Shanks pov

Lucia was able to say a couple words now but she can't walk yet, so today was supposed to be normal.

I was sitting in a chair in my room while watching Lucia play in the corner with a couple toys, I glanced at my hat and grabbed it putting it on my head but when I looked away Lucia escaped my room. When I looked back I heard yelling out doors so I ran out to find half the crew chasing Lucia with their stuff, lucky's goggles, bens cig, yassops headband, and surprisingly Kincade's staff I sighed I'm to young to deal with a child- I ran after her as well turns out my hat dropped and she grabbed it i started to run faster yelling at her

"LUCIA!"

"SOMEONE CATCH HER!"

"HEY MY GUN!"

She was fast fro a baby, I got tierd of running after her, she dropped everything else except my hat. I continued to run yelling "GIVE ME MY HAT!" I stood still and yelled as loud as I could looking at her "GOL D. LUFICER!?" She stopped and looked at me hat on her head, I walked over to her and grabbed my hat putting it on my head "no don't take other stuff without asking!" She started make a sad face and cry, I picked her up with a sigh "why did I agree..." I took her back to my room trying to calm her down, I sat on my bed rubbing her back to sooth her, as a baby I guess a D knows how to hide their wings as they were gone. I got an idea and started to sing bink's sake quietly

It quieted her down as she stared at me in amazement and wonder, I started to smile while singing it as I looked at her, she started to smile and laugh. Her wings poped out again and were raised a bit showing she was happy!

Once I finished she had clapped her hands and laughed, she then hugged me with a smile "I wove u" I smiled and hugged her back "yea I love u to kid" I placed her on the floor standing "want to try and walk?" She smiled and nodded so I picked her up and put her a couple feet away "ok try and walk to me without falling of losing balance" she nodded and looked down at her feet as she balanced, she became a cheeky little shit and walked faster this time laughing, lol mcd she got to me she hugged my leg with a giggle "I dib it!" I picked her up and held her "now can u walk back again?" She was positive so I put her on the other side of the room that's about 2 yards from the head of my bed, she started quick and soon ran over to me fast to, once she had accomplished that her wings grew to a bout a foot long, her wings grow each time she accomplished something in life she had big pair of black with white tipped faded wings in the back and but smaller gold and black tipped faded wings in the front. I pet her wings feeling how soft they were, she made a purring noise as I did so, it was adorable so I continued a bit longer before stopping. "Lucia do you know what the will of the D is? And what ur wings mean?" She shook her head and crawled into my lap interested, I smiled and started to tell her everything Roger told me "but the thing is I think your wings me power love respect and wisdom as u have four!" She looked to wings and smiled "shishishi! That's cool! What else?" I told her about the kiss stuff she smiled a then plucked off two feather one from each wing and handed em to me with a kiss "there! Now papa can have wings like me!" I chuckled and took the feathers placing on my desk next to Roger and rouges.

Skip to about 2 years later-

Still shanks pov

Lucia has just turned 5, and everything was ok! No run ins to other pirates, but we did run out of food, the closest island was a place named dawn, dawn island! So we hoped there was a village and set course.

Lucia walked over to me and hugged my leg "hey something wrong? Ur not usually this quiet." She shook her head and reached up to me, I picked her up and held her in my arms cradling her. Her wings wrapped around me as if she'll was scared... did something happen last night? I carried her away from everyone to talk in private "what's wrong?" She sniffed but continued to hug me hiding her face in my neck, "lu talk to me please" she lifted her face and looked at me tears stunned her cheeks, it looks like she been crying for hours "kid what happened?" I place my hand on her cheek, wiping her tears away holding her head up. "Sniff last night I heard a crew mate say I was a freak with wings and said that I'm the demon daughter of Gol D. Roger..." A tick formed by my eye but I calmed down.

"Gol D. Lucifer... you aren't a demon neither are u freak with wings u are the daughter of the pirate king and the child I love to pieces, you are a beautiful human being with a kid loving father, that idiot man that said that deserves to go die in a ditch for thinking so meanly about you"

She sniffed and smiled but couldn't hold back to tears and went to hug me again so I let her and walked out to the crew rubbing her back as she silently cried or is asleep on me. I stood next to benn who was looking over the railing, "I felt with em threw em over not to long ago" I nodded holding her in place. Her wings had sprouted and been flopped down, she was asleep. I left her as she was and noticed the island was closer then before. "We should be there in about an hour or so"

We docked at the docks, "leave now pirates! Your not wanted in this village!" I just gave them a soft smile and laughed "we aren't here to pillage your small village we just want to restock and use this as a base for a while!" There was silence before Lucia woke up with a small yawn "a child!" The old man yelled out, Lucia only looked at me sleepy "papa where are we?" I wrapped my other arm around her back "we're at that island u saw earlier!" She smiled a bit drowsy "can I sleeeeep please?" I chuckled and nodded as she put her head by my neck as I could feel her breath on my neck. "We don't hurt anyone unless you attack us first we aren't rude" a lady with two children one at each side walked up "you may stay but my I ask why pirates have a child with them?" Lu sat up with another yawn done with her sleep she stepped onto the railing and sat down with a smile "this is my papa! In this papa benn!" I ruffled her hair with a laugh, she giggled as got up and jumped on me swinging around now propped on my shoulders. I held her by the feet to keep her in place. "I see this is ace and this is sabo these two lovely gentleman can see to protect you" Lucia scoffed " I don't need to be protected!" The two boys rolled their eyes. Lucia jumped down from the ship and card used her wings to glide down to the ground safely l sighed and followed by jumping down "we need to work on u not useing ur wings so much u can't let everyone know u D's usually have wings at birth!" She shrugged "whatever" she walked past the two boys and followed the lady "well? Cmon!" She caught up with her and started a conversation. I grumbled to myself on how I need to work on her manners..

Done! I might fix this later but I hope u all enjoyed this!
