Author's Notes

1. I do not own Xiaolin Showdown but I do love both of the series. I do own Gloria/Gizmo who is Jack's daughter in fanfiction; she'll be a character throughout the story and I hope you will all like her

2. Due to the back to back holidays, a busy work schedule, and other real life events; it's been around two months or so since I've posted and I apologize for that. Hopefully I will be able to post more often but I can make no promises.

3. Standard warning - There will be more yaoi in future chapters, but if that's not your thing then luckily for you it's not in this chapter.

4. If anyone has ideas on what Jack, Chase, and the rest of the group can do together I would appreciate feedback. I have some ideas but they're mostly random things I found on the internet about things "Rich" people are said to enjoy, since Jack's family are hardly what would call a stereotypical "Rich" family I'd very much like unique ideas.

Jack awoke about an hour later, feeling fairly well rested and far less full then he had previously; with renewed vigor he quickly unpacked his suitcase, which he had left alone in the corner so he could nap, and then made his way out into the hallway.

"I wonder if the others are up and about yet? Hopefully they are, I suppose I'll start by knocking on Chase's door and go from there." Jack thought to himself before glancing over to the door next to his own room.

"Chase? Are you in there?" Jack asked as he knocked on the door.

"Yes I am, please come in if you like." Chase said upon hearing Jack's voice.

Having been invited in, Jack was quick to make his way inside and saw that Chase was reading a book; though the dragon overlord was quick to place a bookmark into the book and close it upon seeing Jack.

"Sorry if I'm interrupting." Jack said apologetically after Chase had closed the book.

"You're not interrupting Jack, if you were I wouldn't have invited you inside." Chase said in an amused tone.

"Now then, I take it that we will be checking to see if your family has digested breakfast yet?" Chase added, knowing what Jack was thinking without him saying so.

"You know I'd pretend to be surprised you knew what I was thinking but I suppose it's obvious." Jack said with a chuckle.

"In any case, yes; I was hoping you would come with me and see if everyone is up and about." Jack added with a nod when Chase just smirked at him.

"Of course I'll go with Jack. I must admit that after how elaborate breakfast was, I am looking forward to seeing what we'll be doing together." Chase said as he stood from the armchair he had been sitting and reading in.

"Knowing my Mother, Vivianna, and Cosette; it's hard to say what we'll be doing. Though I doubt they'll interfere in our relationship right away, they'll try to be more subtle now that they know we're aware they're going to be interfering." Jack said with an amused sigh.

"I'm not sure if I should be concerned or amused by that statement." Chase said with a slight chuckle.

"Probably a little bit of both to be honest. Though you'll have me to stop them from interfering if they get too into it." Jack said smiling, though in a more serious tone.

"Thank you Jack, but as you know I can handle myself." Chase said with an amused smirk.

"Oh I know, but I also know my Mother, Vivianna, and Cosette; if they're determined to interfere then they'll go all out if they have to. I will gladly put a stop to their shenanigans if it makes you uncomfortable." Jack said, again in a serious way.

"Thank you Jack, I truly appreciate it. If I become uncomfortable I will tell you; mostly I am both intrigued and amused by their willingness to interfere and assist us, I will be looking forward to seeing what they come up with and getting to know them in the process; Vincent and young Felix being included as well of course." Chase said with an appreciative smile.

"Now then, let's leave my room and see if we can find everyone." Chase added as he opened the door to his room.

"Felix, Gizmo, and Hera's rooms are the closest to us; though knowing Gizmo she'll be either playing with Felix in his room or he'll be playing with her in hers." Jack said as he and Chase started walking down the hallway.

"I take it the two were close before you and your daughter were kidnapped by your father in law." Chase asked in a curious way.

"Well Felix was only a year old when we were taken; but Gizmo would always go up to him as a baby and try to interact with him in some way. Now that he's older I'm sure she's thrilled that he can play with her properly, though I'm not really sure what he thinks of her; other than he apparently thinks it's unfair that she has a teacher already and wants to attend lessons with her." Jack explained with a shrug.

"Your daughter inherited your intellect after all, she may be four but that much is clear. It's unreasonable for any normal child to think they could already be at her level and keep up with the lessons she is given." Chase commented.

"You're not wrong but trust me when I say that Felix is no ordinary kid. Vincent graduated med school at seventeen and quickly became well known enough that he became my private doctor, also as I already mentioned; Cossette graduated culinary school at seventeen and opened a restaurant at eighteen... So yeah, Felix is hardly an ordinary kid." Jack explained.

"Fair point, I suppose I shouldn't underestimate the boy; if Hera agrees to teach him while we're here then far be it for me to discourage him." Chase said with a nod of acknowledgment to what Jack had said.

"I was hoping you would say that Master. As it stands, Vincent has already spoken to Felix and has told him I will be allowing him to join Gloria's lessons; the two have been happily chatting in Gloria's room and I was about to head to your and Mister Spicer's rooms to inform you." Hera's voice said suddenly, causing Jack and Chase to realize that they had stopped just outside her door.

"Ah hello Hera, good to know that Felix and Gizmo are excited for your lessons; though I'll have to insist that you be very careful when it comes to a elemental training you may choose to do with Gizmo, I'm not sure how Felix would react to seeing such things." Chase advised.

"Of course Master; if I could justify it I would simply avoid giving Gloria any elemental training, however, given that we will be here two weeks it is unacceptable to avoid elemental training that long. I will simply have to find a way to teach Gloria those particular lessons while Felix is not around." Hera stated in a calm and logical way.

"If you two are really that concerned about Felix seeing Gizmo use her elemental powers I can tell Vincent to make up an excuse to convince Felix to leave at a certain time." Jack offered before Chase could comment on what Hera had said.

"Would Vincent not wonder why Felix needed to leave at a certain time? I did inform him that not all my methods of teaching were not traditional, but I did not elaborate." Hera asked in a curious way.

"Well he already knows who Chase actually is, so if I briefly go over..." Jack started to explain to Hera but got interrupted before he could finish.

"What do you mean he knows who I am Jack!? You didn't tell him, did you!?" Chase asked in a surprisingly concerned way.

"Of course not, he found out through unconventional means." Jack explained quickly, blushing a bit at the fact that he knew he might have to explain exactly how Vincent knew.

"And what exactly were these unconventional means Jack?" Chase asked in an insistent way

"Can I just say it has to do with the embarrassing crush I had on you as a preteen and leave it at that?" Jack asked in a hopeful way.

"I'd much prefer if you elaborate, even if it is embarrassing for you; this is a rather important matter after all Jack." Chase said with the slightest of smirks at Jack's embarrassment but still looking very serious.

"I used to collect trading cards of popular Heylin members, and let's just say that I had a lot of your particular card. My mother showed both Vincent and Alana the cards when she and started dating, much to my embarrassment Vincent remembered them; though until meeting you in person he thought you were just a character in a show that I liked." Jack explained, knowing full well that he was steadily turning more and more red from embarrassment as he spoke."

"Also I can't prove it, but I'm sure my Mother probably knows who you are too; after all she's the one who showed the trading cards to Vincent and Alana, and her memory is excellent. Also she knew more about the Heylin then I ever gave her credit for, when I first left she had said it was for the best and that as young as I was I couldn't expect to be good at being evil and that I shouldn't worry about it for a while." Jack added, trying to change the subject as both Hera and Chase looked at him in amusement.

"And she has no problem with an evil dragon overlord being in her house; or being around her Son and granddaughter for that matter?" Chase asked curiously.

"My mother's side of the family has always been into some weird occult type things, I'm talking about things that most people would consider super dark stuff. So no, I honestly don't think she'd care that you're here; especially since she knows how I felt about you when I was younger and now all of a sudden I'm bringing you home to meet her." Jack said in a very embarrassed way.

"So aside from your Mother and Vincent do you think that any of the others have any idea who I am?" Chase asked, smirking slightly at the comment about how Jack's Mother wouldn't mind him being around.

"I don't think so, but I haven't exactly had time to ask Chase. Vincent just randomly acknowledged knowing who you were, and my Mother has made no mention of it but I absolutely sure she knows; though she'd never casually mention it to any of the others without a reason." Jack said with a slightly flustered sigh.

"Forgive me for adding my opinion, but if you would humor me then I will say that for now Master I would suggest we not worry about Mr. Spicer's family knowing who you are, they have been very polite thus far; it would be best to continue interacting with them as we have been and they will likely do the same." Hera said suddenly in a calm way.

"You're right Hera, I need to just continue on as we have been. As long as things remain the same then there's no reason to be concerned, if necessary there are methods we can take with dealing with the family knowing who I." Chase said, completely regaining his composure.

"Non lethal methods I hope!" Jack asked in a clearly concerned way.

"Of course Jack, I would never harm your family; even if for some reason they became hostile upon discovering my identity." Chase stated calmly.

"Thank you Chase, but they're not going to become hostile; even if they did all find out who you are." Jack said in a more relieved way, though also trying to reassure Chase as well.

"They have been very kind thus far so I'd be inclined to agree with you, still it's hard to say what they would all do if they discovered my true identity." Chase said in a calm and logical way.

"In any case we should get your daughter and her cousin, then we can find the others and see what we'll be doing." Chase said in an attempt to change the subject.
