Surge once again, repeated his question while rubbing his eyes. " So lemme get this straight. You - a kid - with superpowers are training to become a superhero at a highschool."

Izuku nodded along, motioning for him to continue.

" And you have a superpower that allows you to strengthen your body but your body can't keep up; Which is the reason for your broken arms? And this happened because some 'villain' attacked your school's training camp."

Izuku nodded in a subdued tone. "Yep".

Nurse Joy was just listening along, still processing everything she was hearing. Surge decided to cut the shit once again.

"Ok kid. Show us your power and I'll consider believing you; After you aint a Zoura . . . sneaky bastards."

"I'm sorry, what was that last bit?" Izuku asked with a questioning look.

"It's nothin' important. Just show us your power."

Izuku obliged, green lightning cackling over his form. The two could only stare and gape at the insanity at the situation in front of them.

"Holy shit Doc, am I seeing things or is this actually happening." Surge could only turn to Joy as he tried to process what was occuring.

Nurse Joy barely found her voice when she finally responded to Lt. Surge. "Y-yea. It's happening."

"Cha-chansey Chansey." The tray the pokemon was carrying clattered to the floor.

"So what's up with the lightning that surrounds you. Is it just a lightshow or can it be used." Surge asked the question with childlike curiosity in his eyes.

"U-Um, it's just cosmetic. It appears because my body isn't able to handle 100% of my power.

Surge let out a whistle. "Damn kid, what's 100% of your power like, if you know of course."

"Well I can change weather with a single punch, if that means anything to you." They both gave him blank looks.

He coughed and attempted to change the subject. " So, do you think you guys can help me g-get back to my world? Or to teach me a little about this world so I can figure something out on my own?"

Nurse Joy responded with a small chuckle as she put a hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry Izuku, we couldn't find anyone in our databases that matched your description. So we were going to have Surge take care of you, while we figure out the situation."

"W-wait so while I'm staying with him, what'll we do about my ID? Will we have to tell the government about my situation, or will we make something up?" He sounded nervous and scared.

Nurse Joy smiled at him, " Don't worry honey, we'll take care of it."

Nurse Joy and Surge excused themselves from his room while Chansey kept him company. Both contemplating how to go forward with the info they learned.

"Fat chance we tell any higher ups about his quirk. Even if the bastards don't act on it, Team Rocket and the like will. Especially if he's as strong as he says he is, then that's the last thing we can allow." Nurse Joy nodded at his line of thinking.

He continued after the nurse nodded in understanding. "I could use a couple of my favors to get him in the system. We're gonna need to teach the brat a ton of basic knowledge too. Shiiiiit, that's gonna be a pain."

The nurse sighed, while opening one of her drawers. " I could get him started on basic knowledge about types. Soon enough, we're gonna need to start him off with a starter to dissuade him from using his 'quirk' as defense."

"Don't worry about the starter 'mon, Electrivire brought in a couple Elekid from the wild, I could let one of 'em join him. They're still young, so they shouldn't be too much trouble for a newbie." Joy looked down as she contemplated his offer.

"You sure? I heard Electabuzz are pretty hard for newer trainers to train." Surge caught onto her worry and shut it down quickly.

"Nah, that's only the wild one. When they're raised, they're pretty calm around people they've met." Joy let out a sigh at that.

"Well you get started with the paperwork, I'm going to be giving Izuku a book about general knowledge about pokemon. I'm sure he won't mind learning about our world while he's here."

Surge scoffed and just pulled out his phone while dialing a number while muttering. "Damn woman. . . leaving me to deal with the boring shit."

She walked away with a little smirk on her face as she heard Surge's phone start to ring.

When she entered the room, she giggled at the sight. Chansey was writing on a white board while muttering to her self. Before presenting it to Izuku. He took a moment to read it before answering.

"Yea it has happened before, it's just super rare. I know of a couple cases where an animal has gotten a quirk. I have only met one in person though." He paused as a sad and nostalgic look came onto his face as quickly as it passed.

Chansey seemed to notice it too but couldn't do anything before Izuku continued. " His quirk was called High Specs, it basically made him one of the smartest beings on the planet."

Chansey nodded before gesturing to the entrance of the room. Catching on quickly, the boy tensed and turned before relaxing when he saw who it was.

"Hello Mrs. Joy, what do you need now?" He asked with wide smile spread across his face.

She just sighed at his obviously fake smile. Hopefully he wasn't this bad a liar for everything. "I though since you're gonna be stuck here for a while, you should learn abit about our world and the pokemon here. I brought you some books with basic info on pokemon and our world." She explained while putting the books on the desk next to his bed.

"Thanks Mrs. Joy, I appreciate the help." He offered a smile once again.

She held back a frown at his act. She locked eyes with Chansey, both sharing the same testament. She looked back at the boy and responded. "Your welcome Izuku. Just make yourself comfortable while you're here. Chansey will be watching over you to help with any questions you have." Izuku nodded in understanding.

She waved goodbye as she left to attend to other patients.

As he started reading the first book, Chansey grabbed a chair, moving next to him to read alongside him. Almost immediately he looked over at her and asked, "How are pokemon typing determined."

The rotund pokemon sighed as she got to work on the white board. Today was going to be a long day.

After a couple hours of dealing with the legal stuff, Surge finally finished. Putting his phone into his pocket while rubbing his eyes, he promised he would never do this again. "Damn brat. He owes me big time after all that."

As he made his way to the kid's room, he heard Chansey's laughter and loud talking. When he entered the room he smiled at the sight. The boy was animatedly explaining something about heroes, seeming like a kid while doing so.

Deciding to do what he came here for, he interrupted their conversation. " Here kid, I got some clothes for ya to try on, keep the ones that fit. Put the rest in the bag."

He shot him a smile. " Thanks Sir, I appreciate it."

"Kid, just call me Surge. Oh one more thing before I leave to accept some challenges, you're going to be staying with me after you get outta here. I'll be teaching ya some things about Pokemon and fighting."

Before the boy could ask anything else, Surge turned and made his way out of the room while waving back. He needed to unwind. Maybe beating some newbie trainers would help.
