The celebration was great. He only really knew Surge, Chansey, and Nurse Joy. There were a couple trainers there too, but he didn't really interact with them besides the polite greeting or small talk. Nurse Joy had to leave about mid-way into the party along with Chansey. After all, they still needed to complete their final shifts.

The celebration slowly came to a stop as more and more people followed Nurse Joy's lead and left due to things that needed to be done the next day.

He also needed to convince a slightly drunk Surge to go to bed once everyone had left. It was kind of funny to see the man all drowsy and sluggish. It was almost the polar opposite of himself when awake.

Elekid, no - Raijin seemed to enjoy watching everyone have fun. Although he didn't really participate in it at all. Preferring to just observe everyone.

After cleaning up a bit, he finally went to bed at 11. That's when the dreams came in.

He "woke up" in a void. An endless void that seemed to be consumed in fog. Yet, he could hear voices - hear speaking.

"The quirk's changing Yorichi. It's absorbing the ambient energy in this world. I can - We can feel it changing the quirk. It's becoming more powerful, more. . . unique." The female voice seemed to struggle to find the right word to explain the changes.

"Yea, 'course we can. We're in the same place as ya. But I get whatcha mean. You can feel the quirk actively growing, just not how it is." A gruffer voice echoed out from within the slowly clearing mist.

He could begin to make figures out. A muscular woman with dark hair tied into a bun, a huge bald man, and another scrawny man with chin length white hair. The fog was still obstructing the rest.

Suddenly before he could tune back into their conversation, the scrawny white haired man locked eyes with him. "Beware the changes, Ninth. It seems that we are reaching singularity sooner than expected."

He sat up in his bed gasping, his quirk active around him, letting off an occasional crackle before he shut it off. He sat there for a moment, contemplating the recent events.

"Wha . . . what's happening to me?"

He didn't have time for his usual morning routine so he settled for a shower and breakfast. He would've normally gone for an early morning run but his . . . dream threw his schedule off. Still a little drowsy from his late night he released Raijin and motioned him to follow.

Izuku made his way towards the kitchen, Raijin following behind. Izuku grabbed out 2 bowls, one for him, one for Raijin. He turned to his partner, and held up 2 cereal boxes.

"Which one do you want, Applin Jacks or Poke-Flakes?" He asked, giving both boxes a tiny shake.

Raijin put a hand to his chin before nodding. "Ele, Ele." He gestured to the Applin Jacks.

"Alright I'll pour you some." Raijin nodded in thanks.

Both trainer and pokemon sat at the table, eating bowls of cereal in silence. That's what Surge walked into when he checked the kitchen for Izuku's location.

Both Izuku and Raijin looked up when they heard Surge's laughter from the entrance to the kitchen. This caused him to laugh even louder at them.

"Something f-funny Surge?" Izuku asked.

"Kid, Ele." Raijin nodded along with Izuku.

As he forced himself to stop laughing he waved them off. "It's - Oh god hehe - It's nothing really. Just both of you silently eating synchronized was pretty funny. Hehe." He managed to get out, as he finally stopped laughing.

"Oh yea - before I forget, let's tell the little sparkplug what's your deal." Surge looked to Izuku then back at Raijin with a serious look.

Raijin just looked back and forth between Izuku and Surge waiting for them to let him in on whatever's going on.

Izuku crouched down and began explaining. "You can't tell anyone about this, alright?" At Raijin's swift nod, he continued. "I'm . . . I'm not from this world."

Now that got Raijin's attention. What does he mean? Is he an alien? At Raijin's look of confusion, he continued.

"The world I came from, pokemon don't exist. They never did. Over there, we are the ones with supernatural abilities. We dubbed them quirks." He activated his quirk around his arm to prove his point.

Raijin stared at the layer of green electricity layering Izuku's arm. This. Was. Amazing. He could help them train, he could fight with them - It changes so much!

Before he could get lost in thought, Izuku grabbed his attention. "What you see around my arm, increases my strength to insane levels. Right now, my body can't handle the full brunt of my strength so the sparks around me are the excess energy." He finally turned off his quirk after his explanation.

Izuku locked eyes with his partner before starting again. "So, are you still willing to be my partner and grow stronger?" Raijin just gave him a stare that made him feel stupid.

Izuku chucked while rubbing the back of his head. "Yea that's kind of a stupid question. It's not like anything bad came from that revelation." Raijin gave him a nod.

"Oii. Now that you're done with your moment, c'mere. I got something for your journey." When Izuku took the object from his hand, he gave him a questioning look.

Izuku examined the red object in his hand with a scrutinizing gaze before looking up at him. "What's this?"

Surge sent a teasing grin his way before poking fun at him. "C'mon, after all this studying, I thought you would at least know what this is."

Izuku gave him another questioning look before his face lit up in realization. "Ohhh. It's a pokedex isn't it?" His question was met by a grin from Surge.

"Yep. It's one of the newer models; the blasted thing was a pain to get. Those are hard to get a hold of, even for me. I expect you know how to use one, am I right?" He was met with a nod of affirmation from Izuku.

"This one basically acts like a phone, so you don't need to worry about getting a laptop to continue your research." Surge's teasing grin appeared on his face as Izuku heard Raijin's snicker behind him.

"Thanks. For everything, Surge." The lieutenant's eyes widened for just a moment before he continued.

"You took me in, a random kid who you didn't know. You fed me, cared for me, and gave me these opportunities. So for that, I'm grateful." He gave Surge a huge hug before the man could get a word in.

Surge stood stunned for a minute before hugging him back, a genuine and soft smile spreading across his face. "Your welcome Izuku, now go and show the world who you are." Izuku looked up and matched his gaze.

"I will."

Izuku went upstairs to gather his things before heading out, Raijin on his tail. Surge couldn't wipe the smile off his face. Was this how it felt to raise a kid?

Izuku, having already exchanged his goodbyes with Surge, had already left the gym's "barracks" as Surge liked to call it, and was heading towards the pokecenter Nurse Joy worked at. He needed to say goodbye to them as well, after all.

As he made his way back to the hospital, he looked back to see Raijin a little out of breath from their little jog there. "You want to go in your ball for now? I could let you out later."

After Raijin declined the offer. They continued to the front desk and asked about their friend.

" Excuse me Ms." He glanced down at your name tag before continuing. "Ms Gomez, could you call Nurse Joy down if she isn't busy right now? Thanks in advance."

The nurse looked at him before nodding. "Ok sweetie. Oh and what's your name?" The nurse asked with a sweet smile.

"My name's Izuku Midoriya." The nurse's eyes widened when she heard his name.

"Oh! You're that boy who was found heavily injured about 2 weeks ago. Am I right?" Izuku nodded with a little embarrassment showing on his red tinted cheeks.

She smiled gently at him. "Yea I'll call her down right now." She picked up the landline on her desk before waiting for a moment for someone to pick up.

"Yes, hello. Can you please send Nurse Joy down to front, Izuku Midoriya is calling for her. Mhmm, thanks." She turned back to him, "You can go sit over there she's on her way."

"Thanks Ms. Gomez."

"Your welcome Izuku." She went back to her work.

[Later]

After about 2 minutes, Nurse Joy came out into the front. She looked around the room before Ms. Gomez pointed in his direction. When Nurse Joy did, her eyes widened before she made her way over.

She glanced at his backpack before talking. "Well, it seems as if you're ready to leave. I thought you would've spent another day or so getting to know Ele-" Raijin cut her off with a warning. "Raijin, sorry." Raijin nodded in approval.

"Yea, I just thought it would be better if I start right away. After all, I am excited to explore the world. And . . . get home." Nurse Joy gave him a small smile and brought him in for a hug.

She had a soft smile on her face and started to run her hand through his hair. "It's ok Izuku, I understand. I'll help you with whatever I can, ok?" She asked in a soft voice.

Izuku just reciprocated the hug and nodded. "Thanks." He murmured softly.

[Route 5]

He couldn't lie. The beauty of nature in this world outmatched his easily. The massive lake looked beautiful surrounded by trees, a nice clearing where some kids were playing with pokemon, the gentle breeze, and - just - everything.

He loved it. It was relaxing, calming, and natural. Raijin was watching Izuku's reaction, nodding and smirking to his astonishment.

Raijin started moving forward on his short legs, gesturing for his trainer to follow along. His trainer shook his head to snap out of his stupor, and started moving along.

It was like - wait, no. It was a new world he was in. And he was enjoying it. The pokemon made everything so - so amazing. There were visible magikarp and goldeen swimming around the lake. There were a couple slowpoke fishing and a psyduck sitting under a tree, holding its head.

Walking around, recognizing the pokemon he was studying, it was so rewarding. It made him swell with pride, but also. . .sorrow. He was over here, having fun relaxing, while his friends, teachers, and heroes were working - oh god. Were they looking for him?

They were never going to find him. All that time and effort wasted. Or would they search for him at all? No. They definitely wo -.

He was pulled from his increasingly darker thoughts by Raijin tapping his leg. Raijin pointed to a kid looking at him with worry obvious on his face.

"Mr, are you alright? You look worried." The young boy asked.

Izuku looked at him, taking his appearance for the first time. Some khaki shorts, yellow shirt, black running shoes, and a blue hat. He smiled as he responded to the kid.

"Yea. Yea I'm fine. How are you? What's your name, little guy?" He asked, leaning down with a soft smile.

The kid smiled back and grinned. "I'm alright Mr. My name is Joey. Let's have a battle!" He finished with an excited smile while pumping his fist in the air.

He was caught off guard by the kid's sudden switch from worry to excitement, but couldn't help but smile at the kid's infectious smile. "I'll have a battle if my partner is ok with it." He turned to his starter. "You want to fight?"

Raijin nodded and pointed towards his pokedex, before throwing a regular punch. Izuku tilted his head in confusion before his eyes widened. He face palmed as he groaned.

"I feel so stupid." Raijin smirked at his reaction. Puing out the pokedex, he pointed it at Elekid before scanning.

[Elekid, The Electric Pokemon. Its ability is Vital Spirit. This pokemon knows: Ice Punch, Cross Chop, Charge, Quick Attack, and thundershock.]

When he looked up, he saw the kid looking at him wide eyed. "Woah, that's so cool! You must be super strong if you got a pokedex."

Izuku shyly scratched the back of his head. "Um, actually, I'm not that strong. I just started my journey today."

The kid seemed to get even more excited. "WOAH! That's even better. That means you're super smart and know how to train pokemon! You're super cool Mr!"

"I-I did study a lot so yea, I know a bit." He started to get embarrassed. He couldn't help it! The kid was too genuine.

"Kid." Raijin sounded bored and gestured for them to split up. The kid's eyes widened before he ran back a bit and released his pokemon.

"Oh yea! I forgot we were gonna fight. Go Rattata!" A small purple rat was released from the kid's ball.

The rat pokemon, realizing it was in battle, faced the opposing pokemon and hissed. The little kid smiled and jumped in excitement. "Come on, Rattata! We're going to win this time!" The pokemon turned back and nodded before facing it's opponent again.

As Raijin stepped up, Izuku took a deep breath to calm his breathing. It was his first battle, even if it was against a kid. He couldn't lose.

Steeling his face into a serious expression and ignoring the thumping of his heart, he faced the young boy. "Ready when you are."

Thanks for reading this chapter, and once again sorry for not uploading it last week. I had to study for 3 exams, and had to finish up a project. It was just a shitty week for me. But for future reference, if I miss an upload, I'll probably double up next week. So expect a second chapter sometime this weekend.

Same routine as usual leave and reviews or ideas you would think would make the story better. Also please feel free to correct me or give me tips on how to improve my writing. I'm still pretty new to this and would like to make the stories as good as possible.

Thanks and have a good day!
