Chapter 10
Xehanort was alone in his bedroom. He was sitting in front of a mirror and he drew the faustian star on his feet, written in blood. Xehanort then cut his hand and allowed blood to drip on the drawing of said star. It was the only way to speak to "him."
"Slave in the Magic Mirror, come from the farthest space. Through wind and darkness I summon thee! Speak! Let me see thy face!" he declared.
The mirror burst into flames and a face appeared. A wicked green face.
"What would thou know my King?" asked the mirror.
"Magic Mirror on the wall; tell me, where is Terra?" asked Xehanort.
"Terra lives, strongest man in the land! Beyond the seven jewel hills, beyond the seven falls, in the cottage of the seven dwarves dwells he!" said the mirror.
"He lives. And he's in the custody of the seven men." said Xehanort, grinning.
"Terra's strength has not returned. The darkness in his heart has him prisoner in bed." said the Mirror.
"Good. Good! Then there is nothing to worry about for now. I've been paranoid for no reason. Then what of Riku. Was it he who put the Wayfinder in the locker room?" asked Xehanort.
"Thy wayfinder thou have was put there by the one thou worships." said the Magic Mirror.
Xehanort felt chills up his spine. "What?" he asked again.
"Thou heard me." said the Mirror.
Xehanort placed his hands together. "It's too soon. He told me that I have full control." said Xehanort.
"Thou still rule Oblivion and soon the world. However, his patience grows thin with each passing day. Him and his bride." said the Magic Mirror.
"No! They cannot be here! Not yet!" declared Xehanort. He stormed out of the room and summoned his men.
Braig and Axel walked in. Xehanort was sitting down on his chair, sweating and coughing with nerves.
"You two will keep an eye out not only on Riku, but I have reason to believe we have more intruders in Oblivion. Braig… that black feather you found and destroyed… when was that?" asked Xehanort.
"Not too long ago…" replied Braig.
"WHEN?! TELL ME BASTARD!" cried Xehanort suddenly, making Axel and Braig jump.
"Months ago! We're talking five to six months ago! My memory is hazy dude!" cried Braig.
Xehanort cursed and paced around the room. "He's been watching me, making sure I don't falter. You two are the only ones who know who I'm speaking about. If you find him, one way or another, please, tell him to wait for me. Better yet, send him to me." said Xehanort.
"A-are you sure it's wise?" asked Axel.
"Bah! Wise! Of course! That man and I go way back. He's the key to this land's future. And I know how desperately he wishes for this world to be his vessel. It's not yet time for that yet." said Xehanort.
Braig and Axel exchanged looks and Xehanort exhaled loudly. "Go back to your dorms and rest. Tomorrow will be a new day." he said.
They did as they were told and headed back to their rooms while Xehanort sat down. He pulled out the cursed wayfinder from his desk and sneered.
"You fools are the least of my problems now. There are forces that none of you will ever comprehend." he said softly.
