Five came back into the cafe after Diego had left and he headed over to the counter, pushed open the little door in-between the counter and then headed behind the counter. He leaned his arms on it and sighed, looking up at the ceiling. "Be back before rush hour, huh? On this slow day?" Five said when Vanya came back out of the storage room. "Hey, we've just opened. Cut me some slack." Vanya winked and then placed the clipboard on a hook on the wall. "Okay, so we'll need to order more coffee beans, and more mini marshmallows." Vanya said, getting behind the counter as well.
"Strange really, because I could have sworn we restocked up on those not too long ago?" Vanya added, putting her finger to her chin. Five cleared his throat as if to change the subject. "Right, well Diego picked up the pup so we don't have to worry about him anymore."
Vanya raised a brow, then nodded at the subject change in response. "Okay, that's good."
The bell rang near the door and both Hargreaves' looked up at the same time. "Good morning, welcome to Umbrella Cafe!" Vanya waved, while Five just turned around and went to work on rearranging the stuff on the shelf behind the counter on the wall.
One was a male dressed in blue and yellows, and the other was a female dressed in pinks and blacks. "Good morning." The female replied, then sat down at the bar-stool, next to her friend. "Morning." The male held his hand up in a waving-manner and put it back down.
"What can I get for you? Or would you care for some suggestions?" Vanya smiled, grabbing a notepad and ink pen from the counter drawers. "Just a small espresso for me." The female pulled out her phone from her pocket and rested her wrists on the counter to begin looking at the phone. "Two donuts and a regular coffee, two sugars, one cream." The male replied. Vanya wrote those down, "Okay I'll be right out with them." Vanya nodded and looked at Five. "Five, will you get the donuts while I work on the drink orders?" She said before disappearing into the kitchen. Five put away a canister of pumpkin spice and then went to the display case and opened it, using a napkin to grab two donuts out of the case, then he headed over to a shelf, grabbed a decent-sized plate and set the two donuts on there.
He would wait for Vanya to come back with the drinks, and then he handed her the plate. Vanya headed over to the counter and set the plate and two drinks down. "Here you go, amount owed is on the receipt." Vanya placed the freshly-printed receipt on the side and then nodded. The female reached down, opened her bag, pulled out a wallet and popped it open, then pulled out the due amount, closed the wallet and put it back in her bag.
Vanya counted it and then put it in the cash register.
"Enjoy." She then headed off to Five. "Psst, hey you're doing a great job rearranging!"
Five looked at her. "...Thanks." He put away a box of straws.
...He was still thinking about that strange dream he had in the car.
