Ch.6

Ryu and Sonya snuck into the Vilgoor empire trying their best not to be seen by the now the high alert empire. Sonya was trying to find a signal where the meet-up point for her team was. But it is kind of hard to do that since the ninja want to go his own way.

"where are you going?! It's this way." Sonya said try make the ninja follow her but better said than done.

"I have my mission, to get back the dark dragon sword before it destroys the world. You have yours"

"My mission is to bring you in! can't do that if you're going the opposite way!" Sonya said frustrated by the ninja. Ryu stop and turn to her

"You never told me the reason why by the way," Ryu said with his eye narrow. Sonya sigh knowing she really needs to regain this ninja's trust. Maybe revealing some more info will help.

"My mission is to bring you to c.i.a."

"you told me that already."

"The C.I.A. wants you for some reason. They were hoping that you or your father would help them with some classified stuff." Sonya said. Ryu fold his arm not really trusting on what Sonya said.

Sonya put her hand up "Look, that is all that I know. My job is to bring you in. when I went to the location where the Hayabusa was it was gone. The village looks like it was attacked…" Sonya said trailing off. then look up at Ryu "what happen?"

Ryu just turn away from her, refusing to tell her what happened. What happened that night still play in his head. He clenches his hand wanting to get revenge on all the people in his village. He was about to walk away from Sonya. Until he senses something near them. Ryu felt this before when the village was under attack. Of the corner of the wall, both are. Ryu glace at the corner to see an army of Vilgoor smoring around. They rush out of their tank swarming the area. Clearly, the city is on high alert. Both Ryu and Sonya overheard the soldier saying something.

"The city in lockdown. No one gets in or out. Do I make myself clear?"

"Sir! Why the city was in lockdown, sir?"

The Vilgoor captain just looks back at his men with a serious look, "there be a report of fiends raining havoc in near this area, from our intel they said there is this one fiend who is young but still dangerous. It tries to get into the city but are bravo team was sent they were unfortunately they weren't able to stop him. They were also reported there a spy from C.I.A. find them. And estimated them."

"Sir, yes sir!" all the soldiers stated before spreading out and searching the area. Both Ryu and Sonya watching hoping they don't come this way. Sonya curse to herself as the situation gone worse.

"Great. Now we are trapped here!"

"You mean, your trap here. what is a fiend that there talking about?" Ryu asked still wondering what those soldiers meant.

Sonya sigh knowing she traps Ryu in the city. She looked down at the communicator that was on her wrist and saw she have no signal.

'Communication is also down' she thought

Sonya then notices bright light from distance.

"Ryu, I think they're a bar up head. We can use it to recover." Sonya said as she point at the bar, not wanting Ryu to leave. Ryu was about to scoff off and leave the women when both of them heard a roar coming from the bar. Not only that Ryu sense something in there he saw. He quickly rushes toward the bar. Sonya follows as well.

Ryu rushes in to see a fiend fight a woman clad in a rather revealing outfit. The fiend growled at the woman. And was about to charge at her, but turn towards Ryu. it hissed at him

'why is he still alive?!' it hissed. Ryu eyes widen in surprise that it understands this fiend.

"wh-" before Ryu can say something to the fiend, the woman charges at the fiend with her huge axe. With one mighty swing, bring it down over its head, killing the fiend.

"Phew, that was a big one," The woman said while taking a breather. She didn't realize she wasn't alone till she turned around to see Ryu and Sonya. The women eye them both

"you two don't like you are around here."

"Neither do you." Sonya chimes in. wondering how a woman who dresses up like that can go around fighting fiends.

"True. I'm just passing by. since my target is hiding in this city." The women beacon them to fellow. "Come with me to the roof, it's not safe here." as the women head to the roof, Sonya whispers to Ryu's ear

"Should we trust her?"

"Not like I Trust either of you," Ryu said as he follow the women. Sonya sigh and knows she has followed her as well.

When they reach the rooftop, they saw the women look out at the edge and see the soldier running around.

"My name is Rachel. You two seem like interesting pairs" Rachel said still staring at the soldier. "what's yours."

"Classified. You can call me Sonya." Sonya said

"and you ninja boy?"

"Ryu."

Rachel then turns around and aims her axes toward Ryu. "tell me Ryu, are you really human?"

Ryu was taken aback by the question this is the second time some thought he wasn't human. He made sure that she doesn't notice it and kept his composer "Why you asked that?"

Rachel retracted her axe "Oh nothing. Can't be too sure now were days. What are you two after anyways?"

Sonya was going to speak up but Ryu spoke first "I'm looking for a fiend name Doku."

Rachel raises her eyebrow wondering why he look for that fiend.

Ryu said with hate in his voice "He attack my village and took a dangerous weapon."

Rachel narrows her eyes from the name "oh, so you looking for him? If he was so easy to kill I would have killed a long time ago." Rachel then looks back to the street and senses something from afar. "I guess this going to be a long night. If you want some more info about the Doku you can go to the Cathedral." Rachel said before she jump off the roof and swing away.

"Couldn't least say where that is." Sonya groan as she turn to Ryu. she know from the look in Ryu's eye that he was dead set on his revenge and he won't take no for answer. Even forcing him to come with her won't work as she wants to live.

Ryu was thinking about what hunter said. Doku might be a very tough fiend but he'll make sure that he gets the dark dragon blade back and kill Doku for what he had done to his village.

"She interesting, isn't she?"

Both Sonya and Ryu quickly turn to the new voice. Both ready their weapon to see a man in the shadows. He was a long brown trench coat. Ryu was shocked that he couldn't sense the man which put him on edge. The man quickly put his hands up as he can tell Ryu was ready to attack him at that moment.

"I mean you two no harm. Just sightseeing. Even though I can't see much since the shutdown." The man said as he walk around out. Both Ryu and Sonya kept their eye and weapon on him still. The man just ignores it " and don't worry about Rachel, she can handle it. But-" before either of them can react, the man grabs Sonya from behind. Before she could comprehend what had happened the man whisper in her ear.

"You should be careful around him, he's more dangerous than he seems."

Before Sonya could say anything or at least try to move, Ryu slash his sword between them. The was able to dodge it with ease the man then got to the edge of the roof again.

"I see you two later, if you survive." with that he jumped down from the roof, Ryu quickly ran to the edge to see where the man is but he couldn't find no trace of him. Ryu knew from that man was no ornery man something about that man telling him that he was not to be trusted.

"Hey, Ryu?"

Ryu snaps his attention back to Sonya. Ryu was about to ask her what that man said to her. Judging from her look whatever that guy said to her really concern her.

"Look I know you want to avenge your clan…" Sonya paused thinking about what to say to a piss-off ninja that can end her at any moment if he wanted to. "How about this, if I help you get to Doku and get the dark dragon blade back, will you come with me?"

"And if I refuse?"

"Look." Sonya then used her commuter to show Ryu a map on it." there is a church, that may hold some info. There is a book calls the 'fiend bible', which has some information about that Doku guy. want it to sound like he a fiend not to be under esteem." Sonya turn off her commuter "if I help with your fiend problem will you then come with me?" Sonya said having no choice but to try to convince the ninja about this deal. Sonya knows how strong the Hayabusa clan is and from the report, she got from C.I.A, Joe,and Ryu were the only ones with no information on it.

'I have to be careful around him."

"I think about?" Ryu said

"I need a yes or no answer."

"You get the answer once we get the fiend bible. Maybe then I can trust you." Ryu said. Then sense more fiends were also heading in their direction. " We should go, those things are coming." Sonya nodded not wanting to stay there by herself. As the two travel to the church, they saw a lone soldier heading in their direction Ryu then grabs the soldier pulls him toward him then knocked him out. Sonya then grabs the device from the knocked-out soldier.

"I can see if the empire has something planning and also if the other soldier has this device too I can keep track of them," Sonya said as she tweaked the device. Ryu noted that Sonya was good with tech something that kind out his skill set.

'Good idea to keep her around

Ryu then senses something demonic heading their way. A creature that looks cat-like and feminine. Ryu pull out his sword as the fiend spotted them. Ryu slashed one off, removing the head then kick the body to the other cat-fiend.

" how long do you need to hack in?" Ryu asked while blocking two fiend who attack at the same time.

"Two minutes tops!" Sonya try quickly hack into the watch

Ryu was busy trying to make these fiends don't attack Sonya, they were much faster and their attacks were getting more vicious. One of the fiend back Ryu into a wall and slash its claw on Ryu's old wound. This almost triggers something inside of Ryu. Ryu is usually a calm man. His father taught him not to let his emotion get to him. And right now Ryu is having a hard time with that

"Kill them. Devour them."

Ryu almost pause from the thought that came to his head. Again why was he thinking like this it was almost as if he thinking like a…

"Ryu, watch out!" Sonya yell Ryu snapped out of his thought as one cat like fiend was attacking from above. With a slash that is so quick that neither Sonya nor the cat-fiend saw it coming. The cat fiend's head fell to the ground. The ramaing two fiend set back from this as their instinct tells them to get back. Ryu turns back to the fiends who seem like there talking to each other

'What is he?!'

'He like us, but not us!'

'We can kill him but can't he be scary.'

'Run run'

The two friends then ran off. Ryu breathe a heavy sigh as he holds his chest wound. It was aching again. Part of him regret not waiting for it to heal it.

"Glad your ok? Sorry it took so long to long." Sonya said as she walk to Ryu, seeing if he was alright. Ryu nodded signaling that he was ok.

"Let's get going before more of them show." Ryu said as they both head to church.
