Shanks pov

Me,benn, and Lucia went to go find ace and sabo. While walking through the forest Lucia ran off ahead of us, "hey! Kid!" I tried running after her but Ben just held me back "she'll be fine"I looked where she ran and sighed "ok.."

We walked slowly before I got bored. We spotted the bandit hut with ace and sabo but no Lucia? "Yo!" They looked to me one smiled one was worried. "Where's Lucia?" They shrugged and I slowly was filled with panic "let's look around to make sure she isn't lost " they nodded as I ran off to a clearing, I'll search from the sky they search below.

As I glide through to sky I saw another ship, I flew down nearby to spy ok the ship see what it was. "Keep the brats wing tied down we can't let the monster Fly off!" Monster?

"HEY BACK OFF MY PAPA SAYS IM NOT A MONSTER!" A loud yell of anger was heard. A small child maybe? They came into my sight finally, it was Lucia.. she was shoved into a cage as her wings had a little thing on em keeping them in place. She tried to move them and whimpered in pain. As mad as I was I walked over to them forgetting my wings were out. They flared in anger behind me "OI" they looked at me and smirked. "Look another winged freak! If we catch two and sell em together we will be rich!"

A shot could be heard, the bullet barely grazed my arm as I shot up quickly. I swooped around in circle, I would use haki but I can't risk affecting Lucia, I fled leaveing her there to go find benn trying not to cry at my actions.

My wings started to hurt as I flew over the forest, once I saw a patch of grass i glided down and landed silently with a sigh. I heard rustle i a busy and quickly used some observation haki to see who it was, I loosened up a bit when I noticed it was benn. I sat down and lay on my side and closed my eyes, wings wrapped around me. He sat next to me putting a hand on my shoulder "did u find her?" I shook my head as a lie. I'm not usually a god LIER but then again I was also silently cursing myself for leaving her behind. "Are u sure" I shook my head "where is she.." I curled a bit "slave traders took her...I couldn't get to her in time..." he nodded and quickly sat me up and opened his arms, I stared for a second before I dove straight into him. We sat there hugging for a while. I eventually fell asleep tired.

Benns pov for a while

As I hugged him I felt his body relax and his wings went from hugging me to down at his side, "he's asleep.." I only looked at him for a while before I positioned him to lay on me just give him a Better sleep for a while. I glanced down at his face giving me a soft smile. He looked peaceful sleeping but more importantly happy with the small smile on his face, I sighed and picked him up, his wings retracted in. I held him on my back and walked through the forest back to the bandit hut.

"Benn! Did u and shanks find lu!" I looked at the two kids and nodded "where is she? Is she ok?" I shook my head and looked straight watching where I step. I felt shanks shift on my back putting his head against my neck, I could feel his breath making me (even if I won't admit it) blush a smidge Iv never gotten this close to him before nor has he been like this to me before... or has he and I just didn't notice? Was I the one being the oblivious idiot and not him? I snapped out of it ducking in time to not hit a branch overhead. I turned right finding the hut, I stopped infront of it as ace came out out and noticed me. He beckoned me down so I crouched down a bit he handed me a feather and a kiss on the cheek, "for doing your best on protecting my sister Lucia" I blinked in a bit of confusion before I realized their doing what they did to shanks. I took the feather and nodded.

I felt him shift on my back again this time he wrapped his wings around me along with his arms hiding his face into my neck with a smile, a blush spread across my face as he did so, I glanced down at ace who was smirking "if you tell him about this I will make u regret it" he smiled and nodded. I continued my walk to the ship not able to hide the blush that covered my face.

By the time I got there they looked at me with a smirk "ooooh~ someone's got a little crush~"

"What's wrong the captain to cute for ya?"

I grumbled slightly paying no attention to them I walked into his room and put him on the bed, I sat down on the chair next to his bed with a sigh placing my hand over my face. I heard a yawn and noticed he sat up and looked at me rubbing his eyes "benn how did we get here?" I looked at him but I didn't answer.. "Benn? Are u feeling ok? Your face is red." He stood up and walked over to me and grabbed my face looking at me. I put my hand on his cheek and brought him down closer. We stared at each-other for a while before he sat down on-top of me and kissed me- I took my a second before I just closed my eyes and let it happen. It felt like everything was gone and all there was, joy and love replacing anything else.

We eventually broke away for air but I only looked at him with a smile, "benn-." I quickly pulled him in for a hug, "I love you ya idiot" he hugged me back handing me a feather. "I love you to."

I'm gana cry rn- that in my head was a perfect needed moment- and I loved it. Especially cause it was through benns pov so u got see what he thought about it in a way? Eh anyways hope y'all enjoyed this? Maybe? Hopefully? Probably not / either ways writhing this is actually fun and this is also keeping me from trying to kill Someone (not literally)
