground so that he could avoid heng staved by the dagger that the ninja was now using.

"You're too soft." the ninja says to him before he tries to stave him again.

Shino felt the dagger on her neck being pushed down, it hurt but it didn't hurt as much as having her head being pulled back to force her, to keep her eyes open so that she could see when the ninja leader killed her teacher.

And so she watched and as she watched the fight go on she stopped struggling and even began to ignore the pain.

She knew that the rest of the kids including Yuki felt the same way she did because none of them were crying or making a sound anymore.

She had seen Soul Reapers fight each other to show the student what they were expected to be able to do and she had seen the instructors when they didn't hold back, but what she was seeing now was on a whole nother level.

Both the ninja leader and Kazuma seemed to flicker in and out of reality as one tried and failed to hurt the other, her master was just as good if not better than his attacker.

Shino would have slammed her fist into the dirt because she understood that the only reason that Kazuma was even struggling with his would-be killer, was because her teacher was worried about the people around him.

He was worried about Yuki and he was worried about her, that much had been proven true when he saved the very people that were now watching the fight from what they believed was a safe distance.

The world around her suddenly went completely silent and she found herself looking at a face she had recently seen.

The clown stood in front of her and placed his finger on her lips as he silently told her to keep quiet.

He then somersaulted towards Aqua, who was being held on the ground by one of the other ninjas, yet the slow-motioned her to see the expression that Aqua had on her face.

The woman was smiling and it was the kind of smile that a person had when they did something that they weren't supposed to, or that they had just done something that would ruin someone's day.

Shino felt the air in her lungs freeze when she noticed that the hand that the ninja wasn't holding behind Aqua's back was glowing with a faint blue light, that no one could have seen unless they were looking for it.

Shino felt herself begin to smile as the clown vanished and she was once again watching her teacher fight.

Kazuma did a backflip and twisted his body as he avoided the ninjas' knife, when he was close to the wall he simply moved to the side and made the man punch the wall when he avoided the attack.

Then in one simple move, the fight was over, the ninja had gotten so used to constantly being on the attack that he didn't react when Kazuma suddenly lunged forward and placed his hand on the ninja's chest.

Whatever the technique that Kazuma used, it had been more than enough to render his would-be killer unconscious.

Shino felt the dagger on her neck being pushed down but it didn't hurt, it tickled.

"Freez." was the only thing that Aqua said behind her as a strange gel-like substance flew out of the ground and covered her attacker, the man didn't even have time to scream.

Shino found herself looking at the man's frozen body when it fell next to her but she could see the man's eyes moving, for some reason she hated and at the same time, she was thankful that the man wasn't dead.

She felt someone pull her to her feet and she smiled when she found that it had been Yuki who helped her.

The other kids soon started to cry, but by now everyone already either knew or had figured out that the three women weren't normal so no one questioned where Eris and Wolbach had gone or come back from.

"Ah Shino, where are the ninjas?" Yuki asks her, and Shino feels a sense of dread grow inside her as she turns, and sees that all of the frozen bodies that should be laying on the ground are gone.

For a long moment, no one says anything and the only thing that anyone can hear is the sound of Kazuma and his spirit's footsteps as they walk closer to them.

The cold wind that always comes before the sun goes down blows around them as pink flower petals fly past them.

Unbeknownst to any of them both Unohana and Kenpachi smile, Unohana smiles because her future husband managed to both win and avoid having to kill anyone, but Kenpachi can only smile viciously.

Kazuma, yes that was his name, cared he actually cared about people.

Even before the failure's frozen bodies fell to the ground her spies had brought her a full report of what had occurred and Kenpachi was disgusted by what she heard.

Kazuma had more than enough time to kill his attacker, but no the man chose to save the worthless bunch that had broken the law when they ran out of their houses as they tried to save their worthless lives.

Still, both women smiled, Kazuma had just proven himself strong enough to live and keep his adopted children alive.

"Now what are you going to do?" Unohana\ Kenpachi asked someone that wasn't in the room with her.
