it was now morning in the great hall and everyone was eating breakfast at the Gryffindor table before they started their classes for the day
Naruto was enjoying some breakfast rolls as Kurama sat around his neck
"I'm still surprised Professor McGonagall let you keep him, especially after what you three pulled to get here" Hermione said as she looked at Naruto Harry and Ron
"I told them it was a bad Idea I swear" Naruto said
"You did not you asked if we could get drive through!" Harry said while him and Ron glared at him for selling them out

"you are so immature" Hermione said as she sighed at this

"Yea if you didn't have something to complain about you would probably go Barmy" Ron said with a nod
"Hey ron, is that your owl?" Naruto said looking up
everyone looked up and saw what looked like a brown owl flying towards them…..and crashing into a bowl of cereal
"Bloody birds a menace" Ron said as he took ten learning from the owl before he flew off
"Hey look Weasleys got himself a howler" Seamus said with a laugh as he spotted Ron's letter getting laughs from other students
"Go ahead Ron, I ignored one from my gran once, it was horrible." Neville said
"Yea plus it can't be as bad as my mom's howler" Naruto said getting flinches from other students remembering last year

"Ronald Weasley! How dare you steal that car! I am absolutely disguised! your father is now facing a inquiry at work and it's entirely your fault! if you so much as smile without permission I swear I will drag you home and have Kushina home school you!" the howler bellowed in miss Weasleys voice
"oi! Leave me out of this! I have my hands full with my own brat!" Kushina's voice called out from the howler
Then the howler turned to Ginny
"Oh and Ginny dear congratulations on making Gryffindor your father and I are so proud" Molly's voice said
"Oh please, your whole family has been in that club of morons going back to the 1800s!" Kushina's voice said

And with that Naruto closed the howler before it could let out Kushina's answer
"Yeah it's best to end that there" Naruto said with a sweatdrop as he tapped his wand to the howler making it turn to ash
"Bloody Hell" Ron muttered as he calmed himself after His mother's threat
"we have herbology so finish your breakfast and try to keep him from causing trouble" Hermione said as she gestured to Kurama who had jumped onto the table and took some sausage from a plate

all of the second year students were all in the greenhouse outside the castle with their herbology equipment
"Hello and welcome to Greenhouse 3 second years" Madame sprout said as she walked in
"Hello Professor Sprout" The second years said
"today we will be repotting mandrakes can anyone tell me what those are?" madame sprout asked
Hermione instantly had her hand up and neville hesitated to raise his hand before Naruto grabbed his hand and raised it
"Mr longbottom? this is a surprise please tell us" sprout said with a smile at the timid Gryffindor
"Uh-uh Mandrakes are h-herb like creatures that h-hide in the dirt and release a shrilling cry that can kill you when you tear them from the ground, though I believe if they are young the cries only knock you out." Neville said
this got surprised looks from the other students as they didn't think Neville would know this
"Very good Mr Longbottom 10 points to Gryffindor for a correct answer and 10 points for speaking up" Sprout said with a smile at him
"Way to go my man" Naruto said with a grin as he patted Neville's back making Neville nod and smile
Hermione huffed a little at this bit said nothing as she knew Naruto was trying to build Neville up
"Like Mr longbottom said these young mandrake will only knock you out so please use the sound canceling earmuffs provided and yes there is a pair for your kitsune friend Mr Uzumaki" sprout said with a knowing grin at Naruto
Kurama poked his head out of Naruto's robes at this getting laughs from the other students

"Ok everyone grip your mandrake and pull them all out with a form tug and then put them in the bigger pot and cover them with dirt" Sprout said as she instructed her students
everyone gripped their mandrake and pulled them out making them all cry out as they struggled
"that is one ugly baby" Naruto yelled as he put his mandrake in a bigger pot
"Yea but they cure petrification so they are worth growing" Hermione said as she put dirt in her pot
"And they are good for a sneak attack vs a attacking enemy" Naruto said with a grin as he started dumping dirt into his pot
Kurama shook at how ugly the mandrages were and decided to mess with one with its tail by wagging it over it before yelping as it bit down on its tail making him spit out some fire into the air
"That's what you get" Naruto said flatly as Kurama got loose before he hid in his robes again
"Didn't know kitsunes could breath fire" Ron said as they all buried their mandrake in there pots
"not a lot is known about them Ronald" Hermione said as they all finished
"Here's hoping that's the worst he can do" Harry said as he and the rest of the cakes took off their ear muffs no thay the mandrake were all repotted
"You said it, got it bad enough with my snake back home, all 3 heads of him" Naruto said with a grin
"3 headed snake, bloody hell is wrong with you" Ron asked
"Hey I'm looking to be a magical zoologist like Newt Scamander, of course I'm gonna have awesome animals" Naruto said with a excited grin
"You can focus on that later Mr Uzumaki most preferably when you take care of magical creatures next year, class dismissed" Sprout said with a chuckle
"Why won't this tear go by quicker?" Naruto whined as they all got ready to leave
Sprout laughed at this "your father said the same thing in his second year, couldn't wait to start that class ether" she said with a fond smile

all the second years were all in the defense against the dark arts class waiting for their teacher to show up
"Bloody hell why is he late?" Ron asked curiously
"Don't ask me." Naruto said when suddenly the door into the classroom opened and Lockhart entered

and the guys to groan and roll their eyes
"and you were complaining he was late" Harry whispered to Ron who chuckled sheepishly
"now it's my job to get you all ready to face the worst the magical world has to offer- Will someone please wake up Mr Uzumaki?" Lockhart was saying before he noticed Naruto was face down on his desk sleeping
this got laughs from some of the class while Hermione sighed at this before she poked him making him sit up

"well as a hopeful magical zoologist you will like today's class" Lockhart said as he tapped a cage that was covered with a cloth making it shake lightly
"Hm, slight chittering, excited movements, you have a cage of Cornish Pixies" Naruto surmised
"Ah but-" Lockhart was saying before he was cut off
"Freshly caught too can I go back to sleep now?" Naruto added as he made the class laugh
Lockhart grumbled as he removed the cloth showing the small big eyed blue pixies
"Now let's see what you make of them" Lockhart said as he opened the cage letting the pixies out
Naruto rolled his eye as he reached into his bag while the Pixies attacked the others
Some of the pixies were attacking Ron and Harry one taking his glasses and putting them on while laughing
when suddenly the pixie with Harry's glasses was hit with a spark of light making it fall to the ground stunned before a second year girl with long silver hair grabbed Harry's glasses
"Here" she said as she put Harry's glasses on his face
Harry adjusted his glasses for a moment before looking at the girl for a moment in surprise as while he had seen her a few times before this was the first time that they have interacted
"What's your deal Greengrass?" Ron asked with a distrustful glare
the girl scoffed at this"Iit's called helping Weasley since you were to busy avoiding your own pixies she said before she aimed her wand at another pixie and zapped it with a spell making it fall to the floor
"Aha" Naruto pulled out a white stick that got all the pixies' attention as they latched onto it like moths attracted to a flame
"If one does not want to be terrorized by wild pixies, one must carry a pixie stick" Naruto said as the pixies were all onto the stick biting it like dogs on a bone
"Pixie stick?" Ron repeated curiously
"Eh, it's what my grandpa calls it, Grandma made it and Pixies can't get enough of them especially Cornish Pixies" Naruto said with a grin
"Hmm, show off" Lockhart muttered
"Better than just letting them loose sir but I'm sure you just wanted to see how capable your class is right?" Hermione said as she used a immobulus spell to freeze the rest of the pixies
"Ahem, correct 10 points each to you miss Greengrass and …mr Uzumaki " Lockhart said
"Thank you Mr. Lockhart, and thank you Miss Greengrass for helping my friend" Naruto said
"it's Daphne I'm not your better" the now Introduced Daphne said as she zapped a stray pixie
"Humble, I like this Slytherin" Naruto said
"Not yet anyway" Daphne said with a smirk as she helped get the pixies put away
"Uh… a little help?" Neville said hanging from the rafters after some pixies had carried him up and hung him there
"On it Neville wingardium leviosa" Naruto said as he waved his wand at Neville and started to lower him down
"That was a stunning spell wasn't it?" Hermione asked Daphne as the two girls grabbed some stray pixies
Daphne nodded at this as she caged some pixies
"You know 4th year charms and can use it without an incantation?" Naruto asked curiously finding this impressive
"Ok class is dismissed" Lockhart said as he left through the backdoor as they finished rounding up the pixies
"Glad to help you blonde haired hack" Naruto grumbled as he grabbed his bag

after Harry calmed down he noticed Daphne walking off and watched her for a little bit

Naruto and Harry and the rest of the gryffindor quidditch team were all in their uniforms as they made their way through the courtyard to go to practice
"Ok this year we're gonna take the cup were gonna practice until we can do this in our sleep" Angelina said as they walked

"I Professor severus Snape give the slytherin team permission to practice today due to the fact they need to train there new seeker" Angelina read before she looked up at the slytherin team with a annoyed look
"Who's your seeker?" Naruto asked as the team parted to show Malfoy

"That's not the only thing new this year potter." Malfoy said gesturing to his and the teams brooms
"T-those are nimbus 2001s" Ron said as he looked at the slytherin teams brooms

"Of course" Naruto said with a scoff as the other Gryffindors scoffed at this obvious bribe to get his son on the team
"At least nobody on the Gryffindor team bought their way in they got in on pure talent Hermione said firmly

Naruto glared at the new Slytherin seeker and marched up to Draco, smashed his fist hard into his cheek, knocking him to the ground causing his broom to fall to the ground.
Naruto grabbed him by the scruff of his collar and started to lash out, smashing his fist into Draco's face again and again, blood splattering out from the hard impacts to his face.
"Bloody hell!" Ron yelled out in shock seeing this as Naruto continued to slug Malfoy
"woah" a first year boy said as he took a picture with his camera this was Colin crevey
Everyone looked on with shock some of the Slytherins were about to rush to help their teammate when they felt a rush of fear run over all of them causing some to fall on their asses shaking with terror
Naruto reared back his bloodied fist ready to slug Malfoy again when a hand caught his wrist.
"What do you think you are doing Mr Uzumaki?!" McGonagall yelled as she held up her wand holding Narutos arm in place
"Teaching a lesson" Naruto growled as he dropped a beaten malfoy to the ground who was groaning as he held his bloody face
"What happened here, explain now" McGonagall said with a firm glare at the gathered students
"He called Hermione a mudblood" Naruto said glaring at Malfoy
McGonagall paused at this before she glared at Naruto "That is no excuse to beat him half to death Mr Uzumaki"
"Better than letting his smug face think he can say it and not get in trouble because of his dad" Naruto said with a scowl
"Enough Mr Uzumaki you will have detention for a month for this and I will be writing your parents over this Mr flint please help me get Mr malfoy to the hospital wing" McGonagall said firmly to Naruto before she turned to Flint who instantly got up to help his teammate

Naruto was sitting at the shore of the Black lake looking at the water as he tried to calm down
Naruto had Kurama in his lap who was sleeping as Naruto pet him
suddenly Kurama's ears twitched and he woke up and looked to the left of Naruto
Naruto looked and saw Harry, Ron, and Hermione approaching him
"Hey guys." Naruto said
"Hey slugger" Harry said with a nervous grin as they approached him
"Sorry, I-I just hate that word, dirty blood, why today there's not a wizard who's not half or less." Naruto said as he got up and Kurama jumped onto his head
"No need to explain to me mate it was Bloody brilliant pun intended" Ron said with a smile
"No it wasn't Ron he gave Malfoy a orbital fracture he's lucky he wasn't expelled" Hermione said with a disapproving look
"Better than just sitting there and taking it" Naruto said
"It's just a word Naruto I'm not gonna let it bother me so it shouldn't bother you" Hermione said as she approached him
"Yea I know I know" Naruto said with a sigh before he paused as Hermione hugged him

it was now October and the group were all in the great hall for breakfast which Naruto was eating with gusto seeing that there was ramen
"How did you get the kitchens to make you ramen?" Harry asked with a chuckle
"I asked and said that it was my birthday last week" Naruto said after he gulped and reached for another bowl
"Oh jeez we missed your birthday?" Hermione asked with a frown recalling that his birthday was on the 10th
"it's fine my parents didn't send a gift ether" Naruto said with a shrug
"Yea probably cause of what happened with Malfoy" Ron said pointing at the slytherin table where malfoy was sitting still wearing a eyepatch after Narutos beating
"I doubt it, if anything his mom seems like the type to congratulate him if you ask me" Harry said
"I heard that draco's father actually met with mr Minato over this" Hermione said with a frown
"Oh he tried but my mom showed up instead and showed him her animagus form making him apparate away" Naruto said with a snicker

which he dropped in front of Naruto before he landed on Naruto's head and spat a letter at him
"Thanks Kevin" Naruto said before the toucan bonked him on the head twice and went to Hermione as she pushed a bowl of fruit to her making her squawk in happiness and bonk her on the head twice before she stuck her head in the bowl
"Who sends these as gifts" Ron asked confused
Naruto looked at the letter and opened it and after a few moments of reading he smiled brightly "Looks like my parents went all out this year for my birthday" he said as he passed the note to Hermione
"What are they?" Harry asked curiously as Naruto grabbed the sack which he put on his shoulder
"It's a nab sack it's what magical zoologists use to capture magical creatures" Naruto said with a smile as he showed off the bag
this got curious looks from everyone as they looked at Naruto
"And the suitcase is based off the very case Newt Scamander used to carry his magical creatures around." Naruto said as he pulled the suitcase close to inspect it
"So it's bigger on the inside?" Harry asked as Naruto had explained this to him before
"it has a whole building inside with all kinds of habitats for all my future friends" Naruto said with a excited smile
"How'd they make it?" Ron asked curiously
"Simple, they used the same magic they used on the house to make it like it with all the extra rooms it has" Naruto said as he opened the suitcase
but before he could look inside what looked like a three headed snake poked its head out of the suitcase
"Bloody hell!" Ron yelled as he and other students jumped back in surprise
"awww they sent you with my gift Naga? who's a good girl?" Naruto asked with a smile as the snake let Naruto pet him
"Wow, a Runespoor, I've read about these, each head has it's own personality and they can grow quite big" Hermione said
"And they all love me don't you Naga?" Naruto asked as he pet the left head

Ron went to pet the center head but yelped as it snapped at him
"Yeah watch that head that's the moody one" Naruto said
noted Ron said as he checked his hand for scratches

"I hope this doesn't mean your gonna be reckless and go into the forbidden forest to look for animals" Hermione said with a frown

it was Halloween and Naruto and Harry were in professor Lockhart's office helping him go over all his fan mail while everyone else were at the Halloween feast
"Sorry boys I wouldn't want you to miss the feast but you all did fly that car here and you still have detentions for what you did to Mr malfoy" Lockhart said to Harry and Naruto as he placed more letter on their desk
"We know" Harry and Naruto said flatly as they answered the letters
"Now now boys real men make up for their mistakes"
"We know, it's why we're here" Naruto said as he looked at his letter and scowled "This is the 100th one from some fangirl" he grumbled to Harry
"I hope I never get fangirl letters" Harry grumbled back
"Oh please if Daphne sent you one you would frame it" Naruto whispered with a snicker at Harry

in the corridor the two boys walked down the corridor Harry noticed Naruto had a mischievous smile on his face. "Ok what did you do?" he asked

suddenly they heard a crowd approaching and soon a crowd of students where there coming in from the feast

"What's going on here? Make way, make way" Filch said as he got through the crowd

"Argus, Argus wha-" Dumbledore was saying approaching with the other teachers before he saw the message on the wall "The students will return to their dormitories immediately, all except, you four" he said looking at Harry, Naruto, Hermione and Ron
"Sir it wasn't us" Naruto said quickly as he looked at the message and Ms Norris
"nonsense" filch said with a growl as he held his bitten hand

Ron's eyes widened in confusion hearing Snape defending them
"However I don't recall seeing you two at dinner" Snape said with an accusing tone
"That would be my doing, Naruto and Harry were helping me answer my fan mail" Lockhart said as he nodded at the two boys

"My cat has been murdered-" filtch was yelling before he was cut off
"Petrified, she's petrified not dead" Naruto interrupted
"Indeed I Mr Uzumaki I see your taking your grandmother's lessons seriously 10 points to Gryffindor Dumbledore said with a nod at Naruto
"Thank you, however… what creature could do this.. A lot of creatures petrify their victims so this is going to take a while to narrow down"
"You say creature like you know an animal has done this" Snape said with a glare
"Well yes, I know petrification spells and no wizard or witch can duplicate this" Naruto said
"That doesn't help my cat you brat!"
"Calm yourself Argus we can cure her I believe madame Sprout has some mandrakes growing in her greenhouse currently" Dumbledore said getting a nod herbology professor
"Of course they have a bit of growing to do, but the Mandrake potion can save her Mr. Filch" Sprout said to the caretaker who grumbled at this
""Ok you lot, back to your dormitories" McGonagall said firmly to Naruto Harry Ron and Hermione
the four students nodded at this as they quickly walked off towards their dorms
