(12th March 2022) Author's Note: Hello everyone, I'm back again with another chapter. I wanna thank everyone for the support on the last chapter. I know you are probably thinking 'what do you mean support? There are just some reads and some comments' well those reads and comments mean so much to me. Anyways, let's get on with this one!

Chapter 2

After a full overnight flight, the plane had set down at another one Hiccup's father's private airstrips. Hiccup got up, slung his back-pack over his shoulder as one of the cabin crew unlocked the door. Hiccup got out, the morning chill shrouding him as he got down the stairs. For the first time in a long time, he wasn't surrounded by the press, he wasn't surrounded by cameras and journalists asking him about his father. Hiccup felt, free, like he was able to breathe.

Maybe this won't be so bad Hiccup thought as a black car pulled up near him. A man got out, he had a custom-tailored suit and was clearly carrying a concealed weapon.

"Good morning, Mister Haddock,"

"Hiccup is just fine."

"Sorry, good morning, Hiccup, I'm from the secret service detail who'll be protecting you while we you are here," With these words Hiccup's face formed a frown, "Don't worry sir, we won't be by your side 24x7, we'll just have eyes on you while you are out of the house and during school."

"Wait school?" Hiccup said as they got into the car.

"I guess that wasn't mentioned, you'll be going to school to keep up your appearance as a normal person." Hiccup could only stare, his education was mainly done by professional tutors. He'd never gone to a proper school. He'd dreamt of going to school, making friends, going to parties and everything else they showed in the movies. The car started to move as they slowly made their way into Berk highways. He saw the houses, the scenery, it was nothing that he had expected. It was your ordinary town.

After a while, they stopped Infront of a house. It was a bit dark, the front consisting of some flowers, a pathway leading to the door and a wooden porch. He got his belongings out of the car as the team parked the car in the garage, bringing out surveillance equipment away from prying eyes. Hiccup went in through the front door, completely unprepared for what he would see. The main door opened up to the front room which had a sofa and a nice T.V with a fireplace underneath it. There was a dining room which had a long table, some hanging lights and a cupboard for plates, spoons, forks and knifes. The kitchen was state-of-the-art with silverware, a massive fridge and food preparations. There were stairs leading up to the second floor. There was only a corridor which led to what appeared to be his bedroom. It was as big as the one he had back in the White House. There was king sized bed in the corner, A big table for his laptop and schoolwork, a nightstand with a drawer and a light. There was a sliding door which revealed the wardrobe. It had enough space for all his clothes. There was another door which opened up to the bathroom, which had a bathtub/shower along with a toilet and sink. He put his backpack down on the bed.

Time for a new start Hiccup thought as he started to unpack...

(^皿^) Hehehe...

Sweat dripped from her brow as she landed punch after punch on the bag. Finally, she ended with a roundhouse kick as she took a seat on one of the seats in the training area, grabbing her drink and slowly sipping some water.

"Bad day?" A girl with raven black hair said sitting down next to her.

"Not too bad, I just gotta get ready for the competition the agency is holding next month, enough about me, how's your day going?" She asked back as packed her things, grabbing her towel from her gym bag and wiping some sweat off. As they got up to leave, a man around their age approached them.

"Hey Astrid, how are you doing?" He said as Astrid moved a bit of hair out of her face, "I was thinking maybe me and you go out someplace nice for dinner? As in a date?" He asked as Astrid looked at Heather with an annoyed look.

"Once again Eret, I am not going out with you, end of story." Astrid said nudging past Eret as she and Heather walked out of the gym and down the corridor to the shower room.

"Oh, and I forgot to mention," Heather said as Astrid swiped her ID card to allow her into the showering area, "Your father is looking for you." With that Heather left as Astrid undressed and walked under the shower, turning it on and allowing all her sweat to wash off of her. She allowed her mind to drift off into her memories. Memories of how she was pushed harder every day, almost to the brink of physical pain. The memories of her mother and father arguing about her future and memories of her passing the academy with flying colours. Another memory flashed before her as her father showed her around the building, telling her that this building was meant to protect the country by making boys into men.

Finally, she snapped back to reality, turned off the shower, wrapped herself in her towel and dried herself off, putting on her uniform, tying her hair and slipping on her shoes. She proceeded to make her way to the head office where her father was. She could hear two people inside the room talking about something as she knocked on the door.

"Come in!" Someone said on the inside as she opened the door to see her father sitting at his desk, his small reading glasses on his forehead. His desk had some paperwork, which she noticed had her name on it, some pictures in frames of her, a light and a half-drunk coffee. There was also another man standing at the side of the table, his big ginger beard and massive form making him easily identifiable.

"Mister President!" Astrid said saluting him, he smiled and gestured her not to salute him as they all sat down.

"Astrid, you know Stoick Haddock." He said looking at Stoick, "He's here because he has a very important task for you." Stoick now got up and pulled a file from his briefcase that was hidden next to the table.

"Astrid Hofferson, you are one of the best agents in this whole facility, and due to the current terror acts being committed against this country, I have a task for you." Astrid's heart was jumping. Am I about to be asked to bring in the terrorist leaders? Is it finally my time? Astrid thought as she was handed the file. She opened it and to her surprise it wasn't the face of Victor or Ryder Grimborn, it was of a boy her age, with forest green eyes and auburn hair.

"That person is my son, Hiccup, I've sent him to a small town in the outskirts called Berk, where he will be laying low. I have a security detail on him but there is a problem." Astrid couldn't believe it. I'm stuck with babysitting!? REALLY! She thought as Stoick continued.

"Hiccup will be having to attend school to keep up with the appearance of him being a normal person, and the security detail cannot follow him inside the building."

"So, I have to be there undercover, right?" Astrid said as Stoick nodded back.

"I have contacted the principal of the school; he knows the whole situation. I've made it so that you both will be in the same class, same schedules and all. Your mission is to protect my son." Stoick finished as Astrid sat there in silence. THERE IS A WAR HAPPENING AND I'M GOING TO BE STUCK ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF THIS WHOLE COUNTRY BABYSITTING THE PRESIDENT'S SON. IF THAT WASN'T ENOUGH, I NOW HAVE TO ATTEND A SCHOOL! Astrid could only sit there in silence.

"Astrid?" Her father asked breaking her thoughts as she got back into the present moment.

"I can understand, you are a warrior, you want to protect everyone. I know you probably don't want to do this, which is understandable, but I've seen what Victor is capable off. Something we haven't told the public is that Victor is the brains while Ryder is the brawn. Victor probably has something planned and I cannot risk my son being taken or killed by him." Astrid thought deeply about what she had just been told.

"I-I'll do it." She said getting up with the file, "Just tell me when, you know how to contact me." With that Astrid left the room.

This is gonna be interesting... She thoughts.

Footsteps echoed throughout as he made his way down the mineshaft into the office of his boss. He knocked thrice before entering. There he saw his two bosses, Victor and Ryker.

"Sit down." Victor said as he pulled a chair and sat down in front of their desk.

"In our mission to bring down the government, we've stumbled upon an opportunity, an inside source has told me that the president's son is being moved. Now it's not a typical safehouse, the boy is going to be under a false identity. What makes this whole thing even better is that the he will be going to school, where we can strike hard." Victor opened a draw and pulled out a file, handing it over to the agent.

"You will be going undercover at that school. Your mission will be to gather intel, keep far and observe everything about the son. Every day supply new intelligence to us. Then when the time is right, you will be informed on what to do. The operation is under the name 'Operation Cinder'." The agent stared at the file, turning a couple of pages. He looked back at his leader; he had understood the assignment.

"You are dismissed, in the file is everything you need to know." The agent got up, saluted his leaders and walked out.

Operation Cinder had begun and it would end with the destruction of the lives of all who stood in their way...
