Alright we are here at the final test that Squad 9 has to get passed to be true ninja under the eye of their Jonin, Aychitiroray or Ayu. And we also got a bit of a new road for one of Super's known characters Obni or you might know him as Obuni in Japanese is here as a Alien Student of the Shinobi Way along with our Majin Quantum. What will we do see in this survival exercise?

At the day after being announced for Squads Naruto was already down with his Squad while Zorn slowly gotten up more then excited to start being a real ninja with his team. Doesn't excuse him for being majorly tired right now arriving at the Training Spot with a drowsy look along with Quantum who doesn't look tired at best, and Obni who's eyes are closed arriving as from their meeting in a puff of smoke was Ayu who said to them, "5:00 A.M. sharp like I instructed. Okay so far you three are building your pace well."
"We're you waiting for us this whole time?" Quantum couldn't help but ask seeing that unlike Zorn, Ayu does not look exhausted at all.
"Yes. Yes I am..." Ayu got that question out of the way as Obni opened his eyes before clearing her throat, "Anyway now's the time for the Survival Exam to get underway if you all are prepared that is."
"So what do we have to do?" Zorn asked rubbing his left eye to get the sleep out excited with a smile but still has a drowsy look, "Throw Kunai to targets? Use stealth to infiltrate a highly guarded building?"
"Good guesses Zorn but your wrong on both ends." Ayu said with a grinning smile which they can't see due to her mask before taking out two bells showing them to the three, "You see these bells? The rules for this is simple: All you have to do is grab the bells by 9:00 A.M., and your results will be graded upon completing this task."
"Hey wait a minute." Quantum notices something odd bout the bells which he had to point out, "Those are two bells. But their's only three of us what's gonna happen to the third one?"
"Oh the one who doesn't have a bell will be tied to those stakes." Ayu said pointing to where they see three wooden stakes as tall as their bodes but what she said next is what got them, "Where they watch the ones who claim the bells eat in front of them, and sent back to the Academy."
"Hm... I see what you said back their means." Obni said turning over back to her, "You said not to have breakfast was a ruse so we will be driven by hunger which will test how much we can battle in situations such as this."
"Weeeellll... That, and if you do fight when full like this you will throw up." Ayu admitted to him which made Quantum, and Zorn blink in shock before she said, "And the way to get the bells is by getting them from me."
"...That's it?" Quantum asked blinking not seeing the main issue involving that, "Just grab them from you? No, diving into water, no, no going through traps?"
"Oh trust me I am different compared to what your used too." Ayu grinned with a wink to him, "But take three things in particular about this:"
As she said this she lifts three fingers to them listing off, "The first, in the Ninja World you gotta use deception to get by. 2, Ninja not following orders are scum, and cannot be forgiven, and 3, Come get the bells like your trying to kill me."
She stepped back winking to them, "In the Shinobi Way no one is friend or foe, their all your killer or your victims so treat one another as one as enemies when not teamed up that is. Alright with that said..."
She pressed a button on a timer calling, "Begin!"
She instantly vanished in a puff of smoke as the three looked at each other wondering how to get the bells like this. If their all gonna get sent back to the Academy if they fail they aren't sure what to do. They could all fight, and the other two will get the bells sacrificing the Teammate who had lost but that seems like a stupid choice to make. Another way is by working independently, and grab the bells for themselves wishing each other luck but they feel like that is also a bad choice. So all things considered they got one option to look on:
Teamwork.
Meanwhile Ayu is at a stakeout watching dawn brewing in as she sighed letting out slight tears, 'Daddy...'
Flashback:
A young Ayu without her mask was watching in horror as a man stabbed himself at the stomach collapsing dead just as a young Kakashi who had both eyes gasped in horror seeing this arrived walking over in shock, "D-Dad... Dad why did you... Did the village's hatred care that much for you?"
"No... Daddy..." Ayu teared up as her tail wiggled loosely before grunting clenching her hands tight, "Why? He saved his friends, and this is how the village repaid him?"
Kakashi was looking at his sister in sadness knowing how distraught she is for their father sighing to himself wishing he could've done something. If he knew about how bad his father take the Village's Hatred of him even his own comrades is like this he would've done something about it. Ayu didn't deserve seeing him die like that in front of her.
...And it surprises him by what it triggered.
Feeling a high boost of Chakra, Kakashi looked in shock seeing Ayu was shaking clenching her hands tight glaring at her father's corpse before screaming, "HE DIDN'T DESERVE THHHHHIIIIIISSSSSS!"
An explosion of energy happened where Kakashi braced himself looking in shock seeing Ayu is now in a golden aura with her hair standing with gold at the end, and teal eyes while her tail is also gold. It didn't stayed like that for too long cause she passed out collapsing on the floor forming back to normal as Kakashi stared on in shock, and even a little afraid seeing his sister like that. For that night he stayed close to her, and buried his father.
Flashback End:
Ayu of course had no memory of her surge of Chakra saying she blacked out after snapping which Kakashi explained that her rage was the result of releasing her feelings upon their father's death of how distraught she was. It was by that she promises to make the village have a difference no longer involved in hatred, and care for each other as they should be hoping to one day avenge her father's death.
Her being a Jonin is one part of that, and teaching a Squad of what she can do is another now hoping that Zorn, Quantum, and Obni will help her change the Village.
"Hey Ayu-Sensei!"
Hearing that she turned over seeing Zorn himself was standing there with a serious look as she raised an eyebrow where he called to her, "Alright you, and me right now!"
"Are you serious?" Ayu chuckled a little, "Challenging me straight on without caring for being undetected... But I'll take on your challenge."
Hearing that Zorn got in his stance as Ayu had her arms crossed staring on before Zorn charged trying to attack with a kick but Ayu turned her body where her knees are bending just a little stepping ahead attacking Zorn with a punch as she grinned only to gasp when Zorn vanished in a puff of smoke, "A Shadow Clone?"
"NOW!"
Turning quickly she sees Quantum charged calling, "SOLAR FLARE!"
A bright light assured at that as Ayu stared in shock crying out as she was blinded, "Ah! My eyes, I can't see!"
"Hey, it worked!" Quantum cried with a smile seeing the success of that before calling, "Obni your turn now!"
Obni burst from the ground in front of Ayu landing an uppercut at her as he stared with a slight grin only to be shocked when Ayu vanished in a puff of smoke only for him to be pinned down by Ayu who grinned, "Ha, not bad you three. You made a divisionary attack by going on in sight, and then blind me in order to ambush me to take the bells. However you did leave out a crucial fact in your plan. In your ability to sense Chakra, Shadow Clones share an equal or less amount then their summoner so it's easy to mistake which one's the real deal if you suppress your energy as I just left that clone as bait. 'If the bait is obvious, don't take it'."
Zorn got out from his spot blinking, "You were prepared for that?"
"I wasn't a Jonin for only relying on brute force." Ayu said releasing Obni before jumping back standing one leg up on a statue crossing her eyes with a wink, "You three want to try that again?"
"Okay that didn't work... Now what?" Zorn asked blinking to his team seeing that plan failed.
It was Zorn that had came up with that idea which unlike Naruto who's reckless, and charges in, he uses strategy in fights, and thoughts out all situations which in hindsight didn't seem like it would work for Obni, and Quantum's case but they see it was quite effective until Ayu revealed she also uses the Shadow Clone Jutsu to fool them with bait but it was still a good try on their part.
Quantum got an idea whispering it to his team before Quantum flew out where Obni, and Zorn jumped around as to prevent Ayu from escaping as she looked around wondering what their up too looking around. Then Zorn, and Obni charged with cries trying to land a punch but Ayu jumped up making the two punch each other only for blue blobs from their wrists to grab Ayu's legs pulling her down as they grinned at her landing kicks at her chin while Quantum burst out reaching for the bells only for Ayu to vanish which surprised them as Ayu appeared at the top grinning.
"Again not a bad try. You prevent me from getting away, and use Quantum's body to catch me off-guard to grab the bells. But as you can see that also didn't work since again due to sensing Chakra, you can feel who's Chakra your sensing so I was able to sense some of a Majin's Chakra from you both, and it gave me some advance on what you were up two. Probably would've work if Quantum had training to suppress his power on the parts he given you both." Ayu said winking with a grin at them.
"She's really good." Quantum admitted in awe hearing that.
Zorn grunted with a pout, "Aw man, she's way experienced."
"You three giving up?" Ayu asked walking down the statue until she's upside down with a grin winking at them, "Cause it sure sounds like that."
"No way! I'm no quitter, and I ain't gonna give up!" Zorn argued up to her jumping up which shocks both his teammates attacking Ayu who got off the statue before she called, "Tyrant Lancer!"
The attack struck Zorn pushing him back crying out landing hard on the ground as she landed crossing her arms, "Anything else?"
They grunted before Obni blinks getting an idea before whispering it to Quantum who looked amazed before nodding as Quantum charged in to fight as Ayu looked blocking all of Quantum's attacks before Obni charged in a few seconds later as Ayu grinned, "This again?"
She was caught off guard by Obni turning to five clones as Ayu widen her eyes, 'What? I can't sense his Chakra...!'
Trying to attack her kick passed through making her blink before Obni turned attacking which succeed in hitting Ayu at her gut which made her grunt before he turned to the clones to avoid before attacking her again, and again turning back every few seconds before Ayu calling, "I got ya, HAAAA!"
She fired a energy attack hitting Obni who cried out as she grinned, "Impressive that little trick is. Gave me a little work out..."
Obni raise but turned with a grin showing he was holding Zorn who has the two bells as she widen her eyes looking to see the bells were gone as Obni said to her, "You require an explanation. Here's what happened. Quantum attacks you to focus your attention on me, and him while I use my technique known as Feints of Eternal Energy. While under this my opponent cannot sense my Chakra but I cannot keep it up for more then 5 seconds. It wasn't mastered, I am still struggling but I used as little as I can learned to make an advantage as Zorn was formed as my Ninja Headband while you were distracted, and when you attacked me he grabbed the bells while you weren't looking. By using my Feint technique since Zorn was on me you were unable to sense him too so we got the bells."
"Yeah, it was a bit risky but it all worked out!" Zorn grinned grabbing the bells in his hand.
Ayu looked on before chuckling before starting to laugh, "Well, well you three are quite different! However you forgot a crucial fact..."
They blinked at that as Ayu pointed out, "Their are only two bells, and both Zorn, and Obni have them... Which means Quantum doesn't have one."
The two widen their eyes turning to Quantum who stared at them as Ayu stated, "Since he doesn't at Lunch he won't eat with you two, and he will go back to the Academy."
"But... But he helped us!" Zorn protested at this.
Ayu shot that down stating, "And it cost him his place as a Ninja. Meet at the stakes."
She vanished as they looked at each other with Zorn looking down, "Hey, Quantum... Sorry, I mean I..."
"Don't say anything pal." Quantum said with a tearful smile, "I may be returning to the Academy but I will not forget who helped me get this far ahead..."
Obni watched on but is also saddened by how it looks sighing. That was when he notices some shining, and walked over picking it up seeing it is a small orb. This orb is a Yellow Green ball that has 6 White Stars on it looking over it as Obni blinks, 'Where have I seen something like this before...?'
"Obni, come on! Your gonna starve!"
Hearing Zorn's call made Obni blink before turning back looking back at the Orb before pocketing it running over to catch up.
Quantum was tied to a stake as Zorn, and Obni hold boxed lunches as Ayu crossed her arms stating, "You both grabbed the bells in time but unfortunately since Quantum hadn't he gets no food... But don't feel too bad you three did get what the exercise was about."
"Wait what...?" Zorn asked blinking.
"What it's about?" Obni asked hearing that.
Ayu nodded with a wink, "Yes, Teamwork. You three did a tremendous amount of Teamwork to get the bells, and worked in separate plans to quickly adapt to what your opponent can do. Zorn you made a divisionary attack by using a Shadow Clone to allow your comrades to ambush your opponents. Quantum, you had used your body for your teammates to trap your enemies. And Obni your ability to use Feints to mask your Chakra to null the senses can leave your opponent unable to predict your movements. You three understand the value of teamwork fair, and square despite you three not knowing your skills or strategies but you adapt, and forged it into something new. However... You three did fail to know the consequences what happens sometimes. If not on-guard there'll be a time where you will be met with a impossible to make choice. Someone takes a hostage, and someone will die failing or jeopardizing the mission. Some enemies will use your friendship to your advantage prompting you to make a choice you can't think to make."
That made the three look at each other letting that thought sink in. Hearing Ayu saying that makes sense since they didn't think this far ahead, and knowing that they didn't protect each other against Ayu, or leave themselves open allowing an enemy to use one of their comrades against the team, and felt bad for each other putting their friends in danger. Ayu then mentioned, "Now, before we decide on more eat up to refuel your strength. But don't lend Quantum any or you'll fail on the spot."
"Huh? Wait he helped us as much as we helped each other he deserves to be fed as well!" Zorn protested hearing that standing up.
Ayu looked over pointing out, "That may be true but remember he didn't had a bell for himself so he doesn't get-"
"Well I don't care if I fail or not." Obni said to her standing up as well as Ayu turned to him interested, "Like you said, if we aren't at guard we can get used as a bargaining chip for bandits or worse. But if we all think as one we can do anything."
"Yeah, and besides if Quantum doesn't it then it'll risk him being off-guard more!" Zorn agreed at this, "We're all in this together!"
"Yeah like how comrades should be!" Quantum called joining in with the two.
"If that's what you say..." Ayu narrowed her eyes as they stared before she grinned winking, "You pass."
"Huh?" the three blinked not sure if they heard correctly.
"You. Pass." Ayu said again emphasizing on 'pass'.
"But... How did we pass? We were breaking your rules." Quantum said confused on that, "You said before that Ninja not following orders can't be forgiven."
"Yes, I did say that... However, those who don't care for their comrades are worse then scum." Ayu explained to them, "'A Ninja must see through deception'. All other squads I managed fell into every trap I laid, and failed. But you three are different. You think for others that's what this whole exercise is all about."
Zorn smiled hearing that before pulling out a kunai slicing the rope off of Quantum as Ayu winked, "The exercise is over, and all three of you passed! Squad Nine will now begin their first mission tomorrow morning!"
Obni grinned crossing his arms with closed eyes while Quantum smiled reading a raised fist in a celebratory manner while Zorn cheered jumping in the air, "Alright, alright I'm a Ninja now! A real Ninja!"
"Let's head home now." Ayu smiled with a wink as they walked off to celebrate.
Meanwhile...
'Ayu... I knew your squad had what it takes to pass.' a man that has on the Jonin Jacket with black bowled hair grinned seeing on before he sighed, 'If only Sakumo can see you now. His little girl gone so far for him. At least now you, and Kakashi will continue making him proud.'
With that thought he walked off.
And that is all of the survival exercise. They all passed, and now are preparing for their real missions which starts pretty mild at first under they later come to contact for a land in water. Again since this is a different squad no Zabuza, or Haku so sorry but we will get some Hidden Mist Ninja next chapter starting with them whatever this mission takes them.
