Thanks for all the positive feedback and support throughout my story. I will consider adding a couple of the pokemon you suggested in future chapters. Also yes the trade evolutions will not exist in this story. They will either evolve normally or with their required items.

Izuku woke up to chirping and sunlight on his face. At first confusion spread across his face, before he remembered last night. He had fainted right as he got to camp.
Slowly pushing himself up, he pulled out his pokedex and checked the time. He groaned when he saw the time, 1:36. He slept through the morning.
He stretched, spreading his arms up, eliciting a groan of contentment at the crack of his back. Slowly relaxing his stance, he reached for his partner's pokeball before releasing him.
When Raijin came out, he looked around, before frowning in confusion. He looked towards his trainer, gesturing around to the forest while sending him a questioning look.
Izuku chuckled and gave him an answer. "Sorry about that. I forgot the supplies here before I left, so I had to run back but ended up passing out when I arrived." His starter just shook his head while moving to sit down underneath the same tree he did the previous day.
"I'm going to get breakfast ready. Go relax, I'll let you know when it's done." Raijin nodded before closing his eyes.
They both sat in comfortable silence while Izuku was cooking. After 10 or so minutes, it was done. "Raijin! It's done! Come get your food!" Izuku called out.
Raijin quickly hopped up, and ran over. He yanked the plate with eggs, bacon, and some fruit towards himself. Before he could start digging in, he looked over to the third plate of food.
"Ele." He questioned his trainer while grabbing a piece of bacon and nibbling the edge, his eyes widening in contentment as he scarfed down his bacon.
Izuku grinned nervously. "I am going to let Vulpix out to eat breakfast. Just be prepared if things go south." Raijin nodded along, his face being stuffed with the bacon he had on his plate.
Izuku shook his head as he watched his partner stuff his face. He pulled out his pokeball and enlarged it, releasing the fox pokemon. In a burst of white light, the fox pokemon appeared, huffing in annoyance.
She glanced at the one who caught her and huffed, before looking around. Her eyes landed on the plate of food. She took a moment to glance around at the ones surrounding her, before cautiously moving towards the food and sniffing it. Carefully, she tried a bit of it, before digging in.
Izuku smiled at this and went to eat his food, but noticed his bacon missing. He turned to Raijin, a neutral look on his face as Raijin shrugged and slid his empty plate over, gesturing for seconds.
Shaking his head, he loaded up the plate while thinking of how to address Vulpix. Upon deciding on an approach, he addressed the fox. "Vulpix." The vulpine pokemon turned from her food to face him. "You understand that I caught you right?"
The fox stared at him with a blank expression, making him feel stupid. He cringed and pushed on. "S-sorry that was a stupid question. Well I was going to ask if you want to stay on the team or not."
At this, the little pokemon gave him a questioning look. Most people normally don't give pokemon this option. They either keep them till they obey, or just send them to wherever they keep pokemon that aren't on hand.
Izuku waited for the fox pokemon to respond, as it sat still. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the Vulpix finally nodded, making Izuku smile. "That's good to hear. We're going to travel to saffron, and stay for a couple days, to get some supplies we forgot to pack at vermilion and train."
The fox pokemon yipped in agreement before using its paw to slide its dish over. Izuku sighed. "Alright, we'll leave once all of us finish eating." Both his pokemon nodded in agreement.

After they finished eating their . . . breakfast? Lunch? Brunch? Well, whatever meal they had, Izuku packed their stuff after, and they headed out. With Vulpix up on his back-pack, and Raijin by his side, they walked at a leisurely pace on the road.
"Hey Vulpix, do you want a nickname, or should I just call you by Vulpix?" The fox pokemon looked up at him, and nodded.
"Ok, I'll start listing names, and you just nod to one you like alright?" The fox pokemon nodded once again.
"Alice, Pyro, Azula, Yui, Hana. . . ". As he started listing off names, Vulpix started shaking her head to each name he listed off.
"Hina, Kanako, Yōko, Mi-" He was cut off by a quick but loud yip in his ear. Cringing at the sound, he lifted his hand to his right ear, before continuing.
"Did you like Kanako?" Vulpix shook her head. " So it was Yōko?" He was rewarded with a joyful yip.
"Yōko huh. Well, Welcome to the team Yōko." The now dubbed Yōko jumped up and down on his pack while yipping happily before quieting down. Chuckling, Izuku just patted the fox's head to calm her.
'If being a trainer is like this alot of the time, then I can get used to this.' He thought smiling as he listened to the noise of the forest and the occasional chatter of his team.

As they finally made it to the Saffron, they were bored. The trip to the city wasn't eventful. They didn't encounter trainers, or other pokemon worth battling. It was a long, peaceful walk.
As Izuku was walking around the city attempting to find the pokecenter, he couldn't help but smile. It was just like home. People walking around, some cars, and other forms of transportation, street vendors and much more. It was so nostalgic.
He felt a tug on his leg, and looked down seeing Raijin. Realizing he stopped walking, he apologized and looked to where he was pointing. To his left, the pokecenter sat at the corner of the block down the street. He grinned and nodded his thanks to Raijin, before heading over.
When he entered, he noticed that it was pretty empty or quiet. Maybe they went out to train or for supplies. As he started approaching the counter he held up the pokeballs, and with two sighs of resignation, he recalled his teammates.
As he arrived at the counter, he made his intentions known. "Hello Nurse Joy. I'm here to get my pokemon checked up."
The nurse smiled and nodded before reaching under her desk and pulling out a tray. "Please put your pokemon right here, we'll call you in a minute when it's done."
He nodded and thanked her before walking away to check his trainer profile. He wanted to see Yōko's data. As he clicked on her name on his team registry, his eyes widened a bit in surprise.
'Ahh, that's how she outspeed Raijin so easily. She has disable. Obviously not trained very much though. Pretty good set of moves for a wild pokemon.'
Incinerate, Confuse Ray, Ember, Quick Attack, and Disable were a phenomenal set of moves for a wild pokemon. It indicates she trained well to learn those all on her own. She would grow to be an integral part of the team in the future.
Plus maybe she could help Raijin learn Quick Attack and some fire moves. He smiled at the thought. He may be able to find a way home quicker if he gets stronger with his team. Then they could find a way home.
He was brought out of his musings however, when he heard Nurse Joy calling his name. "Izuku! Your team is ready to be picked up!" He quickly stood up and made his way to the counter to get his team.
As he made it to the counter, the Joy of Saffron city smiled at him. "Your team is all healthy. They only had minor problems like bruises and some burns."
He smiled when he heard their health. "Thanks for checking them. Have a good day." As he turned away, he remembered about the pokemon food. He turned back to face Nurse Joy. "Umm, sorry to ask, but do you have any suggestions on where to get pokemon food for electric and fire type pokemon." He asked while bashfully scratching his head.
Nurse Joy chuckled at his reaction, before handing him a map of the city. "Here I circled some places on the map for you to check out. These are some of the best places for them. The ones near the Silph Corp building tend to be a little pricier."
"Thanks for the help." Nurse Joy gave a smile and wave as he made his way out of the pokecenter.
As he made it outside, he released his team. Raijin stretching out, and Yōko hopping onto his shoulder, before settling on his pack. He couldn't help but smile, they were growing- no they already grew on him. He can't imagine not having them with him.
"Alright guys, we're going to stock up on supplies. So we're going to go shopping. After that, we can train a bit before or after we get something to eat. Is that alright?" His team gave him calls of agreement.
"Ok, let's get going then." Izuku gave a shaky grin, he still wasn't good at talking to other people yet.
xxXXxx
"Here is your change, thanks for shopping with us." The clerk said while handing him his bag of stuff and change.
Izuku reached out for his items and accepted the change. "Ye-yea, have a n-nice day." He shakeley added on before rushing out of the store. He ignored his team's snickering on the way out.
After a bit of walking, they made their way back to the training grounds behind the Pokecenter. As they made their way to some benches, he took off his pack and served them some pokemon food.
"Go on, try it. I want to know if I should ever buy this stuff again." He motioned for his pokemon to try the food.
He watched Raijin grab a single pellet from the bowl and nibble on the edge. He shrugged after tasting the edge and ate the pellet. He held his hand out straight and wiggled it from side to side. "Ele."
Izuku and Yōko took in Raijin's reaction. "So it's alright? Should I buy this again or not?" He asked imploringly.
Raijin shrugged once again, not caring much if he did or not, knowing he would just have some of the food his trainer was making if he wasn't feeling it. Yōko eventually gave in and started eating the kibble.
She thought it was alright. It wasn't anything special. She would do the same as Raijin and have some of her new trainer's food if she didn't want to eat the bland kibble.
As Izuku was watching his pokemon eat, he recalled what he wanted to ask Vulpix. "Hey Yōko, were you using disable to slow down Raijin?"
Raijin's head shot up and he glared at Yōko when he heard Izuku's question. The vulpine didn't answer but her light laughter, or what could be considered giggling for a pokemon, was more than enough answer.
Raijin huffed and crossed his arms while mumbling something incoherently, crumbs of kibble dribbling down his body. Izuku couldn't help but smile a bit, at the amusing situation unraveling in front of him.
Before things could devolve further, he quickly continued his line of thought. "Your Disable is pretty strong for you training it on your own. We're going to have to work on making it more effective though." Vulpix seemed to preen under the praise, but he continued before he could coo at the adorable sight. "I've also noticed your skill with Quick you mind helping me teach it Elekid. It would diversify his movepool."
Vulpix seemed to think about it, before nodding. She sent Raijin a teasing smirk while yipping something that sounded like a taunt. Raijin just huffed again while shaking his head.
Izuku smiled at the sight. Clapping his hands together to gather their attention, he spoke. "Alright, who's ready to train?"
