Chapter 6

The trio and Sora went back to the lost and found area. Mickey started to dig while Goofy organized some of the coats and hoodies they found. In his Goofy way of course. He slipped, fell and sometimes he got wrapped up in clothes. Sora couldn't help but laugh and feel a sense of warmth from him.

Donald on the other hand was cursing under his beak.

"I have a bad feeling about this." he said.

"Relax. We'll be fine." said Mickey.

"What if Braig sees us?" asked Donald.

"Why are you scared of him?" asked Sora.

"Braig is a sharp shooter like… he's a sharp shooter." said Donald.

"Yeah. I had a nightmare where he was horrible." said Sora, remembering something awful from his dreams.

"I don't see any book of any kind. But we can always ask Belle." said Mickey.

"No way. She's been shaky after the Roger Rabbit book. Let's ask "them." said Goofy.

"Oh no." said Donald.

"What?" asked Sora.

"You don't want to know. Do we really need to ask them?" asked Donald.

"We got no choice." said Goofy.

"Plus, if anyone has seen something weird regarding a mysterious book, it's the Tweedles." said Mickey.

Sora's head began to hurt. The name sounded familiar and very unpleasant as well. The four of them headed towards the library and they waved at Belle who was organizing a shelf. She told them where the tweedles were, although she didn't seem to pleased.

"Those two are probably goofing off again. Oh dear. I mean no offense Goofy." said Belle.

"Oh, you can do no wrong." blushed Goofy.

"Sylvia was here the other day to check on something. She missed you." said Belle.

"Who?" asked Sora.

"My one true love." said Goofy dreamily.

"Aww shucks. That's swell." said Mickey.

"The tweedles are by the Manga section." said Belle.

"Manga? Why would they be there?" asked Donald.

"I don't know. They love to be by the classic literature section, but their behavior was a little odd, even for them." said Belle.

"Okay. We'll see what is going on." said Mickey.

The four of them went to the manga section and sure enough, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum were there, reading a manga.

"Interesting title you picked up friends. Spider-Man. Now that's interesting. A manga version of him." said Mickey.

"Shhhh! Can't you see are reading." said Tweedle Dee.

"Yes. We are currently reading about a big battle. One of epic proportions!" said Tweedle Dum.

"This is going to be a waste of time." said Donald. He impatiently walked up to them and pulled their book from their hands.

"I got toilets to scrub this afternoon and I don't have all day! We're looking for a book with student's pictures in it!" cried Donald.

"Easy there Donald. You know they Tweedles get agitated." said Goofy.

Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum both smiled sinisterly. "Perhaps we did. Perhaps we didn't. It all depends on your point of view." they said together in unison.

"Point of view?" asked Mickey.

"What you're looking for is something that has a point of no return. A book with forbidden magic." they both said.

"Baloney." said Donald.

"I think they are up to something." said Goofy, nodding as he listened intently.

"If you get to the point of no return, will you stomach what you'll find? Will you embrace what ever you discover? Will you fight or will you cower away into the shadows of your own cowardice." they both said in unison, with those creepy smiles. All this time, they were both looking straight at Sora.

He felt shivers down his spine and the small hair of his neck stand up. He was feeling goosebumps as the Tweedles stared at him, without even blinking.

It was Mickey who spoke. "You both know something…"

"Know what?" asked Tweedle Dee, breaking the spell.

"You know what we are looking for." said Mickey.

"Yes. A good book to read in front of a fireplace. We recommend Romeo and Juliet, The Chronicles of Narnia and the Dark Crystal!" said Tweedle Dum.

"You two are such idiots." said Donald shaking his head in disgust.

"Nice talking to you two. Keep on reading!" said Goofy giving them a thumbs up.

Mickey didn't say a word. He stared at the Tweedles intently. Sora observed how he watched them both, with a stare that was telling them that he was on to them. And as for the Tweedles, it was their turn to feel shivers. They both pretended not to notice and they decided to walk away.

Mickey turned to Sora and motioned him to leave the Library.

"I'm sorry." said Sora.

"No. They know something." said Mickey.

"Then, you believe what I'm saying?" asked Sora.

"This will sound unfair to you. I do and I don't. But I'm seeing a lot of evidence that suggests that there is something off about Oblivion High." said Mickey.

"I forgot to ask them about Namine." said Sora, turning back.

"Forget them. They would have spoken in riddles and not give a clear answer." said Donald.

"They would have said something like "she's in some bad place" or "she's lost in a never ending spiral of the psychotic mind" or something like that." said Goofy, chuckling. Donald and Mickey both turned to see him, surprised that he used very hard and long words in his sentences.

"Well, we better get back to work boys. We got some classrooms to clean up." said Mickey.

"Bah! Already!" cried Donald.

"But… now? Then when can you guys come and help me?" asked Sora sadly.

"Tomorrow! We'll help you more tomorrow. I'm sure we'll find something better." said Mickey.

"Yeah, but don't you think what the Tweedles said was odd?" asked Goofy.

"They are odd." said Donald.

"But what did they mean by battle? And point of no return?" asked Goofy.

"They were probably repeating what they read in their comic book!" said Donald.

"I'm so sorry I dragged you all into this." said Sora.

"No! We got some excitement today. Tomorrow, it will be another day with it's own mysteries." said Mickey.

"Yeah. Come back to the office and we'll try something else." said Goofy.

"I'll be happy to. I like being with you guys." said Sora.

As they turned to leave, Sora quickly spoke up. "Donald? Goofy? Mickey? Before you guys go, may I have a hug?"

"Say what?" asked Donald.

"A hug? Sure! Of course." said Goofy. He hugged Sora, but the boy didn't want to let go. There was something so familiar and safe about him. Mickey also hugged him, but Donald stood by, watching.

Sora let go, and tears began to roll down his cheeks. "Are you okay?" asked Goofy.

"I don't know. Am I crying? Oh. I guess I am." said Sora. He tried to compose himself, but the tears started to roll down and his heart began to beat very fast. And inside, he felt like he was hurting. He felt like something was squeezing him from the inside. Sora then began to weep like a little boy.

"Oh. Don't worry. You'll see us again tomorrow." said Mickey compassionately.

Goofy patted his back and squeezed one of his shoulders. Donald walked up to him and folded his feathered arms.

"I'm going to sound like a jerk, but you NEED to compose yourself. Sora, this is not normal." said Donald.

"He's a teenage boy! Of course this is normal! At this age. I know because my Maxie is like that." said Goofy.

"But there is NO reason for him to cry like this! No one died! No one lost a job or anything!" said Donald.

Just then, they heard a voice. A croaky old voice that sounded very menacing and unwelcome.

"Yes. No one has lost a job… yet."

Donald, Goofy and Mickey turned to see Lord Xehanort walk up to them.

"My lord." said Donald, bowing his head.

"Sorry boss, but you see, he just found out that a relative of his passed away. It was his uncle." said Goofy, lying.

"Yeah. He saw us in the hallway and he walked up to talk to us about it." said Mickey.

"We were the only ones around. He just heard the news." said Donald, also playing along. Sora tried to stop crying, but he was sobbing uncontrollably. Whatever it was that was making him cry was not letting him go. So much was happening inside him that it was such bad timing to have Xehanort there. A person that Sora knew was probably not the best person to talk to about mysterious books or missing people like Namine. In short, he didn't trust the old man one bit.

"Oh dear. What a tragedy. Then I suppose I can give him a couple days off. Fine then. You are Sora, yes? I know your brother Vanitas. I'm surprised he didn't hear of the news. I'll let him know about this dilemma." said Xehanort.

Mickey, Donald and Goofy took their leave. They bowed their heads respectfully and left while Sora sat down on a chair that Xehanort pulled.

"It's best you let it all out while sitting down. You can get rid of so many feelings that way." said Xehanort.

Sora's chest began to cool down and somehow, everything inside stopped. Something was calming him down both physically and emotionally. Sora knew this was not normal. Within tears, he silently observed Xehanort's movements. He simply stood there, with his hands around his back and looking at him with a smile. That smile felt eerily familiar. Both from his nightmares and his recent meeting with the tweedles.

"Amazing that you look so tame, not like your brother Vanitas, who's a savage beast when it comes to defending Oblivion." said Xehanort.

"You remind me of Ventus. Strange you remind me of him." said Xehanort.

"Ven?" asked Sora suddenly.

"Oh yes. Ven, as you all call him. Such a good student. Very brilliant and very academic." said Xehanort. He pulled up a chair and he sat down next to him.

"I have a question for you, my boy. Are you and Riku close?" he asked.

"My lord." said Axel, who rushed towards them in a hurry.

"There has been a fight in the Cafeteria. It was between Jim Hawkins and Bradely Uppercrost."

Xehanort pressed lips like a fish and shook his head. "Their timing couldn't be better." he sneered.

He got up, but not before he spoke to Sora before leaving. "You have two weeks to rest. And in the meantime, stay away from Riku. He's not a good influence. He's in trouble." said Xehanort.

"Trouble? What kind of trouble?!" asked Sora. But Xehanort turned and left with Axel by his side. They started to run in the hallway. Sora stood up and wiped his tears. "Riku." he said to himself.
