-Lucia/Lucifer's Pov-

I had partial woken up hearing papas voice.. he was talking to who I assume benn as it was the voice of a man..or a woman? I couldn't really tell- I only flipped on my side hopefully facing away from papa... I felt the ship moving.. we obviously set sail somewhere.. I think I remembered papa mention earlier about going to the old man's execution.. that's probably where we are going... I sat up and rubbed my eyes not able to go back to sleep. "Hey kiddo- how ya feelin?" I looked at papa- he looked like his old self- full of energy and not as tierd... I looked next to him and saw that lady and gave her a nasty glare- she grinned at my actions, 'who and why is SHE here' I signed to him vigorously.. he chuckled awkwardly "her name is Zane and uh- she's my supposed sister- we got separated at birth kid-." I only growled at her I didn't like her stealing my papa from me.

"Hah! I like this kid! Viscous and protective!"

"Erm- she's not usually like this..."

"Nah it's fine I get it the kid doesn't want me to take her spot! I respect that- I would do that to if it was my brother- erm- well I guess u are my brother- I GET TO HAVE A REASON TO DO THAT NOW HAHA!"

"Yea- sure?"

I huffed before sitting cross legged on the bed keeping a close eye on the lady... she can't be trusted yet... papa sighed and picked me up setting me on his lap with a huff "I don't get why u can't trust her!" I faced him and carefully signed 'papi she's an unknown pirate- she also looks- well mostly not like you! I don't trust her because she's going to take u from me! Your going to forget about me!' He smiled and gave me quick hug "kid I would never forget u your my light of my life! And nothing can put you out.." I giggled quietly and lay down on his lap in a small curled ball, I could use the little observation haki papa taught me about a year ago to understand their movements and actions, I ended up sitting up and hugging papa while I rested my eyes for a while.. I was surprisingly more tired than normal.

I shrugged it off and lay against papa enjoying his warm embrace of a hug.. I know my life won't be like this forever.. one day I have to sail off.. on my own.. papa poked me "hmm?" I made a hum, he sat me up and I opened my eyes wearily "kid- I know now isn't a good time- but I need u to promise me something.." I nodded not knowing to expect, "when your 17 I'm going to set u off on your own.. promise me.. and oh so promise me you will never forget us and at the least keep contact with up on a transponder snail- and if not... at least know I love you ok?" I had teared up a bit.. there was no way I could forget papa! EVER! I nodded and quickly hugged him, I actually forgot the lady was there watching us... still tiered though I ended up almost passing out in the hug that It was out of exhaustion. Papa loosened the hug a bit on me and let me rest... I listened to papa and I guess her name what was it Zane? Yea hers conversation.

"So what is her dream ur setting her off at 17?"

"To be the pirate king- er- queen..."

"That's a nice dream... ya know I still haven't accomplished mine yet.."

"Oh? What's yours then"

"To be better than our dad.. I know all about him by meeting up with roger a couple times- but instead of not being like him in practically like him- power hungry..."

"Hey I'm sure you won't be like that forever you will change soon! I bet on it!"

"Yea...maybe-."

"Hey how bout we head to bed it's getting late anyways!"

"Yea- well gnight cya tomorrow! And for you little one.. I give you my blessing of being the protector you are.. and be a little fighter.."

There was a light kiss on my forehead giving me a full emotion of love and care sent through me putting me right to sleep.

Shanks Pov:

Zane gave her and myself a kiss on the forehead and cheek before trodding off, I smiled to myself I looked down to Lucia who was now asleep with a soft happy smile on her face. I stood up and placed Lucia down on my bed and moved the chairs to the side and left to go take SOME of my clothes off.. we never gave Lucia a room after learning if she sleeps alone she will have really bad night terrors.. so she just sleeps with me now..

I took of my pants, shirt, and waist tie off quietly, and placed my sword on the holder on the wall- I took off my hat and put it in the hook in the wall... I turned and put some shorts on over my underwear. I then quietly made my way over to the bed where I picked Lucia and got into the bed myself. Once in the bed I lay on my side and placed her In front of me, and on instinct she quickly hugged me with a whimper, I wrapped my arms around her small slim figure carefully and softly so I don't crush her. Her whimpers and crying had faded away under my hold. I smiled softly before placing a softy kiss on the top of her head, I rested my head on top of hers with a sigh through my nose. I moved my leg over hers and in a way entwined them.. just for safe measure..

as I lay there trying to sleep I only kept getting a bad feeling about something.. like I needed to be awake for something.. I opened my eyes with a sigh.. I glanced down at Lucia who didn't have a smile on her face.. instead her head was moving in a back and forth motion with a small scowl of fear on her face, she eventually started to mumble words. I quickly sat the two of us up and used my wings to create and little safe place for the two of us.

She clung to me and didn't move, what ever her dream was it wasn't good.. I tried waking her up but that made it worse, I knew I couldn't do this quietly so I got louder and louder by the second in a panic.. "LUCIA!" I kept shouting- still in a way kinda quiet.. in through the door burst Zane my oh so beloved sister.. she was panting as if she ran all the way "shit am I to late.. I knew something was off!" She sped over to me door shut behind her, she poked my wings so I opened them to her in a panicked state as well.. almost as if herself just awoke from a night terror... she looked at Lucia and sighed "stage 2 greaaat..." I was bit confused before I realized this was stage 2 of the night terrors... "what am I supposed to do?" I asked. She reached her arms out to grab her "can I?" I nodded and moved my arms away from Lucia's body. She carefully pried her off me and held her in a cradling position, and with that Lucia woke in a panic she didn't hesitate to hug whom ever was holding her with a sob, her breath hitched and she sounded like she could barely breath.. "hey hey shhh it's ok it's ok I need you to calm down and take big slow breaths follow me kid.." she took a couple exaggerated breaths of which Lucia followed, "good good.. what's something you see right now.." there was a shake of a head before she shakily signed 'eyes.. watching me from everywhere it's all dark..' I looked with worry in my eyes, "ok I need you to imagine something good somthin or someone that makes you feel happy or just something u like in General now tell me what you see."

Her breath hitched before she signed something, ' it's no dark anymore.. I can see! I can see you!' She sighed with a bit of a smile before Lucia huddled down with a whimper covering her ears, "hey hey hey! No no don't do that!" Zane took her hands off her ears with a loud growl, "son of a fuck- it's either dark or shadow.. that's what I named them.. their two evil sides of every person in this world.. one is a shadowing evil and the other is darker than evil.. I don't know if it's both nagging her or not- to know I would have to be in her head and I don't have the energy to do that right now.." her finger glow white as stuck it up "I can try this though... and brother if u try and protect her while I do this I will literally kill and and eat u from the inside out and lock your bones in a chest at the bottom of the ocean floor.." I knew to sorta take her seriously- so I did my best to refrain from taking her.

She placed the finger against Lucia's forehead softly but Lucia now started to groan and whimper in pain, my hands twitched as I watched it happen.. I had to fight against my will to grab her... Zane removed her finger from her head with a sigh and just hugged her.. "she's gonna be fine.. Ugh... I'm so happy I had a light night terror tonight..." she rested her head on-top of Lucia's with a sigh.. I had calmed a bit but was still on edge.. I wasn't used to people other than me and my crew holding lu... I stood up and grabbed both of them and sat them on the bed, "there..." I had noticed my sister blushed as I moved her, "do u have a problem or something?" She mumbled something under her breath, "speak up or I'll make you.." she groaned "I used to have a Crush on you and probably still do- and that was weeeeird... just- don't touch me unless I really need to be hugged-." I chuckled quietly only causing her to blush more, "yea yea sure.." she dove to hide her face in Lucia's hair "stooooooop" she mumbled.. I pat her head and sat next to her AFTER putting a shirt on, "being honest I haven't slept at all- and reeeeeally wana sleep" she glanced at me before lifting her head out of Lucia's hair. She started brushing her hair with her fingers softly with a smile.

"Ya know... Iv always wanted to have a sister to... but- we never got one... a bit sad... but hey... at least I have my brother..." I'm wrapped an arm around her and pulled her up against me before laying my head on-top of hers "yea- you have me now!" She chuckled herself and lay her head on my shoulder.. "your lucky I can get used to having a sibling... I'm not used to being so- C L I N G Y to someone.."I laughed before lifting my head to pat hers "well you better get used to it- Iv been doing it with Lucia for 6 years now!" She huffed before getting up and placing Lucia on the bed carefully, "there... I best be off... I have to do my night duty's.." I raised a brow wanting to question- but I let her go with no hassle.. I turned back to Lucia- "I'm goin to have to learn how to fix your new panic attacks kiddo... and most-likely gotta wear a shirt and pants to bed from now on..." I sighed before picking Lucia up and getting back into the bed. I slipped under the comforter with Lucia in arm, I pulled it just up her neck.. before carefully placing my face in her soft hair, with a sigh and small shift in my position- I had finally Been able to fall asleep with Lucia safe in my arms..

About a week later-

Lucia/Lucifer's POV:

I woke up with out papa in a panic, my breaths were very fast and short, my eyes were all blurry, my hand Was on my heart, I was sitting straight up in the bed having a panic attack without papa here... was I going to die?

'yess you will no! Be quiet! But why? You don'T need that man- he doesn't love you no one does- stop! Yes he does papa loves me he always has! He- he just went to do something I bet on it- but- where is he..'

Someone walked in before running out yelling, the door burst open again two people ran in after me, I was looking down at my hand crying, it was getting hard to hear-

'the voices- their drawing me in..'

I shut out the voices the whispering in my head, my eyesight came back still blurred up by my tears, I was pulled into a hug I don't know who but it felt like papa. Being hugged calmed me down for the most part I didn't care who It was I gave them a hug back, "hey hey calm down remember deep breaths kiddo deep breaths.. your safe I got you.." I took deep shaking breaths before I calmed- practically down... still crying I tightened my grip. I didn't care who I was hugging... I didn't care who was talking.. I only cared the fact the stupid voice was gone..

'I'm not gone forever'

'No! Shut up! Shut up!'

'Hey! Dark! Leave her alone man! She's been through a lot!'

'Who are you to tell me what to do..'

'Huh? You two are- bickering? Over- me? Wait wait u shadow one I though u were as evil as him!'

'Huh? No! I'm not as evil as him! He's darker than evil! I'm the shadow of evil!'

'Oh... I didn't know..'

'Stupid insolent child...'

"Kid! Kid! Hello? You there?" I snapped out of the talk between the two sides in my head, The tears came back though.. I wiped them away and looked up... both Zane and papa were there... the two would glance at each-other in worry at times before they would look back to me.. "kiddo you ok?" I nodded before I decided to sign ' I'm ok dad but can I ask- sign u a question?' He sorta- smiled and nodded, I sighed before I carefully signed. 'I- had a night terror that- you and the crew left me.. like u set me off.. then years later we met again... and- you guys forgot who I was- and... I had to fight you and you said I didn't love me when you set me out to be a pirate- and-' he pat my head before picking me up "kid- you known I would never hate you.. I love you with all my heart! How many times have I told you this? Over 5 times! And don't worry as I always say' your the light of my life- and NOTHING can put you out... now... we're here aren't we Zane?" I looked to his sister who nodded.. I assumed she meant the old man's execution... I sniffed and wiped my tears again before nodding and hugging papa... "here kid.. you can bring your katana.." papa was holding my moms katana in front of me.. I grabbed it a hopped down and put it like he has his sword and put both my hands on my waist with a proud look. Papa laughed at my actions and ruffled my semi-short hair now.. he walked out the room and I followed hot on his heels.

As I caught up to him I grabbed his hand so I wouldn't lose him, "Hm? Scared?" I shook my head but continued to hold his hand... as long as I was by papa I was safe- right?... right- a-anyways papa and Benn were talking for a bit so I clung to Benn instead.. "mmphf-" i made a little noise, there was the feeling of a hand on my back before I was picked up by the collar of my shirt, he lifted me up and put me on his shoulders. I laughed and giggled as I sat on his shoulder and rested my head on his with a purr. "Alright I think we should go join the crowd before she falls asleep.. I was told the execution should start in a couple mins.." we had started moving... I lifted my head and watched and looked around as we walked through the town...

Looking at all the shops was fun at times- some had silly names- some looked funny- it was all fun and games till we got to town square.. I glanced down at my katana with a whimper... I closed my eyes for a bit just enjoying the silence.

' Can you not be a wimp for once?'

'Dark shut up for once'

' Who are you two?'

'Did u not hear her, I'm dark- she's shadow..'

'Oh...sorry...'

'Ugh- don't APOLOGIZE brat..'

'Dark stop it! She doesn't know anything yet! Plus we can't show our selves yet! She's only a child!'

' What ever SHes old enough..'

'DARK NO-'

I re opened my closed eyes.. and looking behind me I saw 2 monstrously large demonic figures walking and fighting, being honest they aren't as scary as they looked- they were actually pretty cool! I stared in awe as the two bickered over practically nothing. "Whoa..." I whispered to my self. "Found somethin you like kid?" Called Benn, I looked down to him and smiled "mhm! She that shop over there- it's pretty!" I lied and pointed to a flower shop we had just passed... he nodded with a hum turning his attention back to where he was walking... I turned back to see the two stareing at me.. they were both about 7'8 grayish-black skin, short fluffy hair, their eyes were a pitch back cold darkness to them.. they looked like a bottomless pit, with two glowing dots for pupils, they had a gray toothed smile that never rid of their face, their teeth were sharp and jagged, their body's lanky and slim, their fingers were these large and longs sharp claws, same with their feet.., their arms were as freakishly long as their legs.., one of them lifted a finger and pat my head, "the child... isn't all that bad as we assumed.." they said with a thick Russian ( I dunno what accent to give her so eh-) accent.. "obviously dark! What da hell have I been Fuckin tellin ya!" The other one said with a think Irish accent this time.. and that's difference between the two.. shadow has a Irish accent- and dark has a Russian.

The two bickering was kinda funny... but I held in my laughter.. I used my mind to talk to them..

'You two aren't scary! Your pretty cool!'

'Cool? What's this- f e e l I n g- shadow what's happening?!'

'Haha! It's called happiness dark! I feel it to at times!'

' its- it's- weird...'

'To you maybe!'

' You guys are weird-'

'Yea we'll get used to it.. oh shit Zane's calling me..'

'WELL HURRY AND ANSWER GOD DAMN IT- SHES SCARY WHEN MAD!?'

'YEA YEA JUST SHUT IT!?'

'OI OI OI DONT YELL AT ME!?'

'YOIR YELLIN AT ME!?'

'YOU STARTED THIS FIRST!?'

'BOTH OF U BE QUIET!!'

'God your as bad as Zane..'

'AM NOT-'

' She's not wrong kid- anyways we gotta go find Zane.. cya'

The two disappeared as quick as the appeared... I turned back around and noticed we were already there.. in a large crowd there was a tall wooden stand.. and on the top was roger... that old man god damn it.. Benn took me off his shoulders and instead held me in his arms.. "you shouldn't look when they do it kid.." he whispered to me.. I shook my head and looked back up at the stand... He smiled... and said his last words.. "IF YOU WANT MY TREASURE SET OUT TO FIND IT!" And with that.. he was dead... I didn't close my eyes.. I kept them locked on- and watched every- bit of it- happen... i didn't look- or feel scared when I saw it... it felt- ok... we left straight away though.. papa said he didn't want to look any longer.. we set off to the ship... the two appeared infront of us.. I know so cause we stopped.. "Ugh- Zane is rude- makeing us stay with you..."

"HEY ITS A KID- BE QUIET BAKA!?"

"YOU DIDNT NEED TO HIT ME!?"

"Hahahaha! You guys are weird! Like me!"

"Yea- u are kinda weird-"

"She's got a point... ok I would pick u up but if I do these two might go on a rampage trying to kill us immortals..."

"No they won't... they won't if they want me happy!"

Papa and Benn both grumbled- I had a point if they want me happy they can't attack.. they let their guard down and let I think shadow pick me up and place me in the hand. "There! I can keep you safe now!" Dark laughed at her before the two turned their way and was now walking toward the ship...

Let's skip tooooo 5 weeks later- on shanks birthday :D

Still Lucia/Lucifer's pov

I woke up before papa today.. it's been a couple weeks that I haven't had any night terrors lately... not since- no we promised to forget about it.. anyways- i crawled out from under papas blanket and out into the open.. I got myself dressed and ready for the day! I knew what day it was! It's was my papas birthday today! And I had an idea- I called out for dark and shadow who NOW refused to go out in the sunlight- so I had to go down the very bottom and the darkest part of the ship where they hide.. now if anyone other than me entered all they would see is two pairs of glowing eyes stareing at them... but what see? Two idiots huddled in a corner! "Guys it's my dads birthday today!" They looked at each other.. "ok? What's a birthday?" I made an exaggerated gasp, "you don't know what a birthday is? Why it's the day you were born it's this hell whole of a world!" They didn't seem surprised so they shrugged... "anyways! We gotta surprise him! Like- I dunno give him a gift like he does for me!" They looked at each other again, "Don't you think your dad has all he could ask for? He has a crew, a lover, and new found sister, and a loving daughter! What more could he ask for?" I stopped... she had a point.. he does have everything anyone could ask for... but then I got an idea! That drawing of everyone! I still haven't finished! "I know what to give him! It's small but he's gonna like it! I just know he will!" They smiled (de fuck am I talkin about dey always got a creepy smile-)

I quickly ran back up onto the deck to find Benn... once I did he said we should give him one of the last cupcakes from the kitchen! So I did I ran to the kitchen and grabbed the Last cup cake before grabbing a candle and running off to Benn! Once I reached him we went inside his cabin, I quietly went to find the drawing that should be behind his desk.. I found it after a couple minutes! So I grabbed it and pulled it out before unfurling the piece of paper! I placed it to the side before quickly jumping on top of papa, I didn't fully wake him up but I did scare him! Which was kinda funny to be honest- he sat up quickly causing me to tumble off him and onto his lap with a giggle... he sighed before a smile crept onto his face "let me guess.." I nodded and quickly hugged him "happy birthday papa!" He chuckled and hugged me back "thank you kiddo..." I let him go "that not all!" Benn held up the cupcake and candle and I hopped down and placed the paper on his lap. He grabbed the mini cake and picked up the paper at looked at it with a smile "it's adorable! I think I'll put It-" he placed it on the wall next to him "here!" I giggled before he put it back on his lap and let Benn light his candle! The two of us sang him the song before he blew out the candle and started to eat the cupcake! He gave me a couple bites just cause he kept telling me I needed food to- Benn got some to! Once the cupcake was gone papa picked me up and placed me on his lap with a hug.. I purred as he hugged me-. At one point of time I opened my eyes and caught something no one else has before- Benn took out his cig and gave papa a kiss! I didn't my best to pretend I never saw anything but it was to late he noticed I saw "oi don't tell anyone kid" I giggled and nodded.
