Chapter 29

Xehanort and the other evil people were still in Oblivion. They were hiding under the school. Much deeper underground than ever. It was an unpleasant place that was hot, since it was close to the heart of the world. For Hades, this place was closer to his underworld. Almost. The villains, Scar, The Horned King, Maleficent, Frollo, Hades, Sephiroth and Xehanort were standing before a keyhole. And it was oozing with darkness. A darkness Chernabog was summoning with his powers. He was flying on top of it, with his dancing demons surrounding it.

"This is the key to destruction. The key to death everlasting." said Chernabog in perfect English.

"Yes. Death Everlasting." said Frollo, almost hypnotic.

Hades rubbed both his hands. "So… when does the fun begin? I'm BORED! This fan fiction is dragging on and on and on, and I'm tired of this!" said Hades.

"Patience my dear. Patience." said Maleficent.

"Why are you here anyway? You aren't one of us. You simply weaseled your way in." said Hades to Maleficent.

"I simply wanted to be part of the fun. Or rather, take over the fun. You see, only I get to rule the world." said Maleficent.

"You? Oh please! You are an overrated woman! You are like the most popular figure in almost any form of media alive! You appear in books, video games and you even have your own movie in some other dimension!" cried Hades.

"Enough with the fourth wall jokes." said Scar rolling his eyes.

The dancing demons even stopped and cringed at Hades and Maleficent's arguing.

Sephiroth however was enjoying this. "When you two are finished, shall we begin? Like Hades, I too am tired. Let us hear some screams." said Sephiroth.

"Yes. We shall. After 29 or so chapters, yes." said the Horned King.

"Fourth Wall jokes you fools. Don't spoil the "disney" magic." said Scar in a mocking voice.

"Keep this up, and we will be seen as a joke." said Frollo.

Chernabog then scowled and raised his muscular arms into the air, posing like some sort of body builder from a Planet Fitness gym. "The Heartless cometh! The world will know DEATH EVERLASTING!" he cried.

And then, the Heartless appeared from the ground. Death Everlasting. Darkness.

Chernabog smiled as his own Heartless grew in massive size. "Go forth and bring me hearts." he declared.

"Wait! Stop! Not yet! We need a sacrificial lamb first!" cried Xehanort.

"Sacrificial lamb?" asked Scar.

"You mean one of the Oblivion Students? Namine was the perfect candidate. And she's gone!" sneered Frollo.

"There is another. And I happen to know where he is." said Xehanort.

"He?" asked The Horned King.

"The son of the first Princess and the Hunter of the wild. Prince Soren." said Xehanort.

"Soren? Yes… I think I know a way to get to him." said Scar.

"How?" asked The Horned King.

"The prince has a talent that will be his undoing. He speaks to animals who do not speak English. I wonder what would happen should a creature of our darkness would speak with him." said Scar. He then looked at Maleficent.

"You happen to know an animal that Soren may speak to…" he said.

Maleficent smiled. "I do know such an animal. I happen to have him as a pet." she said.

"Ooo, I like where this is going!" cried Hades.

"Well we better hurry! Chernabog is up there, waiting for us to finish this. And when Soren dies…. All hope dies as well." said the Horned King.

"We shall be champions!" cried Xehanort.

Chernabog folded his arms and rolled his yellow eyes.

"The wait better be worth it." he snarled.

Prince Soren was in the gardens of his castle, feeding a few birds. He then heard a squawk. He got up and searched for the source. It sounded like a bird was hurt. He quickly found a raven, close to some bushes with a seemingly broken wing. The raven looked at Soren with sad looking eyes. Yet there was a hint of malice in it's beak.

Soren was not an idiot. He knew this was a trap the moment he saw the raven. He saw it in HIS dreams. He pulled out his sword and defended himself from behind. Scar was just a few centimeters from him. The sword was on his jaw, and Soren kicked Scar on the chest.

Scar roared, but Soren was not afraid.

"Prince Soren? What is goin….. JUMPING JELLYFISH!" cried Sebastian the Crab, checking in on Soren.

"Run and warn my parents!" cried Soren.

Sebastian turned and ran. Soren swung his sword at Scar, but he dodged the attack. Scar jumped and tried to pounce on Soren. The prince rolled to the ground just in time Scar landed. Just then, another large cat appeared. He ran against Scar and bit him on the side. Scar scratched the other big cat away from him.

The other big cat had a history of violence in the past. He too was malicious and spiteful in his youth. However, unlike Scar, he did not wish to rule the jungle where he came from. Instead, he had a hatred for man and their ambitions. This was Shere Khan, a guardian of the house of Snow White and Denahi.

"Sir Shere Khan! Stay back! He'll hurt you!" cried Soren.

Shere Khan didn't say a word. He kept his gaze at Scar. Unlike Scar, Shere Khan didn't growl or sneer. Instead, he kept a calm gaze at him, but his eyes were not looking anywhere else but his target.

He finally said, without looking away. "You should go and hide." he said firmly.

Soren was about to protest when Balto appeared. "You heard him. Let's go." said Balto.

"But…" Soren was saying.

"You are in danger here. Come." said Balto, pulling Soren's wrist. Soren nodded and followed Balto out of the garden.

Scar laughed. "Look at the mighty man hunter. You once claimed to hate man, now you serve them!"

"I have nothing to say to a lanky creature such as yourself. It's no wonder you lost to Mufasa." said Shere Khan.

Those words alone were enough to make Scar wreathe in hatred and anger. He roared and charged to attack Shere Khan. The tiger dodged Scar's scratches and then he aimed for the throat. Scar yelped in pain and pushed Shere Khan with his claws. Scar kept on roaring and attacked once more. Shere Khan was stronger than him, and he pounced into the air and went to Scar's throat once again.

Within seconds, Scar fell to the ground, dead. Shere Khan was the winner.

In a moment, Simba arrived, along with Bageerah, Baloo, and Kaa the Python. They stopped in their tracks and looked at the lifeless Scar on the ground.

"Isn't that Scar? But Simba, you said he was eaten alive by Hyenas!" said Kaa.

"This was not Scar. This was a dark being created from Scar's darkness." said Simba.

He walked towards Scar's "corpse" and put his paw on his ribs. In a second, he vanished in a puff of smoke.

"Wow. Khani got Scar's ghost…. That's pretty awesome." said Baloo.

Shere Khan wiped the dark blood from his lips. "Scar didn't work alone. A raven was here. That backstabbing animal works for the witch." he said.

"Where is Soren?" asked Bageerah.

"Balto has him. He'll be safe for now. But Soren is in danger. They sent Scar after him." said Shere Khan.

"Then we've got to stand guard. Who knows what they intend to do with our prince." said Simba.

"Once the villains are gone, will you take over your father's place in the Circle of Life?" asked Bageerah.

"Yes. You are a King." said Baloo.

"The Pride Lands is my home, but it's part of this world. And remember what Soren taught us all…. The road to dawn is going to be a challenge." he said.

"This does not make sense. I'm confused." said Kaa.

"The road to dawn… don't you mean to road to light everlasting?" asked Bageerah.

"We can discuss proverbial prophecies later. Soren needs a safe place to stay. We should go and see what happens. Simba, you take the lead." said Shere Khan.

Simba nodded and walked with his soldiers by his side. They then met Balto, who was with Oliver and Dodger.

"Prince Soren is safe! His parents sent for a fairy to guide him someplace else." said Oliver the Kitten cheerfully.

"Did you kill Scar?" asked Dodger worriedly to Shere Khan.

"I did and I didn't. He was but a ghost of the darkness." said Shere Khan.

"Then that means that the darkness is getting stronger." said Balto.

"What are we going to do?" asked Baloo.

"We should all be ready for war. What started at Disney is going to end right here." said Simba.

"No… are you serious? War?" asked Balto.

"Snow White and Denahi think so. And so do Mickey." said Simba.

"Mickey? Where is he?" asked Baloo.

"He is hiding with Bugs Bunny." said Kaa, almost seeming to chuckle.

"With who? Oh, the rabbit from Acme Acres." said Bageerah.

"I do like him. I like how he outsmarts that hunter." said Shere Khan.

"So… what's next?" asked Balto to Simba.

"We wait… we wait until Snow White tells us what happens next." said Simba.
